TERRIBLE COMPANY. SCAM. Do not use them. They reel customers in with a special, but once they provide the service, you can't get a hold of anyone in customer service. Was told that my message was marked "urgent" to speak to a manager, and I called back a couple times, but to no prevail. It wasn't until 2 WEEKS after my initial call that I finally reached a woman in corporate who gave me an attitude. Servicemen was on FT with someone the whole time during the service. Our pest problems persisted even after 3 or 4 times of treatment they had. They dont spend more than 5-10 minutes in the property. Cancellation is a pain and they don't make it clear. I can't speak for their service, but their door-to-door sales person was aggressive and extremely unprofessional. This one looked like a Mormon who was too lazy to walk - he took a Segway the tiny distance between houses. He was extremely offended that I already had a pest control service, so apparently he operates like a religion. He then attempted to convert me by being very brash and judgmental about my chosen faith...uh...I mean pest control service. Looking at previous reviews, it's obvious the customer service has taken a nose dive in 2020. What a joke! The salesperson comes up on a Segway, and points to wasp nest in the eaves. He tells me this means there will be ants, spiders, and other bugs lurking in my house. The wasp nest has 3 cells in it, and appears to have been deserted months ago. I ask him for some literature or business card, and he tells me he doesn't have anything like that, and pulls out a tablet. That's just what I want to do; stand there and have him show me stuff on his 5 x 7 tablet! The whole premise just seemed odd. Aptive has totally ruined my lawn. In June 2021 I signed a contract with Aptive Environmental for treatment of my yard to eliminate mosquitoes using a "non-toxic" compound derived from chrysanthemums. The mosquito reduction was minimal if at all, but I had signed up for 6 treatments after the initial treatment. On 5/23/22 the yard was treated again. A few days after I noticed that some potted plants around the house had yellow and dying leaves. For the next scheduled treatment I called the general number to request a 30 minutes call ahead of arrival, and also that they avoid spraying plants. I also moved the potted plants away from the house perimeter. I did not receive a call prior to arrival. The next day, I noticed that I had swarms of mosquitoes near my deck - much more than usual. I called the general number and was told that someone would return to spray the deck area. Within a week of the application the grass on my entire lawn began to turn yellow in very large areas. Eventually the areas kept spreading and the grass completely died and turned straw-like. Also, some of the plants that were newly planted in the spring began to drop their leaves. The technician that came back took photos of the lawn and said that they damage was probably due to applying the wrong concentration of products. He also said that he would send the information to his manager. I received a text saying that the account was forwarded to AM (area manager ?) for review due to alert stating there was damage to the yard. I received no response . I sent several complaints by email to customersupport@goaptive.com. A Customer Loyalty Specialist, replied that they have reached out to management and that I should be hearing from the area manager asap. After several more emails I received no further communication. After contacting BBB and Montgomery County Consumer Protection Services, someone came to my house to take photos but still no further response. Aptive also replied to BBB saying that my complaint was resolved - which definitely is not resolved since they have done nothing to date. Very discouraging, unprofessional, and unethical. read more

Going door to door, dropping the names of neighbors who have switched, refusing to take no as an answer and refusing to get off of my property, is not only unprofessional but extremely inappropriate. I'm the President of my HOA. I received many complaints from residences regarding a door to door salesperson. Residence stated the salesperson asked for money when they did not want to do business. If we see this person again, the police will be called. There is a review on here about the salesperson saying the HOA sent them. This was the same line they used. These people are horrible to do business with. They said they were coming to our house at a specific time then showed up early and of coarse our gate was locked. They claimed they still sprayed our house when they didn't have access to the yard or house. Our neighbors told us they never sprayed the front. They charged my credit card without my permission I'm not even on the account my significant other is. They refuse to refund the money or cancel the service. We also started seeing strange black bugs we have never had once we started using this company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Buyer Beware! I do not usually leave these feed backs, however Aptive environmental is horrible! There exterminating service is a joke! There chemicals do not work I had treated my house myself the year before and had no problem with ants or spiders. a salesman I guess was doing cold calls and Stop bye while I was working outside and said they were in the area and they could treat my house for $135 what worked out to be every 45 days and they will take care of the midges and mosquitoes as well as your typical ants and spiders etc. etc. they would also clean the cobwebs off the corner of the house each time they visited which they did not other than the first time. I had ants in my house a couple times as well as the garage. So I would have to treat myself to get rid of them. I then we're getting text messages from them stating how was the service and I would respond I am getting ants still and they would come out and retreat which I believe they charged me for that, not 100% sure but I believe they did. The following month again I had ants in the house and when they text me to remind me of the following service I said I wanted to cancel their product does not work I get a response back saying I cannot cancel through text message I'd have to call in the office which is infuriating as I am a truck driver and very easy to call when I am working and I did not end up calling them to cancel at that time. they came out one more time and attempted to do service and I received a text message stating stating that they could not get into the yard that the gates were blocked. And which on one side of the yard I have my boat in front of it however you could walk through there on the other side I had a trailer in front of the gate but you could push a lawnmower through it so you could clearly get into the backyard to treat the yard this happened it three times every time I would get a text message from them saying they could not get in the yard I said that's fine I do not want your service especially if you're employee isn't too lazy to walk past a trailer. Oh and again I received a text message back saying you cannot cancel the service you have to call the office. I finally get around to calling the office to cancel service and the responses is ok you oh us $199 due to the discounted service at the beginning of the service which is the sales person never mentioned that I would be charged if I canceled the service because it did not work. I would never use this company. A rep showed up at my front door. He wasn't wearing a mask. When I explained that I was in a virtual meeting and this wasn't a good time, he proceeded to go into his sales spiel anyway. When I called the office to complain, the salesman who answered the phone (after being routed through the automated process) wasn't interested in hearing the bad impression his sales team had made on us, said he would transfer me to customer service, and then proceeded to stick me back in the automated answering service (which doesn't have a customer service option). I rarely provide comments either good or bad. I understand that sometime mistake happen. But in the case of Aptive Environmental it is a business practice. They did not perform their quarterly service. They did not send invoices and immediately sent us to collection. They claim they sent and called yet that was not the case. We even sent in the payment, but they were closed and we ended up in collection. Trying to exit the contract after a year had passed was nearly impossible. It is best to avoid them. Bad service and they try to hold you hostage with their contracts or force you to pay a hefty amount. Beware. read more

I was in a Panera in Shoreline and about 10 Aptive canvassers came in and moved around the resteraunt as a group not wearing masks and getting near me at my table and other customers. They had no regard for distancing and being in a resteraunt. The company should have better training. read more

Super unprofessional kept having scheduling issues. They never showed up on the day we agreed upon. Their sales rep made promises he couldn't keep and then stopped answering his phone all together. Tried calling customer service and they said they were not responsible for what their employee said. Horrible company.A sales person knocked on my door a month ago and was trying to sign me in the yearly contract,he was trying to convince me to go with them by telling me all kinds of lies and dropping the prices from $300 to $5 very unprofessional and pushy.I asked him to send me a list with prices and services they offer so I could compare with my existing pest control company.He asked my email address and we exchanged our phones and left.The same day after he left few hours later I texted him to let him know that I'm not interested.The next day I recieved and email from Aptive saying that they performed a service in my home and I have to update my payment method on my account????Wtf I never signed or gave permission to Aptive or sales person to sign me in also what's funny is that I checked my cameras front and back and no one serviced my home. Immediately I informed the sales person by texting him and he said im sorry was a mistake and he will let the company know. I've been getting emails again and today they send someone to service my house ??????I called more than 5 times the company and waited 20 minutes,no one picked the phone.THIS COMPANY IS A BIG SCAM.I will sue this company and I have all the proofs.BE ALERT check some screenshots of my conversation with the sales person and also I have all the videos recorded.WTF Aptive,the dont even pick up the phone after so many attempts. read more

In addition to all the problems stated below my major issue is that Aptive repeatedly gave no notice before coming to my home, when I had asked them several times for at least a few days notice. When you can't let kids/pets out within one hour you need notice. The latest, that caused me to cancel, is when the 'notice' came about an hour before the tech showed up and I never got the message because I was out. Someone else was watching my dog and could have let her out within the 1-hr window. Really unacceptable. read more

This service seems like a good idea until you realize that they give you virtually no notice and show up and do a less than thorough spraying. They renew services on your credit card and to get a refund or stop the service you have to get through a myriad of levels of "customer service" personnel and then they tell you they'll have to call you back after talking with "upper management". This is incredible. Oh, and I still got the occasional bug inside the house despite their efforts. Never again.. go Terminix or someone who actually does the work. read more

I signed up for the service but their service was horrible. These guys come and not sure what they do and they leave. I had bees building their nest in hundreds and send them neassage. Nothing happen. I had mice problem but they did not bothered about that as they only service outside. I wanted to cancel the service, called 3 times but ends up saying that no reps available after 60 to 90 minutes of wait. I had the service techs came and I told them I wanted to cancel the service but they keep coming at least 5 times. One of the worst pest control company I have seen. read more

This man showed up at our door one day and gave me $200 discount for the first treatment which is supposed to be $220ish to make a yearly contract which is $150ish every 3 months which now I think is what he actually wanted to sell. Because the very first (and only) treatment I had definitely ain't worth $220. This guy just followed me and sprayed some stuffs here and there where I see ants. No inspections or anything. And about a month later I still have ants in my house and I see tons of spiderwebs. Nothing has been changed whatsoever. I have no idea what I spent $20 for.
