This is my third visit here, to finally bring my iPhone 17 Pro home. It's a few stores from Poke Salad Bar and right next to J.Crew. Parking: there is a parking structure on S. De Lacey Ave. Only $1 for the first two hours and $2 every hour after. That is a steal! I had no idea about it until this visit. All this time I had been parking farther away for a lot more, $10! SMH! Now, the mishap I mentioned in a prior review: my brand new phone had a black screen. I got it just last month and barely used it. I would use it for calls and texts, but for browsing the web or being on apps, I would be on my laptop or my iPhone 16. I did nothing to it. I simply woke up to a black screen. At first I thought it needed a charge, but I heard my alarm going off, phone calls coming in, text notifications beeping, yet I had no clue what happened. The phone was alive inside a dead screen. I ran the whole routine: connected it to my MacBook, charged it with the Apple charger in the outlet, even the quick press and release of the up and down buttons on the left and the 30-second hold on the right one, repeated numerous times. Nothing worked. Before Apple, I went to one of the T-Mobile stores. They took one look and sent me away to Apple. The staff at this Apple Store were very helpful. On my first day, the guys and Lana were really cool and attentive. I left the phone with Lana for two hours, and when I came back she informed me they had tried replacing the screen, but now they had to replace the logic board. So I had to come back another day. My second time, a female staff member checked me in, and Joel asked a few questions to prepare my phone for repair. That visit went smoothly too. Third time was the charm, right? For my phone, yes. For the service, not quite. The people who checked me in were quick and friendly. Then, while I sat at the end table waiting to grab my phone, Jose came out and basically interrogated me. Questioning why the logic board was changed as if I authorized that process. For the record, I was told on my first visit that they replaced the screen only, but it did not work. Then again, why is it his business? I had already explained everything to Lana, and the device was already fixed. Just give me the phone, and call it a night. Oh and don't forget. I asked him to move my number from my Iphone16 to IPhone 17. He first asked if I knew my T-Mobile transfer pin. I said yes. He did the transfer without needing it. Interesting. Then he rushed me out the door while I was waiting for the data to load. He said, "It's 8:01 PM and we closed at 8:00 PM. It should load up fine without WIFI." I looked around, and there were plenty of customers still, their Apple associates didn't rush them out. I took off. What a liar! The transfer completely stopped due to no WiFi! So I ended up with no phone, no WIFI, no GPS! I had to drive home right away to get it all connected before I could do anything else. Anyway, there were more, but I am just going to say minus one star for Jose. Please do not "help" me when I come back. Thank you kindly! I highly recommend making your purchase in store where you are assisted one on one. I ordered online and there was items left missing when I went to pick up in store. And it took an additional 5 days to get everything sorted and get my refund. Another concern, when I was getting assisted in store, other employees kept coming up to the staff member who was ringing me up. And they kept asking him questions as he's ringing me up. These employees need to be handheld by managers and it's rude to me as a customer. Apple products are great but in store staff, from this experience, suck. This review is for the Apple Pasadena Genius Bar, their supervisors, and their manager. My HomePod 2nd generation began playing/pausing music, pausing media, and acting on its own accord. While my HomePod was no longer under standard warranty, I took it to the Genius Bar hoping for an answer. They couldn't reproduce the problem. That is completely understandable. What is not understandable is that they returned my HomePod to me, damaged; I can no longer pair with the HomePod. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Apple Support. They advised me to bring it back to the store where it was damaged. Apple Pasadena offered me 10% off the retail price of a new HomePod... The manager did not want to speak with me. So I left. I wrote emails, now they're not responding. A solvable problem has snowballed into an almost 2-month session of (mostly me) emailing with someone I can only assume is not the manager. This has left a terrible taste in my mouth, and if I decide to continue to purchasing Apple products, it will not be from Apple Pasadena. read more

Great Apple Store! I had made a pick up order for the MacBook Neo and didn't get a chance to reset my old MacBook Air. I waltzed in and wasn't helped at first, until I started pulling up my pick up order. Two people easily came up to support me. They were able to go to the back to grab my new MacBook and help me reset my computer on the spot. I ended up recycling my old MacBook Air since it's a decade old and had no trade back value. The Apple guy wanted to help me transfer my stuff onto the new MacBook Neo, but I politely declined. They were super helpful and forward with my needs! I like this store! This Apply Store is located in the Old Town Pasadena area. It's conveniently near many restaurants and other shops. I came here to inquire about trade-ins and iPads. Most Apple employees were busy assisting other customers. It would have been nice to get instructions on which apps to use the Apple Pro Pen and its non-obvious features or use cases. And when I asked some trade-in questions, the staff member didn't provide answers that seemed confident (I later fact checked and found some of their responses to be wrong). Prices are as listed on the online Apple Store. I have seen iPads for $50 cheaper for the same model on Amazon. On another note, the iPad A16 and iPad Air M3 both caught my eye. Overall, I'd come back here to see/test Apple products that I don't have access to otherwise, as a way to inquire whether I'd invest in an expensive purchase. read more

I arrived a little early, waited a bit, checked in and met with a technician. Ran some diagnostics, explained the process, and took the phone. Went for walk, had some lunch, and returned. Ultimately they did what they said they would do, the price was exactly what I was quoted, and the phone was ready at exactly the time I was told to pick it up. First of all I don't think I've ever had an appointment and I'm usually helped within minutes.... they always have a simple solution to whatever my issue or goal is. Everyone is super friendly and efficient. I had to tackle a repair for the first time and ever using my AppleCare and it was resolved much quicker than anticipated. My sister and her husband made an appointment at this store to purchase two new iPad Pros and upgrade to the newest iPhones. When they arrived, it was unclear where they were supposed to check in, so they asked an associate for assistance. That employee then approached three different associates and asked if they could help. Each associate looked at my sister and her husband and declined. Whether intentional or not, it certainly gave the impression that two senior citizens were not considered worth the time or effort. A manager eventually came over and informed them that no one would be available to help for another 15-30 minutes. That raises an obvious question: Why offer appointments if customers are not going to be assisted when they arrive precisely at the appointment time? They walked in prepared to spend thousands of dollars and were treated as an inconvenience. I've received better customer service at the DMV. Based on this experience, I would recommend purchasing online and avoiding the frustration. read more

I love this Apple Store. Been a long time customer, several phones, iPads and Laptops. I've also frequented the Genius Bar several times. Today I came by because I couldn't connect a pair of wired headphones to my phone. (I had bought them earlier today at Best Buy). I thought the problem was with my connection port. Nope, I bought a pair (same price $19) and they worked! I also brought in my Air pod wireless ear buds that weren't connecting. There's a secret, when you press the button on the back, the light on the front has to turn amber... Harland (I think I'm remembering his name correctly... could be wrong), anyway, he was so personable,kind and patient and willing to trouble shoot. I'm very impressed with the staff here. The staff is fabulous The store policies should be investigated and charged for fruad. I brought in a crack screen. i was told: 1. they will NOT fix the screen - cause the antenna was damaged 2. i could turn in my phone . pay $650 for a refurb phone that qualified for apple care (seperate on going charge) I declined i took to iphone to local mall had it fixed for $150. they inspected the devised and advised the antenna was fine (and the apple employee mis- indicated where the antenna was. ) Once again, the staff at this store lihas an issue with veracity in the nicest way possible. (maybe they did not lie/as much as they are miss informed by management. and simple repeating lies) I stongely suggest you get a second opinion if your trying to get a repair done. And be ready to wait an unreasonable amount of time for service at this location. And there is no public restroom at this location (there is star bucks down the street) read more

Needed to replace battery on my phone. Have an appt with this Apple store & was seen within 15 min. Tech got me through the process & said I needed icloud storage before changing battery. He made me buy 2TB for $9.99 when all I needed was less than 2GB which was only $2.99 I didn't know any better at the time & just did as I was told. He also told me that he needed to order a part and when they receive it, I'll get notified & I can go to store and leave the phone in the morning & pick up in a few hours. I asked if I need an appt for that... he said no, since it's just a drop off Well... I went in today, without an appointment, right when the store opened... waited 10 min to be seated at a desk and another 35 min to be seen by a technician... and another 10 min for the technician to get the battery from storage. Technician did some things on my phone which took less than 10 min and told me to return in an hour or so. I returned 3 hours later... waited another 15 min just to pick up my phone. I find this whole process to be tedious & inefficient. And the first tech on my first visit giving me false information is inexcusable. read more

Brought my phone in for repair. Service was fine, but in doing the repair they put a nick in the case of the phone. I expected better of Apple. I asked what they were going to do about having damaged my case and they gave me a lousy 20% off for damaging my phone. I asked the manager for a more substantial discount and he said he "couldn't" go any higher, and didn't seem to care a whit about his team damaging a customer's phone. This store sucks!! I was given a 3 hour wait time to see why my desktop will not turn on. You only have 10 minutes to appear for your appointment, with this said you have to stay close. There is no free parking in old town Pasadena. When I came back to check in now Apple tacked in more waiting time without notice. It's called take your money and run. I went to the store the other day, ready to drop 1,800 on an iMac with the realization that they may need to order it, but wa shiping they had one in stock. To order it online through Apple was a three-week delay, which is absurd. All of the store employees seemed to be in the rear working on peopel phones. Peopel were standing at the fronttables awting for assitance with iPads, phones, etc. No one was there. I waited for 26 minutes, and not a single employee offered to see what I needed. When I was able to finally catch the attention of an employee, he said it was not his area and would find someone. No one ever came to assist. This is the only Apple store I've ever been in. I got a new battery for an old phone. I made the appointment online and showed up at the arranged time. I was helped relatively quickly, even though the store is jam-packed with people on a regular weekday. The people that helped me, the genius squad, or whatever they are called, were nice. It's very disorganized. If you have an appointment, you have to chase an employee down and or interrupt other appointments to get checked in. They treat you like you're a nuisance and they'd rather be doing anything but helping you. I had made an appointment for a battery replacement. I planned my day around waiting for my phone for a few hours. But when I get to the appointment, they don't even have the part. It's completely disrespectful of people's time. Now I have to make another trip out to Pasadena and plan another day around this task. They do not allow you to buy anything "off the shelf". I mostly visit for service of my equipment. However I do occasionally purchase new products. I always have received the best customer service at this location. I've been to many other locations and there are times workers look like they don't want to be there nor help out with small problems. Of course the size of the store has a great selection of Apple and after market items. Don't forget your government / education discount. This had to have been the worse experience in customer service I've ever received. I first go in on Tuesday with an appointment and have to wait until a team member is able to assist me despite the appointment time. I discuss how my cellular and WiFi services were no longer working and after running diagnostics it states that i need to go to the Apple Store for help. I come to terms learning that I am going to lose the memories on my phone because despite buying 2Tb of iCloud storage and the 1Tb phone that cost a ridiculous amount due to the faulty parts they sold the phone with, it did not want to backup. Thankfully I had Apple care cause it would have cost $600 despite it being Apple's faulty parts. I had no damage to my device and I would have still paid. Then I'm told they don't have the parts in store and I'd have to wait 3-5 days before it comes in. I use my phone for work to provide support to my team and to contact all the people I serve in a day to day basis. Their only options are to wait, but a new phone and use it and then return it or do a claim with Apple care but it will place a hold on my bank account for $1600 until they receive my "broken" phone. I felt so defeated and all I received was an "I'm sorry, next time back up your device when you can." I then gave my partner's phone number because they realized there was no way I would be notified that the parts came in. They call my partner while at work and when my partner returns the call twice, they were left on hold for 6 minutes both times and hung up on. I then spent and wasted my entire Saturday arriving near 1pm letting them know I'm here to fix my phone. I'm told it will not be ready until 5pm to return at that time. In both separate interactions I was told they are ONLY removing the middle portion of the phone to replace the ENTIRE interior. I then try to be positive and go walking around the stores nearby, having lunch etc. up until exactly 5pm. I enter the store right at 5pm as they instructed and they proceed to tell me "i need to wait 5 more minutes it's not done." I'm then left to wait an additional 15 minutes until a team member comes and shows my phone screen saver was removed. I told her I was told by the other two team members that it wasn't going to be removed and she says "sorry it's highly likely that they remove it." I let her know I purchased the screen protector through them how would I get a replacement since I'm already there. She says I need the box it came in and to file a claim and send pictures that it was already "damaged" and they will ship a new one in 3-5 days if not we have them for $45. It felt like I was purposefully being lied to on multiple occasions in order for them to prophet from this exchange. They didn't even complete the set up of my phone nor did they attempt. When I received it I informed the team member that my phone service will be a password not a pin. She then asks for a pin which I just stated I can't provide. Instead of looking to fellow staff to help she just says "sorry there's a T-Mobile store down the street that can help you turn your phone on." I just grabbed my phone and left. They also had the audacity to talk badly about its other locations saying their members are not as "skilled" or "trained." They kept placing it at the Cerritos location. Overall I still needed my service working and thankfully when I went to T-Mobile they said they could've helped me more and was able to turn my service on in 5 minutes. I went over a week without any communication for my work, my personal life etc due to their faulty product and the members there were sadly not skilled or trained properly on empathizing with their customers. If your phone starts showing that the cellular losing service for two minutes every once and awhile. They said go to the store cause "maybe they could have helped me more." Which is what I was told. Overall, just a god awful experience and I will never go to that store for help. read more

No free parking. Signed up online to "get in line" ....showed up when I was told to, waited & waited. Kept extending my paid parking. It was so simple what I needed. My daughter had given me an iPad she wasn't using. She couldn't remember the passcode. Eventually told they would need written authorization from original purchaser. It's her dad (myX Husband) who related out of the country. he gave it to her when she was 16. She's 25. She's been no contact with him since she was 18. The whole time I was there I kept saying I need to get into my iPad and they kept saying no problem will be right with you.... After waiting 2 1/2 hours, that's the outcome. read more

Apple Pasadena is my go to store for all Apple products. Visited last night just to browse and was greeted by the floor manager Joseph, his associate Nisa. They were so pleasant and willing to show us new devices though currently not in need of any. Also, Michael at the Genius Bar provided us with great customer service explaining how to address some issues with our current phone devices. In contrast, I also shopped at a jewelry store across from this store and the sales associate, although busy with a customer did all she could do to ignore us. I bought an apple 16 recently 5/6/2026 with bad experience. The guy provided good service to one customer. When it was my turn, he changed put me on wait again and again doing other things for other customers. Then I did not expect the new phone does not include an adapter for charge cord, I have to buy one separately, and nobody told me. Now apple is money first. read more

This review is about BRIAN, "the store manager": Who went ABOVE & BEYOND...to be a jerk to me. I went in today to pick up an order, 5th MAC for the year btw, and the last 3 times, I was assisted by very polite people and helped in doing a quick in-store return on the standard, then on the spot purchasing the one with the 10 key, and I'd pay the difference. Takes 5-10 mins tops. I was about to be helped a nice young man, who was aware of this quick process. When out of nowhere, Brian, "the store manager", stepped in and decided "HIS STORE" WAS NOT going to do that for me. When I asked why, his words were, "we've done it for you before, and we're just not going to be able accommodate again". So we got into a back and forth for about 5-10 minutes. Usually, clients that purchase more products from any store, are treated as preferred customers. These clients are treated a little nicer and afforded some "above and beyond" type customer care. Thats not the case with Brian. He's just all about bad customer experience. He did suggest a work around: to do it online and wait for it. I told him that wasn't an option because I really need it for tomorrow morning, but again he just said no. When I said, "I'm paying for it and not asking for a freebie, I'm a Customer". He simply replied condescendingly, "well I'm THE MANAGER and we're not going to accommodate". Of course, I lost my cool and told him he has power tripping And that he was just flexing his.. As expected, he didn't care. I stopped the argument by turning to the nice young man that had been helping me and told him I'd just buy the keyboard, another $130+ and they could keep the non 10key that comes in the box. He was shook because unfortunately for him, he was standing there awkwardly witnessing the whole thing, I felt bad for the kid. I paid for the separate keyboard, with the 10key, was the kid was courteous enough to take the other one out the box for me. When he asked what I wanted him to do with it, I asked him to recycle it or whatever. Brian: whoever promoted you, needs to train you, because you do not understand what customer relationships are. I received defective apple AirPods Pro 3's online and was instructed to go to the Genius Bar for a solution. The Genius Bar of the Pasadena, CA location sent the AirPods out for repair and did not instruct me to remove the ear tips. I received the repaired product today without ear tips. Apple's policies are completely broken and they can't send them to me online. I've been trying to call this store to see if they'll fix the problem they created and they won't pick up the phone. I can actually say this from my experience, they must changed the management from my last visits. Service was improved 100%. Everyone there was very helpful and attentive. My dog jumped on me while I was on the phone, he did that to get my attention and there was a huge crack on my display screen. I made an appointment and I went to the store to get it fixed. Check in was easy. I forgot my password due to my own fault, so it took me a while to reset it. Even that process, the guy helped me was very patient and helpful. Then I dropped off my phone and came back to pick up my phone. Even the second time around, everyone was very helpful. Parking can be challenging, but I scored the one right in front of the store. I was there to replace my MacBook battery, waited a week got a voice message said it's ready for pick up just bring my ID. Walked in greeted by the employee as usual, she took my name and instructed me follow the wall and walk to the back , grab a chair some one will bring my MacBook out So I did seat there for 10 min no one came . I can see many employees walk past me and some just checking their "iPad?" . So I walked to the back bar table and told them I waited there no one came . The lady checked and said the first person didnt check me in. So now she has to re check me in And told me go back to my chair and someone will come Another 10 minutes passed aril no one. So I walked up to a manager(?) and told him I waited long time just want to pick up my MacBook. So he walk to someone and ask her to grab my MacBook out for me As soon as she bring my MacBook out , only took me 3 minutes to check and pay for the replacement.
