    Dirty floor
    Anna Z.

This is local place in Slaton. Not bad with the food. Three stars because this is my third time here and for some reason their floor is always trashed. I have visited at very different hours and days. Once at 3 in the afternoon with only three tables being occupied on a Wednesday. Another at around 6 in the evening with five customers on a Monday. And this time at 2 pm on a Sunday with half of the store plus their drive thru out to the street. Wouldn't you think someone could walk around with a broom and dust pan? The first time I visited I just thought they needed to catch up on cleaning. But, no. It's the same no matter when, I'm guessing. Plus the little girl ringing up my order screamed and giggled when she saw one of her friends arrive and ran off after I signed my bill. The waitresses are very sweet but as far as the prices we should expect a bit more cleanliness. And if you order to go shouldn't your meal automatically come with chips and salsa?

Found this little gem hidden off the beaten path. Tacos, chips, salsa and the customer service was all good, don't pass this place up! #fgmd

Nice selection of Good Mexican food, fast service, and friendly staff. My favorite meal is the carnitas.

Very good and authentic Mexican food. Service was nice! Reminded us of The River Walk in San Antonio!

Our server, Michelle, was terrific! Large plates of food. Great place to stop on our drive from Colorado to Austin.

Now the food-- we ordered a cheese chile relleno dinner, a barbacoa taco on flour, and an al pastor taco on corn, and they were phenomenal!

Wowza - what an experience !…read more La Diosa is one of those places that immediately pulls you out of whatever mood you walked in with and drops you somewhere entirely different--in the best way. From the moment you step inside, it feels less like a restaurant and more like an old-world café, wine cellar, art gallery, and lounge all layered into one eclectic, soulful space. The interior is stunning and thoughtfully chaotic in a way that works: exposed beams, hanging lanterns and star lights, rich colors, Frida-inspired art, mismatched tables, velvet chairs, communal seating, tucked-away corners, and rooms that feel like they were meant for lingering conversations. Every turn gives you something new to look at, whether it's a massive art installation overhead, a wall of wine, or a cozy lounge setup that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Food-wise, tapas and paella are the stars here. This is the kind of menu that encourages sharing, ordering a few things, sipping wine, and letting the night unfold. The chalkboard sign lets you know what they're proud of--and it shows. Pair that with their wine selection and you're set. There's also live music on certain nights, which fits the space perfectly. After a certain hour it shifts into a 21+ vibe, and it truly feels like the place comes alive in the evening--dim lighting, music, conversation, and that intimate, almost transportive energy. La Diosa isn't rushed, flashy, or trying to be trendy. It's warm, artistic, and unapologetically itself. Come here when you want an experience, not just a meal. It's ideal for a date night, a long catch-up with friends, or anyone who appreciates atmosphere just as much as what's on the table.

Service was absolutely fabulous--attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaged. Food came out…read morequickly, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is eclectic and interesting. Now to the food and beverage side. The menu offers wine only, which isn't ideal, but I understand that's a choice every owner has to make. The meatballs were clearly pre-made and then reheated in the Marsala sauce. They were overly salty, and the sauce itself lacked balance it leaned heavily acidic, almost vinegary, without the richness you'd expect. The "Barcelona" pizza was solid, but again, shortcuts were noticeable. The crust was clearly pre-made. I appreciated the heat, but overall the flavor profile was fairly flat.Best thing I had was freshly baked bread it was fresh and tasty. Overall, great service and atmosphere, but the food execution didn't quite live up to it.
