The space was very nicely designed and well lit. The parking was the trickiest to figure out, but there is parking spaces on the back as well as street parking across the street. Walking in, it was very warmly designed and had plenty of space and seating options from solo or group settings. There's some outlet options around as needed as well. The menu was around the top front counter with baked goods for viewing. I wanted to try their signature drink Arise. The staff was welcoming and assisted promptly and explained to me that it was like a latte with cinnamon swirl syrup which sounded great to me. The coffee is fine. It's probably the second best indie coffee (that I've had) in Burnsville, but that is not saying much. The decor is clean and uninspired. The lady I always see working there is pleasent enough, butthe coffee & milk are fine, and the syrups are Torani/mediocre. Recently came here with a friend and really enjoyed my time! Parking was a little tricky to figure out at first since I'm not as familiar with the area but there was a public lot just around the corner. The shop itself was super cute with lots of tables to sit at and I would imagine it would be a great place to read/study or meet up with people. My drink itself was very good - I had the Vietnamese coffee, I ended up adding a touch more milk since it was very strong but very yummy overall. An adorable coffee shop in the south metro! Met up with fellow Yelper Ben K. for a late morning coffee break and what a fantastic suggestion. The space inside is really cute with lots of seating. I just wished there were more of the couches and chairs, but also understand that the space isn't unlimited. I always like to switch up my drink orders and if the place I go has a special that sounds good, I will likely try it. The special the of the day was a strawberry milk latte. I was expecting it to be super sweet and it was pleasantly balanced. We were also there just before lunchtime, so I grabbed a raspberry pastry and a snack box for the road, both of which were delicious. This coffee shop is convenient to an area I'm in a lot. We were able to park in front in the 10-15 min parking spots because we planned to just grab a drink to go. It looked like they might have had parking in the back. They had a nice patio area outside with a lot of seating and they had a lot of seating inside as well. I do wish the menu was better placed, when we went it was under the main counter. I got the upside down chai latte iced. It was really good. Prices were fair. They also had a decent food menu as well, if I ever go back I'd probably try something. The staff seemed a bit busy but overall they were nice. I've been to arise a few times now for a morning get together. They have a parking lot and lots of free street parking making it easy to get to!! You walk in and it is very spacious. It reminds me of some smaller town cafes but it is right in the suburbs so it is unique for where it is located which I love. They have a cool fireplace against the wall when you walk in and you have lots of seating options from tables, to high tops, to comfy chairs in the back. They have games available for you to borrow too! There are also lots of folks studying in there so you can tell it's a cozy atmosphere. As for the food I got their current fall special, Lingonberry Turkey Sandwich. I added lettuce and tomatoes which is normally extra but they did not charge me which was really kind of them. The sandwich took a bit to get, but we didn't mind because we were playing games and chatting. Once I got it though, it was the best fall sandwich I've had! I definitely recommend this place for a study spot, a date, or just some you time! read more

I met a colleague here for a work meeting for my first visit. I decided to have a smoothie and I'm so glad I did. I chose the berry flavored smoothie and it was full of berry goodness. So delicious. We chose a table on the porch. There is so much seating here in different nooks. It's a nice place to have a meeting or just some quiet time. With the cars going by, the porch got a little loud but it was a lovely place to enjoy a beautiful morning. Service was quick. Parking was a bit confusing. There is no street parking right in front (drop off only on Nicollet). The lot next door is supposed to be for the businesses to the south of Arise. Decent coffee shop! Not amazing but a nice little place to meet a friend or grab some lunch. The coffee itself is just okay. Baristas are friendly and there was plenty of open seating. I didn't try any of the food, so I will have to come back sometime to try something. The location is convenient to Heart of the City, although you may have to park around the corner. We found this local cafe in the heart of the city in Burnsville. The patio was large and super nice! They have plenty of seating inside as well with a cozy sofa and fireplace. We enjoyed our coffee date and people watching spot on the patio near the downtown park. They also are dog friendly which is a bonus! They offer build your own breakfast sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, soups with breadsticks, lots of pastries, smoothies, and much more! They definitely got a little something for everyone and every coffee drinker. Our breakfast sandwiches were made fresh and on a delicious croissant. Customer service isn't great at all. Ever. I've been there 10+ times now bc it's convenient location wise. A couple of the staff have an attitude in general and act like you're inconveniencing them just by ordering and if/when they make the order wrong if u dare ask them to correct it they are so irritated with you. This is the 3rd time this has happened!! Overall, as a business owner I would train my staff to be kinder and realize customers are why they have a job in the first place. There is parking on the side and two fast parking right in front. I like their cappuccino's, how their system works is: small has 2 shots Medium has 3 shots Large has 4 I would recommend the medium. It's a good balance of smooth flavor of espresso and frothy milk. We also get scones! Especially cinnamon flavored! They are very good and easily can share with two people. I am very impressed with their service and indoor and outdoor seating. So may options. Good for larger groups and great for little kids with strollers. When I walked in no one was waiting, didn't get a hi or a welcome in. Felt very cold and like the barista didn't want people in there. When coming up to the counter I just felt very off put by the vibe and like I was an inconvenience. first time here and no kindness was given. Ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich and their small size brown sugar shaken espresso. Came out to 18$ and some change The sandwich was good and made fresh to order. Croissant was warm and buttery. The coffee however was not great. The espresso was insanely bitter like the shot had died so long before they mixed it leaving a literal ash taste in my mouth and was terrible. I went up to the counter asking if I could get more brown sugar or oatmilk to try and save the drink because I was not enjoying it. I was met with attitude from the employee saying they don't use syrup but brown sugar packets and that it's the most popular drink of the summer. I informed her I prefer actual brown sugar in my espresso anyway then syrup and she basically ignored any thing I said. She gave me another packet of sugar (which did not help) and she stated very sarcastically "sorry to disappoint you" I said she didn't disappoint me. nothing could have saved the drink tho. I went and sat back and could hear her talking about me and the brown sugar fiasco. I decided to go back up after a while ordered a danish which was very good and I asked for a substitute drink which I NEVER do but paying 7 dollars for a small coffee I want to enjoy my drink while working and I drove 20 minutes to come try this coffee shop. She did switch out the drink for an iced chai. It is basically a cup of milk With the smallest hint of chai. So I wouldn't recommend this shop for its coffee or employees the pastry I got and breakfast sandwich were good but I would not be coming back. Total spent before tipping was 23 dollar read more

What a little hidden gem in Burnsville! I get my hair done at a salon not far from here and I'm always looking to support a local place for coffee instead of Caribou when I can (not that there is anything wrong with Caribou I just like to support the little guys too!) and the day I stumbled upon this place made me so happy! I have been back every time I've had a hair appointment since and I foresee this being my new coffee place going forward! The menu is really quite incredible for how small and quaint the coffee shop seems to be. I've ordered a handful of seasonal flavored coffees and they've always been excellent. I'm planning on trying some of the smoothies and food when I have a little more time on the weekends so I can bring my husband with too! It's much larger once you're inside with plenty of seating on both sides of the counter. I'm very much looking forward to enjoying the patio once it gets warm out again! I believe I've come across the owners a couple of times and you can tell they really believe in what they're selling and want to make your experience as great as they can. They offered those hard boiled eggs that come pre-packaged. The menu writing was unappealing hand written and hard to read. When someone orders two drinks and two danishes and then asks to have the ice cold (hard) danish warmed up, they shouldn't be lectured that it's wrong. Doesn't the customer know how they enjoy the danish? And perhaps when their older companion is trying to do the right thing by picking up their plates when finished, instead of making them feel foolish for bringing them back to the incorrect location, you nicely point them where they should go instead of mocking them? You should be embarrassed, but somehow I bet you're not. read more
