    Hello MacBook Neo!
    Canary H.

Great Apple Store! I had made a pick up order for the MacBook Neo and didn't get a chance to reset my old MacBook Air. I waltzed in and wasn't helped at first, until I started pulling up my pick up order. Two people easily came up to support me. They were able to go to the back to grab my new MacBook and help me reset my computer on the spot. I ended up recycling my old MacBook Air since it's a decade old and had no trade back value. The Apple guy wanted to help me transfer my stuff onto the new MacBook Neo, but I politely declined. They were super helpful and forward with my needs! I like this store! So happy with my new purchase!

This Apply Store is located in the Old Town Pasadena area. It's conveniently near many restaurants and other shops. I came here to inquire about trade-ins and iPads. Most Apple employees were busy assisting other customers. It would have been nice to get instructions on which apps to use the Apple Pro Pen and its non-obvious features or use cases. And when I asked some trade-in questions, the staff member didn't provide answers that seemed confident (I later fact checked and found some of their responses to be wrong). Prices are as listed on the online Apple Store. I have seen iPads for $50 cheaper for the same model on Amazon. On another note, the iPad A16 and iPad Air M3 both caught my eye. Overall, I'd come back here to see/test Apple products that I don't have access to otherwise, as a way to inquire whether I'd invest in an expensive purchase.

We went the day after Christmas and the purchase line on the right side was out to the front of the store. Waited a few minutes since we were near the front of the line and was very appreciative of the service we got from the woman Apple rep. She helped us for an hour in the purchase of a laptop, air buds, keyboard, etc...helpful service ....

    Excellent customer service & support

I love this Apple Store. Been a long time customer, several phones, iPads and Laptops. I've also frequented the Genius Bar several times. Today I came by because I couldn't connect a pair of wired headphones to my phone. (I had bought them earlier today at Best Buy). I thought the problem was with my connection port. Nope, I bought a pair (same price $19) and they worked! I also brought in my Air pod wireless ear buds that weren't connecting. There's a secret, when you press the button on the back, the light on the front has to turn amber... Harland (I think I'm remembering his name correctly... could be wrong), anyway, he was so personable, kind and patient and willing to trouble shoot. I'm very impressed with the staff here. Always a pleasant experience at the Pasadena Apple Store.

Make an appointment. The wait is 2.5 hours on a Sunday. They don't have anyone available to even answer a small question.

She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. First off, NEVER GIVE YOUR LAPTOP PASSWORD TO ANYONE! The actual Apple store would NEVER need this…read moreinfo from you, therefore neither should other "authorized store" I know they're listed as an Apple approved business, but they really shouldn't for various reasons. Background story, my laptop screen stopped working. I have a 13-inch, 2016 MacBook Pro, 2 thunderbolt 3 ports and my display backlight stopped working. This has been listed on Apple's recall service program as of 1/15/2020. My AppleCare has terminated since it's been over 5 years, but on Apple's recall page it clearly states that all recall items have 3 years to get a free repair due to the recall if this is your issue, whichever is longer. Here are some red flags: 1. They told me I was wrong and that recalls don't have this policy, therefore my laptop wouldn't be covered. (Maybe I look like a young female who doesn't know anything, but I do. So I didn't fall for it). They offered to "look into it" if I gave them 7 days to see if I qualified or not -- I said sure. 2. After taking down all of my info they asked for my laptop password aka ACCESS TO EVERYTHING ON MY LAPTOP. Not ONCE does Apple EVERRRRRR ask you for your password to you laptop. DO NOT DO IT. This is how people's information, photos, everything gets leaked. They should be able to do everything without logging in. 3. I was told it would cost $120 for them to try and see what was wrong. Plus the $500ish fee to replace the parts. But $120 to maybe see what was wrong?? (also the family in front of me were not given a diagnostic fee, sooo I'm not sure what their laptop issue was but why is there this disprency). 4. Lastly they were just so rude to me from the moment I got there. When it was my turn to speak with them, they asked why I didn't make an appointment. To which, I let them know I had--it was 20 mins ago because the line was long. But the rudeness is something I can deal with but the others especially red flag #2...those are NOT ok. I digress. I ended up speaking with Apple Support online, asked to mail my laptop to them to have it looked at. They shipped me a box, I sent them my laptop WITHOUT having to give them any passwords, they fixed my recalled laptop for FREE, and I got my laptop back all in less than 7 days. Please be careful with your things.

I resorted to getting quotes from every repair shop out there and I was quoted nearly 2x from Unitek. Some places didn't even have the screen in stock. So of course, I came here and it is a verified Apple Retailer so that game me more comfort. 10 days later, screen is good as new. The only negative is that I called to ask what time they closed so I can pick up my device. I was given a 530pm time so I get there at 515pm and to my surprised they closed at 5pm. Luckily, I waited and waited and someone let me in.

I spent a couple weeks gathering all the components I've been eyeing and made the pilgrimage down to Micro Center (in Tustin) to take advantage of a great MOBO/Proc/RAM bundle. The last time I built a PC was in 2008 and at this point in my life, I just wanted an expert to help me get everything running and optimized. Gar was that expert. This guy knows his stuff and I couldn't be happier with my (first) experience at Helix. He runs the shop by himself and is clearly a lifelong PC enthusiast. It was really cool to see all his customers more 'aesthetic' builds that were in progress. I'm old so I wanted something with as little RGB as possible (haha). He even has a mini museum of PC components from decades past on display which really sent me down a VERY nerdy memory lane. He put together a 9800X3D / 5080 air cooled monster and everything runs perfectly. He optimized Win11 and walked me through everything he did when I picked up the machine. I would consider his shop a unicorn in 2026. Physical location. Passionate business owner who is offering top quality service in a niche industry. Fair prices.

Garnik, the owner, exceeded every expectation. I dropped off my PC at 10 AM and he had it completely diagnosed and fixed by 3:30 PM - same day service when most shops would have kept it for days. But what really impressed me was how Garnik actually took the time to explain everything instead of just doing the work and handing it back. He didn't just slap on new thermal paste and call it done. He properly reapplied the paste, then noticed my fan configuration was all wrong and moved everything to the correct CPU pump headers and fan headers. He walked me through exactly what was causing the thermal problems and how he fixed them, then stress tested the whole system right in front of me so I could see it was running properly. Garnik was super knowledgeable, friendly, and got everything done way faster than I expected. It's honestly rare to find someone who knows their stuff this well and actually takes the time to make sure you understand what's going on with your build. (Serviced 06/23/26 TU @ 4:15pm): This depot was strictly for office business!…read more It's been over a decade since I last visited Office Depot's La Crescenta location, but the timing was perfect because I was in the area for a separate reason. With all of the consolidation in the office supplies industry over the past couple of decades, I think the only ones left standing were Office Depot, Staples, and to a lesser extent FedEx, with companies such as Office Max and Kinko's having been absorbed from competitors. I've been making extended copies at my local Staples, but the costs have continuously gone up as they closed in on a dollar a page on heavy-weight paper which I really didn't need. So, I opted to try the competitor in hopes of saving some money. Was I able to deposit some money back into the bank after using this office store from my printing needs!? PURCHASE(S) 8.5"x11" Double-Sided Color Printouts ($0.70 x130): I needed to print a recent summary inspection report for an investment property we acquired to give to our general contractor as a checklist of things to focus on and repair over time. Although the per-page rate was slightly cheaper than what I've experienced, it wasn't that much different to go somewhat out of my way. The printing quality was fine, the speed was a tad slow, but it got the job done. SERVICE At this time, there were only two employees, and I was the only customer. With no salutations from either of them, I easily headed towards the self-service copy center, checked out the machines, read whatever signage there was as to how the machines worked and payment, and then attempted to make copies. Nope; something went wrong! I tried several times on the same machine to no avail. I went to another copier and finally things were working properly. After about ten minutes, my print job was done, I paid at the machine, I asked a young male salesperson for a bag to put my copies in, and I casually walked out the door. For my needs, all of this was fine, but I sorely hoped this wasn't the norm. PARKING (FREE): They had their own private spacious lot - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A large boxy warehouse store filled wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling and multitudes of aisles stocked with a ton of various office supplies of anything you could imagine. There was plenty of space between the aisles, shelves, and floor displays, with a smattering of promotional ads/posters about. Minimal natural lighting came through the large front windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL La Crescenta's Office Depot served its purpose, but for future office service needs, I'll more than likely return to a Staples closer to me. I didn't find much differentiation between the two brands, I had a few Staples closer to me and where I normally was, and this particular location was simply dreadful in feeling like all life was sucked out of it. I walked around, and I saw nothing (even less!) that I couldn't get at Staples. The printing prices may've been slightly less, but it wasn't worth it. And, the service was mostly non-existent and hidden. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $100.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.0 STARS
