Please, please, PLEASE do not use this place!!! I've had my storage here for three years now and my monthly bill is so HIGH that its nearly impossible to move my stuff out and get a new place!!! 1. I chose this place not only for the price but mainly for the times it was open. It was open VERY early and closed VERY late... as the years have passed the times have changed to later and earlier and make it impossible to get there in time between my crazy work hours. 2. I have damage to my belongings because of their crappy storage units. You are basically choosing storage that are sitting diesel carriers, whatever those are called. LOL .. NONE of their storage units have climate control and everything at the door of my storage unit is covered in mud and debris where its not sealed when its closed. :( 3. The rent space went from $99 to $158. And no one gives you any warning about the increase!!!!! 4. The receptionists or whatever you want to call them are A JOKE. I dont know if its new management but the first year was fine but the last two have been horrible. They are NEVER there... I have gone and sat for two hours waiting for them to come back after their "we'll be back at 1pm" and it was literally an hour and a half later. This has happened at least 5 times in the last year! :( And i live far from this storage unit, to make the time to drive out there on my one day off is hard enough!!! I know this storage is not perfectly brand new but but they have old school values... at least most of the time, they have been very patient with me more than I expected. My boyfriend and me and my friends went here to get a storage unit because our friends had just gotten in a car crash almost lost there life and they had lost where they had been living the guy running the storage unit tonight would not sell them a unit because they were smoking marijuana legally mind you were all 21+ and he refused to sell us a unit because he didn't like the fact that we were smoking. Mind you when we first got there the power was out we waited 30 minutes still got no help and drove to do some other stuff came back before 7:00 and the guy refused to sell us a unit and I will be calling corporate or management or whatever I have to do because this is discrimination and It's probably because I'm black ... The name of the Guy is ( Martin ) He is so polite and so nice you will not expect it! Everything seems so good. I told him I had to go talk to my mom about the storage space. He said it was going to be $54 a month for a 8 x 5 storage space. I was walking out with my daughter and he said to me before you go I'll give you a special $29 this month and $30 every month from now on but you have to get it now. I said well I need to go talk to my mom are you gonna be here tomorrow he said no I'm not gonna be here the whole week. So I went Looking for my mom but she was sleeping. So from $54-$29 I thought it was a good deal so I went back without my mom's confirmation and told the guy I was going to do the deal. He started doing paperwork ask me for my debit card swiped it for $44.12 sadly at that point I didn't see the amount he charged me. So he first charge my debit card and then gave me the form and said sign here while I was reading the form I told him why is it saying $44.12 he said just sign that one and I'll explain everything right now . He said don't tell anybody that I'm giving you this deal. So by then I already had signed the form I was trusting him. Then once he seen I had already sing the form he tells me it's going to be $39 a month and if you're late one time it's going to go back up to $54 a month he started being super straight up and not the person I was dealing with at the beginning my daughter was there to prove that I am not lying I felt so mad that this guy had played me so hard. I looked into his eyes and I told him you lied to me you made me sign and charge my card and you lied in my face he kept saying I didn't lie I never said it was $29 a month he said I said $39! So at the end I was really disappointed because I already had paid and signed that form. I walked out I asked my daughter did you hear when he said 29 to start and $30 a month from now my daughter said he has I heard him I'm so disappointed in this please. read more

My mom and I have rented a storage unit here for at least five years haven't had much of an issue other than hard to get a hold of anybody to address any issues we recently relocated and decided to move all my moms belongings out of the unit we called beforehand to get information on submitting a 30 day etc. we were told that we can move out on the first and that depending on how far along we are into the month the amount would be prorated which was not true upon turning in our unit we were told that we did not turn any seven day which we were not informed to and that no money would be refunded I wish they would not have different people in there every day so that they knew what they were doing we were told at one point we would be refunded the money supervisor knew the situation then the lady came on the golf cart which had no information and no clue what she was doing and told us that we would not be receiving it and drove away we asked if we could just keep the unit and put in her seven day and she said no no 7 day required once again she seemed kind of shaky and a little unsure I believe her name was Linda please read all information to your lease and consider a second option before renting here I am totally in disbelief that they would take advantage of an old lady and be so misinformative I will never be renting here again I was more than happy to pay any prorated rent for my mother to vacate the unit they refused they processed payment immediately and said they would not be refundable $98 was taken from my mother without any effort in helping her resolve this issue thanks for taking advantage of the elderly read more

Okay, this review is based on the experiences I personally have had with this storage unit... So feel free to use your own judgement. In the beginning it was great and they helped us get set up and seemed very friendly. Within the first month of renting a unit, the rains came ( El Nino ) to my surprise we arrived at our unit and it was soaked. There was over 1500.00 worth of damage done to our storage unit. The lady Felicia was more than willing to help us and said it will all be taken care of with the insurance that was purchased with our unit. To make a long story short, it took the corporate office 5 weeks to agree to pay on the faulty unit with roof leaks. Mind you, it also took another 6 weeks for them to cut the check. So it took a total of 11 weeks for them to take accountability to repay for our loss. They didn't even pay the total amount, they did their own appraisal and deemed approx 1200.00. ( the claim was about 1800.00 ) In the mean time me and my girlfriend paid and borrowed to regain our losses for items damaged. Management was very rude when it came towards the last 8- 11 weeks to receive the check. All they kept saying was you will receive it within 4- 6 weeks. The funny part was that this business waited 6 weeks to the date, after the 5 weeks wait, to issue the check. I have the envelope as proof. ( post marked by USPS. ) So a total of 11 weeks to make things right for me and my girlfriend. Due to the money we have borrowed to replace and repair our belongings by the time we received the check, the money was already spent. ( considering it was 500.00 short of the claim. ) We owe a measly 144.00 to them and we have gotten non stop harassment calls from MGMT Felicia Rameriz and Damian Dingle, twice a day requesting we pay them the 144.00. I am happy to pay them the money, but it should be less of the late fees they are adding, and letter fees. They need to put themselves in our shoes, we were new customers and had all this misfortune done to our stuff, based on their negligence or poor repairs. Not to mention when all this happened, I had to hire a crew of 4 men for 5 hours to move all my damaged stuff from the storage unit with a roof leak, to a new one. Mind you, they never offered any type of compensation. So I feel me and my girlfriend have been the ones getting taken advantage of here. I have asked many times over and over for a corporate number and email, to no prevail. Felicia and Damian keep saying they have no number for us. So I am writing this review based on my situation and to let everyone know how they treat customers there. They started off nice, then did a 180 degree turn. I called them today to rectify the situation and received nothing but attitude and rude comments from Felicia and Damian. I then had to explain to them the call was being recorded and they changed their tune. I will be more than happy to pay them tomorrow, if they waive the late fees. IT'S THE LEAST THEY CAN DO FOR ALL THE TROUBLE AND MONEY WE HAVE LOST IN THIS WHOLE ORDEAL. I really wish Arlington Self Storage will take ownership and accept the fact that all this was caused on their end with poor maintenance and management. I have lost over 2000.00 from repaying people and re buying the damaged items. I want to pay them, but feel I am entitled to the fees being waived for late fees and a letter being generated. I mean come on, anyone in my situation would agree. For some reason Felicia feels the need to be rude and make statements that we don't want to pay them. I have already said I will pay the balance tomorrow minus the fees. And more than likely i will just move my stuff to a more established business that treats their paying customers with more respect and not let management feel they don't have anyone to answer to. I am a business owner myself, and if someone asked for corporate information I would gladly give it to them. It took 14 weeks to receiver their management's # 951-682-1107, which I have not yet to receive a call back from. So if anyone needs this number feel free to call it. Like I said, it took me 14 weeks to get this info. Very poor management skills and she even got ghetto with me on the phone. Do not rent at this place. All rude, incompetent, and doesn't have a clue what they are doing. So many issues, I don't know where to start. #1) First issue is follow-up issues. Prior to moving in, I called and emailed the property asking about specials, move-in process, and "the free move-in truck". The problem is really don't have a "free move-in truck" because when you want to use one, they have so many rules and regulations, and it does cost something....not free, and if it's convenient enough for the employee to go pick up the truck from another property. Otherwise, you are out of luck. #2) Month is not free! I moved in the last day of the month, and I was charged for the current full month insurance, and the next month. Even after I didn't want insurance. Insurance should be an option, not forced on us, and if it's mandatory, tell us what law indicates that it's mandatory. If we declare the items priceless, insurance shouldn't be mandatory. The words "Free" does not apply to anything related to this property. Neither does the word "Nice". #3) This property requires 7 days notice to vacate. In any other company and self storage facility, all this means is, make sure to let them know 7 days prior to move out that you will be moving out by the end of your paid thru date. Not here!! According to the Manager/Regional Manager/Owner/Attitude/She has no one that she reports to person that I encountered at 5:30PM 10/24/2017. According to this all mighty person, 7 days notice means you have to be vacated 7 days prior to, your paid thru date. So let me get this straight, you want us to move out 7days prior to our paid thru date, and you will not refund us the 7 days left on the contract? So you can possibly turn around and rent that unit the same day, and turn 7 days profit on everyone of your customers. Another words, they aren't getting the full term or paid thru dates they paid for. This is the most idiotic thing I ever heard. It's no different than me ordering a steak, but I can only eat 3/4 of it. Really? Can an upper manager please get rid of these two, and hire someone with customer service skills, and someone that know the rules and policy. Also, try hiring people that enjoys their jobs. Both times I walked in the office, neither girls said a single word to me. Not a hello, how are you, or even a goodbye. Nothing! Instead they were too busy on their cell phones. Oh there is more.... #4) After I went in and told the Manager/Regional Manager/Owner/Miss I answer to no one, that my unit was empty, and after she gave me an attitude and couldn't explain the 7 days notice to vacate policy. She locks me inside the property. I was seriously locked inside the property and help as a hostage. I entered my code in at the exit gate several times, and nothing. I sat at the exit gate for a while, while she slowly drove around in her golf cart picking up trash. When she approached the gate, I asked her to let me out. Instead of doing so, she tells me that I need my move out receipt. I didn't even ask for one, and I have an email address that it can be sent to. Again........Whoa!!! 5) Homeless people sitting and hanging out in their unit all day long, and they are allowed to have guests come and chill out with them all day long. Every single time I been to my unit, I seen the same homeless people just chilling inside their unit. I'm a big guy, but if I was a females coming in and out of my storage, I would be worried. 6) I received a move out receipt. On the body of the receipt this is what it says, " =========================================================================================================================================." Again this is what happens when you hire incompetent idiotic people, with no customer service, and people skills. No name at the bottom of the email, and not a thank you or anything. I used to be a Self Storage Regional Manager for five very large properties in SD and Orange County. If an employee treat one of our customer's like this, that employee would not be given a second chance, or ever hired. If you are looking for a storage unit in this area, there are at least a dozen of them. Do not rent here, it's not worth it, they false advertise, and they don't care about their customers. read more

I called to get some info on available units and costs but the lady wanted to know all my info first- name, how soon do you need it, etc. What??? She treated me like I was another storage place fishing for competition info. Anyway, after finally getting an answer from her she said there is a $29.99 admin fee for the first month! My parents have been renting out a storage unit here for the past few years. I have never had a problem before, but today I needed to get a few things. The gates say they close at 6:45 and I arrived at 6:37. All I needed was to get was a few items which would have taken me less than 5 minutes (having moved multiple times and using this storage before) and they refused to let me into the gate stating that I was too late and wouldn't be able to get out. The man working there was condescending and asked me how long we had had the storage unit for. I hope that this employee doesn't treat other people like this and talk down to people that have units there, especially people like my parents. The only reason I will continue to use this storage unit is that it is close to my parent's house, otherwise I would recommend a cheaper storage unit with better hours and people that treat their customers respectfully. read more

Horrible customer service. I was late on a payment due to losing my job.They threatened to call the cops on me and my children when I went in to pick up an item to sell, in order to make a payment. When I explained the situation to "management" and I say this sarcastically because she's obviously never been formally trained, she just kept repeating immaturely that she has the "POWER" to have me arrested in front of my 4 & 5 year old children for opening the storage. I understand rules which is why I packed up and closed the unit. But I don't understand why she would came back telling me "the cops are on the way and I have your license plate number ". When I asked her what the reason was for this escalation I was told "I take my job seriously ". I have no problem with rules but when they are followed out mindlessly with no compassion or understanding there is a problem. I am disappointed in a person or company that would allow such inhuman nonsense. Some people just love drama I guess. read more
