I found shelves that slide through Google search because a sliding shelf for that size cabinet is not a standard size. (This was a new kitchen where I placed the cabinets under my seating area at my island. A slide out would make it easier for me since I put my kitchen aid mixer and a blender in there). The heavier use shelves I went with the upgraded ball bearing which was a great move by me. Probably would spend the extra few bucks and do the upgrade on all next time as they are smooth. I was really nervous when I ordered this thinking there was a 20% chance of the pull out drawer fitting, but I was wrong! It fit absolutely perfect!! Easy install. Follow their thorough instructions for measuring the cabinet space and it works like a charm! They figure what you need to account for the slide bar thickness etc, you don't have to worry about that. I had an inconvenience that I was able to solve with a product I purchased from "Shelves That Slide." My special needs granddaughter can walk but needs a wheelchair for longer distances, so my daughter stores the 50-pound chair in the back of her van. To load and unload, she removes the rear wheels, pushes the chair into the van, and blocks it in place. To make it easier I purchased a Newline Sliding Shelf from Shelves That Slide and mounted that on a plywood base to fit in the cargo area of her van. The wheelchair fit perfectly in the 23 ¾ x 22 Newline shelf but I did have to remove the front side of the shelf to roll the wheelchair on and off the shelf. This weakened the shelf which made it impractical for my intent. Steve, from Shelves That Slide contacted me immediately to confirm my order for a 23 ¾ shelf, because most kitchen cabinets only have a depth of 21 ¾. I sent pictures to Steve when I finished the first assembly, and he immediately recognized how I weakened the shelf, and he recommended a solution. Shelves That Slide has an Economy shelf made of 5/8-inch particle board which became the sliding base for the Newline shelf. The final assembly was the Economy Sliding Shelf with the tray of the Newline shelf secured on top. I added a wood block with pegs to secure the sliding shelf and wheelchair in the vehicle. Called these guys from a paper ad and had this work done years and years ago. The woman on the phone scheduled Travis for us. He was an hour and a half late, without notice and in and out of our house so quickly as if he couldn't be bothered to talk about anything. Just simply said "okay where do you want them". We didn't think much of it. Everyone has bad days. Once they got installed, we realized we made a horrible mistake by picking the lowest cost company over another bid that was slightly higher. Wood is really rough, and the shelves don't even come out all the way. I had to sand down the tops because my wife was getting splinters. You get what you pay for I guess. I bought a new home and wanted sliding shelves for the kitchen and bath. In new construction, the shelves in the bottom of all cabinets only come half way across in the top shelf. You loose half the space! With sliding shelves I gained double my storage space! I had gotten 2 estimates in the $4000 range and thought I would have to give up on the idea when I found Shelves That Slide. They have been in business for over 25 years, make their own product right here in Phoenix, and their price was very reasonable. They were able to make and install my shelves in less than 3 weeks compared to a few months! I absolutely love the finished product!! What an amazing company!!! One of the shelves on my 36" wide pantry came crashing down. I found this company online and emailed asking about a replacement. Within two hours the owner of the company responded. He asked for pictures and encouraged me to make the repair myself. He could have easily sold me a new shelf! Over the course of two days he told me the materials to purchase, how to make the repair and answered my questions when I got stuck. The pantry is better now than when it was new. In a time where customer service is not always good, Shelves That Slide made me realize that there are great companies out there that are really concerned with good honest service. I've ordered from both Slide-A-Shelf and Shelves That Slide, and I'm hoping my perspective will be helpful for others. First off, Shelves that Slide is the winner. If you're just looking for that answer, you can stop reading here. That said, let me break down my experiences. In both cases I was ordering online and planning to install these myself. Customer service: Individual experiences may vary, and I'm not trying to talk negatively about companies that are trying to do a good job, which I think both companies are. That said, Shelves That Slide (STS) made it easy to order from them. Slide-A-Shelf (SAS) has created a system that makes it less expensive and faster for the consumer if they order from either Home Depot or Amazon. I'd rather deal directly with a company if they're good. For both companies, I reached out with questions. With STS, I was impressed that Steve was prompt in his replies and seemed to know who I was. The only way I was able to get SAS on the phone was to leave a message and wait for them to call me back. Now, to be fair, Covid-19 probably means lots of companies are testing the limits of their customer service and manufacturing teams. Still, I have a strong impression that if I ran into the same issue with both companies, I'd be better supported by STS. Quality: My SAS shelves both had a gap on the front left side, but no issue on the right side. My STS were uniformly constructed with the same precision at each joint. The SAS shelves have a piece of wood in front, the STS shelves don't. While it might look nicer, it forces you to mount the shelf deeper, which means you lose just a little bit of length in how far out you can open the shelf. (The rails are the same length) The STS shelves are flat, the SAS shelves are lower in the front, raise slightly, and are higher in the back. It's a nominal difference, but you can tell them apart based on this. The STS shelves are less glossy, the SAS shelves seem to have more polyurethane on them. The STS and SAS materials and designs seem pretty similar. Based on some frustrations with the sizing and manufacturing quality of the SAS drawers, I haven't tried to install them, I'd like to return them. I am very happy with how straight forward the installation process of the STS drawers were, how well they work, and my wife and I have gone back and ordered what we need to finish putting them on each of the pantry cabinet shelves. I'm a big fan of Shelves That Slide, and if you're on the fence, order one or two, make sure you know what you need, and then order the rest once you've got the confidence in the measurements and installation. They're exactly what we were looking for, and I'm glad we ordered them. read more

This is the best company I have ever done business with and I have done lots of home improvement projects over the years including a whole house remodel. First of all, the voice that answers the phone in this company is a real person. Diana is super friendly and helpful! I ordered 5 slide out drawers for my kitchen pantry. I did not pay attention to their instructions for measurements. When the drawers arrived for installation, they were too narrow. I panicked and called Diana who transferred me to Josh. I told him honestly I made a mistake. He said he'd talk to the owner. When he called back, I was pleasantly shock that they would send me all new ones free with all postage paid both ways. I purchased shelves from the company online, received a total price which calculated shipping costs at zero. Based upon that information I made a purchase with the understanding that shipping was included in the price. I subsequently received a receipt from the company indicating that shipping was included. Two weeks later, I received a call from the company's customer service department telling me that I owed them $24 in shipping costs for the order. I explained that I had ordered online based upon the charges that they indicated on their website and receipt. I was told that "the system made an error" and they would not process my order unless or until I paid the extra charge. In my opinion, this is a bait and switch tactic that is unacceptable. If their "system has a problem" they should fix it and not upcharge their customers. read more

Highly recommended! I have now purchased/installed 16 shelves and I can say they are great. Really high build quality. Reasonably priced. Very easy to install. No need for the premium slides - the standard ones are sufficient. Glad I followed Steve's recommendation via our email exchange. I have them holding a fair amount of weight with no problems. You'll get the hang of the install after the first. Definitely use the double sided/rolled piece of tape on the mounts if you are bottom mounting. Makes it very easy. I could probably do easily without now but that was after installing a half dozen of them. These were packed extremely well with no chance of being damaged in shipment. Lots of packing to dispose of but better that than arriving damaged. Can't recommend highly enough. Don't hesitate to use this company. Great customer service. read more

I live in Sun City West, AZ. My wife and I had 2 other companies bid on shelves. One we didn't care for and the other wanted, I kid you not, $10,000 for 15 shelves. We then contacted Shelves that Slide. Wayne came out the very next day. He gave us an estimate $1,308.62. Same materials and slides as Mr 10k. He scheduled us 2 months out. The cost for shipping the shelves themselves was reasonable, but adding 4 small plastic spacers at $0.35 each increased the shipping another $12.00.
