The space was very nicely designed and well lit. The parking was the trickiest to figure out, but there is parking spaces on the back as well as street parking across the street. Walking in, it was very warmly designed and had plenty of space and seating options from solo or group settings. There's some outlet options around as needed as well. The menu was around the top front counter with baked goods for viewing. I wanted to try their signature drink Arise. The staff was welcoming and assisted promptly and explained to me that it was like a latte with cinnamon swirl syrup which sounded great to me. It's definitely a nice spot to stop by if you're in the area! read more

Beautiful space inside! It's large with tons of searing. They have an extensive menu as well, with lots of options from coffee to smoothies. I went with an iced pumpkin latte, which was perfectly sweet and a great pumpkin flavor. Service was quick and my drink was ready soon after ordering. read more

The coffee is fine. It's probably the second best indie coffee (that I've had) in Burnsville, but that is not saying much. The decor is clean and uninspired. The lady I always see working there is pleasent enough, butthe coffee & milk are fine, and the syrups are Torani/mediocre. It's about as good as you would expect to find in small burb, such as this, but I wouldn't go out of my way, either. read more

I love trying new coffee shops! I stopped in and I had the tumeric cinnamon tea iced, with vanilla zero sugar flavor. It was so good! Couldn't walk away with grabbing a scone -I grabbed the cranberry orange! It was my first time in and the staff were friendly and recommended I add a flavor to my tea. Ambiance is cozy and has two fire places. read more

Recently came here with a friend and really enjoyed my time! Parking was a little tricky to figure out at first since I'm not as familiar with the area but there was a public lot just around the corner. The shop itself was super cute with lots of tables to sit at and I would imagine it would be a great place to read/study or meet up with people. My drink itself was very good - I had the Vietnamese coffee, I ended up adding a touch more milk since it was very strong but very yummy overall. Prices were pretty similar to other shops but nothing outrageous. read more

An adorable coffee shop in the south metro! Met up with fellow Yelper Ben K. for a late morning coffee break and what a fantastic suggestion. The space inside is really cute with lots of seating. I just wished there were more of the couches and chairs, but also understand that the space isn't unlimited. I always like to switch up my drink orders and if the place I go has a special that sounds good, I will likely try it. The special the of the day was a strawberry milk latte. I was expecting it to be super sweet and it was pleasantly balanced. We were also there just before lunchtime, so I grabbed a raspberry pastry and a snack box for the road, both of which were delicious. If I find myself back in the area, I will certainly make a stop at Arise! read more

Cute coffee shop in the heart of Burnsville. Came to work remotely but could imagine coming for coffee with a couple friends and chatting. Coffee was great and customizable - I needed low sugar and the staff were able to recommend something and accommodate me. Parking is a little tricky but there are options at the back of the building. read more

Super cute cafe. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a strawberry açaí. It was good! It wasn't that busy or loud. There's a small room in the back with a white board and some tables. They have a wide variety of drinks and food. read more

I've been to arise a few times now for a morning get together. They have a parking lot and lots of free street parking making it easy to get to!! You walk in and it is very spacious. It reminds me of some smaller town cafes but it is right in the suburbs so it is unique for where it is located which I love. They have a cool fireplace against the wall when you walk in and you have lots of seating options from tables, to high tops, to comfy chairs in the back. They have games available for you to borrow too! There are also lots of folks studying in there so you can tell it's a cozy atmosphere. As for the food I got their current fall special, Lingonberry Turkey Sandwich. I added lettuce and tomatoes which is normally extra but they did not charge me which was really kind of them. The sandwich took a bit to get, but we didn't mind because we were playing games and chatting. Once I got it though, it was the best fall sandwich I've had! I definitely recommend this place for a study spot, a date, or just some you time! read more

This coffee shop is convenient to an area I'm in a lot. We were able to park in front in the 10-15 min parking spots because we planned to just grab a drink to go. It looked like they might have had parking in the back. They had a nice patio area outside with a lot of seating and they had a lot of seating inside as well. I do wish the menu was better placed, when we went it was under the main counter. I got the upside down chai latte iced. It was really good. Prices were fair. They also had a decent food menu as well, if I ever go back I'd probably try something. The staff seemed a bit busy but overall they were nice. It was pretty quiet inside, so I'd say it would be a nice place to grab a coffee & chill/get work done. read more

One of my favorite coffee shops, the breakfast sandwich on croissant is amazing! They have lots and lots of seating which is hard to come by nowadays. The coffee is also 10/10! read more

I met a colleague here for a work meeting for my first visit. I decided to have a smoothie and I'm so glad I did. I chose the berry flavored smoothie and it was full of berry goodness. So delicious. We chose a table on the porch. There is so much seating here in different nooks. It's a nice place to have a meeting or just some quiet time. With the cars going by, the porch got a little loud but it was a lovely place to enjoy a beautiful morning. Service was quick. Parking was a bit confusing. There is no street parking right in front (drop off only on Nicollet). The lot next door is supposed to be for the businesses to the south of Arise. There is some parking across the street. read more

Decent coffee shop! Not amazing but a nice little place to meet a friend or grab some lunch. The coffee itself is just okay. Baristas are friendly and there was plenty of open seating. I didn't try any of the food, so I will have to come back sometime to try something. The location is convenient to Heart of the City, although you may have to park around the corner. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it's worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

Lovely little cafe that we visited on fathers day. Service was super friendly and the coffee and breakfast sandies were great.

We found this local cafe in the heart of the city in Burnsville. The patio was large and super nice! They have plenty of seating inside as well with a cozy sofa and fireplace. We enjoyed our coffee date and people watching spot on the patio near the downtown park. They also are dog friendly which is a bonus! They offer build your own breakfast sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, soups with breadsticks, lots of pastries, smoothies, and much more! They definitely got a little something for everyone and every coffee drinker. Our breakfast sandwiches were made fresh and on a delicious croissant. I ordered their upside down latte special for my drink and it was a pick me up with the espresso shot, yum! We will be going back to this spot for sure. read more

My new favorite coffee shop to study!! It's got a cozy little fire place in one area and couch seating in the back, so take your pick! It was really quiet Saturday morning until about 830am. By 830, it wasn't loud by any means. I got an oatmilk latte and the two sizes both have 2 shots each, so I went with the smaller size for my ratio preference. They have a lot of baked goodies I will Absolutely the next time! Plenty of parking around the area. read more

Best new coffee place in Burnsville! This is a must stop, must try pick me up. The location is in the heart of Burnsville, right across of the park. There is parking on the side and two fast parking right in front. I like their cappuccino's, how their system works is: small has 2 shots Medium has 3 shots Large has 4 I would recommend the medium. It's a good balance of smooth flavor of espresso and frothy milk. We also get scones! Especially cinnamon flavored! They are very good and easily can share with two people. I am very impressed with their service and indoor and outdoor seating. So may options. Good for larger groups and great for little kids with strollers. Overall the coffee is great and doesn't taste bitter or burnt. read more

Cute little coffee and breakfast spot nestled in the city. Very friendly staff and great environment. We are definitely coming back!

Customer service isn't great at all. Ever. I've been there 10+ times now bc it's convenient location wise. A couple of the staff have an attitude in general and act like you're inconveniencing them just by ordering and if/when they make the order wrong if u dare ask them to correct it they are so irritated with you. This is the 3rd time this has happened!! Overall, as a business owner I would train my staff to be kinder and realize customers are why they have a job in the first place. An attitude of gratitude is always the best way! read more

Really good coffee and specialty drinks. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Nice selection of pastries.

Definitely worth a visit, if anything just for the atmosphere! Such a cute spot and so cozy. We had the opportunity to sip our coffees right near the fireplace and it was perfect! We ordered biscuit breakfast sandwiches with sausage and cheese -- highly recommend adding the veggies. Overall super impressed with the vibe, a perfect place for a Saturday coffee date here in the south metro. Side note ** Arise is tricky to find, blink and you might miss it! Such a cute coffee shop! The ambiance is very calm & welcoming! It would be great for grabbing coffee with a friend, working remotely, or hosting a meeting! They have a conference room available with the ability to close the door & whiteboards! I will be keeping this in mind for an off-site work meeting! When I arrived, the barista was extremely welcoming and helped make some recommendations based on drinks that I order other places. I ended up getting the "Arise" latte and it was delicious! I also tried their build-your-own breakfast sandwich and was satisfied! I LOVE that they have a vegetarian sausage option since I have many friends that tend to find difficulty finding options other than oatmeal at some other smaller coffee shops! Service, coffee, and breakfast was great! I'm excited to go back and try their lunch/appetizer options! read more

I like the new atmosphere at this place. Very open and airy. My coffee was good, but not great. But the service was very slow. It took a long time just to get a coffee, and the place was mostly empty. I was hoping this was because I was there on off hours so they didn't have much staff, but my wife and some friends went here on a Saturday morning, and said the wait was similarly slow, and the food was just okay. Too bad. read more

When I walked in no one was waiting, didn't get a hi or a welcome in. Felt very cold and like the barista didn't want people in there. When coming up to the counter I just felt very off put by the vibe and like I was an inconvenience. first time here and no kindness was given. Ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich and their small size brown sugar shaken espresso. Came out to 18$ and some change The sandwich was good and made fresh to order. Croissant was warm and buttery. The coffee however was not great. The espresso was insanely bitter like the shot had died so long before they mixed it leaving a literal ash taste in my mouth and was terrible. I went up to the counter asking if I could get more brown sugar or oatmilk to try and save the drink because I was not enjoying it. I was met with attitude from the employee saying they don't use syrup but brown sugar packets and that it's the most popular drink of the summer. I informed her I prefer actual brown sugar in my espresso anyway then syrup and she basically ignored any thing I said. She gave me another packet of sugar (which did not help) and she stated very sarcastically "sorry to disappoint you" I said she didn't disappoint me. nothing could have saved the drink tho. I went and sat back and could hear her talking about me and the brown sugar fiasco. I decided to go back up after a while ordered a danish which was very good and I asked for a substitute drink which I NEVER do but paying 7 dollars for a small coffee I want to enjoy my drink while working and I drove 20 minutes to come try this coffee shop. She did switch out the drink for an iced chai. It is basically a cup of milk With the smallest hint of chai. So I wouldn't recommend this shop for its coffee or employees the pastry I got and breakfast sandwich were good but I would not be coming back. Total spent before tipping was 23 dollar read more

What a little hidden gem in Burnsville! I get my hair done at a salon not far from here and I'm always looking to support a local place for coffee instead of Caribou when I can (not that there is anything wrong with Caribou I just like to support the little guys too!) and the day I stumbled upon this place made me so happy! I have been back every time I've had a hair appointment since and I foresee this being my new coffee place going forward! The menu is really quite incredible for how small and quaint the coffee shop seems to be. I've ordered a handful of seasonal flavored coffees and they've always been excellent. I'm planning on trying some of the smoothies and food when I have a little more time on the weekends so I can bring my husband with too! It's much larger once you're inside with plenty of seating on both sides of the counter. I'm very much looking forward to enjoying the patio once it gets warm out again! I believe I've come across the owners a couple of times and you can tell they really believe in what they're selling and want to make your experience as great as they can. You can't beat that with how low customer service has been these days. read more

Just really underwhelmed relative to the overly kind reviews. I left the line after it was not moving at all. As I stood there menu items like "snack pack" Was $5 for basically a bundle of grapes. They offered those hard boiled eggs that come pre-packaged. The menu writing was unappealing hand written and hard to read. I walked out after both waiting too long and realizing there was nothing I actually wanted. Arise has been a regular part of my week for a year now. I have never once been disappointed by my drink (and I've tried a lot of items on their menu). Colette and the whole team are fantastic! Arise Nicolette should be called 'Go back to bed Nicolette' as the owner had quite an attitude this morning. When someone orders two drinks and two danishes and then asks to have the ice cold (hard) danish warmed up, they shouldn't be lectured that it's wrong. Doesn't the customer know how they enjoy the danish? And perhaps when their older companion is trying to do the right thing by picking up their plates when finished, instead of making them feel foolish for bringing them back to the incorrect location, you nicely point them where they should go instead of mocking them? You should be embarrassed, but somehow I bet you're not. read more
