Waited over an hour for food that never came, we were offered our meals to go but still wasn't ready and we were done waiting! Everyone was sat closely together in one area making it very loud. Despite their being 2 ramps to access the 'upper' seating area, the hostess decided my visually impaired husband who actively uses a white cane and is lead around (as well as other elderly patrons), should access upper seating via stairs, two small steps instead of the ramps which would have been much more convenient and less of a struggle. Served with our chipotle lime salsa and sour cream. The Tortilla chips were so salty, I couldn't eat them - it was like someone dumped entire salt shaker on them. The Chicken Quesadillas were anything but LOADED, they had almost no filling in them at all and if there was any chicken in them, I couldn't find it. A total waste of money. read more

My family and I chose Applebee's, which turned out to be a very bad choice. Let me say the waitress was very good at her job. First off we ordered chips and queso, the chips were so salty that we could not eat them waitress took those brought some more and unfortunately, those were also extremely salty could not even enjoy the queso. We received our meals cheeseburger well done NO salt due to health condition. What came was cheeseburger with a stale bun so hard you could use it as a hockey puck and loads of salt on fries that we're not edible Our waitress, then said that she was going to have to speak with her manager and it took a half hour for that manager to come over and try to rectify this matter. The manager, then proceeded to tell us that all the seasonings are measured out, so she doesn't understand how one batch could be saltier than the other. Oh, and I forgot to say that my uncles burger and fries his burger was fine. Fries were too salty to eat So needless to say, this was the absolute worst meal we tried to eat with the understanding that people do get busy but for a manager to take a half hour to come to address, the issue is very unprofessional. If the manager had come sooner, maybe she could've put in another order for fries and a burger. By the time she came to the table we had finished what we could eat. unfortunately that poor waitress had to endure us complaining about the food and she was a wonderful waitress. I believe I was just racially profiled at this Applebee's. I've been going to Applebee's for most of my adult life and I've never received the eerie service anywhere that I've received tonight. My partner and I came out for some food and drinks not only were we disappointed by what we believe that the staff felt we were going to cause a ruckus because of the color of our skin. We ate our food, paid our bill and tipped. However, we were greeted by the local police by the time we were leaving asking to check our ID's. The officer stated that he was asking because a car was stolen and siting near by. However, we were the ONLY two African American's (Individuals) who were asked to be identified although the cop stated that they were asking everyone. I then went over to the hotel I was staying in, just to see the cops leave only about 5 minutes after my partner and I had left. Which means to me that no one else was asked upon departure to show their ID and the restaurant still hadn't closed yet. The service was fine and they did apologize but whole experience just reeked of corporate neglect. Hard to enjoy the replacement while I'm trying to figure the likelihood of getting salmonella. Like on god most ridiculous experience if the cook cares that little y'all gotta get him a new job. I ain't even mad cuz my immune system has the efficiency of seal team 6 but if I was already sick or someone with an immune system built like congress I woulda been in the ambulance. Hi Applebees in Vt or anywhere doesn't have vegetarian dishes. When requested what they could provide they said a salad which I agreed. Well all it contained was lettuce. So sad I was with a guest from Argentina and so embarrassed. I do realize it was no the servers fault however corporate. My husband and I were both craving steak-he is a chef, and I can easily hold my own in the kitchen... therefore, we are tough customers. We looked at other local places to eat and decided on this spot as our 4 year old wanted to join us last minute. Quite frankly, we didn't expect much, but our expectations were soon decimated by our experience. Not only did we have an AMAZING waitress (named Kayla), our food was incredible. When you go to a chain restaurant, you don't fully expect that the chef will be able to temp a steak properly.... we were very happily mistaken in this case! We had such an incredible meal! The only part that twas less than desirable was my drink. I ordered a perfect margarita-it was MUCH less than perfect. There was 30% less than normal and it was all juice. A waste of money. Thankfully, our waitress and the chef were epic, so they partially made up for the bartender! Maybe stick to wine or beer where you steer clear of the mixing. Regardless, we will be back soon! This is from my sister's experience she had last night Decide to go to dinner at Applebee's with the kids. Quick run down. 2 hours to get food. Waitress never to be found. Never got drink refills. Never bothered to let us know "kitchen had issues" 7:25pm, I'm ready to leave and get the kids happy meals. 7:26, food arrives, everything's cold, orders wrong. My salad had hair right through the middle of it. Still no sign of our waitress. 20 minutes later, still waiting for my replacement salad. Finally found someone to just tell them to pack it up to go. Another 10 minutes rolls by, no salad. We literally got two kids meals, appetizer wings, breadsticks and I got a salad. Holy shit people. The manager apologized, comped the salad. Gave us a appetizer coupon, that I now see expires tomorrow ‍. Our waitress blamed it on the kitchen; sure, but her other 3 tables got the same treatment. I'm not one to complain on social media about places, but holy smokes folks, that was horrible. It pained me to pay $42 for that shit meal. So here we are, enjoying my now "to go" salad, at 8:47pm. My son and I were looking to grab some takeout on. Friday night. Nothing fancy just a couple of burgers and Fries. After getting on Applebees website and realizing it wasn't going to let us order online which is what their phone line kind of promotes is the preferred option I just went ahead and tried calling. Whoever picked up said they were not taking orders until 6pm. No other explanation given other than try back then. I hit the road did some other errands nearby and call at 6. No answer. Just rang and rang. So we stopped by. The pick up cue was hopping so clearly they had been taking orders despite what I was told on the phone. I went inside and was told they were not taking anymore orders until the kitchen caught up at some undisclosed time. I was told they were short staffed and basically oh well. Look I get it. Everyone is short staffed. I manage a place that's short staffed. However if you told me in the beginning that you were over your head and it wasn't looking good you would have saved me 40 minutes I could have spent looking elsewhere. Instead you were rude and acted like I was in idiot for even thinking of coming there to get food on a Friday. Instead we grabbed a nice burger down the road with no hassle whatsoever. read more

Came in to eat here tonight with a group of coworkers, and I'll start by saying the place wasn't busy. There were maybe 8 tables seated in the entire restaurant. Secondly, it took 30 minutes to get a simple drink, which should take maybe 3. I was one of the first to order drinks and food, and waited almost an hour for a simple appetizer which I ordered as a meal. It being an appetizer, should mean it would come out sooner. Nope, an hour later I received my dish, which was fine, but not worth waiting an hour for. It took so long to get my food, that I ended up being late for an appointment I had afterwards. Our server was very inattentive, rarely checking on us, I waited almost 20 minutes after finishing my meal before the check was brought over. In all, it was a very bad experience, and I would recommend that if you have another option, you should take it. read more
