Had our pool installed by Aquos approximately 2 years ago. We recently had some issues with the programming of our equipment after we had solar put in by another company. Contacted Aquos if they could take a look at our pool settings even though it wasn't under warranty nor was it on them to fix programming error by another company but as always they came through with great customer service and had someone call me immediately and also had someone come out to our home the next day to check on the settings for us. Would definitely recommend this company for pool installation as they are reliable and have the greatest customer service for current and PAST customers. read more

We recently had Aquos Pools build our pool and could not be more happy with the outcome! We had a great experience with Greg designing our pool and helping us make our ideas come to life. We knew when we started that it might take at least 10 weeks from start to finish due to it being the summertime and it is usually busier during those months for companies and also the hot weather can put work on hold. From the day they broke ground till we were filling our pool with water it was 6 weeks! Everyone we worked with was professional and polite and if there were any issues( which there will be when building a pool) they addressed them right away and quickly fixed the issue. We could not be more happy with our experience and final outcome of our pool and would highly recommend using Aquos Pools. read more

We got our pool completed in August 2017. Joni was our point person and Sean has been integral with this review. From the start, we looked at 5-6 different pool companies. All except for Aquos felt like we were engaged in buying a car. In August of 2016 we had a similar experience and was turned off to the idea of purchasing a pool. Now I get it, people have to make a living and the salesmen probably gets a commission or is trying to get the most money for their company. However, if your on a tight budget or don't want to feel like your getting ripped off, that approach does not work. Furthermore, when you have friends that got theirs done at a seemingly way cheaper price, it's hard to swallow paying 15k more when you seemingly are asking for the same pool. Back to Aquos. From the beginning they were able to work with us on budget, design, and time frame. The customer service is good and the price was reasonable. When the crew came out and began building, they too were very nice and reasonable. Now the building process went smooth and on time. The reason for the 5 stars is this... I intentionally wanted to wait to do this as yelp is a good tool for this type of thing. After the pool was built, the responsiveness and customer service has been consistent. Literally on a Sunday, our power went out which caused our SMART controller to go wonky and Aquos was responsive to finding a solution which turned out to be something really simple. This has been my experience while our pool was being built and after. There were a few speed bumps but after thinking about it I had to ask myself am I being reasonable or is this something I need to press the issue on. When I did press the issue, Aquos was really accommodating and pleasant. Thank you Aquos for your continued great customer service! read more

Our family just went on our first swim! We are so excited about our decision to put a pool in. This pool will bring our family joy for many years to come. Our designer Joni listened to our ideas and together we came up with a beautiful design. The staff has been friendly and informative. I am in the construction industry so I understand when there are bumps in the road. Shawn and his father Harold were available and fixed the few things that came up with no worries. Our pool was completed on time and as promised. I am happy we invested in a quality builder that is also family owned and operated. I would highly recommend this company based on quality, workmanship and character. read more

You will not be disappointed choosing this company to build your family a pool. We were very impressed with their knowledge and technology. We got multiple quotes and nothing compared to the products and technology that this company offered. We had a awesome summer swimming in our new pool. Frank was amazing explaining the equipment and it was easy! We also loved that we were hiring a family company and not just a franchise. You can tell they care about their customers. read more

So far so good. They just started the dig and everyone at Aquos has been very accommodating and professional. We changed our minds about the location and size of the pool and Greg and Sean have been very attentive to gettimg everything exactly right. And they have gotten back to me even when I've called later in the evening. Putting in a pool is extremely stressful and everyone at Aquos has went beyond the call of duty to make this experience as stress free as possible. read more

I enjoyed working with Joni at Aquos Pool. She listened to me and my husbands questions and concerns, and we feet Aquos Pool would be a great company to go with for our pool. We love the design she came up with, and when the time is right, we look forward to working with Aquos Pool. read more

This is a top notch company. Harold and David are very thorough and detailed. They answered every question I threw at them and then some. Their designs are fantastic and they drew it up right on the spot in the first appointment. I highly recommend them. read more

Towards the end of a pool build with Aquos. I've had several pools built and have had many a quote over the years- Aquos is by far the best. First - Harold and Dave are the type of people you just get a good vibe from. They are personable, up front, honest and trustworthy. Second, the head man for my job - Greg- was absolutely a class act when it comes to customer service. He handled every minor detail, change, or issue I brought up and dealt with each to my complete satisfaction. If your going to have a pool built - I absolutely recommend Aquos!!!! read more

It has been three years since we had Aquos Pools come and installed our 43000 gallon pool. Not a problem to mention. The computer design for us at that time was spot on. The design center was not built yet. Everything was explained to us for the install. Maintenance on the equipment is a breeze as long as you take care of it. Our three dogs also love the pool. read more

After getting several quotes we knew we were done looking after we met Joni. She was very professional and gave us options we never even knew we had. From then on out the whole entire process went smoother then I could have ever imagined. Their prices are extremely reasonable and well worth every penny. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of my pool. I definitely recommend Aquos. read more

8/6/17 So they didn't come out Monday but made it Tuesday. The equipment crew was awesome. They went above and beyond to place the equipment and conduit exactly where I wanted it. I was extremely grateful for this because I didn't want it to run across my house which was their first suggestion. (Aquos employees) The interior was placed on 7/28/17 and it looked like they did a good job. This was done by Adams Pool Specialities. Very friendly and helpful. We have been brushing every day since 3-4 times as instructed. There are a lot of dark markings on the bottom which I asked Cliff about and he said it should go away but can be fixed if not. So I am hoping for the best outcome on this. Cliff came out 48 hours after the pool was filled and started the pump and added some chemicals. I'm supposed to have my orientation Tuesday. He was very nice and answered a lot of questions when he came out. Seemed very helpful and can't wait to get his instructions to maintain the pool. We haven't been able to swim yet but will wait to see what Cliff says on Tuesday. I updated my star rating due to the excellent work by these folks. Also Harold came by to look at my deck. He believes the work to be excellent...so we will have to agree to disagree. But overall besides the deck experience it hasn't been too bad. Greg and Ashley were awesome. I feel bad for Ashley being the middle man and having to relay bad news some times but she is always pleasant and professional and answers any question you have. Steve also stepped up and answered my million questions and concerns I had. If you decide to go with Aquos my recommendations would be to not make changes last minute. Or if you do to make sure you are there during every stage of the project to avoid errors the first time resulting in delays. Due to these my project took 11 weeks to complete fill. Also I suggest to ask for Buds Concrete vs Cecil for decking. If you do go with Cecil for decking I recommend you measure first yourself before signing any contract. Hopefully we can swim soon and if there are any problems with the interior it will be corrected in a timely manner. read more

Getting an inground pool is a very big decision. We looked into many pool builders before we decided on Aquos Pools. They are extremely professional and when they say they will be there, you can count on them. The process was very easy and quicker than we ever expected. I had heard nightmare stories from friends due to other companies having to hire out for every part of the building of the pool. This was not the case with Aquos. If they aren't related, they have worked with the person for many , many years. I have recommended this pool builder to anyone I come across looking for a pool. I often say that getting a pool was the best decision I made!! We are so happy with our pool. read more

I met with Harold who was very hands on and really worked with what we wanted for our pool. I love the design he came up for us and couldn't of imagined it better myself. He was incredibly insightful and gave us his professional opinion which I'm so glad we went with. Shawn and Steve were super helpful and were flexible for us. We love Ashley, who works in the office, because she kept in constant communication with us on the status of our pool so we were always in the know. Love that they are a family owned company that were very professional, and I will be recommending them to all our family and friends. We can't thank you guys enough for our pool and the memories that our family is already making. Here's to no longer dreading summers! read more

We had a pool put in with Aquos Pools and the result of their work is amazing! They were so easy to work with. When we had our initial meeting with them and explained to them what we wanted they were able to get our idea right away. They are not pushy or try to sell you more than what you want. I would like to give Aquos Pools a five star review, but because of the over charge of 176.5 sq.ft. of concrete at a cost of 1412.00 dollars. I contacted the owner Harold and explained my concern and he sent out a lady from his company to tack measurements. He now knows that I was overcharged and said he can do nothing about it until he gets all paperwork from the concrete company to see if there were any additional charges for partial loads or other charges. I don't see why that would make any difference as to what my refund of overcharging me would be when he charge me by the sq.ft. This was three weeks ago and I haven't heard back from him. I believe he is trying to come up with excuses on how he can add extra charges to deduct from what Aquos Pools OWES ME THE CUSTOMER. read more

Aquos Pools did a wonderful job! From the very beginning with Ryan, he made our decision easy and painless for my family. I had shopped around and was concerned from the different reviews I read. However, Aquos Pools had the best review and they lived up to their reputation. Ryan, Harold, Shawn, Sarah, and Jorge were all very supportive along the process. If I ever had any questions, Sarah was there expediently to respond to me no matter what time of day it was. The personalized service is key and due to it being family owned you can see the pride they take in ensuring their customers are 100% satisfied. This Spot has nothing to do with salt water per the guy I had to come open up the spot to repair the issue. The report he gave me and a bill for $465 was not good for the issue that I'm having now and in the future with my pool. Yes the outside spot was rusty and the inside spot behind is rust and black in color and much larger than the outside spot. Repair guy said that he most likely will need to drain the pool to fix my issue. Really not happy about having to spent a lot of money this soon of having my pool being build . And I recommended this company to my next door neighbor and he went with them...Sorry to say that I got the repair guy out on Thursday June 23 and they started digging my neighbors pool that Saturday June 25 but I did give my neighbor a copy of the report of his finds of how thin the plaster was to the gunite and how my pool condition looks to be the age of a 10+year old pool and not a 4yr old pool built in May 2012. PS my number has been the same for 17 yrs besides that I called enough from my home and cells 510 418 xxxx for you to reach me. I at least should have had a visit from one of the reps that outside my windows in my neighbors yard come take a look at what's going on with my pool because this is a structural issue and not caused by SALT WALTER...PER MY POOL SERVICE PROVIDER AND ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES THAT LOOKED AT PICTURES. read more

We met with 3 pool companies and we picked Ryan because he was knowledgeable and professional. He explained to us the whole process and answered all the questions we had. In fact, he provided a design of how we envisioned it and the finished product looks just like the 3D pictures (very impressive). Shawn, Jorge and the whole construction crew are courteous, reliable, professional and committed to making sure that our overall pool experience was enjoyable. They are fast and efficient and Sarah kept us informed of their progress all the time. They met the deadline sooner as they were promised and was just put in not even eight weeks. Harold is honest, responsive and really knows how to get the best value for your money. The concrete around our pool looks awesome. We are super thrilled and very pleased of the outcome. We would definitely use them again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for any of your backyard needs. Thank you Aquos pool for the outstanding job! It turned out to be better than we had expected. We had a great experience with Aquos Pool Company and proud to be a part of their family! THEY ARE THE BEST! MJILAGA Elk Grove June 2015 read more

WORK IS STILL PENDING, I will change this review when the work is done. I shopped around and selected Aquos Pools because of good yelp reviews despite higher price. They started on schedule but only showed up once per week or 10 days - not because of weather. I am not taking points off because they showed up 1 day per week but because of lack of communication. My backyard had open trenches, cracked concrete, dirt everywhere which I understand is part of the process - I am not taking points away for that either. For expense tracking purpose keep the following in mind (I am not sure if it happens with pool installs or not but certainly happened with us): We had to on our own redo our whole drainage system, sprinkler system, redo side fence that was removed for access, remove dirt, refill/close the trenches, lay over 2500 square foot of new sod in back and front yard (note: drainage, sprinklers, front and back lawn, and concrete were all in good shape and functional prior to our project). What I am taking points off for is: 1. Lack of communication - they showed up only once per week or 10 days which is ok if that is how they work, if I knew about it. I needed to coordinate our availability and at times wanted to be present for certain things but couldn't. The work crew is very friendly and courteous however, the admin crew at the front office are courteous on the phone but, don't do much, they don't communicate, they don't ever respond despite promising to personally take care of things or get back to you. They missed scheduling things causing unnecessary delays in inspections, subcontractors etc. 2. Solar coordination, they told me at signing they would coordinate it - never happened, they said to do it on my own, which again is ok because it was a 3rd party, they completely dropped the ball on it - again lack of communication - I let this slide and not taking points off. 3. Stone wall still unfinished and very ugly - the back of the pool wall has metal pieces coming out causing safety hazard and just looks bad. Not talking about grounding wire. There are metal pieces 3-4 inches and thin wires, chunks of cement peeled off causing holes, and chunks of cement stuck on the back of the stone wall. I know this area is not supposed to look pretty but, it should have a clean smooth finish and not have wires coming out of it with large broken patches of concrete ripped out or pointing out - At first I was told they would not fix it and its supposed to be like that but when I texted pictures to Steve - he said that looks really bad and he doesn't want his name on quality like that so he will have their subcontractor come out and fix it, that was 2 weeks ago - I don't even have an appointment or time frame on when that will happen. STILL WAITING). I WILL REPORT BACK ON THIS WHEN/IF REPAIR IS DONE. 4. Our pool has been done for over 3 weeks now, we still have no appointment for orientation. The pool is dirty from dirt blowing in, plants, bird droppings, flies etc but, cleaner has not been delivered yet so not sure how to clean it, we have not had orientation on how to use the filter, pump, we can't turn on the waterfall, pool lights are off, I was told the pool has light(s) but, nothing is turned on. When I text Shawn or Steve - they say the front office will take care of it then nothing. When I call the front office (Joey?, Sarah, Andrea, etc.) each one promises to find out and call me right back then disappear. The pool looks good but unfinished, I will provide pictures of both the good looking side and the not so good looking/unfinished side but, I want to give them a chance to fix the unfinished stuff, I know they don't want their name connected to that kind of quality like Steve said and I trust he will take care of the issue so I am keeping the bad pics out for now. They did good work when they showed up but they just didn't communicate and didn't show up for long stretches. Bottom-line, I spent over $37K just on the pool (that's a lot of money for me), have fully paid them on time - I realize they are busy but, my time is valuable and I am their customer - - THEY NEED TO RESPOND AND WRAP THINGS UP. If you're looking for a decent pool go with them but with a CAVEAT, don't expect much communication, don't expect things to be done on time and definitely do not trust what the people at the front desk tells you. BTW, I have read in the reviews about Joni and Harrold - I heard from Joni 1 time in the beginning and never from Harrold despite many attempts on. Nooria K. read more

We obtained quotes from other pool companies before finding Aquos. Those other companies had "slimy" salesman and didn't do much to earn our trust. Aquos earned our trust right from the start because they weren't interested in up-selling us on things we didn't need and got back to us when they said they would. A swimming pool isn't a cheap investment, so it's important to get the highest quality in materials, craftsmanship and service. We found that with Aquos every step of the way. Joni worked with us on the design and quoting process. She's very friendly, an excellent communicator, thorough, and took the time to really understand our vision. Once we signed the contract, Joni handled scheduling the pool construction from start to finish. Harold has wealth of knowledge on all things pool related and he's also a really nice guy. Did we mention Aquos is family owned and operated? It is and we're grateful for it. Harold's dad, Bob, owns the concrete company that pours the decking. Bob knows his stuff! He's been doing this for so long that there is no need to question any of his suggestions. We ended up hiring them to pour all of the new concrete in our backyard, not just the deck. Jorge was there from start to finish. He was the last person we dealt with and showed us how to use our equipment. Another very nice and knowledgeable person to work with! Our pool looks exactly like our design and we couldn't be happier! If you're serious about getting a swimming pool, don't bother looking anywhere else. Aquos has a construction system in place that works very well and they're very professional. They'll be there when they say they will and they don't leave a mess! Our next door neighbors were so impressed that they're in the designing stages with Joni right now. Aquos set the customer service bar VERY high. We wish every company was this easy to work with. We highly recommend them! read more

I had several quotes received to build my first pool. After reviewing the various designs from each vendor Aquos was selected due to there reviews and best concept. Shawn was my main contact and was great at keeping us informed of each step. They were very patient with the many questions and requests given them. We were able to make some changes during construction as well as changing some of the tiles we wanted. We were able to get the pool built close to the estimated schedule. The only issues we had were some minor cracking in the cement and a few little things but overall we are extremely happy. On a side note our neighbors decided to go with Premier about the same time and their pool is still under construction. read more

Aquos Pools - Aquos did an amazing pool, love swimming in it everyday. - Swimming Pools Near Me - Manteca, California

From the start everything went somewhat smoothly with Aqous. They returned our call in a timely manner, came out for an estimate and had things rolling in about a two week period right after the 4th of July. Right before the dig, the man who was in charge of digging the hole turned to me and said "after we are done you will never know we are here". Shouldn't have believed him. They cut our drip system, misplaced our drip system fence rain indicator (still haven't replaced), killed our plants and our fence hasn't been the same. And replacing/fixing the fence was in the contract, it is stated right on the plans. When installing the pumps and heater on the side yard....we specifically told them to not make them visable from the window of one of the rooms. They failed at that...because they outsourced the job and nobody was here to supervise. All and all the pool looks nice and seems to work fine....they ended up finishing the pool at the beginning of October which was a good time frame but it failed inspection from the city Brentwood two times because these guys did not have their stuff together....no coil spring on fence, no pool cover which they said they would provide and our safety fence was too short. One guy Sean came out and we told him exactly what we needed to be corrected and we never saw him again. Had to call multiple times to get someone back out here. Jorge was the most helpful and corrected most of our issues. On top of that we found a gas leak leading to our heater at the end of November. We called PG&E they fixed the issue and told us whomever ran the gas lines for the pool did a sloppy job on tighting everything thing up. Basically the pool didn't pass inspection until the end of January. Harrold and Steve are nice guys and the pool looks nice but basically they disappeared after the 1st month and half and we never saw them again and they never even saw the finished project . Was pretty disappointed in the whole process. Seems like the pool business is all about outsourcing and after the 1st month or two there was not much personal touch from Aqous. read more

Aquos Pools is genuinely the best company we have ever hired to do work on our homes. Being transplants from Michigan, we knew absolutely nothing about pools, but throughout the entire process Aquos was generous with their time and insight to teach us how pools are built and how they're maintained. Our first meeting was with Joanie, who listened to our design ideas and in less than a half hour, sitting at our kitchen table, had drawn up a perfect design. She gave us an immediate and reasonable quote and explained exactly what we would get with that quote. Sarah was frequently in contact from the office to schedule appointments. Shawn and Jorge shared construction supervisory duties. Shawn was available at all hours to communicate via text and phone, and his constant leadership made us feel confident that everything was being done the right way and on time. Jorge, a terrifically sweet and patient guy, was here at the end to walk us through everything we needed to know to maintain our pool. Jorge spent hours making sure the final product was working and clean. He even explained why particular parts of the construction were done the way they were because Aquos has constantly adapted to best practices over the decades they've been in business. The crews whom Aquos employs to excavate, rebar, plumb, wire, concrete, deck, and plaster the pool were professional, courteous, and some of the hardest working men I have ever seen. The finishing work was detailed and obviously completed with the utmost care. Aquos is a true family company. At various times, we worked with a dad, an uncle, a son, daughters.... At one point, Shawn said, "We're family now." That may be something another company will say, but Aquos means it. As reasonable as the cost was to have our pool built, the quality and that sense of family were just as important to us. We cannot recommend a company more strongly than Aquos. read more

His phone was always on whe we needed questions asked. Also, cant say enough about Sarah, always kept me informed about inspections, payments, etc. Lastly, Jorge was great, he came and spent a couple of hours teaching us how to maintain our pool. So after having our pool since September my wife and I now know the workings of our pool, but still had questions about chemical balance and our sweeper robot. I contacted Ashley and she said we could do a second pool school. Cliff came out and was at my house for about an hour. He was so great in taking time so my wife and I could take notes with what he was saying. He tested our pool water and added acid to help the pH. Also, he took the time to fix our sweeper since it wasn't working to its maximum potential. The greatest thing that Cliff did was walked us through how to clean our large pool filters and instead of just telling us he cleaned the filters for us and walked us through each step. Still impressed with this company 4 months later. Amazing!!! read more

We called a couple builders in the direct area and never heard back right away. After seeing almost nothing but great reviews about Aquos, we gave them a call. They called us back within the hour and were at our house the next day. There was no pressure or hard selling of any kind. After a couple meetings, we agreed on a price and were given a completion date of 3 months for a pool and spa. From beginning to end the entire process was pretty much stress-free. I work from home and watched the entire build. As with any major construction project, there will be hiccups. Aquos always took care of any mishaps and promised to deliver on the finished product. Our pool was completed and filled on time and on budget. There were no hidden fees or surprises. The pool came out exactly as planned. We couldn't be happier. Jorge came out about a week later to go over everything and answer any questions we had. Once the pool was clean and ready to use, he came out again to hook up the sweeper. First he spent 30 minutes vacuuming out all the dirt and debris. I was so please with this little extra effort to make our pool shine. If you are going to build a pool, you would be foolish to risk going with anyone other than Aquos. read more

Great Pool, Great customer service and a great eye for design! I was sure our yard was too small for a pool, but decide it would not hurt to get a professional opinion. As it turns out, Aquos Pools created the perfect pool for our small space. They were hands on, throughout the entire process. Their foreman Jorge , was/is topnotch and extremely patient. I knew nothing about the filters, pumps, pool maintenance etc, Jorge repeatedly walked me through the steps and still comes out to this day if I need help with cleaning a filter or changing a pump setting. The highlight of the pool experience is the Pentair UltraTemp heater they installed. It's an electric pool pump, versus a propane pump, which was unheard of in our propane dominant area. The pump is so efficient compared to propane models that our neighbor had his propane pool heater replaced with the same unit. We have saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars with this setup. Thank you Aquos for going the extra mile and finding me an energy efficient, affordable ;pool heating solution. We found Aquos to be honest and efficient and customer service oriented. There were no hidden costs. What we asked for and was promised up front was delivered. ...including a custom frog mosaic in the center of my pool! read more

I must say that Aquos Pools has surpassed my expectations by far. This family owned business has really shown me the quality of excellent customer service and I'm truly thankful I chose them to build a pool for my family and I. I cannot tell you how many calls I made to several companies to get bids, pricing and detailed information. When I called Aquos, Joni, came out to my home right away. She was so professional, very knowledgeable and I knew I could trust her the moment I met her. Here I am looking for a company to put a pool in my back yard that I have no experience with what so ever. This was a huge decision and commitment for me. Joni explained everything in such detail and answered all my questions, concerns and listed to my needs and wants for what I was envisioning. She was able to come up with a design right then and there at my home to give me a visual of what I was asking for. I was absolutely AMAZED!! She gave me ideas that I wouldn't have thought of and made recommendations. I knew that this company was the right choice for me and my family! From day one the service that I was provided was like nothing I had experienced with these other pool companies. I knew that Joni was passionate about her job, she always made time for me, answered all my questions and helped ease my concerns at all times. It's not often that you come across a company these days who live and work with integrity! Aquos is a company of quality and craftsmanship.
