We ordered dinner for drive by pickup. after 5 past est. time i walked in and spoke with manager working behind bar he went to the back and brought me my order. only 10 min late no big deal. The order was incomplete, missing the desert. Upon calling applebees and speaking with manager Lisa she told me i could either drive back up there and pick one up or receive a gift card for price of desert. We've been there twice in the past few weeks and won't go back. The first time I ordered the southwest chicken bowl and it was so spicy it was inedible. Last night we got there around 6:45 and there weren't many people there. Nobody was at the reception desk but there were workers standing around in the back visiting and looking at us. One finally, slowly walked up and seated us. Our waitress may have been new. We understand this could cause some issues but she should have had someone oversee her, if that was the case. Very, very slow service, ordered an appetizer and it arrived with no silverware or small plates. Ordered small riblet platter and asked for a salad instead of fries. I said I'd pay an up charge, if needed. I got my salad, and the LARGE riblet platter, WITH fries, but no cole slaw. The ribs had Buffalo sauce on them, which I did not order and can't eat so I sent them back. When we finally got our bill I saw that I was charged for the large riblet platter AND a side salad. Our waitress was incredibly slow (yes, she was pregnant but it was either exaggerated or she was ready to give birth and shouldn't have been working) and every person who came to our table seemed like they were in a zombie apocalypse. No facial expression, no pleasantries, no care. I don't see this Applebees staying in business much longer if it continues this trend. read more

The waitress Teresa B is rude. She focused on the other tables and not on me and my fiancé. My fiancé asked for a side of Mayo for her sandwich. When Teresa failed to bring it in 10 minutes or more we asked another lady who brought it right out on a plate very quickly and with a smile. We were not offered refills and when Teresa asked if we wanted drinks to go we said yes. She then brought out 2 white child size cups and we had to pour our own. We had noticed Teresa had offered to go drinks to a near by table of 4 men and brought out 4 large blue Pepsi cups with fresh drinks. I don't know if Teresa has a problem with us as a couple since we are interracial being I am white and my fiancé is black. I don't know if we will be going back for lunch. I just got diagnosed with alpha gal syndrome, so I hit them with a high food allergy problem walking in. They were nothing but friendly and helpful, very accommodating with my special needs because there's beef, pork, dairy in everything and I can't have cross contamination. Was checked on frequently to see if I was happy with the accommodations. And yeah, the perfect Margarita is indeed perfect. On top of that, there was a problems at another table no fault of theirs, but they kept calm, friendly and helpful through the whole thing. Amazing team and amazing place. read more

I want you to know that I may have lost one friend to cancer, but probably made 50 more nice friends around Missouri (and like 5 at Applebee's). All such nice people too. Lemme finish telling you, the food was only part of Applebee's. The decor, ambiance and staff made the stars higher. y wife and I were served a frozen order of mozzarella sticks for our appetizer. They were promptly replaced with...another order of still frozen in the middle mozzarella sticks. Our actual entrees were decent. My wife ordered a drink. Very shortly after we started eating we were brought the check. We weren't close to being done yet, my wife hadn't even finished her first drink and was going to get a second one. I was going to get a dessert. We went there last night about 10pm maybe 930 and we ordered the 2 for 26. We had spin dip and chips as our appetizer which was okay. I had the fried shrimp and he had the steak. We waited well over a half hour for our food which shouldnt have taken that long!! My shrimp was okay but fries were barely warm and the coleslaw was terrible! He ordered his steak medium and it was more like rare to med rare!! Couldnt get a baked potato! Its been a couple of years since we ate here cuz of poor service and poor food quality! I swear to myself, I will make the extra 20 minute drive to go to 54th Street Grill. If I can't make it there, I'll just go get fast food. Absolutely phenomenal. I came here because there really wasn't anywhere else to eat at the time of night that it was. I ordered a Thai Shrimp Salad, that was only 410 calories but managed to carry 25g of protein. The salad was absolutely phenomenal, and I will definitely be getting it again. The dressing was perfect - Chili Lime Vinaigrette. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. The salad contained the perfect amounts of lettuce to cabbage. There is nothing bad I can say about this salad. To drink, I got a water, as usual. I am rather picky about water, and prefer to only drink Voss or Icelandic, Fiji on some occasions. But the water here was exceptional and tasted as though it was similar to one of those brands. I would compare the quality of the water to Smart Water. If you are picky on water, there is no need to worry here! read more

We had a bad experience here. When we arrived we were told it would be a 20 minute wait, even though half the tables in the restaurant were empty. When we were seated there was a touch screen device on the table. It had games and the ability to order on it, but no one told us if that was how we ordered. We waited and listened as 2 tables around us complained about their service and incorrect food. After about 10 minutes we pushed the call server button on the touch screen. We ordered simple items, and finally received our food after a 30 minute wait. One of the kitchen staff delivered our food, and hurried off before we could ask for silverware. We tried to get our servers attention, but had to use the touch screen again, just to get silverware. The food was decent, but we again had a long wait for our check. Eventually the host brought us our check and told us our server would be with us shortly. A simple meal took more than 90 minutes. Ditch the touch screen devices and provide prompt courteous service. read more

Let me first start by saying that I'm kind of a food snob - I'm from Miami, Florida and used to eat a lot at high-end restaurants and am pretty picky. Since moving to Harrisonville, MO, I have to say that selections have become...limited. I am a home wife and massive homebody, when I'm not cooking I like to get food fast and with as little human interaction as possible. I hate standing around in line chit-chatting. I just want to get my food and not talk to anyone. Unfortunately, there are no "mid-scale" fast food restaurants in Harrisonville, like Chipotle or Panera Bread or Chick-Fil-A, so we are pretty much stuck with either full-blown fast food (yuck) or walk-in restaurants. There are a couple good restaurants in Harrisonville, but we are mostly stuck with reallllllyyy slow or flat-out awful customer service. I have dealt with some of the nastiest customer service people restaurants in Harrisonville than I ever did in Florida, strangely enough. I have never been a huge fan of Applebee's until living here. I mean, it's not gourmet food obviously....but I'll tell you one thing, if you're a homebody, don't feel like cooking and want food a step up from fast food that is easy to get and cheap then this is for you. Curbside is a blessing. I order it online and pay with my card online and include the tip. then when I pick up my meal in my car I can be dressed like a slob and just kind of stick my hand out like the cryptkeeper and snatch my food without talking to anyone. It's really a dream. Nothing else in Harrisonville like it. And I think the lunch combo is a steal....for $10 you can get two really generous portions of food that I split up into two meals. The customer service is also way better than almost anywhere else in Harrisonville, surprisingly enough. I'm used to being treated like crap when the restaurant makes a mistake. The other day Applebee's forgot my dressing and when I drove back to get it (it wasn't a big deal) instead of screaming at me like I'm used to in Harrisonville, the manager actually came out, apologized, and gave me a gift certificate! Color me surprised... Anyway, if you're a homebody like me looking for cheap, convenient food a step-up from fast food where you barely have to interact with humans and live in the area, check out Applebee's. Their curbside is pretty sweet and life-changing. I think the bad reviews on here are a little unfair so I want to bump it up! read more

Went here with the fam on a Sunday, around 3 pm. Stood at front waiting to be seated for over 2 minutes. No one acknowledged us at all. Then waiter finally asks if we've been helped and seats us. Should have been first clue. Order green bean app, came out with 9 beans/pieces(not full beans) on the plate. That's some gold beans at $0.50 piece. Told them and waiter agreed it was sun par...so why did he deliver it that way? My parents had ordered same app and it's brought out a few minutes later the same way. My dad says to keep their beans. Waiter apologizes and skunks away. Food comes and it's ok. My food was cold and soggy telling me that it sat while other portions of order were prepped. Manager comes over and asks how things are after being promoted by her staff. This annoys me...you know the issue yet come over and ask like you don't know. I tell her, she says, "I'm sorry." that's it. Not worth the trip over, she wasted time and air. Get the bill, tell them to take my parents bean app off bc it was sent back. The waiter brings final bill and says, "hopefully the mishaps from the kitchen don't affect my tip." no...but that comment just did. Next time we will just go to Hardees :-\ read more

We stopped in at the Harrisonville Applebees ordered our meal sat there visiting and the manager came out and said their kitchen was swamped and it was going to take awhile and he'd comp our meal. We hadn't complained so we said oh you don't have to do that, but ok. A few minutes later he delivers our meal and says it didn't take as long we rushed them out so I'll only comp 1/2 the meal... Seriously? Mine was to be medium well and it was medium rare blood over my plate into my potato.
