Let me preface this by saying I'm a huge proponent of tipping. I've worked in the food and beverage industry for years. It's a thankless job. We came on Memorial Day and had Malisha as our server. She forgot numerous items and charged us extra for items we did not receive. Half the food was cold and during our visit she was talking with another customer from California, so instead of making a scene we left quietly. If the place was busy I could understand the lack of service. THERE WERE NO MORE THAN FIVE TABLES OCCUPIED. We do not recommend Malisha as a server. This is the lowest tip I've ever given in my LIFE. So many people are hating on this local Applebee's lol... Upon approaching the parking lot, I wasn't 100% sure if they were open or not. Then I remembered this is a casual Sunday night in Utah county. Hey, I'm all for it though, I was seated right away so what the heck do I care? I sat at the bar...it is an odd bar though. There isn't actually any alcohol or anything in there. My drink was made in the back hahah I ordered the Pot o' Gold. $5 for a piña colada with mango Captain Morgan is a helluva deal. Sign me up. I asked if I could get the salad from the gods, I mean the oriental chicken salad in a smaller portion. They blamed it on covid and said no, which was slightly annoying because I didn't want a huge salad but it's okay. I got the wrap instead and it came with fries. My order took what seemed like 8 years to come. My chin hair grew back in the time that it took them to bring my order out to me...But it is okay because they comped me for a free dessert without me even complaining about it. This is my first review ever...and this is the worst meal I've had here. Started off by noticing some green stains In my water glass that I could rub off with my finger. Ordered the usual spinach dip. And the chips were stale. I also Ordered fish and chips...the outside of the fish was super dark and oily. Dripping with oil when I pick up the fish from the plate. Ended up eating the fish with out the batter. Ive worked as a cook before and I can tell this oil has not been charged out in the fryer. Pretty gross!!! My wife ordered the shrimp wanton stir fry. There was no stir fry and everything on her plate looked separately cooked. Don't say stir fry and the rice is plain. white. rice. dry as hell. My advice - don't eat here. Unless you want disappointment. Or stay home and cook. Lol read more

I have been to this Applebees twice. The first time was nothing but divine. It all began with that server. He was majestic. Truly a testament of God's hand among us lowly mortals. He not only came to our need at the moment our glutes encountered the cushions of the booth we were led to, but he made us feel welcome. It was as if Applebees were his home and we his honored guests. He took our orders without a pad, repeating them back to us from memory. Then, returned with everything we ever wanted. Even in our asking for items not regularly offered, such as a bowl of caramel for the cheese bites, he delivered, covertly entering the kitchen, and smuggling the product to us. Through our time at the meal, he not was our server, but our advocate and dear friend. He memorized our names and entered our banter. He asked me how my family was and gave advice in my struggles. Truly, this server was a great man. And if I had remembered his name and gotten his number, I would ask him to be my best man. But alas, the sacred experience I had that night could not last. Upon our return to Applebees some weeks later, we did not find our beloved server, but some evil woman who treated us poorly and berated a friend for his gluten allergy. After arriving, we had to wait for multiple minutes before we were helped, despite there being few people at Applebees that night. Then, when receiving help, even with her pad, she made errors in our orders, giving me overly-sweet lemonade when I had asked for water. But the worst sin of all was that once we had received our food, she disappeared. We finished our drinks less than halfway through the meal, yet we were left parched in a famine of this waitresses making. Even after finishing our meal, we had to wait for her to return in order to receive our check. Then, that night, God exacted his vengeance upon our sphincters, for our entering such a wicked place. The Applebees that I thought I knew the first time is not real. It was a mirage, appearing to be greater due to that wonderful server. But Lot has fled Sodom, entering employment somewhere else. May the Lord have mercy on the souls within this Applebees, as I am sure he will wipe if from the face of the earth. read more

Well I can't say I've ever stopped eating at a restaurant because I really didn't like the food. They ketchuped the crap out of the Brunch burger. It sounded amazing on the menu... and then I tried it. I wasn't the only one not enjoying the meal. If it wasn't for a grift card I probably wouldn't have gone. They have a few good things on their menu, but no joke Wendy's has better burgers than here! Their artichoke dip was good, but the chips were way cheap. The steak... eh. This place needs a boost in food quality, service and communication. For starters we were sat down and waited nearly 20min to get our drinks. Mind you the place was pretty empty with about 7 waitresses. My waitress "K" had her belly hanging out the bottom of her uniform, her tongue wiggling out of her mouth while taking my order. My food seems like it was sitting for awhile, came out cold(I believe my waitress forgot about our order as two others bought my order out) My medium steak came out fully cooked and chewy. We weren't even asked once about how the food or we were doing, literally nothing. I don't normally write reviews but if this place keeps operating this way they won't be here much longer. By far one of my favorite places to grab lunch or dinner. When ever I'm in the area I have to stop and get some chow here. You don't spend a lot, the serving size is more than enough and there are way to many choices. The food is great, the staff is friendly and Johnny runs a tight ship. Can't remember why we stopped going to Applebees, I think it was a dispute about cayenne in Wyoming. Anyway, two weeks on the road and we're back in civilization, and Applebees happens to be walking distance from our hotel. Steak for me, grilled chicken salad for her. I gotta say, it was perfect and about the best meal I've had in weeks. Steak was cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes were amazing, steamed veg pretty good. I mean, it is Applebee's... but after waiting about 15 minutes to be seated when I walked past about 8 empty tables... and waiting 45 mins for a Caesar salad and Mac and cheese (two other tables were sat 5-10 mins after us And both had their meals 10 mins before us)... so told them we needed it to go at this point... then got home with Caesar salad only to find there was NO CEASAR DRESSING IN IT!!!!!! We have given this place one too many chances!!! This is the 2nd time we have been to this location where not only has the service sucked but the food was even worse!! Both times our food has come out either raw, cold, or waaaaaay over done, or even food that has been sitting under a heating lamp for over the time limit. Both times we have waited over 45 min for our order and gotten gross food, and each time the assigned server doesn't bring our food someone else does while the server is just talking to other people. Nathan was our server today and he would talk to us very loudly and forgot stuff we ordered right after we told him. We ordered an alcoholic drink and never got it, luckily we weren't charged but still, our appetizer came out with our meal and was baked to the side of the dish so we didn't get very much dipping sauce cause it was all baked to the bowl. Our food when it came out was very bad. It looked like it was sitting out the whole time, the burger my husband got was RAW!! It was pink and looked like they had barley even cooked it. He got the whisky burger and boy they don't skimp on the whisky I took a bite and spit it right back out!!! Waaay to much whisky. This was last time we will go to ANY Applebee's it has throughly ruined every location for us!! Location is dirty salads and burgers took FOREVER when it wasn't even busy. Waitress didn't want to sell drinks (tried to buy margaritas) we asked for a birthday dessert and she completely forgot. Had to be reminded of things multiple times including silverware. Bathroom was dirty my shoes stuck to the floor and the paper towel machine was broken. They got my daughters order wrong. Ate here last night with a coworker and her family and I will never eat here again. Walked in at 630 in the evening and there were but 3 or 4 tables occupied. That should have been a telltale sign but brushed it off and figured it was just slow because it was Sunday. Sat down and immediately felt uncomfortably warm.. It felt as if the heater was on. Our server came to get our drink order and bless her heart she was not fully with it. She did not look happy to be there and seemed to be on drugs. The hostess, who was nowhere to be found when we walked in walks people by our table and sits them right next to us. Normally this would not bug me but, she could have sat these nice people literally anywhere in the whole restaurant. We order our food and wait. The server brings out one plate of boneless wings and places them on the table. The wings are cold and hardly has any glaze. No one wanted to say how nasty the wings are until my coworker bites into a half frozen piece. After about 15 or 20 mins we see our server come out with food and we are excited only to find out it's not our food. The food she had were for the people who arrived and ordered after us. We complain to our server about the half frozen wings and she brings out the manager. We were told sorry and were offered another plate. No explanation just sorry do you want another plate? When we told him no he said he would take the wings off of our bill. When asked about our neighbors getting their food before us the manager said it's because they didn't have a big order. As he walked away our neighbors stop him to complain that their wings were also cold and not very tasty. The manager went on to explain that they got a new freezer, etc. etc. We waited some more and by this time we are contemplating just leaving. I'm sad we didn't just get up and leave. The food finally came and it was not good, it was actually gross. We had an order of boneless wings that were drenched in sauce. Customer service, management, cooks and the quality and taste of the food were lacking. Don't waste your time or money really, any place is better then here. read more

I haven't been to Applebee's in years and decided to go the other day because I had a gift card. I wish I never went. Right as you arrive they only ask you how many is in your party and never wrote it down. You could tell the host was trying to figure out who came in first so they could be seated first. Once seated we didn't see our waitress for about five minutes or more. We ordered the 2 for $25. We got the spinach artichoke dip with chips and it was gross. I think we got the last of the chips in the bag because all we got was crumbs. You could yell the dip had been microwaved because the top was hard and everything else boiling hot. The ribs were decent. A bit over cooked and not much to them but still tasted decent. Now I understand why all of their restaurants are closing. read more
