I went to Able Storage to rent an 8x10 storage unit. I told the clerk I needed an outside drive up unit as I am handicapped and can't haul boxes down long inside unit hallways. The clerk said they had several 8x10 units and wrote me up. When I arrived the next day I couldn't find my assigned unit, then saw a sign showing my unit was not only indoors but at the end of a very long hallway. The office was closed so I called, got their voice mail, explained the problem and went home to unload my truck. When I called on Monday morning I was told they only had one outside drive up unit left, but it was a 10x10 and $50 per month more than the 8x10 I was sold. I told them I'd take it but couldn't come down to do the paperwork until Tuesday. The clerk said they would "reserve" it for me. When I arrived Tuesday morning I told the clerk who I was, the problem and was there to claim my reserved unit. The clerk clicked on the computer and told me the unit I had reserved had been sold the day before. However they had one 10x12 unit left, but it was $100 per month more than the 8x10 I originally wanted! I realized this whole act was a "Bait & Switch" routine and told the clerk to cancel my 8x10 and refund my card. The clerk than told me it could take up to a week for me to see the refund. They thought because I'm old grey and handicapped they could scam me. WRONG!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! These people can not be trusted!!! read more

This place is the absolute worst I called to notify my mom was was hospitalized and was told as long as I paid before Monday there would be no extra late fees assessed...well that was complete lie I went in on Sunday to make my moms monthly payment and was told the fee was already assessed and charge to my mother's account so I tried to explain to manger Ruben about the situation and what the call center had told me and he didn't care about my mother being hospitalized or us not being able to afford the extra $40 fee...they are the worst and try to squeeze any money outta their customers as much as they can so they can try and auction your unit out read more

Returning a Budget 16' van three-day rental proved a completely different experience than the prior reviewer. Scruffy, rude and lazy are the best description I have for their staff... When I arrived at their facility just after 4:00 PM, I found their gates closed, so I parked the truck in their parking lot. On entering the premises, I was told by Aaron, the assistant with an attitude, to "drive the truck into the premises", where they had now opened the gates. I said the truck was on their property and just wanted to return it, to which he responded "not until you drive it through those gates you haven't". OK, back in the truck and drive it into the secure area, where their self-described manager, a scruffy looking guy named Shawn, told me to "fold those blankets". Ignoring his command to fold blankets, bought threats from Aaron regarding charging me $25 for the privilege of having them fold their blankets on my behalf. He then went on to lecture me regarding returning vans with folded blankets and completely clean inside. Unfortunately, after driving it 7 hrs and unloading its contents did not prepare me for the rude reception on retuning it to ABLE STORAGE. This company has management problems, to put such ignorant people up front with paying customers does not bode well for their business success. read more

I've had a unit at this facility for over a year ... one whole year of hassle free peace of mind. I come and go as I please and its always well maintained, quiet and spotless. I picked the facility because I felt my stuff would be safe in the hands of Ex Law Enforcement ... but they are actually very good business men as well and understand what's important to their customers. The say that they provide a truck to move and they do, what they don't tell you is that you only have one hour to load and unload, and if you go over they charge you $70. This place was the worst storage place I have experienced. read more
