Nice atmosphere, I like the decor. The staff is friendly and very patient. A family type atmosphere. The asada has nice flavor, good seasoning and delicious. The taco salad is good but the chicken with the sauce is hot to the taste. Being a southern boy, I believe I found an authentic homemade Mexico hot sauce. My tongue lost its taste buds! You have been warned! The food was good and worth the price though not very expensive. There is a good selection. Thank you for making my first visit great and welcoming. In Lubbock for work, saw this place driving around. Stopped in for a chimichanga, didn't realize they didn't offer sauce with it, but with that being said it was great. Fried perfect, wasn't greasy, and you could tell the fry oil was clean and fresh. I stopped in twice more for breakfast burritos. Both times got the bacon, egg and cheese with tator tots instead of potatoes. First off the burrito was huge, plenty of eggs and thick cut bacon. Tator tots give it a nice touch imo. The love I have for their chimichanga is unnatural. I've had their chimichanga on numerous occasions and they have never failed. It's always fried to perfections and comes out at an amazing crisp level. Their carne asada fries are also just as good. Stopped by here on the way back home after leaving Lubbock. A very nice man was working the window and he did a great job. The order took a while to come out which I'm hoping just means that it's made fresh. We ordered Cowboy French Fries and Carne Asada French Fries and tacos and burritos. Having never been before, we didn't realize that the helpings of everything were so large and filling. We were presently surprised by that, it makes it much more worth your money. Our bag was very heavy with food because the portions are large. The beef had really good flavor and seemed well made and everything was great. It is a bit greasy, which was our only complaint, so if eating it in the car while traveling as we were, you might want to grab some extra napkins. Overall, we were very happy with the food quality and service and are happy to know about this place for future visits to Lubbock. This is my favorite mexican restaurant. They have a huge menu and you're able to see the workers cooking the food . The employees also are smiling and very quick with orders . The food and service is extremely good. They care about their customers. I go here often and they are consistent, they never skimp on the size and the portions they give you are huge and worth the money. They give you 3 hot sauces and napkins without asking which seems to be a big deal these days where they don't give you anything without asking. Unsuspecting as it may be, it is some of the best Mexican food you'll find in Lubbock. Started with some chips and salsa. Salsa was a little suspicious looking, and I said as much before I tried it (I don't usually love salsas that have an orange hue), but man it was incredible. Excellent flavor and very spicy. Chips were solid. I got three tacos: carnitas, carne asada, and grilled chicken. Carnitas were good. Grilled chicken was great. And the carne asada was incredible. Hands down the best I've had in Lubbock. Corn tortillas were good. Dad got steak fajitas and they were incredible. In fact, he's the one who insisted I post a review. I come to this part of town and I have to stop at this place it is so incredible the 12 rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese or only $7.75. Their beans are awesome. Only real major issue is there's nowhere to sit to eat if they would just closed off one of the sides to prevent the wind it would be amazing but based on food alone I give it a five-star for food and service BUT as far as a place to enjoy your food on a cold or hot day. As a born and raised San Diegan, that's like finding the holy grail. Alas, this is not the grail. I ordered the 5 rolled tacos (w/ guac and cheese) and the carne asada fries (half carne asada and half pollo asada). The rolled tacos really didn't have a lot of meat (or flavor) and the guac was...sauce. I actually thought it was enchilada sauce. The fries were a good portion size but again, no real flavor at all! I don't understand how that can happen. Also, there was no pico (which I confirmed they came with). Same style of "guac" too. Last, I asked if they had chips and salsa to go; was told yes and received just a box of chips (great chips). No salsa other than the little containers. I am so bummed. I am not from town and coming here and experiencing "Tex-mex" was a real disappointment to Mexican food. Being from Southern California I approve this place! Everyone needs to go and try the food. They are fries covered in cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and meat and trust me when I say they do not skimp you on any of it!
