I cannot recommend Celeste enough for wedding dress alterations. From the very first fitting, she was incredibly kind, professional, and an expert in her craft. Wedding dresses can be delicate and complex; she immediately understood exactly how to tailor my dress so it would give that custom fit glow. My alterations were extensive and totaled close to $2,000 and every single detail was done with such care and precision. She carefully pinned and explained each adjustment during my fittings so I always understood what she was doing and why. When I put the dress on at my final fitting, it truly felt like it had been custom made just for me. The fit was absolutely flawless, and she created a beautiful 5-piece bustle that blended seamlessly with the design of the dress and was easy to manage. Celeste made the entire experience feel calm and enjoyable during what can be a very busy and stressful time while planning a wedding. Every appointment felt organized. She was always patient and reassuring throughout the entire process. Knowing that my dress fits perfectly for my wedding day (next week) is such a wonderful feeling. It's for experiences like the one that I had with Love Couture Bridal that I REALLY REALLY wish there was an option to add more than 5 stars!!! After the bridal store I had originally purchased my wedding dress from told me they "lost" my dress 5 days before my wedding - I was in a state of absolute shock!! From that bridal store, I went to straight to Google and searched for 'bridal store near me', and started going through the reviews and pictures! I was immediately blown away by the pictures of dresses I saw at Love Couture Bridal, so I immediately gave them a call, briefly explained my situation and asked them if they took walk-ins - and they told me to head on over!! Fast forward - I literally cannot BEGIN to tell you how I went from feeling overwhelmed and panicked, to completely calm and at ease!!! And that was ALL thanks to the AMAZING team at Love Couture Bridal; especially Lauren!!! From the minute I walked in, Lauren sat me down and explained what my options were given that my wedding was 5 DAYS AWAY!!! Yes... 5 days !! I described what I was hoping for in terms of styles, gave her my size and within 15 minutes she had at least 10 dresses pulled and ready for me to try on. Did I need to try on all 10? No - literally after trying on the second dress both my mum and I were in tears because it was evident that that was THE dress for me!!! After choosing the dress (or perhaps it was the dress choosing me), I was taken to another fitting room where Celeste (one of their AMAZING seamstresses), worked with my mother and I to go through what was needed in terms of the fitting. The level of attention to detail, and the kindness that was shown by Lauren and Celeste was absolutely AMAZING!!! My mother and I had a difference of opinion on how low the cut should be with my dress - and Celeste listened to us both and found an amazing middle ground!! After paying for the dress I was told to come back two days later for the final fitting - and I literally could not have been more in awe!!! Everything about Love Couture Bridal will forever remain close to my heart! Their beautiful selection of wedding dresses, their impeccable service, exceptional staff and willingness to help problem solve with such a tight turnaround!!! Love Couture was the worst experience of my bridal journey. I was there to try on a dress from a trunk show and was told by India that I had to come back to do my measurements in two days, which clearly doesn't make sense when other bridal shops would take measurements right then and there. India then signed me up to come back to do my measurements for the dress without my consent two days after. I was then told I had an appointment in two days after and I had mentioned I don't need the appointment and then was charged $100 for supposedly "cancelling" when I had not agreed to the appointment. I then contacted my bank to file a dispute against Love Couture. The owner, Sandy Ferreira Leone, then sent me an email a few days later in quotes: "I'm sorry you had a change of heart and canceled your appointment with us. Since the cancellation it was outside the approved cancellation window, our system charged your card $100. I am happy to refund you the $100 but I would need you to cancel the dispute no later than March 15th. Please send me proof of the canceled dispute in order to receive the refund, directly from us. If you do not cancel the dispute, I will have no choice other than to send the credit card company proof that you did agree to our cancellation terms and we were within our rights. Please let me know if you would like me to send you the terms that you agreed to when you booked." The bank clearly said there are ONLY two options (which is very reasonable to protect the customers) to cancel the dispute, per Sandy's request: "1. Respond to the dispute that I (the customer) would be refunded the $100 from the merchant and the case will be closed OR 2. Refund the $100 and the charge will be reversed back to Love Couture and case will be closed from there" Sandy then responds and says "The only options on my end are to dispute the charge back, which I explained I am with in my rights to do so, or give into the dispute which I can't do because it will affect my business standing. Please let me know how you want to proceed" and "I am requiring that you cancel the dispute, in order to receive a refund. If I have to challenge the dispute, I will win because I am within my rights. Challenging the dispute requires time and attention on my end, and at that point, I will not offer you the refund that is being offered now." I clearly gave the TWO instructions above from the bank to Sandy and for some shady reason Sandy does not want to do EITHER very simple, yet straightforward options provided so I am the middle man between the bank and the business. Sandy does not want to make her business look bad but in fact because of this shady experience, I would not recommend Love Couture to anyone especially after having gone this horrible experience. read more

I had such a wonderful experience working with Lauren at Love Couture! The salon is beautiful and comfortable, and made every part of my experience feel special. Lauren genuinely feels like a friend, and I never felt like she was just trying to make a sale. Instead I feel like she genuinely wanted me to have the gown of my dreams! I highly recommend visiting this salon and asking for Lauren. As much as I wanted to love this salon, I just cannot recommend it to other brides. This is long but important if you care about the details and overall experience. Having visited several shops, Love Couture is just not as personable at customer service and in making you feel seen, heard, and special. Every step along the way, I encountered problems and disappointment. I have to say that dresses were pulled double and triple my budget. Know that most dresses I saw were 5K+. First, my measurements were entirely inaccurate. There is absolutely no way my dress would have fit if it had not taken it upon myself to just double check for the fun of it. (Like 24 inch waist- when I am a 28 inch waist kind of big deal). When I came back in to get re-measured, since this would have been a "no dress for my wedding" kind of issue, other personnel apologized, which I appreciated, but it just felt like they didn't feel the gravity of it with sincerity. Fast forward to a few days after my estimated ship date, I inquired if I could get an update on when the dress would be shipped (coming from over seas). (The shop states they will let you know when the dress arrives, but I wanted to be proactive, again). I got a reply that they sent an email to the designer to get an update. Then, curiously, a couple hours later, my dress had arrived! It seems like there was some kind of break down in processing orders and my dress was there the whole time...so when would I have gotten notification from them had I not inquired? Its possible the dress had arrived that day, but I am just not confident in that. So, now I go to try on my dress. I made the appointment for the next day after getting notice it arrived and received several appointment notices. I walk in and no one seems in good spirits or excited to attend to me. It is my first time seeing my wedding dress! I am excited but that is just not the vibe in the store. There was some confusion and they said they had my appointment down as 6pm. Whatever. I get in my dress... I get in my dress and the cup sizes are way too big. Probably a C cup when I am an A cup. I inquire why it was made this way and why I wasn't informed that the cup size would be structured into the dress...I was given a strange answer that the designer essentially puts cup sizes in commensurate with your waist and hip measurements. This doesn't make sense. Breast size is not proportional to any other body measurement. Contemplating these types of details are the stylists' job- to inform me of things I may not know about because I am not a bridal expert. Now, while it is workable with some padding, it is not ideal, and, its untimely not reflecting my true body shape. All this said, I feel the entire time I have had to be my own advocate. I do love my dress, but it hasn't been the pleasant experience it should have been. Because of my experience, I have decided to go elsewhere for alterations and give my money to an establishment where I feel more positive energy. I absolutely recommend this bridal shop! I believe typical budget is starting from mid $3000s up to $4000s/$5000s. An employee named Lauren helped me and she was an absolute angel who was very patient with me, listened to my needs/wants, and made sure to stick with our budget. She also seemed genuinely interested in my love story with my fiancee which was very sweet. I am not sure about the other employees but I recommend Lauren!! Thank you, India!! I will add they are a higher end store but the sample closet has a great selection and some were in my price range ($1500-2500). Pros: You can try on a lot of dresses in your 90-minute appointment. I tried on around 20. The store is pretty and feels upscale. The dressing room they assigned me was large. My appointment started on time. Cons: Super pushy sales lady named Candi. She expects you to buy something and looks down on you if you don't with her "I don't know what to tell you" bs when you're straight forward about how you feel towards the selections. You're basically getting a lecture the whole time when you say you aren't into something. At one point she even said "you can buy this dress and be done," and I'm like, yeah I don't want to be done yet. This is literally the first place I visit. It wasn't a nice experience from the start due to the overly straight forward business mindset of their sales people. I knew before I had tried on a single dress that I wouldn't be buying anything just from their sheer attitude. Buying a wedding dress is an investment and you want it to be a lovely experience. This was not! They need more training on being patient with people and not taking it personal if you need more time to think about it. It's not just any old dress. It's a once in a lifetime garment. They have the designers from their website, but not a lot of their dresses. I came in thinking I would try some on from my wish list, but they didn't have any. I would recommend calling to ask ahead of time. 90% of their stock they haveis sleeveless and I was looking for some arm and chest coverage. This isn't a place for people who wear a size beyond 12. I am usually around a 6-8 and couldn't get into some dresses past my hips. The Lazaro dresses run small. Here are some other boutiques that I visited that were amazing and I recommend you try them instead: 1. Carine's Bridal Atelier. I found my dress here. Their boutique is stunning and they carry high end designers, such as Oscar De La Renta, Carolina Herrera, and Sareh Nouri. 2. Lovely Bride. They have really excellent boho dresses and great professional consultants. If you're looking for something special and different, you'll love this place. 3. Garnish Boutique. They have an excellent selection of Haley Paige dresses and professional consultants. They also have really nice hair pieces and jewelry. All of the places I mentioned above were SO much better than Love Couture by a lot. I almost bought something from Lovely Bride and Garnish, but Carine's was absolutely perfect. read more

So far, my experience with Love Couture has been absolutely fantastic. Exceptional designer collection at various mid- to high-tier price points. Really knowledgable and talented stylists with great patience. The long appointment times give you the time to truly determine what's going to work best without being rushed. I worked with Taylor, who I cannot say enough lovely things about. She never put me in a dress that was over my budget, and she really listened to what I was looking for. We found a dress that I loved "if only it had..." (we've all been there, right?). Taylor was able to Facetime with the designer during my appointment to collaborate on possible customizations to the dress which she ensured remained within my budget. + I have a close friend who has also purchased her gown from here. After trying on dresses and discussing what she wanted, they actually ordered a sample of a style they thought would be exactly what she was looking for. She came back to try it on when it came in and it ended up being the one. I share this because I think this illustrates how much they want to help you find the dress that's right for you. I am really grateful to the team. They have been incredibly communicative, given me many assurances not to stress even though I'm in a bit of rushed timeline, and I have a full understanding of the full process (from purchase through alternations to final pick up). Before you go: do your homework before your appointment. Share what you like, what's typically flattering on you, what you THINK you might like, and what you definitely don't like. Provide as much detail as possible to set your stylist up for success. They have *MANY* styles in their stockroom in the back, which you cannot see browsing the racks as a customer. She obviously has a great system for winnowing down your look, even when you don't know what you're going for. The set up is very elegant and fun. Their dress prices truly range from under $1000 to over $5000, but she really respects your budget limits. I'd have to say overall, the style is larger dresses over sleeker dresses. However, they range from very simple and elegant to funky and fun. The way it works: you first walk around their small but beautiful space and pick out some contenders. Then, based on how the first picks go, she goes into the back vault and picks out some other potentially good picks. There's a true science here! I had the absolute best wedding dress shopping experience at Love Couture Bridal. All the associates at the shop were so warm and helpful. Prior to my appointment, I had a ton of help from Ronicka who stayed in contact with me and even ordered in a couple of Anne Barge dresses I liked that weren't available in the salon so I could try them on for my appointment. Lauren was my bridal stylist for my appointment and she was absolutely amazing! She made the experience so special. She let us know that LCB is not a stuffy salon and encouraged my group and I to walk around the store to take a look at the dresses to see if there were any additional ones I would like to try on. Lauren not only encouraged me and made me feel great in each and every dress I tried on, but really took the time to learn about me and my goals for the wedding, and gave me so many wonderful tips. Once I picked out my dream dress, Lauren asked me the big question and then popped open a bottle of sparkling wine for us to celebrate. We didn't finish so she even corked it back up for us to take home and enjoy. I also must mention, that my appointment was on the same day as a snowstorm, and the salon did a wonderful job messaging me to let me know if they were going to stay open that day and give me options to reschedule if necessary. read more

I bought a dress from here and they do not respond to you with any documents or appointments. I've verbally verified my email several times and they said they have sent it but it's not in my spam or main email. I've voiced this multiple times and yet they still would not offer a different form of communication. When I called in July, they said my dress will be here on October 31st. Come October, I had to call about when my dress came in. Prior, I have not gotten anything - text, phone call, email saying my dress came in September. I've had to call them for questions and appointments, they won't communicate other than their automated email system which didn't register my email. If there's no response and my deadline is coming up for alterations, why would you just let it sit there and not communicate with the bride? They just let my dress sit there for almost 2 months without following up. Don't go here, they're rude and their dresses are overpriced. If you're not spending more than 15K on a dress, they'll treat you like shit. read more

My fiancé and I got engaged in November and I had absolutely no idea what kind of dress I wanted. I went to probably 5 stores in the DC area (lovely bride, global bridal, elegance by Roya, etc.) but hadn't found anything that I loved. A friend recommended Love Couture so I made an appointment and went. Chloe was our bridal consultant and I was quickly drawn to her positive and easy-going personality. We had met a number of bridal consultants at other stores and many of them were annoying and very opinionated, however, Chloe was very different. I explained what I liked and she pulled a number of selections. I would say don't stress if a dress that you're interested in isn't showing on the racks in the main show room. They have a number of other dresses in the back that they can pull based on what you like! I ended up finding my dress and of course I had to go look at about 10 other places before finally purchasing it. Chloe was so patient with me throughout the whole process and welcomed me back. I ended up buying the dress today and I'm so excited for it. Aside from the fantastic customer service the shop itself is absolutely gorgeous. They provide champagne once I said yes to the dress, and the owner, Sandy, greeted me and was so kind. love couture was the only bridal store i even went to for my ~bridal journey~. i live in DC and there were surprisingly very few bridal boutiques with designers i was interested in (neta dover, marchesa, rivini, hayley paige) so i booked an appt with love couture and hoped for the best. india was amazing -- we arrived late to my initial 90 min appt due to DC traffic, but she fit in so many dresses that i didn't need the extra half-hour. the selection is pretty small but very well-curated, and i knew that i was going to find my dress there. i narrowed it down to 2 during that initial appt and they scheduled me in for a second appt the next week to choose the dress, which was a really special moment. they were always very accommodating and the experience felt personal. another huge pro was the in-house alterations -- i have several friends who had to schedule alterations elsewhere, but celeste at love couture made my dress truly fit like a glove (and was so good my mom brought in her mother of the bride dress for her to alter as well!). love couture made the trek from dc worth it every time. i hope i don't get married again lol but if i do, i'll be back! read more

I went to Love Couture to try on an Ann Barge dress during a trunk show. To the store's credit, they were very communicative in confirming they had the dress I inquired about. I had been to 3 other shops before going there, and had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. I ended up not liking the dress I went in for, but told Taylor, the bridal consultant, what I envisioned and I pulled a couple of dresses as well. The dresses Taylor brought out were very different than what I described which would have been fine, but almost all of them were twice my budget. My friends and I found a dress that was similar to another dress I liked, and I was really excited about it. It was missing a price tag so for the bulk of the appointment I didn't know how much it cost. Up until then, Taylor was friendly and engaging, and the appointment was going great. When it became clear that I wasn't going to purchase a dress while in the store however, things took a turn. I understand that COVID has affected many business's bottom line and that they may be pushing sales a bit harder than usual, but COVID has also affected the way brides shop. My mom had to FaceTime in from California and none of my bridesmaids are in the DMV area, so I brought other friends. I wanted to talk it over with my mom afterwards, as it ended up being a bit more than I budgeted, and I wanted to see how the dress photographed and show my bridesmaids. I told Taylor this, and she acted like I was being completely unreasonable. Her entire demeanor changed to the point where she stormed away and barely said a word the remainder of the appointment. I left feeling embarrassed and upset that I had to justify and defend my decision to hold off on a dress I wasn't 100% sold on yet. It's unfortunate, because in looking at photos and talking it through with my mom and bridal party we all loved it, but the experience quite frankly soured the dress for me. I made an appointment for a trunk show of a designer I knew I wanted to wear on my big day (Hayley Paige). When my mom, sister and I arrived (a few minutes late due to an accident on the highway, which the team was SO sweet and understanding about!), we were greeted by Sandy, the owner, and Sarah, my consultant. Both were so warm and friendly and made us even more excited about the dress shopping experience. Love Couture has an amazing selection of dresses! I knew I wanted a Hayley Paige and they had so many for me to try on, including several I had seen online and was dying to try on in store. Sarah helped me decide which I wanted to try on and encouraged me to try different styles (which was very helpful since it was my first time shopping!). Even though we were there early on a Sunday afternoon, it didn't feel overcrowded and we appreciated the privacy you don't get at other stores. Sarah was an amazing consultant, so encouraging and felt like you were working with a good friend. I really appreciated her enthusiasm and knowledge! In the end, I was able to purchase my dream dress that day and we were treated to champagne to celebrate the occasion! I am so thankful Love Couture was our first (and only!) shop. I am oddly-shaped and as short as an oompa loompa so buying clothes is my least favorite thing in the world. I have been dreading going bridal dress shopping since I got engaged over a year ago. I was ready to just say the hell with it and grab something from David's Bridal (which by the way had awesome customer service and a surprisingly beautiful selection) since according to wedding magazines I was supposed to buy my dress two months ago, when I randomly met a girl at a networking event who suggested that I stop by Love Couture Bridal. I made an appointment, walked in a bum and walked out feeling like a bride for the first time. What an experience! My bridal consultant, Francoise was a beautiful French lady with an eye for design. My entourage of adoring fans were seated in a private room on a big white couch with lots of mirrors while I was led around the store to choose a few dresses from their display. I was then led to a private room where she tucked me in and got me all gussied up before the door would open and the girls would preen over me. As I mentioned, I am not a fashion forward bride so finding a bridal gown was not very important on my list. I had tried on a few beautiful gowns at another store with a lesser price point so I was under the illusion that you were only paying for the designer label at stores like this. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. All of the dresses I tried on were beautifully constructed and had a ton more "bones" than other bridal boutiques. If you are an odd-shaped girl like myself these small details can be life changing. Before you try on dresses, you are asked to check off the price points you are interested in. None of the gowns they will bring you will go over that price point which can save a bride from the heartache of unrequited love later on. - I came in with a pretty specific vision in mind, since I had already tried on a few dresses beforehand. Francoise listed very intently to what I wanted and was able to make suggestions on how I could alter a dress to look a certain way, what would look good and what would not. The dress that I fell in love with is something that she choose last minute from the back and then paired with a special accessory to help me achieve the look I was going for. I would have NEVER chosen this on my own yet she was able to make it happen. This woman is magic! I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. However, I do have a few pieces of constructive criticism for the store itself: *Accept American Express, when you are a bride all of those extra points matter! *Allow your customers to take photos. This is the way the new generation communicates and functions and helps with the decision making process. Not allowing photos is a very antiquated notion. read more

My consultant, India, was amazingly helpful and she truly helped me find the perfect dress. I cannot express enough great things about her and my rating does not reflect all the hard work that she did. However, my rating reflects the other extremely snobby consultant who walked into the room at the end of my appointment. She was so kind and complementary until I said that I wasn't going to purchase the dress that day because it was my first day going dress shopping and I still had other appointments at other bridal shops that I had scheduled. Her demeanor immediately changed and she snapped at me that the dress I was trying on was a loaner and it wouldn't be at the salon after the weekend (the exact reason why it is important to take a lot of pictures, but shouldn't be a reason to impulsively purchase a dress for the most important day of your life). She rolled her eyes and left the room without saying anything after I stated my objections. The first thing everyone in my party said as soon as we left the boutique was how shocked we were at the audacity and tackiness of the consultant. I knew I would not be purchasing my dress at this boutique after our lovely visit turned so awkward and uncomfortable in the matter of minutes. If the second consultant had not walked in the room, I definitely would have returned to purchase the dress from India. I purchased my wedding gown and veil from Love Couture Bridal. I worked with Francois and she and all other staff members I dealt with were professional, accommodating and friendly. I knew I fell in love with my ultimate wedding dress the moment I tried it on but initially I had some hesitations because Love Couture was only the second salon I visited, the dress was a little over my ideal budget and I knew I needed dress design alterations (lining the bodice and reducing the front V neck plunge). Francois never made me feel pressured to purchase my dress on the spot. After visiting two other bridal salons I knew for certain I wanted to purchase the Lazaro gown I'd seen at Love Couture. The dress arrived on time. The alterations were completed in a timely fashion for a flat fee agreed to at the first dress fitting. All around a smooth process with no surprises. The only minor thing I wish the bridal salon allowed was pictures. The salon has a policy of no pictures in the dress until you buy it. I was not one of the brides who was interested in bringing a whole gang with me to try on multiple dresses. Having said that the opinion of my family matters and I would have loved to have been able to show them all the sample dress on me. No regrets about purchasing from this this store and would recommend that any bride looking for a dress at least visit this shop by appointment. Taylor sat with me to discuss my style preferences, timeline, and budget. She pulled several dresses in my preferred style and a couple outside my comfort zone. I was looking forward to checking this place out since their website stresses customer overall experience is their primary differentiator (e.g., 90 minute appointments to take your time, designers). During my appointment I was pressured so so much to buy a dress I didnt love. I felt like the consultant spent the time convincing me why I should like the dresses I tried on. When I let my consultant know I wasnt planning on purchasing anything that day (mom would be visiting another time to buy together) she lost interest in taking the time to find the one and rushed through the few I selected. I made it clear I wasnt loving any of the selections I initially made so the consultant just ended my appointment with 30 minutes remaining. I was disappointed she didnt make any suggestions or use the time to help me navigate the process more. The website also advertises great designers but I found the store actually carries a super small fraction of whats portrayed on the website. Good marketing, beautiful store but lacking in all other categories. Save your time and skip this one. Prices were substantially higher then others in DMV for very average dresses. read more

A fabulous shop with fabulous consultants! They have a large selection of designer gowns and I would recommend this shop for any bride looking for an amazing bridal experience in this area. I came here last month to purchase my wedding dress with my mother and maid of honor. We were greeted by a friendly team at the front desk, and were escorted to a private dressing area with a soft robe and space for my guests to feel comfortable. My consultant, Perri, closely listened to the types of dresses I wanted to try on and chose amazing gowns that fit my wedding vision. After trying on several gowns, she was able quickly identify the gown that I eventually said said yes to! I was unsure about whether to say yes at first because I made an I didn't want to pay a fee for cancelling my other appointments that day. After I told Perri this, the shop able to cover the fees for me. That was all I needed to feel 1000 times better to stop shopping and to say yes to the dress I love. Afterward, I took a photo with their "I said Yes" sign and we popped a bottle of champagne that I got to take home with me. I can honestly say that all 6 dresses Linda put me in at Love Couture were in my top 10 of the 50+ dresses I tried on. I fell in love with two but wanted to keep looking. I went Jeanette's in Manasas, Ellie's and Hannelores in old town, Bobby's in Fairfax, Demetrios in Tyson's and davids bridal in Rockville. I ended up choosing a beautiful beaded ball gown from LC that was very reasonable in cost compared to other stores and way better looking! I have so many wonderful things to say about this shop! First of all, the dresses are gorgeous and there is a fantastic selection of dresses. They were also incredibly accommodating to my party as we had a large party and easily made us feel comfortable and welcome. They have champagne to add to this experience which is fun. Also, our consultant was AMAZING. she picked up on my style immediately, was low pressure with the dresses, so friendly and stylish. I really trusted her opinion and never felt like she was just trying to make a sale. Finally, they have been so easy and good to work with post purchase. I live out of state and they have been helpful in sending my dress, really great at communicating the arrival of my dress, and helped with my many questions along the way. Beautiful dresses and fantastic consultants. I don't know what else you could want! Our consultant was Francoise and I can't say enough wonderful things about her!!!! read more

PROS: the salon is beautifully appointed and well lit. The bridal consultant was very good with my sister in law and was on point with the dresses she chose that respected both her style and price range CONS: Frosty reception by the other staff members. We (the guests of the bride) received no offer of refreshment, were barely acknowledged and were stared up and down like we were rare sea creatures. The area where the salon is located is pretty 'vanilla' so this may explain why they all seemed put off by the presence of 4 black girls with Caribbean accents, but it was definitely a let down to be treated with such scant regard. Update: When my dress came in it was not ordered correctly. I had to take it to a seamstress and pay an extra $700 for alternations. (Not the bride) But this was the third dress shop of our day, a few weeks ago. We were all pretty worn down from going around D.C. looking at dresses. The bride to be was feeling really unsure after finding a few other dresses that she liked and didn't know how to pick one. We arrived at Love Couture and had no idea this would be the winning place. We ended up working with a really great girl. I can't remember her name, but a very sweet, thin, blonde. She was by far the best, in comparison to the previous shops we had been to. She ended up pulling a dress the bride did not choose and it was the one that she ended up picking. She made the process so fun and easy. We ended up finding the bridesmaid dresses there as well. Such a sigh of relief. I know the bride to be was so happy with her choice. *Although the experience was great, I would say that the "staging" experience was lacking. They don't have an awesome setup for seeing the dresses on with your group without everyone else's group being a part too. I think a more private experience would have been better. read more

This review is much later than intended, but... My experience at Love Couture was much more than I anticipated. I had an appointment on Sept 2, 2017 with Parri. From the very beginning, it was clear that she was genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect dress. Upon entering the salon, Parri greeted me with a warm handshake and a smile. She handed me a questionnaire to complete before meeting my "entourage". We were all offered water and champagne, and then we commenced to finding my dress. She was very attentive to me, but also just enough to my crew. Parri asked questions, but not as a formality. She asked to understand my style and vision, to help assess flattering options for my body type, and most important--to keep my budget in mind. I never felt pressured to look at or try on anything. When I told her I didn't like something, she asked why...not because she wanted to change my mind, but as a guide in helping her select other options. The salon itself was really nice...lots of good lighting, mirrors, and plenty of dresses. If felt very clean, modern and feminine. My fitting room (which had a cute robe for me) was the perfect size. If you need shoes or accessories, this could really be your one-stop-shop. A couple of weeks after my purchase, I received a handwritten note from Parri. It made me feel like I absolutely made the right choice by selecting Love Couture. I'm so happy that I was paired with her. This is my first time ever at a bridal shop and I had a great first experience! Everyone was so friendly from the receptionist to the bridal consultant. I saw an advertisement that Love Couture was having a sample sale so I decided to stop by. They had so many dresses to choose from. I had the pleasure of working with Francois, and she was great. Very helpful and patient with me as I had no idea what I was looking for. I ended up trying on about seven dresses and I was able to narrow it down to three. I really wanted to go to get a feel for what kinda of dress I actually wanted and I ended up saying yes to the first dress I tried on! I have had nothing but positive experiences at Love Couture. Francoise was extremely patient and helpful in helping me select my wedding gown and continues to assist me as we get closer to the wedding. The other staff is always friendly and accommodating, the store is clean and they have a beautiful selection of dresses. I know some people hvae complained that you can't shop for bridesmaid dresses there unless you purchased your gown from them but I totally understand why. There are only a limited number of dressing rooms and they have to be reserved for brides trying on the store's dresses. Otherwise there would constantly be a barrage of people in the area where the bridesmaid dresses are and it would not only be cramped but would infringe upon the space where the brides look at potential gowns and get their gowns altered. Speaking of alterations, their in-house seamstress, Yolanda, is an absolute sweetheart and extremely thorough. I have only had 2/3 fittings so far but everything hsa been great and she has been amazing to work with. So far I've had nothing but good experiences and am excited to wear my beautiful gown in 3 weeks! read more

I was really worried about gown shopping, and planned on it taking up to 3 months. I've done bridal modeling for years, and was so scared I would not find a dress that didn't feel like I had worn it before. After a lack luster first try in Virginia, our group made the trek up to Potomac. We ended up beating traffic and we about 20-30 minutes early. We were a little worried about how we would be received but the minute we stepped in the door all worries vanished. We were greeted with smiles and the girls allowed us to browse before our appointment. We were offered refreshments and enjoyed some friendly chatting before my stylist came to greet us. Francoise was kind, asked direct questions like budget, style, venue etc, and allowed me to talk through my fears. She began by walking through the showroom with me and allowing me to point out features of the dresses that I liked. I am pretty picky so I think we only pulled one, not to mention we had seen some of the price tags when we browsed earlier so I felt for a minute that maybe they weren't sticking to the budget. Francoise showed us to the large beautiful space directly behind reception and my group was happy to find numerous, comfy chairs. I was put in the dressing room right next to them, and Francoise took a little more time to talk through styles, my love of some particular Hayley Paige designs, (why we chose this salon in the first place,) and show her some photos of the dresses I found after months of dress research online. There was a comfy chair for me to wait, as well as a pretty robe and I did not wait long for Francoise to return- she took about 10 minutes tops and returned with some beautiful gowns. Out of the 10 total dresses Francoise pulled, there was maybe only one that I did not immediately like. It sounds cliche, but I kind of felt like she was reading my mind. As we tried on each gown, she listened carefully to what I did and didn't like and I felt like we improved and got closer to my vision with each gown pulled. Francoise even offered to go to bat for me if we found one I liked that maybe my entourage didn't agree on. This did not happen however, as the third dress I tried on ended up being The One. I felt amazing as so as I was zipped in, Francoise puled the most beautiful sash to compliment it, and could tell my entourage felt the same. Not being one to shy away from playing dress up, I chalked it up as the best so far as Francoise pulled 5 more beautiful gowns. In the five minutes she was away, I could not pull my eyes away from the gown I had just tried on on the hanger. When Francoise returned it just hit me, and said to her "you know what? I don't think I need to try on anymore." I could not believe the words were coming out of my mouth because the new gowns were so gorgeous. Francoise put me back in The Dress and allowed me to try a different sash at my request. I again realized what an expert Francoise is when I put it on, because the sash did not compare and the first one she suggested was clearly made for that dress. We walked back out tried some veils and even the perfect off-shoulder lace bolero I had been after. After we had ourselves a little "Say YES to the Dress" moment, Francoise popped the champagne! My maid and matron of honor even found a bridesmaid dress we all loved, which since has received rave reviews from the rest of my large bridal party. Best of all, even with all of the beautiful accessories, Francoise made sure we stayed in budget! All I can say is thank you Francoise for giving me the bridal appointment of my dreams. I highly recommend Love Couture! This review is pretty long, but I meticulously poured over bride's reviews before choosing which shop to make an appointment at, so I hope I can help future brides too. I cannot stop looking at pictures of my dress and and still a little bit in shock that I found The One on the first day I tried.
