Although I couldn't remember who she worked with, I was fortunate to meet Cris Drake. I truly appreciated his professionalism throughout the process. He is personable with a no-pressure demeanor. I appreciated his honesty and noticed his consistency. He meant what he said and never changed the products' pricing. NO "bait and switch." He was patient as we went over payment options as well. In the end I was pleased with my purchases and couldn't wait for delivery! That process also went exceedingly well. I was notified when the delivery would take place. The men were on time, pleasant, efficient, and cleaned up after installation. Later the same day, Cris Drake called to see if everything was to my satisfaction. It was. It is. I am so happy to recommend Spencer's.

UPDATE: Spencer's read my reviews on Next Door and on Yelp. Late last week, they reached out. The…read moremanager from the 43rd Avenue and Peoria Avenue store came to my home on Friday, July 17, inspected the dishwasher, and the next day, July 18, a new KitchenAid dishwasher was installed. This has restored a great deal of faith and respect for the company, but I still have bittersweet feelings because it took more than 3-1/2 months for Spencer's to take accountability and do the right thing. After being a loyal customer for almost 35 years, I will shop at their store again, but with caution. My hope is Spencer's continues steping up and treats their loyal customers with the same loyalty and respect that is given to them. ******** I just want and need to give my neighbors a heads-up on the decline in trust and service from Spencer's Appliances. I've lived in my house for 30 years, so I have replaced a lot of appliances. All of my appliances were happily purchased at Spencer's. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher in early November 2025 and absolutely loved it until it stopped working in early April 2026. I called Spencer's, and they gave me a number to call to set up arrangements for the warranty repair. I had to make continuous calls to Spencer's and their repair service throughout a 3-month period (and SIX service calls). Yes, you read that right... THREE months to get a 5-month-old dishwasher repaired. It was finally fixed last week. It was a leaky gasket. A measly gasket that was missed in 4 of the 6 service calls. Spencer's had excuse after excuse for this taking so long, yet didn't stay in contact with progress reports or apologies. There have been two times in the past couple of years that I have defended Spencer's here on NextDoor when some of my neighbors complained about their service, and now I understand what my neighbors must have gone through, and I apologize for not listening to you more closely. I have three appliances that will soon be 10 years old, so I know they will need replacing soon (as we all know, they don't make them like they used to), but I'll tell you one thing, Spencer's Appliance will not get one more nickel from me. And if I can save someone from going through the stress they put me through these past THREE MONTHS, my job is done. BTW, I'm a senior on a very limited income, so the close to $1000 (when all was said and done) I spent on that dishwasher was not an easy purchase for me, but very arthritic hands make a dishwasher a necessity for me.

Absolutely recommend!!!! You don't find businesses like this anymore. Edwin was FANTASTIC!!!!…read moreWe've been having issues with our 20 year old Kitchen Aid built-in refrigerator for several months. The water dispenser and icemaker stopped working. My husband repairs everything in our home. He was an engineer. He's replaced parts, torn apart assemblies, poured through service sheets and the internet and has been unable to fix this issue. We were hesitant to call anyone, because we had a bad experience years ago, where another appliance repair group told us on the phone that it would be a $250 charge to come to our house to diagnose a problem on our washing machine, and then if they could fix it, the repair cost of parts and labor would probably be over $500, on top of that diagnosis fee. That was more than the washing machine originally cost. My husband got on the internet and figured out the issue and repaired it with a $20 part from Amazon in 30 minutes. My husband did not want to make a call for outside help, but I insisted. We needed professional assistance. After much research, we found Appliance Works, a family owned company that had fantastic reviews online. We called them to schedule an appointment to come out and diagnose the problem. The diagnosis service call was to cost $95, and it would be applied towards any repair costs. After our other experience, this sounded like a dream. The day of the appointment, the technician, Edwin, was right on time. He was sharp, knowledgeable, and professional. To make a long story short, he spent almost three hours working on our problem. He even got Brett, the owner, on the phone when he couldn't figure out the issue after 2 hours, and Brett was right there to support him in thinking through the possible issues. When is the last time you encountered a company whose owner gave that kind of support to his field personnel? We thought they were going to tell us that we owed more, but at the end, the bill was only $95. They gave us a quote for repairs and applied the $95 against that quote. We now have a working refrigerator again. This is an awesome company and they hire incredible people. The owner supports his people in a way that you just don't encounter in most businesses today. We can't say enough about them. Don't look any further; just call them if you need help with an appliance.

Went to schedule an appliance repair. Called and was told they need a card on file. Not a problem…read more That is pretty standard. However they said they needed to email me a form that I then had to print out, fill out and send back with my credit card info. I feel like this is pretty unprofessional and quite frankly a little shady feeling. With AI and scams out there this didn't feel right. Reviews can be fabricated on a website. So it just didn't feel right. A suggestion for your company being that it's 2026. Get this to work digitally. The next company I called sent me a text and I filled out the info on their system. A lot more secure and not as much of a hassle.

Other dealers wanted to sell me bigger side by sides or would charge to deliver and another change to take away the old appliance (Spencer's). They also wanted to sell me a separate (new) hook up for the water, another $15. Yanira had what I wanted and the price was right and did not charge for delivery or removal of old frig. Unfortunately, the frig that was delivered (after I had water line fixed in wall) would not work the ice maker. Yanira and Anna both arranged for a new ice maker to be installed (2nd trip). Still ice maker would not co-operate and refused to provide me with ice. Now the GOOD part comes, Not wanting to be out done, Yanira and Anna got me another 30" frig with ice maker. Keep it hooked up over two nights to make sure it would work and then at my convenience, delivered it (3rd trip) and had it installed. I heard yelled out from the backseat. "Ok, kid, let's stop in to get a bigger pot to move your plant into. I swear all I wanted was a new pot for our indoor plant, but when you're there you remember that 15 gallon planter that's been sitting empty on your front porch, the potting soil you'll need to fill the new pot to replace the old, and a plant to go into it. Sure, I looked confused and lost and that's probably what clued Gina in on asking if she can drive us around in her golf cart and show us (but mostly my kid) all the plants, the bunnies that have made the fruit bearing tree section of Moon Valley Nursery their home, the birds that flock to their trees and all the different plants you could really ever want both indoor and out. "Daaamn Gina..." (is what was replaying in my mind on a loop, but I not dared to say out loud - throwback to 1990's Martin Lawrence sitcom, Thursdays on Fox) Had I never met you Gina, I would have probably found my new pot and made my way home having only the *one thing to do, but no, you had to go answer *all of my hundred questions about what plant will be good on my porch, no I don't want to attract bees to my front door, maybe something that won't grow taller than the ceiling of my porch, so those cool looking fruitless olive bushes are out, but boy do I wish I could put one there. So yes, as you may have already surmised, I left with our new pot, a bag of potting soil, a rosemary plant (because rosemary is actually a detractor for most insects and you can get fresh rosemary for your meals to boot) as well as a jug of their moon juice fertilizer. So... It's crazy how expensive this new pot for the rubber plant was $140, but look at all this other "free" stuff that came with it, right?!?!?... right?!?!?... Please don't tell my accountant that I spent too much on plants again. Well Gina, you were certainly wonderfully helpful, you answered every question I had and a few others I didn't, you made our visit more like an adventure through the nursery and helped me finish two projects with one visit. Whomever at Moon Valley Nursery is responsible for having hired Gina, you made wonderful choice!
