I have worked in the field of customer service back when customer service was a real thing and when the lack thereof could make or break a company. I also worked with all manner of vendors/contractors; haven spent years in the field of Building Management. To say that my husband and I were more than satisfied with the service that we received from Raven Termite and Pest Control (stationed out of Baltimore and Silver Spring), and specifically from their technician Carl and the gentleman that fielded my initial call, would be an understatement. Carl's ability to listen well and rapidly identify the problem areas and engage me in a mutual course of action before he began his work was critical to meeting my needs. He was on time and expert at determining what needed exterminating and where. He patiently listened as I explained that I suffered from a severe case of year round allergies and consequently created a test area just to be certain that I did not smell or react to the odorless chemical. Most importantly, he made no attempt to over-sell the services and the pricing was more than fair. Since he could not possibly have known my background, I was particularly impressed, both with Raven Termite and Pest Control and with their expert technician, Carl, and, as a consequence, I asked if a wider treatment could be done in our home and that request was accommodated. The icing on the cake for me was when Carl, without me even having brought it up, described to me a particular area in my home that posed a danger of further affecting my ability to breathe. Now this particular area has been an extreme source of concern for me for the past two years and I have been quite vocal with my husband about it; being at my wits end as to how to remedy the situation. Carl goes on to offer some common sense approaches to improve the environment and my husband was so impressed with Carl's suggestions that he immediately implemented them when Carl left. I can't say enough good things about Raven from the front desk taking the call to the technician that worked with me Carlton. I was dealing with a mice issue and I have such a fear of mice - alive or dead. My appointment was scheduled quickly and a wonderful technician named Carlton and showed me the mice entries that I would have never imagined. Years ago I had Orkin come out - which I thought was a top company - stuff something in a hole, laid down some traps, and sprayed outside. But not really doing anything to prevent mice from coming back. The mouse was caught and I called to ask if someone could remove it and they said no I have to do it myself. I had to call someone else to get it. Back to Raven - all the problems I had with Orkin was the opposite of what I had with Raven. Carlton was very professional, knowledgeable, and understanding - seems very rare these days. Not only did he come back promptly on scheduled times, he was so kind to come to my home when it wasn't scheduled to pick up a dead mouse that was caught by his great plan. I'm grateful for that most of all. I haven't seen mice activity although I do see another hole that I missed when showing Carlton concerns. I've had a positive experience so far with Raven Pest Control. The first technician who came out seemed either newly trained or possibly in a bit of a rush, so the initial visit wasn't as thorough as I had hoped. However, when Troy followed up, the service completely turned around. He was extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable -- inspecting every area carefully, explaining what he was doing, and taking the time to answer all my questions. What really stood out was how much Troy cared about providing real value, not just a quick fix. He gave me helpful, easy-to-follow suggestions to prevent future pest issues and made sure I understood how to maintain results between visits. My pest situation is still being handled, but I already feel a big improvement and peace of mind knowing Troy is overseeing it. I'm giving 4 stars only because of the first visit, but overall, I've been very pleased with Raven Pest Control's follow-through and customer service. Amazing service. We had the birds for couple of years now. Thought they won't do any harm so we let them stayed there. But then they brought bugs which is really similar to bed bugs. We found out it might be from the birds. We called the company. They came the next day with someone who's is extremely professional meanwhile he's a firefighter (Carl). He told me how much harm could the birds bring. Not only the bugs but also potential fires since birds could bring in cigarette, and once the temperature is hot enough, it will caught on fire with the net. He took out the net, scared the birds and killed the bugs with some type of tear gas, sanitized the spot, and closed the vents with steel net. Not to mention he managed to finish the entire job with pouring rain. Overall the front office and the guy were really friendly and helpful. Price is very reasonable. Strongly recommended. I would say I would call them again if anything but I hope I don't.l lol. read more

"The technician Carlton aka "Carl" went over the contract and their services. He was very professional; he even allowed me to walk the perimeter of the house with him while answering my questions. He was very knowledgeable and patient. While he was working, he noticed that I had a carpenter bee nibbling away on my wood underneath the deck. He noticed it because the bee left shavings of wood as evidence in my shrubs. He went the extra mile and got under the deck and sprayed for them and removed a couple of hornet nest as well. Frelon gave me a call and gave me a considerable amount of time to meet him at my home during the original consultation. During that consultation, he immediately located "problem areas," and then informed me of the type of service I needed. He arrived on time of the date that I chose to have the service completed, did a phenomenal job and didn't take up a lot of time. I could not be any happier with my techinan, Carl . He was very friendly and professional. He came here to remove a wasp nest, and to my surprise he found a second nest. Carl was able to take care of the wasps and removed the nests so wasps would not return looking for their "home". He was also extremely considered and swept up after taking down the wasps.
