Extremely friendly staff. Clean dining area. Burger and fries met all expectations. Food tasted good. But service was uncharacteristically slow. There were approximately six people behind the counter, a short drive-thru line by In-N-Out Burger standards, only me at the walk-up counter, and it took 12 minutes to produce my very simple order. Great half way point when heading out for camping up north from the Bay Area. It is about 2 hours out from the East Bay. Service was nice, surprisingly not too crowded even on the holiday Labor Day weekend. We stopped at the Ukiah Costco to gas up while in town and pickup supplies at the local Walmart. All pretty conveniently located somewhat close together. The burgers are always fresh and tried the well done fries this time. They are better than the original. read more

A typical stop on any road trip.. This is the only location for mailes, especially when traveling north to south. We actually saw a bunch of cars that we had previously seen on the freeway and passed, stop here also for a quick bite. We got out and stretched our legs. I ordered inside. Service was quick and efficient. I appreciated the staff member repeating my order back to me to make sure the order was correct. Line was short. Wait for food was about 8-10 minutes. Not bad by typical In-n-out standards. We got the #1 - double double combo and then an extra hamburger and a animal style fries. Got out of there for just a bit over twenty bucks. The double double combo is now $10.99, which was a bit surprising to me at first. I don't think any of the combos used to all be less than ten bucks. But inflation.... Anyways food was delish, as usual. I've never had a bad meal at an In-n-Out. The animal style fries are double the cost of regular fries, which seems a bit dumb for just onions, cheese and sauce. First time going to this location as we were driving through the state. We parked and went inside to order. Note that this was during the pandemic. Service was good, food was tasty and on point. Outdoor seating was plentiful and covered/shaded. I wish they had a sign on the freeway - we had passed the exit that was closer and THEN saw the In n Out sign from the free way. Ordered the classic double double animal style with the addition of chopped chilis (shout out Alvin Cailan and The Burger Show). The bun was nicely toasted and chewy, the beef patties had those desirable crispy bits, the burger sauce was tangy and creamy, and the gooey American cheese brought it all together, with the chilies providing some acidity and spice. Only wish Ukiah had a chick-fila ( politics aside ), fresh high quality food,treating and paying staff appropriately without a union is unusual in food service industry. White walls and uniforms for me are more about cleanliness than style -- closed kitchens conceal deviant behaviour worse than dirt - but heck its hot in there. The place has an old classic look and feel but modern. The menu was very simple. I think that was the idea behind it. I did like their mindset of sticking to simple and fast. Five stars. I'm from the East Coast and this was my first experience with In-N-Out. I thought the food was delicious! Very cheap too, even for fast food. The regular fries are $2 and a regular hamburger is $2.50. Although, I must admit Shake Shack is still #1 for me because the burger patty at In-N-Out is pretty small and the fries are more soft than crispy, but I would def still recommend for those looking to try it. read more
