Decent beer, decent bar food, great service. My breakfast burger was cooked just right. My wife's was good but a bit bland.

At this point we have sampled just about everything on the menu, including the weekend brunch and you just can't go wrong with what you order. So, this review is a little overdue but so well deserved! Most recently, we made a reservation for after our daughter's graduation with a group of 13. They welcomed us right in and were incredibly accommodating, even when a few more folks joined at the last minute. That kind of flexibility and friendliness really goes a long way in a small-town! The service was top-notch! A genuinely friendly staff, attentive, and well-organized despite the size of our group. Even better, all of the food came out promptly, hot, and fresh, which everyone appreciated. Every single person at the table left happy with their experience and will be back for another meal soon. The staff is more than deserving of positive recognition and praise. We highly recommend stopping in for a hometown experience. Whether you're coming from out of your way or just right down the road, come check out this wonderful hidden gem. you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

Tuesday's they have both Taco Tuesday specials and live music! The music was enjoyable but not overpoweringly loud, we were sitting in the same room maybe 30 feet away and had no trouble hearing each other talk. The taco Tuesday special was great--build your own taco plate! I was worried the ingredients might have been picked over or stale, but those typical buffet maladies were far from the 1764. All buffet options were fresh and well stocked. We arrive just before 6pm and were seated immediately, no wait. The place had a handful of open tables and bar seats available. The whole menu looked great, particularly the burgers and other handhelds (I was in a sandwich mood). Significant entree selection as well, check out the menu.

There are dart boards and shuffleboard table, which were not in use. Our server was attentive and friendly, as were other staff we interacted with. Beer menu is extensive as you would imagine from the name, and they also have a separate cocktail menu (but we did try). Food was very good. I had The Cask. As long as you like goat cheese, you should like this sandwich. I loved it. Other meals included the pulled pork sandwich and Reuben. All were good. The order of garlic and rosemary fries are very crispy - good for snack or just pair with some beers. Overall, decent place and service. I would return!

We stumbled in for a late bite on a quiet winter carnival weekend and there were only a handful of patrons, mostly locals sitting at the bar. The bartender (and our server) Edward was friendly and kept an eye on us and made sure we had what we needed. The food is solidly average pub fare, not bad and perfectly serviceable, but it shouldn't be your primary objective if you're a foodie hunter like me. But on a main drag littered mostly with mediocre bar-restaurants charging tourist prices for tourist indifference, I'll take "just fine" as a win. I'm not much of a drinker but my husband liked his can of Copper Legend lager so much that he ordered another one to go. The location is conveniently central especially if you're staying on Canada St. or doing activities at the lake.
