This Applebee's survives simply due to the lack of good restaurants in the area. This place have bad service, specially the bartender last tonight. This was my first time at an Applebee's and I thought it was very good. I loved the food and the service was great.

We decided to have lunch at Applebee's for a change. We walk in no one's there to greet us there's two in our party and we had to wait 10 minutes with at least six tables open. I will say that our waiter saved us five dollars on the $20 menu. When you do the $20 menu you get a free appetizer we chose hours and we waited. We waited for appetizer it showed up after we got our meal. You could tell that the waiter was upset that he let that happen. Another positive was the food tasted great I had the Cedar barbecue lemon chicken and my wife had the Asian chicken hers had almost no dressing. read more

And no, I was not being the frigid snobby lady. I tried to give them a chance. But the service was terrible, it seemed as if everyone of the servers took a break except for a manager and drank alcohol and ate at the tables with their name tags still on. The manager even joined in on the fun instead of asking to refill my cup that had been empty throughout my whole meal, and it was an alcoholic drink! We came at lunchtime this past Saturday; our server was great, food was good and it arrived fast for our group of five. However, the hostess who greeted us literally with a scowl made us feel we were a nuisance. After being seated, even my stepdaughter asked if I noticed the look on her face when we walked in. I am here for work and have been here 4 times in the last 2 weeks and each time we have a problem with the service. It's not one particular server. Today was the worst. The service was horrible. Could not get the waiter to get us place settings and refills on drinks. They would not bus our plates after we were done eating. We ordered dessert and the guy that brought the plates out set them on the edge of the table so hat he would not have to remove the dirty plates. They don't seem to want to satisfy their customers unless they know you. I like Applebee's but the service will drive me away. Unfortunately for me in this town there's not much to chose from after 830 pm. Hopefully the corporate managers go in there and experience the poor service for themselves. read more

I ordered 3 items from the Carside to Go service. Never again. Of the three items, two were wrong. I ordered a Chicken Caeser Salad and received NO DRESSING! What is the point of a Caeser Salad with no Caeser dressing? Secondly, I ordered a Chicken Fajita Roll Up and asked for NO Pico de GAllo sauce. I'm alergic.Unfortunately, it came loaded with it! My other complaint is that I waited in the TO GO parking space for 10 minutes before a server came out with my order. Her excuse was that she didn't recognize the color of my car. My car is tan, I told them it was tan, and my receipt says tan. My car looks tan. She said my car appeared blue from inside the restaurant. Get this... I was the ONLY car parked in the carside service spaces. Do you think she could have come out to see if I was the only order that they apparently had? Ridiculous! This is one of the best Applebee's I have visited. The bartender was nice, and remembered what my husband and I ordered from a previous visit. The Perfect Margarita is perfect, and the draft beer is cold. I recommend the pretzels and the boneless hot wings and burgers. This is a clean restaurant with a good staff. read more

My husband & I visit Applebee's whenever we are in Ukiah. The servers are attentive, efficient & super courteous with just the right touch of friendliness. The only time I had anything close to a complaint, I told the server my food wasn't quite warm enough. I expected the plate would be warmed & returned. Not so. The absolute most horrible service I have ever had at a restaurant. Did not get seated for 15 minutes despite lots of open tabled and we had two tired toddlers with us. Waiter did not talk to us for another ten minutes or so. Asked him to bring French fries right away to occupy the kids. Had to ask three times during the very long wait for the food. I never think of Applebee's as a Restaurant (too corporate, so it reminds me of fastfood). Under ordinary circumstances I'd never go to one; but this was not my choice. Working the Fire's in both Ukia and Chico the CDF had contracted Applebees for meals and I was pleasantly surprised. It helps that we are always hungry by 2100 when we finally eat; but the food and servicce was good. I think this maybe an overlooked chain. If you're in a hurry, don't have the time to seek out someplace special and just want good food at fair prices this just might be your thing. Our ESL class tasted many dishes from Applebee's for our class. We recommend the buffalo wings, the Cajun shrimp pasta, the spinach artichoke dip, and the grilled chicken / Asian salad. We do not recommend the riblet basket. One of our classmates couldn't even tell what it was supposed to be. Plus, the fries did not look appetizing. This was the worst dining experience I think we have ever had! Long wait to be seated, long wait to be greated by server, long wait to order, LONG wait for food....our kids were seriously trying to lay down on booth seats to fall asleep...and then our food arrived cold! We had told our server it was our sons first birthday and we came for his birthday dinner. We asked server if we could sing...he told us to remind him later, he was busy. Pretty bad service... I went to have lunch with my sister, we ordered a chicken sandwich and pasta. Chinese chicken salad with cold rubbery chicken strips in a greasey, dirty bowl. We were 3 people and when I asked for bread, got 1 finger sized roll. Complained about the cold chicken and it was replaced but the microwave made the chicken inedible. This I paid over 10 bucks for. Will never go back and certainly not recommend it. We have come to this Applebee's several times. The last few times we have come, they are either having issues with the ac, or something going on with the kitchen. They are always out of something, weather it's the BBQ sauce, or shrimp, or something else. The service has been pretty good tho.... Just time to try some place different. read more

Have never liked this Applebee's but we received a gift card so we thought we would do the curbside to go, they where 15 minutes late getting our food to us, they forgot the fries and coleslaw and the food was cold. Yikes! Nothing like groups of homeless people with dogs greeting you at the door. After eating lunch here yesterday I must say "NOT!!" Lazy wait staff, no smiles or chit chat, just "What do you want?" And then not getting what we ordered. I had to call the waitress back several times to bring us what we actually ordered. The ice tea was just brown water, the burger was barely warm and the fries were so soggy I would be ashamed to be the manager or the owner. As someone who is an avid Applebees lover I am saddened to have to send this review. I was completely disappointed with my experience at this Applebees. My mother had always complained about this Applebees but I had thought it was just her. Unfortunately it was not after visiting them and being served A horrible meal and was told I was not going to be charged for it I've been noticed I was charged for it on my bill but given a free appetizers card instead. I came here with my boyfriend last Wednesday after a softball game. We were seated pretty quickly. That's the ONLY thing that happened quickly. After our waitress took our drink order and we looked at the menu we decided on 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The waitress brought back the drinks, forgetting the water. She mentions that she will be back with the water. She promptly forgets this, and serves two other tables water. I had to flag her down twice and ask her to refill the drinks. The appetizers came out and we ate them. The waitress came back to the table well after we were finished and asked if we wanted more chips with our spinach dip (which was gone.) We said no. At this point, three other tables that came in well after us have gotten their dinners. One has actually finished and LEFT ALREADY. The waitress took away the appetizer plates. We have now been at this establishment for an hour, and our entrees are nowhere to be seen. At this point two other tables are upset because one hasn't had their order taken after 20 minutes, and the other had some kind of issue with the food. Both tables requested the manager, and one left very angrily. The waitress ignores us for another 15 minutes. She finally comes back to the table, after we have been there for nearly an hour and a half and says that "the kitchen messed up on your wrap, and the tag got 'bumped' so they are starting your food now." I tell her that I want her to cancel the food, and bring us the check for the appetizers we have already eaten. This is not the first time the service in this establishment has been EXTREMELY SLOW. The waitress was also RUDE and inattentive. We live an hour and a half away, and could have been home in the time it took for us to NOT GET OUR FOOD. I ordered a steak medium, I'm not even sure it was cooked, the mojitos i ordered were mint flavored water. I'm telling you right now if you ever get to Ukiah and feel like going to Applebees, Head right across the street to Branches, better food, service, drinks, atmosphere. In fact one of the waiters from Applebees now works at Branches. If you're looking for something fast and cheap , run from Applebees and head straight to a McDonald's, or BK or KFC, or Taco Bell. basically anything is better than this place.
