I went in for the genius bar because my iPhone had a black spots on the screen, the battery had a capacity of 77%, and my phones frame was bent. I walked in and told an employee that I had an appointment and was checked in quickly. Another employee helped me start the diagnostic process which went fast. I was then transferred to a technician that helped me finish the process which was very fast. After inspection, the technician told me that I was simply going to get a replacement iPhone due to the damage on my phone. I ended up getting the replacement phone free of charge due to the iPhone being covered under AppleCare+. Overall I had a great and pleasant experience at Apple Promenade Temecula! read more

I walked in to Apple Store to have iPad Pro looked at due to frozen screen. Had to wait 2 hrs for appt, then they plugged iPad into Laptop and proceeded to update. It failed twice so he took it to the technician only to come back and tell me the hardware was potentially bad, and then offered to sell me refurbished one at $459. I Declined, went home downloaded an app to repair my iPad, guess what, my IPad works now! I went with my intuition from God that Apple was trying to upsell, sure enough I believe Apple did just that. It's all about the sale, make money, don't worry about satisfying the customer, RIP us off I prayed with my gr'kids while there, and told them, many times God doesn't answer us how we expect Him to, but gives us discernment and leads us another way so He gets all the glory! I will start out by saying that if I could give this Apple Store 6 stars I would! I had a very difficult and lengthy return that I brought to the Temecula Apple Store earlier today, I was not sure if my return would be accepted or of what the outcome would be; I just made an appointment and showed up. After I was greeted at the door and signed in, I was asked to wait at a table for the next customer service rep. I was about 30 minutes early so I assumed that I would be waiting for a while; that was not the case and about five minutes into my wait i was ushered to the Genius bar where I met my customer service rep Gonzo. Gonzo introduced himself and asked about my issue which I explained at great length, Gonzo listened and then when I was finished talking said" got it, we can take care of this for you." The process took about an hour, which I was more than prepared for, but in the end Gonzo was able to figure out the complex problem, engage his manager for some additional assistance, and get me taken care of 100%. Gonzo was apologetic throughout the process saying that he was sorry that it was taking so long when in my mind things were moving pretty quickly. At the end of my appointment all was taken care of and I thanked Gonzo and his manager for their time and courtesy. Bottom Line- Gonzo went WAY above and beyond to help me with my issue and I was shocked at the level of customer service I received by both him and his management team. I can not recommend this Apple Store highly enough, and I hope that anyone else who has had a similar experience will also post about it. With everything going on in the world right now, its easy for someone in a customer service role to simply blow you off and chalk it up to/blame Covid; this didn't happen and I am very appreciative. All though this incident happened on Dec 31, 2022 @13:20 and this review isn't about me even though I had a positive experience it's about what I witnessed inches near me. I had written it down on my notes on the day it that took place and I'm just getting to it now because I believe that it's important I post about the good things I saw on this day. The apple employee Skinny tall guy with long white hair and long chained black earrings with a cross on them, I believe his name was Korbin. An older gentleman was there and had obvious memory problems cuz he suffered from a stroke from what I over heard, I was facing them not even 1ft away, I was not trying to be in there business. The Gentleman could barely write, he didn't even know the password to his phone or any of his accounts. The gentleman was completely overwhelmed. Korbin was extremely patient,understanding, compassionate, empathetic. Give this man a raise Apple, give him a paid vacation. Words cannot express the amount of care and the amount of appreciation I witnessed this apple employee provide to this gentleman. I don't write long reviews but this needed to be shared. Paid for parking on a Tues evening to walk in. Store was busy and only 4 employees. Waited around patiently and then let an employee know that I would like to make purchase for a computer. He let me know that one person ahead of me and would send someone over to help. Waited another 30 minutes. Very disorganized and understaffed. Walked out and won't be back. The employee that knew I had been waiting saw me walk out (he wasn't helping anyone at that point) and made no effort to assure me I would be helped. read more

Be sure to check that your apple tech is giving you the right phone when they walk up to you with it ‍ it doesn't matter if they say yes it is that color that you want after asking twice because you will still end up with the WRONG COLOR! I spent a pretty penny on this phone and you can't even get that right? My dad got a new phone and walked out without opening the box to see what color he got and it was the wrong color. I just got my phone today and I asked the lady multiple times about the color and she reassured me. Finally when she did hand it over to me and I flipped it over? It's the wrong color. She's a 3 year old who doesn't know how to hold it yet and I also wouldn't want her to hold it. The so-called "specialist" are just glorified salesmen. Not being an Apple user, I took my son's locked-out ipad in for a factory reset (also brought original box and sales receipt). The tech that assisted us had issues charging and connecting the ipad to his MacBook - he took the iPad to the back room and later determined that the port was bad. He then said they don't repair ports, and because of newer models available, proceeds to give us pricing on new ipads. I decided otherwise and took the ipad home and connected it to another family members Mac - and what do you know?...no issues connecting(or charging)...AND we were able to unlock & restore my sons iPad. * Word of advice to the "specialist": get a new/better cable. The one we used at home did not have any play/wiggle or disconnect at any time during the data transfer/restore process (...maybe that's part of their sales tactic?). read more

So. This is a work in progress, & I'm cognizant that it won't change a thing. Apple is too popular, which is why their service has apparently diminished. I had a 1:00 appointment. I tried to check in at 12:58 at the door, but no one was there. I made my way to the Genius Bar, where there are many folks being assisted. No one acknowledged me with eye contact or a greeting of any type. I waited until 1:10, & asked a man who had finished with a costumer when I might be helped. He asked me if I had an appointment, to which I said "yes." He asked for the time, & he let me know my appointment had been canceled when I hadn't checked in. So here's my issue: 1.) There was no one at the door when I came into the store. Yes, I looked. 2.) How hard is it to say, "We'll be with you in a minute." ?? 3.) Why why why was this my fault?? Which is how the person with whom I spoke made me feel. 4.). When I did get help, the help was less than warm & fuzzy. I own all Apple products, which are not cheap. I use them because I expect the service to be top notch. As I write this review, the gentleman to my left is also equally agitated. Clearly, the Apple Store is struggling with happy thoughts today. We do have a full moon coming. I can't threaten to never return. I'm too invested. I'm also very, very disappointed. read more

Staff seem undertrained; front door person 4:00 01/09/22 doesn't know what can and can't be sold by apple. I just want a left ear pod replacement. I could walk into the store pick one up and buy it through the apple store app a year ago, now i have to take time out of my day to have a genius apt to get it for me and install it. Bruh. No thanks at that point charge me for a new unit. And on top of they they didn't even do anything to reset it they give it to you and say "here take MORE time out of your day, plug them both in and let them update." i straight up asked "then what's the point of this appointment" he says "just to give it to you". So realistically i SHOULD have been able to just walk in and buy it... Make me jump thru hoops just to make me do it all on my own. I do not recommend coming into apple for anything other than specific appointments. They are understaffed and you have to schedule "shopping appointments" where they help you get the products. Before I start this review, I would like to state that I love Apple products. But I was recently tricked it to buying and apple iPad by an apple specialist at this store. The reason I say tricked is this. We took our iPad to this store because it was not charging. The "specialist" tested it and said that it is unrepairable. So he talked us into purchasing an new one, which was ok with us until two days later when the new one starting doing the same thing as the one we took in for them to look at. When we returned the new one, we were told that they would mail us a new one in a few days. Days passed and we called to find out that they had sent the new one to the repair shop. BUT WHY, WHEN IT WAS NEW AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE OLD ONE, WHICH THEY SAID THAT WAS UNREPAIRABLE. We feel tricked. I am currently in contact with Apple, and will keep you updated. read more

I tried to stop by 40 minutes before closing to have employees look at my non-functioning left AirPod, only to be told they can't even look at my product without an appointment. But they didn't have any appointments available today or tomorrow. I tried to schedule an appointment for several different days the next week, during a time frame that would work for me, but they didn't have those available. I asked if I could mail the AirPods into Apple to look at or repair them, and was told they'd have to be looked at at an Apple Store. I called apple to make an appointment twice since my phone is damaged and I explained that I cant recieve texts and not able to check email to confirm the address and time of my appointment. I was given the address over the phone and was confirmed my appointment verbally again. When I arrived to the store, they told me I dont have an appointmaent, I explained that I have called twice and confirmed and drove 20. minutes to get there since its important, the guy said his name is Michael and he is one of the supervisors and they can't help me, sorry! My daughter and I went in fully ready to purchase a MacBook for her upcoming university classes, however were told that we would not be permitted to purchase without an advance appointment. There is a sign on the front door that states, "No Appointment, No Problem", however I guess it is a problem. Even begging them to take our money fell on deaf ears. I even spoke to another Apple employee, who was very rude, reiterating that we cannot purchase. Huh?? It sure appears that Apple is NOT the customer-friendly experience that they once were... Disappointed in the service. Made an appointment for Saturday & showed up on time only to be informed I couldn't upgrade my phone. My wife & daughter in law were Both able to upgrade their phones on my account using a promotion with AT&T. My wife literally did this Yesterday! I asked to do the same thing but I'm told that promotion & exchanging my phone could Only be done at an AT&T store. I explained that my wife was here, in this same store yesterday & and performed this transaction. I even explained that she had just returned from the AT&T store This morning from returning her old Iphone. They still wouldn't help me. I called my wife thinking maybe I had gotten confused somehow & she started yelling at me because our daughter-in-law had done this 2 weeks ago & my wife had done it Yesterday there at the Apple store in Temecula at the mall All on MY Apple account! I explained that to the Apple genius & he told me it wasn't possible & he had checked with his manager to confirm. He wouldn't help me & asked if my wife knew the name of the salesperson that helped her. He even told me to come back after I got the phone to get Apple-care because the AT&T insurance isn't very good. Again I told him that's what my wife had done yesterday here at this store and she told me to do the same. But he still wouldn't help me. I've been a long time Apple customer and this experience was SOOO far below what I've come to expect from Apple that I just walked out of the store shaking my head wondering what happened in the 24 hours since my wife was here. Very attentive staff and was greeted right away. Store was super busy but was taken care of and was able to pick up my order quickly and easily. The parking situation is not that great here but overall the shopping area is very cute. I'd recommend shopping / eating first and then going to pick up or purchase your Apple items instead of carrying them around IMO. read more

Went in for a replacement AirPod. Got the AirPod and the genius person basically got the packaging out of the box and handed it to me. She was nice but didn't explain at all how to pair the new AirPod and basically just pointed to the little card with a diagram on it vaguely showing what I need to do. Tried doing that with the little guidance I received and expectedly, didn't work. Went to forums and didn't work. I ended up finding my other AirPod in the meantime and put it back in my case and it worked again and connected all perfectly. Perfect. Went to return the replacement AirPod because it's a $96 piece of plastic that I don't need anymore and suddenly it's not returnable. Completely unused, everything in the packaging untouched (or at least the skeleton of the packaging I received considering I didn't receive any box, just a piece of cardboard with cutouts for the AirPod and ear pad replacements), and literally within 48 hours of purchasing it, to no avail. Also, the genius person I had, mentioned absolutely nothing of this $96 purchase being final sale. I might've tried looking a bit harder for my lost AirPod if I knew I'd be out $100 with an unnecessary piece of plastic sitting in my drawer. Super dissatisfied with this service and the lack of being informed of really anything. read more

I went in with a broken iPhone, and an iPad with a shattered screen. I had been to two other stores (Sprint and Best Buy) and no one could help me. It was always going to be really expensive or really complicated. Well, a third store's a charm! Not only was the manager, that greeted all of us waiting outside, super nice but the store was immaculate. I went to the Genius Bar and Manny took care of me. After trying everything he could, he ended up replacing my phone AND sent in a request for a replacement iPad. He was patient and understanding and KNEW what he was talking about. We had a terrible experience at Best Buy trying to sell our old MacBook Airs. Best Buy quoted us at $60 for two of them, but then also wiped the entire system. We had to take it to apple so they can reinstall it, and they offered $600!! The employee was beyond helpful, offering us student discounts, trade in deals, and more.
