I got the shrimp soft taco and it was seasoned like cool ranch doritios and I accidentally got the wrong California burrito with beef and the accommodated and gave me one for chicken instead and I added a side of rice and beans in the burrito and it was fantastic. I'm definitely coming back here. They don't have wifi so I wouldn't recommend trying to get work done here but overall a great spot! read more

As a former resident of the 858 (San Diego) I'll say Roberto's is great. It's a bit pricey, but tasty for the price. I do wish the California burrito had sour cream, but boy oh boy do they give so much meat for the price in EVERY taco and burrito. We had an issue with pricing for additional onions, and the owner himself gave the whole item to us for free and apologized for the mixup. Great service every time, and huge (i mean huge) drinks. Love their horchata and jamaica-- guacamole rolled tacos are really really good too. Carne asada fries hit the spot every single time. Check out this place when you got some time (just keep in mind the drive-thru curve is kind of tight for larger cars). read more

Customer service through the drive thru was so disappointing tonight! The granddaughter was very snappy, rude while I was ordering and told me "you're confusing me", then asking me if I'm done when I Literally had been pulled up for like a whole 30 seconds. All i was trying to order was 3 surf and turf fries with one no pico, no quac , one reg, one no pico. Then when I got to the window she tried to stare me down and ask me why do I have an attitude. Little girl! I'm looking at you cause I don't know if you need my phone or do you have a machine you're going to hand me through the window?? So I pulled around got out so one I could pay for my food, two explain why I was giving what I was giving. Family owned business so I talked to the brother that was at a different location after getting no where with the two that were working there so me trying to explain to them was no point. I'm standing there still trying to pay, and then she says "well It's been ready for you! " Them two trying to run a location is not going to be good unless they start getting some customer service training. Not spending my money there anymore. read more

I just want to give credit where credit is due. We stopped in here a couple times since our last experience, on Sunday night, I want to give a shout out to the two male employee's working. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. Very professional. I do have to add that they have a couple girls running the drive thru now who are awesome, but seems like there is a new person every time I have stopped in. If you are from san Diego or know Roberto's Taco Shop from San Diego and are in Lubbock, TX and need a Roberto's fix this will do! Their menu is smaller than the original in SD but it works. The guacamole is not the real stuff but the rolled tacos are. The hot sauce is off too but close. The beef tacos were on point as well as the carne asada burrito. Great service! And lots of tables on the side of the restaurant plus a drive thru. read more

I got the 3 rolled tacos combo and they were delicious! The guacamole, rice, and beans were both really good! I would definitely recommend this place. They also have a drive thru! Staff was friendly too! I wish I would have posted a picture, but I at it took quick. My only negative was that the small lids didn't seem to fit their small cups... so don't grab the cup by the lid because it will fall off. read more

I would have given this a 4 or 5 for the food, which is really good, but I've ordered for delivery about 5 times through UberEats, and each time the order has had something either left off or replaced with something else. The best things here are the carne asada tacos and the rolled tacos. I could eat several orders of those rolled tacos. They are generous with the guacamole, unlike other restaurants. read more

The only good thing to come out of California to Texas! Asada Fries The Carne Asada is tender, flavorful and the portions are generous. Price is SPOT ON and they even called me to say my To-Go was ready and they even waited for me to get there before they topped off the asada fries so they wound not be soggy! I got carne asada fries and an asada burrito. The fries had way too much sour cream. They also had very little meat, and multiple pieces of "meat" were inedible chunks of fat. The burrito had more meat but it was so greasy that I couldn't even finish it. No excuse for Mexican food in Texas to be this bad. read more

I came 30 mins before they closed and I already felt bad because I work in retail but I feel like 30 mins is an acceptable amount of time to make an order, just one car ahead of me they were incredibly rude and cut me off while ordering. Saw awesome reviews and figured we would give it a shot. There were 6 cars ahead of us so it took 43 minutes until we placed our order. Almost an hour from the time we arrived to the time we left. Was hoping it would be worth the wait but it wasn't. We ordered 3 different burritos. Flavor was ok and the potatoes were a bit hard in the middle. Tried it when it first opened. the only issue I had was the salsa. The salsa needed help. The salsa is on point now. I literally just went to go pick up Carne asada fries and a burrito. I love that they use queso fresco and not melted cheese. It's Mexican and not tex mex. No quessso but queso fresco. Pricing is a little steep, but you do get a big portion. For a burrito combination and carne Sasha fries it was 20$ but I'll keep going back. It's good food. I've yet to try their aguas frescas. Im a little skeptical. I'm a Jamaica snob and orchard snob. I ordered a beef and cheese burrito and a Carne asada, potato, and cheese burrito. They came to the window to ask if I wanted to add rice and sour cream to the Carne Asada burrito. I said why not but please do not add anything to the beef and cheese burrito because my daughter was picky. It was ready pretty much immediately. It cost 20 dollars. I got home and my daughters buried was a Carne Asada, onion, tomato, cheese, and TONS Of JALAPEÑOS. Mine was missing the cheese, and potatoes, and had a ton of guacamole (THAT I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO). THE MEAT WAS ALSO VERY DRY AND CHEWY .. TASTED OLD AND REHEATED IN A MICROWAVE OR SOMETHING. I THINK THEY GAVE US OTHER PREMADE BURRITOS SOMEONE DIDNT PICK UP SO THEY CAN GET OUT QUICKLY. the tortillas also looked plasticy and gross.... very tough. I called to let them know my order was completely wrong... especially and paying 20 dollars for it. They said I needed to drive across town again just to get my refund. I was annoyed but had to buy my daughter more food anyway so I went anyway. When I got there they closed earlier then the note on the front door and the girl was gone that told me to go up there and they would submit a refund. The guy that was still there went ahead and opened the drive through window and was extremely rude, refusing the refund and angry at me. He yelled at me saying he wanted to go home and had things to clean and that it was his day because it was Father's day. I told him how I was told by them to go back up there by their request on my only day off as well AND I was also a single mother without help from a father and was just trying to get my family food. He VERBALLY ABUSED me and finally gave my fefund. In the end it was a horrible experience and will never return due to bad food and horrible service. read more
