    Veggie Ramen with spicy miso
    Shweta S.

I have always noticed this place whenever I have come to TJ. There's plenty of parking. Their interiors are beautiful and super cute, it will take you to Japan! Their menu is fairly small. We ordered a Veggie Miso Ramen with extra spicy miso since usually places that's don't have a lot of vegetarian options don't do the broth quite well. But I was surprised to find their ramen very flavorful, the tofu was soft tofu coated with some batter and deep fried, which I really liked as it was different from the usual fried tofu. We also tried their fried rice which was okayish, not a lot of vegetables in there. And the portion size was really small. For $14 I would expect it to be entree size but it was just a side dish. Their spiced edamame are really yum!!! Ordering from the table using the tablet was very convenient!!!

The ramen was very delicious. Probably the best ramen I've had in my life; -so far. I was sad before coming in and after it made me happy and satisfied. I ate the pork steamed bun before the ramen as well and I was so satisfied with how soft the bread was. The pork was very tasty as well. Thank you for giving me a great meal. I had noodles at a different location that made me sad because it didn't taste good. The ambiance was nice as well. The music and environment gave me peace.

Look no further for a great ramen restaurant! This place is delicious! Service is wonderful. Ambiance is great - perfect for date night or dinner as a family!

I've driven by here a thousand times and never stopped to even look at this place. Came here for a quick bite before going to Trader Joe's. It's pretty good! I liked the regular tonkatsu ramen better than the spicy-- the spicy miso sauce is salty. I loved the chewy noodles! Chicken karaage was just okay; I wouldn't order again but my friend loved it. I thought it needed better breading. It's as if they chopped up the chicken and fried it with no batter. Service is fast. You order on the little monitor at the table. Ambiance is BEAUTIFUL! Just look at the photos other people uploaded. Soft dim lighting with tons of cherry blossom trees!

My new favorite Ramen place!! The owner was a chef in Japan and makes his own seasoning from scratch. I had the Chicken Shoyu Ramen and it didn't disappoint with right amount of meat and noodles.. so good. I've been here 5 separate occasions and also recommend the traditional ramen w/ pork and tea to wash it down.

Like the atmosphere and decor of this place. However, the classic ramen and spicy miso ramen were pretty bare bones so get ready to pay for add-ons like $2.50 for extra meat as the Classic came with one slice of pork and barely any toppings. Ordering via the kiosk at the table was convenient and with a server button which makes the experience efficient for the two people working but not a great dining experience.

Small cozy spot to dine in for ramen and sushi. But must try their chashu buns! It's great! Service was good.

We shop at the Trader Joe's next door all the time and didn't think of eating at this ramen place next door. We wanted to try a new place and were craving noodles so this was the spot. The interior was pretty. I would have never expected that it would be so pretty inside from the looks of the exterior. The service was really good. The servings were generous. My husband and my kids thoroughly enjoyed their tonkatsu ramen. We added 2x extra noodles and the serving was huge and enough for my husband and our two little ones. My son enjoyed the rich broth and kept asking for more. They also enjoyed the shrimp tempura appetizer. I had the spicy miso ramen and it was flavorful and spicy. It's not my favorite ramen in the area but I like the bite of the noodles in this one. I also loved their edamame with the garlic sauce. The sauce added jazz to something that would taste boring on its own and I finished the entire plate which was also plentiful.

Stopped here on our way to Centreville to a card shop while on the convention circuit in the DMV area. We have been to several ramen places in DC, and traveling down to a card shop in this neck of the woods - we stopped here. Interior and decor was very cool - from the wooden booths to decorations on the walls, and the cherry blossom trees on the middle of the space. We ordered drinks as well as some bao and takyoki for the table. Interesting note was how they serve the canned soda - in these stainless steel cups which reminded me of how they serve milkshakes at diners with presenting the excess milkshake in the cup they blend it. Anyway - bao was GREAT - pork wasn't tough or chewy which can happen very often in these places. For my entree I ordered the tonkotsu Moso ramen, adding an egg and garlic. This was very good and had the right ratio of noodles to meat to veg. Our waiter was very attentive and thanked us as wel left. Would recommend!

Was a rainy and bit chilly summer afternoon in NoVa which matched the hankering for some Ramen. Pass by this place a lot during trips to the Trader Joe's next door but never thought about trying it sooner. The place was super cute and cool inside. The booths looked cozy but we sat at a table under one of the cherry blossom trees. Service was friendly and efficient. And the food-my Ramen and app were yummy! Clean bowl club. Wish we had found this place sooner. Won't have to think twice where to go the next time I'm around the area and have Ramen cravings. Btw, they have bubble tea here as well. Keep it up!

Atmosphere was cozy and beautiful. Ramen was good but way too expensive. A big bowl of ramen and broth with an egg and two tiny slices of pork for $17.95. Sad because I would return but can't justify the price so I will probably go elsewhere.

I came to ARAKI Ramen & Bubble Tea on a Saturday evening with my husband and son. The parking lot is huge and shared with multiple retailers, including Trader Joes so it was a pretty packed parking lot on a Saturday. We did not make reservations ahead of time, but were still seated immediately upon arrival. The inside of the restaurant is decorated beautifully with Japanese styled decor and a large faux cherry blossom tree. We ordered the following: - Edamame - You really can't mess up this appetizer, it was a decent amount for $5. - Isobe - This dish has deep fried fish cakes with house made mayo sauce. It wasn't amazing and it wasn't terrible, I probably wouldn't order this again because it wasn't too flavorful. You mostly taste the dough, not the fish cake. - Chicken Karaage Don - This comes with fried chicken with spicy mayo eel sauce with green onions and pickled radishes served over rice. The chicken was perfectly cooked to a nice crisp. The green onions lumped on top tasted great with each bite of chicken and rice. The sauce was good, drizzled on somewhat heavily... so I'd suggest scooping some to the side so that the chicken does not get soggy. - Shrimp Katsu Don - This comes with panko coated fried shrimp, sweet seaweed salad, pickled radishes with teriyaki sauce served over rice. The shrimp was fried to perfection and tasted great with the teriyaki sauce. The sweet seaweed salad was good, but I think the green onions would have tasted better with this dish. - Mango Snow - This smoothie was very refreshing and the perfect end to my meal. Overall, the staff were friendly and attentive checking on us throughout our meal to see if we needed anything else. We came around 5pm so it was not super packed inside. It was a nice, relaxed atmosphere and very family friendly. I would definitely come back and would recommend this spot :)

We love coming here for ramen. The workers don't seem to speak much English, but it helps that the menu is limited. The ramen here is DIVINE and the flavors are wonderful. The ambiance of this restaurant is a 10/10. There's beautiful giant cherry trees in the center of the restaurant and everything is beautifully decorated. I've taken friends and family here several times already and will be back again.

The sushi was actually pretty affordable and decent in size--so refreshing to see since most places charge $18 & up for specialty roles. If that wasn't the icing on the cake, the service was just above & beyond... waitress constantly checked up on us and even struck a lil convo. Witnessing her water the plants from the distance we could really tell she cared about the restaurant (could be the owner tbh). Service, young women with amazing smiles make my dinner so enjoyable. Finally food, The first impression was pretty good, but food wasn't their strong point. I've been visiting the Nova area to find a good Japanese restaurant, but this one is lower than average to be honest. Sushi rice was undercooked and hard, which kills good quality sushi. In my opinion, this is the most crucial aspect for Japanese restaurants. The arrangement was okay, but they knew how to prepare the fish, but the quality was not good. We all experience inflation and shrinkage, but you should choose quality seafood. For about $30 per dish and fish, I'd rather go to a sushi buffet near me that costs $27 per person. I might give it another shot and see how it goes.

There's plenty of free parking in the lot in the complex near the restaurant. You can make reservations if you'd like, but the place was relatively empty when we went. There's not much seating inside, so I wouldn't recommend going in a group larger than 4 people. The service was okay, it took a while for the dishes to come out and for us to get water. We also let the waiter know that we have a vegetarian in the group and he let us know he was pescatarian and gave us his recommendations. We ordered the miso mushroom udon pasta, which came with fish flakes on top. We asked for it to be re-made without fish flakes and he apologized. In terms of the food overall, the portions were small for the price. The tofu curry came with 4 pieces of fried tofu and a small portion of rice and curry. It was also kinda bland, but was fixed with sauces on the side. There was a good amount of vegetables in the curry though. The pork tonkatsu appetizer and cucumber salad did taste flavorful and were crispy, would recommend. They paired well with the sauces that came on the side as well. The mushroom miso udon was different. The sauce was creamy and umami but needed some spice. Overall, the food isn't really conducive to vegetarians, but the ambiance and vibe are nice for a happy hour.
