Apple Ridge is everything you want in a neighborhood cafe. It has an abundant menu, delicious home style food, and a friendly staff. Breakfast is the most popular time to go as they normally have a waitlist but waiting is so worth it! Try anything with the green chili, it's great! Their breakfast burritos are legendary in size and flavor! For lunch and dinner their specials are always good and come with soup, salad or pie! Some of our favorite items on the menu are the Ruben Sandwich, Cheeseburger, Chicken Fried Chicken, The Mexican combination, Chili Rellanos, and The pork chops. Be patient with the wait staff, they work hard and are usually dealing with a crowd of people! They are amazing! read more

This is a good old fashioned blue collar American diner, plain and simple. The food is good, solid fare, at least for breakfast, and is generally quite hearty for no more expensive than it is. It's a local place, the sort of spot where the waitress will ask a regular if it's the usual and know what that means. Service tends to be snappy except on Sunday mornings. The local churches tend to have folks come by after that and it can slow down service, but I've never had to wait more than ten minutes for my food. That said, it does have some quirks. The building is old, like most in the area, and you seat yourselves if there's not a wait line. The staff have self respect, which if you're used to bowing and scraping may offend certain bourgeois tastes. It's a working class diner through an through. The one notable thing to dislike is an additional service charge tacked on for paying with credit card, which drops one star. However if you pay cash this isn't a problem. read more

Just got to thinking about this past weekend how two adults and two children got charged $45 for breakfast. I'm glad I took a picture of the menu so I could go over the prices. I ordered the breakfast burrito and subbed in sausage, so $8.99. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, $9.29. My kids got the kids French toast and pancake breakfasts, both $6.29. My husband ordered a coke, the rest of us drank water. The total was $45 and some change. I don't know about y'all, but I added up our meals prices and the total came out to $30.86. Y'all telling me two dinky glasses of coke and tax were damn near $15? Y'all out of your damn mind. Bunch of scammers. Y'all either think really high of yourself to charge that much to begin with for completely inedible food, or you must make quite the profit charging people an additional THIRD the cost of their bill. Makes sense why you don't put a total on the check when the waitress drops it off. Seriously, start putting the total on your checks BEFORE we get up the register! Stupid, stupid place. I've passed by this cafe soooooo many times, & for no particular reason only recently stopped in (twice now). The first visit left a fantastic impression! Despite it being a very crowded Sunday morning, my party of 2 easily found a comfy, clean corner booth. While we had to grab our own menus from a nearby station, our waitress tended to us fairly soon after to greet us & take our drink orders. Due to how busy they were, it did take a bit of time for us to have our food order taken, & we had both finished our non-refillable drinks by the time our food arrived. Given the # of customers, our food surprisingly didn't take very long after ordering, and everything was incredibly fresh and extremely tasty!! We opted to stop in again recently to try their lunch/dinner menu. This time it was a very uncrowded weekday. Our waitress was extremely personable & attentive, and we each opted to try a different meat item (one chicken, one turkey). Unfortunately, while still edible, these dishes were not nearly as good as the breakfast ones we had prior. The turkey was not of the highest quality, the mashed potatoes were average, and the oddly-colored yellow gravy poured over the meal had a very off-putting presentation/appearance (though the taste was fine). The quality of the chicken was a little better than the turkey, but it was a somewhat unappealing cut visually. The fries were also average, with a very fresh potato taste albeit a bit too soggy. Overall, we have deemed this place moreso a breakfast/brunch joint for us, & we will most definitely continue returning repeatedly for that - especially given the strong level of customer service provided by the waitresses we've had so far and the very fair prices. read more

The hubs and I drive by all the time and decided this morning was the day to try breakfast here. We pulled into a full parking lot and expected an hour long wait. We put our name on a list and within ten minutes were seated at our table. Service was hustling! I ordered the green chili and cheese omelet and the hubs got the breakfast burrito with chorizo. After we got our food arrived we realized we forgot to order a cinnamon roll. The waitress zipped past our table and laid a perfectly warmed roll without missing a step. The cinnamon roll was a perfect example of a cinnamon roll and we ate the whole thing. The omelet was fantastic and my only negative was the green chili was a little on the salty side. On the side were fantastic hash browns that were crispy and made with chunks of potato. The breakfast burrito was enormous but also tasty. Again the green chili sauce was a little on the salty side. Our waitress said barely twenty words but that's ok because she was still very nice. It's a cafe on a Sunday morning and service was fast and tasty. We will be back! read more

A good ol fashioned, cut and dry, no frills no frocks DINER. The servers will not coddle you. If they seem busy and short, IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE BEING EFFICIENT and want you in and out of their booth as quickly as possible so they can get the next hungry person fed. This place is amazing, I live about eight minutes away and my friend and I come here often. We've tried switching it up a few times but it never works out because this place is the best in town. We go to some other places and they don't even have hashbrowns, this place definitely has hashbrowns. I love this place. It's your typical old school home cookin diner. The ladies that work here are great. Really good service and super friendly and attentive. We come here for the chicken fried chicken. It's the best. They always have a special, which always sounds super yummy. You can get breakfast for dinner which is my daughters favorite. The place is cute. Country feel with little country nik naks everywhere. There are always fresh cinnamon rolls, different pies and lots of other goodies after you are stuffed from dinner. Yesterday was the worst...staff was awful, in particular one waitress . You can't miss her. Close talking everyone, with her mask at her chin. She was so rude, in particular to an individual who had some mental heath issues (sweet kid, not bothering anyone, just talking to himself). The wait is chaotic! No room, no real order to things, you kind of have to guess your way through it. It's an akward wait...for sure. Once your seated, the benches have completely lost all the padding...and your tush will feel it! The bathrooms are super sketchy, you have to leave the restaurant and walk to the side of the building, kinda like a gas station. We ordered a breakfast meal and 2 sandwiches. I was wavering between 1 and 2 stars, but had to settle for one. We have been to Apple Ridge Cafe (years ago) and it was much better then. My husband had blueberry pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and sausage. His meal was just ok, but the bluebuerry syrup was way too artificial I had strawberry french toast. Eh, nothing to rave about. Our drinks came quickly, but then our server forgot about us- forgot to take our order, forgot to bring us our check. You get the point. Now for the negatives: First, this place only accepts cash- period. In today's day and age, that is such an inconvenience. They do have an ATM, but by the time you are hit with fees from the machine and from your bank, it's a rip off. Secondly, you physically have to walk outside and around the building to use the bathroom. And, lastly, they do not have high-chairs. We didn't need one, but the family across from us did. They have a kids menu (which indicates they are a family friendly restaurant) but no high chair? Odd. I doubt we'll return. read more

Last summer while out in CO on vacation, we were headed to the Denver flea market and we stumbled upon this place. Well, let me tell you, this is it! It was breakfast time and we both ordered the breakfast burrito, which was HUGE. Filled with eggs, potato, cheese, beans, onions, peppers and covered with this yummy red chile sauce with pork, which was so spicy good. ( I have been trying to m make this myself at home but can't seem to get it right) I usually do not order breakfast, as I don't like breakfast foods, and they had the entire menu open....meatloaf, turkey sandwiches...open all day!! The hostess lady was so nice and friendly she even gave us cinnamon rolls as we were leaving and thanked us for coming and wished us well on our travels. Alright food. Crappy service. I get it's a fast paced diner but the waitresses have the personality of a soggy diaper. Never came back to see if I needed anything. Got in a fight with them at the register because the menu clearly says ADD Italian sausage for $1. I thought this meant you can add it and wasn't a substitution. Wow! This spot is amazing! We decided to stop in for breakfast because it was recommended by James, a bartender at a local bar. We were only in town for a few days and this spot was just wonderful. Our waitress Connie was super friendly and they had staff walking around filling your cup with coffee and water. Our coffee cups stayed fresh! Now the food! Just look at my pictures!
