I concur with everything said in other reviews regarding the tacky ownership! We (my mom, her two sisters, and I) popped in to see if they had any Mother of the Bride dresses. We found one for my mom to try on at it became a bit of a debacle from there. The owner was SO rude and SO pushy. We were trying to give my mom some honest feedback about the dress and the fit, and the owner interrupted us every. single. time. to defend the dress and styling. We asked if she could try on a few different accessories, and she seemed to take it personally if we said we didn't like one or it wasn't what we were looking for. I ASKED the owner if it would be okay to take a picture of the ensemble, and she GAVE ME PERMISSION to do so. My mom decided to sleep on it, and we were given the yarn that "this is the last one" and "we won't be able to order it anymore." I asked if we could have the style number then, so that I could call and see if it was still available prior to coming back in if my mom decided to purchase it. The owner exclaimed, "Absolutely not! This is couture and we don't do that. We don't allow any information or photographs of our dresses, and you already took a picture." I pointed out she had allowed me to do so, and she said something about her thinking we were serious about buying it. The ironic thing is...my mom probably would have purchased the dress and the accessories she liked right then, had it not been for the owner who really ruined the entire experience. I'm glad she didn't though, because thanks to a helpful yelper below, I found the same dress at New York Dress for over $100 cheaper, and the same hat for $125 cheaper at Hats in the Belfry. It's clear that nothing will change here, as these consistently horrible reviews go back for several years, but I wanted to add my two cents and thank some helpful yelpers for saving me some money and not supporting a business with such atrocious customer service. read more

This is the worst store anyone could go into. The owner is a liar and absolutely rude. I still can't believe they still run this business because on the way they treat their costumers. They make you believe the dress is coming from Europe over seas (which the order should come approximately 4-6 weeks) which in my case I received my dress less than a week. They charge you for overnight shipment, and I tried to exchange my dress for something more expensive and they said no. She wanted to charge me for the 25% of the stocking shipment. My daughter is very particular, selective, classy, elegant in her style of dress, specifically for an event albeit formal or informal. We began our search early in 2018, being that its her senior year and all, her choice in color was a "white classy dress for the last year", last year she wore a red beautiful classic, so I knew the search would entail much research for this. My online search quickly ensued for the perfect white slimming gown (sweating as I'm seeking), just about every search turned up "NOs" from my daughter...yes I know someone else should have searched for her own dress (my daughter) ....but that's neither here nor there . Ok after days of searching, I came across this BEAUTIFUL, dynamic, flowy, GORGEOUS white clingy gown....I then showed my daughter...and to my surprise ...I got a thumbs up and eyes! THANK GOODNESS!! Next step, where can I find such gown , of course I wasn't shopping or searching from just any one boutique, this particular dress showed up on runways, etc. so the WORK was on!! Contacted a local popular boutique and was told "no we do not carry this style of dress or designer but we have many other dresses and styles"....so my search continued! Went to the designers site and there it mentioned a select few boutiques who carried the designers work and of course those stores were not nearby. I remember the night like it was yesterday, clearly, it was the 2nd Friday in January, a cold night...how do I remember you ask...I recall thinking "I sure don't want to move from under this heated blanket sitting in my comfy chaise to gather my financials, anyways it was about 20 to 15 minutes before the stores closing time and I called and my goodness, there was an answer!!! 1st positive: PHONE was answered near closing time! Inquired about the designer and dress, was told the dress is not in the store and asked if I could hold. At this point, a bit downtrodden I was thinking I may not get this PERFECT DRESS for my daughter. Then there's this lovely voice talking on the phone (2nd positive) PERSONALITY!! Definitely goes ALONG way with me! Personable, Caring, Charming, Customer Service oriented, Aram (the owner) was magnificent! I must admit I was quite leery calling the store after reading some of the reviews and was honestly preparing myself for a "bad experience" but I can honest say it was the complete opposite and sooo grateful I called! She did say the store didn't carry that particular dress but she would work to find the dress for me and did so by checking her system. There were 3 sizes for this dress...2, 4 and 12 and I was torn between the 2 and 4 and didn't want to run the risk of ordering the wrong dress and then the other size would sell....and Ms Aram could detect the hesitation and slight worry in my voice...so she then offered to order both dresses for my daughter to try on...who does that without paying for both? I sure didn't receive that service for my daughter's last years prom . (Positive #3)! So why did I feel this connection was destined...I had just caught Aram right before she was leaving for a show out of the country and made all of this happen before she left! She's amazing!! . She asked us to come up to try the dress on, we live almost 2 hours away...and she let us know when the dress would arrive and we set a date and my daughter and I went up. We were greeted by 2 marvelous associates, Marjan and Mirtha! Very very helpful to someone as indecisive as I am! I love them...they were so compassionate..they both felt motherly...love it. Because of sooo much personality and kindness, I purchased the dress in January and left the store with the dress in tow and spent an additional $300+ in accessories But it was well worth it!!!! I called the store in advance to determine if they had a dress in stock. The person who answered asked me to send her a photo of the picture to her personal phone which I thought was weird but ok, I can block your number later, no big deal. She immediately tells me they have the dress (without even checking the store) & when I said I would come in the next day, she insisted that I come same day or the dress may be sold. Well I live far so that wasn't happening. So I come in the next day, & the lady I spoke to wasn't there but the manager tells me "oh no the dress was sold yesterday, it had someone else's name one it, but we can order it for you" ok so if that's true which I doubt, why in the world would you try to sell it to me the day before someone else was supposed to purchase it? So I leave because now something clearly is off. Then I get a phone call today from my original lady saying "we got the dress in, in your size today. I don't know why she didn't tell you last night, can you come in today?" I'm like realllyyyyy?? You suddenly got my exact size in today? Sure ya did. Unfortunately for them, I took my $950 elsewhere to purchase my dress. There were clearly some lies told & there are some unsavory business practices at this store. This is the WORST experience in my life! I can't believe such owner and store could still exist! She treated me like I was lying and she would not honor what her employees had agreed with me. She ruined the whole life time experience of buying a dress for my son's wedding. I was about 3 weeks before attending the wedding and still searching for a perfect dress. I went in this store and two employees (Mirtha and the seamstress) greeted me and brought out this satin dress which i immediately fell in love. It's a sample so the size didn't fit but they promised that they will measure and order and it will fit me perfectly. They measured me and were comparing to the size chart, then found out that the size that's closest to me will only fit in Brest and waist, the hip will be bigger. I was hesitating since I rarely buy anything without trying on and they say once I order it I can't return it, even though it's full price! I hesitated for a long time, but the Mirtha and the seamstress convinced me that if the hip doesn't fit, they can easily alter it (using the machine to narrow the sides a bit, fast and easy), for $25! (Note this is weird that they say the ordered one should be custom fit but yet it is just standard sizes and I may still need to alter with additional cost!) Since they were nice and friendly and helping me trying different accessories, I decided to buy it. A few days later when the dress arrived, sure indeed it's a bit wider on the hip so I asked ok I will pay $25 to alter it! Man! This time, Mirtha was not there, the owner was there, and she refused and kept saying in 35 years of history she would never do the alteration for $25, that I forced this price on her and she would never do it! The seamstress was there but she couldn't do anything even though she remembered our agreement a few days ago! I explained that this was what Mirtha and seamstress told me a few days ago, she said it was a mistake, then I said if it is a your employee's mistake, you should honor it! She was so rude and mean. While I was waiting, I was telling my experience to another customer, the owner rushed over and threatened me that she would call the security and everything is on tape and saying I was harassing her --- Ghee, I wasn't even talking to her how would I harass her? Its a $15 difference! I've paid hundreds already for the dress, I wouldn't mind to pay $15 more if she were reasonable and friendly. By the way, they also charged me $25 shipping! I could believe a store which doesn't care about customer experience could exist. I could barely drive home and my kidney was hurting (never happened before) and my blood pressure was high! I came to write a review just to warn people of the tacky ownership and I can see why! look at all the negative reviews! you'd think as a business owner you'd get the hint that something needs to change! I came in here just to check it out because the beautiful dresses caught my eye. I also have a wedding to attend in a few weeks so this place had so much potential in helping me find a dress! well. I walk in and was greeted by an employee. and then I'm assuming, the owner walks in. brunette mid 40s woman. and she just completely changed the vibe in the shop! she starts scolding her employees, while customers are in the shop! apparently a potential client was interested in a dress but the store didn't have her size and so the employee called to find a size. (customer wasn't in the shop when this was happening) but, the owner was yelling at the employee that she refuses to check size availability if there's no actual payment. first off all, WTF? why would anyone PAY for a dress that they're unsure if you even have it?! that is ridiculous. after a few minutes of listening to her disrespect her employees, I left. I do not want to support a business that can't have an adult mature conversation in training their staff. read more

The service I received at Aram boutique was nothing short of a dream. From the minute I walked in, I was regarded with the upmost respect and dedication of time. I had an upcoming Gala I needed a dress for on short notice, and she made sure I was completely satisfied with all of my choices before finally deciding on a beautiful gown (that was also so affordable!). They then matched me with a tailor who catered to my every need, and got the dress fitted with additions in less than three days to accommodate my traveling schedule. On top of this accommodation, the mall was closed and they still came in to the store to do last minute adjustments. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and to top if off, the dresses were beautiful. I would highly recommend all to even stop by the store to receive wonderful service and look at the plethora of dresses and accessories they offer. read more

I was given a dress as gift from this horrible place, it was too big. I called them 2 hours after the item was purchased to see if I can get a smaller size. She said no?! She said we don't have a smaller size and if you want a different size you have to pay full price ( the dress was on sale ) I asked if I can exchange it with something else? This store and its owner do not stand behind the merchandise they sell. I purchased an expensive piece of costume jewelry ($275) that had a stone fall out after one wearing. I took it back and it had to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair. While the repair was free, I was required to pay a $25 shipping charge. Upon its return, on wearing it for the first time, another stone fell out. I went back to the store and the owner told me there was nothing more she could do. it is unconscionable to me that an obviously defective product could not be returned nor could I get a store credit for an item that I could not wear. Called several boutiques looking for a particular dress. They were one of two that had the dress. Drove over 4 hours to try it on. Sales ladies were great. Not pushy and well knowledgeable. Price was a little higher than I could have bought it online but I get they have to pay rent and electric etc. will definitely shop here again read more

Amazing customer service. Aram herself and her co worker by the name of Mitra made my cousins and I feel so welcome in their store. They really did want the best for us and made us feel at home with showing dresses. The customer service was so amazing that I sat their for an hour because I was so comfortable. The dresses are the most beautiful we have in this area, no where beats it!They have the first of every dress and they are honest and truthful. They didn't try to force any dress on us. The saleswoman rudely told me that I need to leave the store immediately, since my son was eating a piece of candy and he will get the clothes dirty! DO NOT SUPPORT ARAM BOUTIQUE! I Recently walked out of the store because I was denied from trying on a gown. I grabbed a beautiful gown off of the rack and went to try it on. I was then approached by a salesperson (I think the owner) and asked what size I wear. I told her that in gowns I can fit anything for a 6-10 depending on the cut. This is often the case for me and my body type especially. She then proceeded to look me up and down and say " the material of our gowns is very expensive and we can't have you stretching it". I then politely said "I'm a professional opera singer and I try on gowns for a living. I would never force a gown to fit". I thought that was the end of it so I began to head to the dressing room. BUT NO! She pulled out a measuring tape and tried to forcefully measure me. I immediately got upset and asked if she measures every potential client before the try on a gown and if I could see this protocol in some writing or anything official. Of course she didn't have that. She was either racist or just plain mean, but whatever the case no custom should "EVER" be treated in such a way. Oh and not once was there an apology! Only defensiveness. I reviewed the store on Facebook and had many of my esteemed colleagues and friends comment. She has since removed all of our reviews and comments. This place is awful and I highly recommend not even giving them the benefit of he doubt! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! Neiman Marcus has gorgeous gown right next door. read more

Avoid this place! Similar to a previous reviewer, I also bought a $275 handbag from the store only to have a stone fall off of it the first time I wore it. I took it back the next day and they told me they would be sending it to the manufacture to have it repaired. Only a few days later, it had somehow arrived back from the West Coast where it was repaired. When I went to go pick it up, it was clear the bag was never sent out and the repair was done in shop and not by the manufacturer. The stone that was replaced did not match any of the other stones on the purse and was cheaply and carelessly glued on. I wore the handbag a second time and, again, more stones fell off. Aram boutique told me they would have to charge me $25 for shipping to go back to the manufacture. I was not about to pay them another cent. This place does not know how to run an honest business, does not understand what customer service means, and has faulty products (which is probably why they have a no return/exchange policy because they know they sell crap). I'm actually surprised that a high end mall like Tysons Galleria houses this phony "boutique". Do not waste your money or your time here!! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The owner is pushy and a liar. I went in to possibly purchase a dress for my wedding. The sales associate was wonderful and worked out with the owner that I could put a deposit down for 2 days to think about. After not being able to get over how rude the owner was I decided I didn't want the dress. I called to let them know to refund my deposit and to thank the associate. The next day I get a call from the owner saying she accidentally changed my card and that my deposit would not be refunded it was now a store credit. I explained to her what we discussed and she told me I was wrong, screaming at me at the top of her lungs and told me to shut up 3 times! I did however in the end get my refund back due to the associate and the extra money charged on my card. I just happened to find this store about an hour before closing. I am so glad I did. The clothes are beautiful, the jewelry is exceptional and the staff was wonderful. I bought a beautiful necklace, for my daughter. It is a one of a kind piece and she loved it! Another word on the staff.. I was wearing jeans and sneakers, have a bi-racial family and certainly don't look or act as if I have a lot of money, but they were attentive and kind. Don't shop at this store!! Went for a fundraising event and was drawn to a fur shall. The tag on the shall said origin Spain but the tag inside the shall said made in China. When I asked the sales women about the tags, she said the fur is from Spain but stitched in China. I immediately thought that has to be inefficient and expensive shipping. I inquired about another item, a fur vest with a hood. The tag said the same, from Spain but there was no tag inside the vest to tell you how to care for the vest but I liked the vest and expressed interest in the vest to the sales associate. The sales associate looked at the tag and question the price to the owner. The owner said she would check the inventory check list. When she checked she said there was no price on the inventory list. I told her the price is on the tag she said ok she would go by their tag $760 but later changed her mind when I decided to purchase the vest. I told her that this is horrible customer service and even got the host of the special event involved, to only be told the price of the vest is $1400 but would sale for 25% discount. When I heard of the news I said I would still make the purchase but after reading the other poor reviews and poor customer service. I decided not to make the purchase. Not a good way to do business especially for charity. Never down for the bait and switch. Also note no one else attending the event prices were questioned. Stay clear!! read more

I cam to Aram boutique Memorial day weekend looking for an evening dress, Martha I sales person was very helpful and found a nice dress that I liked. I was going to think about it but she told me to buy it today because there is 25% off. I bought the dress and today after 40 days I was looking at my receipt and found out she forgot to give to me. I called Martha and she said she remembered me and asked her if I can come and make the adjustment and she said yes. Ten minutes later the owner call telling what am saying is not true!!! and that Martha didn't recognize me, actually she put her on the speaker and listening to the owner saying they never had any type of promotion!!!! the sales person had to agree to whatever her manager is saying!!!! stay away from aram boutique if you can help it. unfortunately, it's one of the only places that carries some actually beautiful evening dresses in this area. I understand that aram specializes in evening wear, however I came looking for a prom dress. there were so many beautiful gowns in the store but I was told there was only one prom dress left (in February?). the sales associate led me over to "the only prom dress" which was a tacky, bright teal dress. I told her I did not like the color but she insisted it was the only color for me because of my eyes. finally she took me over to the other dresses and picked out one I might wear if I was going to a Catholic high school's prom. I pointed out another one I liked and she laughed and told me it wasn't for prom and it was too expensive for me. then she read the price expecting me to agree with her. we never established a budget. next she picked out a different dress that I liked and we went to the dressing room. the store specializes in evening wear and could only come up with 2 dresses for me. I tried on the first one to be polite but quickly regretted it. after I got it on she told me to put on the "heels" that were provided in the dressing room which were actually 1-2 inch old lady style wedges that looked like they had been worn by someone with dirty feet everyday for the last 5 years. I got outside to look in the larger mirrors and I asked her to take a picture of me. she was about to take it when she looked at me funny and said with a laugh "suck in your stomach" (strike one). after she finished taking the pictures she handed back my phone and said "you're going to need spanx to wear this." (strike 2). mind you, I am a 18 year old girl who wears a size small in just about everything. I was tempted to leave the store right then and there but I decided to try on the second dress which I actually liked. after I tried it on she insisted on giving me her card. she was writing the dress's info on the card when she said "oh...this dress is expensive...its $690". to that I replied, "that fine." she seemed surprised (strike 3). for being in the galleria I expected a much better selection, and much better service. the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the evening wear selection which she deemed too expensive for me. I will not be returning to aram and I suggest you save some time and skip it as well unless you want someone to assume that you're poor and tell you need spanx when you wear a size 2. read more
