Hello Yelp community - so here you see how Aquos treats it's customers. Response from Harold - Owner-
Harold T.'s comment on your review:
Raymond S. AKA "Charles" We have completed your project, exceeded our contractual obligations, and your abuse of our employees and family has been unacceptable. Accusing us of "CAUSING YOUR DOGS TO HAVE P.T.S.D?" Some people ........I hope the best for you, and your dogs.
SENT PRIVATE MESSAGE - NO RESPONSE Hi Raymond? Please provide your contact info, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your project, but I can not match your name to our customer list? We have never left any projects uncompleted, and we provide and excede all the work specified in our construction agreements. Respectfully, Harold
We have posted pictures of "completed" project, and Harold claims Aquos exceeded contractual obligations - so replacing pillars/pillar tops done improperly the first time with standard concrete collar when our contract states sandstone is exceeding obligations. poor craftsmanship on repair/replacement is exceeding obligations. OWNER OF AQUOS - HAROLD's WORDS HERE IN WRITING FOLKS. NO ONE HAS EVEN COME OUT TO INSPECT THE PROBLEMS....HOW WOULD THEY KNOW....
Now we want to get into issue around our dogs. We clearly stated at the beginning of the project that we have 3 dogs, 2 golden retrievers (1 a puppy less than 3 months old) but more importantly a very protective rottweiler, this was clearly identified at the start of the project for the protection of myself (liability if she attacked a worker in the yard) and to protect Aquos employees, as they have a tendency to come to work on your project un-announced, so yes it was important to identify this issue (I CAN EVEN SHOW YOU OUR POOL PLANS THAT STATE IN BIG RED LETTERS, OWNERS HAVE DOGS. I never claimed that my dog(s) have PTSD, I stated to Shawn when his workers entered my property without notification to us to clean all the gunite spray left on all our exterior windows across our yard, that having his employees washing my windows with us not home to properly put our rottweiler away where she doesn't think someone is trying to get into windows (see Aquos had to send out concrete company because on our brand new home we had a very thick residue (gunite spray) that could not be removed - funny they put paper up to protect my wood fence, but not the back of my house...), probably not the best idea, not to mention the damage she did to our brand new plantation shutters trying to get at workers aggressively scrubbing off material on all windows and sliding glass door to our backyard) - SO PET OWNERS, AQUOS NOT PET FRIENDLY COMPANY- AGAIN ANOTHER WARNING FOR YOU WHEN CONSIDERING A POOL CONTRACTOR, PROJECT TAKES 2-3 MONTHS...and yes Harold, that activity is probably going to cause a protection oriented Rottweiler some aggrevation..
Now on the issue of threats, I never threatened your employees, i did make phone calls to corporate concerned and slightly aggrevated when during our gunite spray the city of Brentwood shut down our job site 65% of the way into the project because of the mess your crew created in our street and the fact they didnt place down drainage bags to the drains which could have caused fines from fish and game, and since none of the workers that day spoke english and could not address the concerns of City of Brentwood, so yes i was quite worried when i called your office to report what was going on. I did threaten to take action (lawsuit) to protect our interest due to the problems and lack of fixes, yes I did threaten that.
Let's talk about your brother Steve, Harold, who came to our home to go over for the 3rd or 4th time the issues already reported and documented to Cliff and others, who stood in the middle of my street screaming at my 5ft, 110lb wife and told her to f-off and we were on our own (common response from Aquos when a problem arises apparently) and then peeled out and raced down a residential street in a company truck. Here is a man over 6 feet tall and well over 225lbs screaming at my little wife.
And Finally the threat you made to me on our final day to complete the interior of the pool, since we had waited since initial days of the project for Aquos to fix issues they promised and had not, I stated to Ashley that I would be withholding the final payment due on day of interior pour until items not fixed would be addressed and fixed. YOU held me hostage saying if you didnt get check, you would postpone my interior (around July 2nd) until August would be next time your crew would be able to get to fix problems (because 4th of July weekend) and other projects. other yelp reviews have also stated this tactic by Aquos, so we were forced to make payment to get pool completed and now 8 months later nothing fixed and i have no leverage.
Hope this helps future "customers" understand what your getting when you "partner" with Aquos Pools on a huge investment.... read more
