My dress experience was decent. I will say, it didn't feel like the "dream dress experience." You don't get champagne or a very luxury feeling. However, it's a nicer storefront and they have some great dress options. They have in house Seamtress - alterations on your dress is typically starting around $1,200 depending on what you change. I ordered one of their custom dresses that they created with a designer. I further customized my dress with adding a longer train to it and adding a slit. I will say I've seen variations of my dress online by other designers, but I think my quality dress appeared like it was better material. I felt like the customer service varied depending on who you got that day. Some people seemed more kind and tried their best to be accommodating and others seemed like they were just trying to be done for the day. I had around 3 fittings. I could bring 2 people with me each time. They have sample sales available and there's two locations for this company. Overall, if you want the dream dress experience this is not it. However, if you just want to buy your dress and you don't need all the extra bell and whistles (e.g champagne, back drops, private fittings) then this is a good choice. They packaged my dress, veil, and hair band nicely upon receiving everything and they provide a contract with most of the main details of your purchase. You have to pay for everything before you can take the dress (obviously). Overall, if I could do it all again I would probably go with another dress company. That's because I'm extra for the price I ended up paying in total which was around $7K I could've probably gone to a higher end bridal shop with more elevated experience. BUT they checked the boxes and accommodated most of my needs. read more

I came here looking for a specific dress and I was happy to see that their online inventory was accurate to what was in store. Gg was my stylist and she was so open and kind throughout the process of searching for the right dress. She really listened to what I liked and didn't like and helped me find the one! Wedding dress shopping was way more stressful than I thought it would be. This was my 4th store and so happy I came across it. The dress are gorgeous!!! I could have picked 2 because Gg was so good at helping me pick dresses to try on. They are also very reasonably priced for exceptional gowns. Elegance by Roya was the third bridal store I visited last spring, and I was nearly past the time where could get a custom dress. My salesperson was Zoe, and she understood I was there to pick a dress quickly, not moon around sipping champagne with an entourage. She got me in and out of a number of dresses before I narrowed it down (to the one with pockets, of course)! In visits after that, Shahin was the seamstress that did the alterations, and she was fun to work with and did a great job. One note: when your seamstress suggests you bring someone local to learn how to bustle your dress, do it! A video didn't suffice and the bustle fell down a couple times in the beginning of the reception! But that was my fault for not bringing someone with me. I went to Elegance by Roya thinking I won't be able to find anything since my wedding is coming up in 2 months and I didn't have time to order anything. But to my surprise they had many options and amazing staff. Sophie helped me initially, asked me detailed questions. I told her I'm very conservative and I am looking for something long sleeves and high neckline. The options she brought were exactly what I asked for. After I tried on the dresses, I picked my favorite. That is when Roya stepped in and provided additional options of what they could do to make it the dress of my dreams. I highly recommend this boutique, they not only have options for brides who have time to order their dresses, but they also have many options for brides who are in a rush. Ladies, if you want to enjoy the wedding dress experience, feel beautiful, and be taken seriously throughout the alterations process - AVOID THIS BUSINESS. If you want your dress to look professionally handled and reflect the price you paid for it on your wedding day - AVOID THIS BUSINESS. Please find the pictures of my dress, the night before my wedding, attached. Background I bought my dress here in August 2023 for a September 2024 wedding. The associate was kind, and the store is obviously beautiful. It wasn't until I put money down that the issues began. First and foremost, after paying for half the dress, I was told that alterations only occur Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. That meant that I had to take off work for every alteration appointment I had. Second, when I put the first payment down, I was told alterations started at $1,100 -$1,200. Upon arriving for my first fitting almost a year later, the starting price I was required to pay changed to $1,400. Next, moving into the alterations process, I had three requests: I wanted the dress to fit without my having to constantly pull it up; I wanted to attach the currently detached sleeves for my wedding ceremony; and I wanted to add detachable straps. All of these items were discussed with the sales associate before I bought the dress, and I was assured all of my requests could be met. At my first appointment, I told the seamstress about all of the above, to include the slight insecurity related to the sleeves. Despite this, the seamstress told me it looked fine. In fact, "bulkier women fit into the sleeves" just fine. Because the dress was too large, the seamstress also decided the dress needed to be brought up. The only way to do that was by bringing it up in the waist. This created a large bulge around my stomach, but I was assured it would lay flat after alterations and pressing. The straps, I was told, would be handled later. At my second appointment, despite maintaining weight, I needed to hold the dress up myself. Additionally, I brought in examples that I thought would fix how I felt about the sleeves. I was told the sleeves were fine as is. I was also told there was nothing to be done. She also forgot I asked for detachable straps to be added. This too prompted the response of, "you don't need them, the dress is fine as is." Due to my experience during this fitting, I felt compelled to email the store laying out my concerns. I requested a conversation with the manager of the store. Instead, my email was forwarded to my seamstress. However, I was assured everything would be done to my liking. At my third fitting, I brought a bridesmaid and her aunt who had experience in being a seamstress. The bodice finally fit without my holding it. Yet, the sleeves were still unattached, the straps still not done, bulge around my waist still present. As with all my other appointments, I received the same, extensive pushback, to do anything I had been asking for for months. Thankfully, with an audience there, she agreed to move forward with all the work. At the fourth and final fitting, the large the bulge around the waist was still there. The straps were asymmetrical. I wasn't allowed to try on the sleeves because they were STILL unattached. The seamstress requested time to allow her to finish the required work. 40 minutes later, she rushed out of the back, quickly unzipped the bag for me to see only the top of the dress and hurriedly sent me on my way. I broke down again, fully exhausted and completely demoralized with how the dress turned out. When I finally was able to look at my dress thoroughly, I was appalled. It had several black marks, pearls falling off, loose strings all over and, and several places of snagged fabric. Day of my wedding, the bulge was still present, the bustle broke within the first hour, pearls continued to fall off, and the straps didn't even snap in which required the help of my bridesmaids to superglue and sew them on. I could write an essay on how difficult this wedding gown store was to deal with after they sold and altered an Anne Barge gown that fell apart as soon as my daughter started walking around at her reception. The strapless bodice buckled on the sides and slipped down all night, creating embarrassing and uncomfortable bust exposure. The bustle buttons broke and had to be pinned repeatedly with ugly safety pins, so the bottom of the gown got filthy. The back zipper ripped from the seam when the dress was taken off. It only zippered properly at the beginning of the day with the bride's skin extensively taped down, which the Zoya seamstress told us at the final fitting two weeks before the wedding was the best they could do. The bride didn't gain or lose weight between purchase and wedding day, leading me to believe the salesperson ordered the wrong size originally and that the seamstress wasn't capable enough to fix. Both of them constantly assured us that the back of the gown would fit properly. When I sought refund of the $1,300 dollar alteration cost, and provided photos of the damage and the bride wearing the damaged gown, Zoya insisted that the bride bring the gown back to them for an "investigation." I said they could arrange to pick it up because she wasn't going to drag a giant, trashed wedding gown on the several forms of public transportation required to get from her city home to their shop after the disappointment she'd been through. I live out of state or I'd bring it if I could. They refused to budge. So, please don't use Elegance by Zoya. Their alterations and customer service are far from elegant. read more

Highly recommend Elegance by Roya!! My soon to be husband and I are planning a wedding in 6 weeks, this includes finding a dress and finishing all the alterations within that timeframe (and my dress needed quite a few alterations). From the moment I stepped in to the store for my consultation, the consultant Crystal understood my vision and picked a great selection for me to try on; so good that I had trouble picking one. My experience was enhanced even further after picking my dress and starting the alteration process with Shaheen. Throughout, Shaheen gave me much needed guidance, listening carefully to my needs and making sure they were met, while still maintaining the essence of the dress. The attention to detail and impeccable technique shines through immediately, and I'm very grateful to have Shaheen's expertise throughout this journey. I've had two fittings so far and already the dress is what I had envisioned and much more!!! **side note for all the brides looking for a modest dress- don't disregard this place!! TL;DR - I write this review because my fiancée (now wife) and by extension me had such a horrible experience with this company, it is my hope that other future brides might take it more seriously when they see this review because it is a guy taking the time to write it. In short, this company made my wife cry at each dress alteration, tried to talk her out of modifications that would have helped with her insecurities, failed to deliver on the modifications that were ultimately agreed upon, and delivered a stained wedding dress that fell apart during the wedding.   Specifically, their short comings were as follows:           First, my wife had three fittings with them. Following each fitting, she came home crying because of how she was treated. In particular, the seamstress told her that "bulkier woman than her" had worn the dress (not that it matters but she 5'6" 130lbs). It was so bad that we had to send a formal email requesting to speak with a manager about it. Rather than doing so, the email was simply forwarded to the seamstress who essentially said my wife wasn't that bulky, and we were assured that everything would be done as we wanted. Ultimately, my wife brought one of her bridesmaids, and her aunt who is amateur seamstress, to provide support and push back because the experience was so bad. While the seamstress she was working with agreed to perform the modifications, she failed to deliver in even this task.         Second, the straps they agreed to add to the dress were asymmetrical         Third, on the day of the wedding, these same straps wouldn't even snap together. I/my wife's bridesmaid were gluing/sewing the straps to the dress themselves.         Fourth, the part of the dress that holds up the dress (I think it's called a bustle) broke and we had to safety pin it to the dress.         Fifth, the pearls on the dress started falling off before the wedding even started.         Sixth, the seamstress for this company, as a result of a modification, bunched up a lot of fabric around by wife's stomach. Despite my wife requesting that this be removed at the two subsequent fittings, they failed to do so. Now, whenever she looks at our wedding pictures she comments on the bulge around her waist.         Seventh, the wedding dress came stained: for reasons beyond understanding and without explanation, there were black marks on the wedding dress upon receipt.         Eighth, she had requested additional fabric be saved so that her veil could match her wedding dress. Despite purchasing it over a year before our wedding, they were unable to deliver because there wasn't enough time.   Finally, it's worth noting that this was the experience we went through after spending approximately $7,000.00 there. The wedding whole process was easy and enjoyable! It felt very intimate and the right up from the scheduling to the actual fitting was so stress free. There were so many dresses and brands that I could choose in but it definitely helped that I had an idea of what I wanted to look like and what flattered my body frame. Saddia and the team definitely gave the best pointers and we're so supportive of my decisions. The boutique itself was so modern and beautiful and all the ladies were very supportive. I went with my daughter to look at dresses. My daughter showed the saleswoman photos of what style she was looking for and nothing that she brought out was even close. We felt very rushed and our saleswoman acted like she couldn't be bothered. Unfortunately we were late to our appointment because of a bad traffic accident. When we called to explain the person that answered the phone said it was ok, but we didn't get our full appointment time. What makes it even worse is that they charge you for an appointment, rush you and don't listen to you. She told us if we wanted to come back it would be an additional fee. Aggressive sales tactics and contracts, no champagne allowed to toast, only interested in your money... I would not recommend this business to anyone. the sales tactics used were VERY aggressive. That was only my second shop i ever went into and you played my emotions and kept asking if i was saying yes to the dress... THEN you all sold my sample dress when I went to go try it on again for a reservation I made weeks in advance and didn't tell me until AN HOUR before hand (i had bridesmaids coming from out of town to join so that was completely unprofessional) and then when my mom was upset cause I was upset and demanded you get another dress to the store, you had the audacity to use that as part of your ploy to deescalte the fact that I had an allergic reaction to the dress.... I had a rash from that sample and you never even worked with me on a return. You said it was because i tried a different sample... what? It's the same dress! Also no champagne so they clearly are not interested in the brides experience... Horrible experience, wouldn't recommend your business to anyone. read more

After extensive internet research, I chose Elegance by Roya as my first bridal boutique stop (and it ended up being my only stop!). My consultant, Crystal, read my questionnaire, asked a few targeted questions and away we went... 5 dresses later and I had THE ONE! Crystal was so easy going, kind, and helpful. As a plus-size bride I was worried how I would look in sample sizes but I shouldn't have worried-- Crystal knew exactly what to show me, how to get me to "see" it in my size, etc. The boutique is intimate, clean, and comfortable. Very disappointing that they won't wave the $50 appt fee when I'm already going to the other location and paying the appointment fee there. They carry different designers in the two locations and basically force you to pay them $100 to try them on. I called and spoke to the manager and she said they can't wave it. It's policy.
