The guy(older man) took about 2 hours to put my acrylics on and it seemed like he had no idea what he was doing, the shape is absolutely horrible and he also made me bleed on 2 different fingers... so bad he had to wipe it with a wash cloth and paper towel. He made me pay before he painted my nails and obviously i didn't tip so he did one quick coat of polish and told me to go sit to let them dry. didn't even carry my bag or purse over for me. would not recommend going to him at all. read more

I love Apple nails. I moved from CA last year & this is the first nail salon I tried in Buffalo. I haven't really tried any other. I can't find another will ALL AROUND fantastic service. The people & the services are AMAZING. Best pedicures I have ever got in my life. Great work for dip powder, acrylics, & gel manicure. Each service comes with some sort of a quick easy massage. While I was there, I noticed that they give you a complimentary shoulder/back massage while your hands are in the lotioned gloves and then they give you a hand massage after they take the gloves off. I've not once had a nick or a burn from grinding. I typically get acrylic nails with gel color and gel on my toenails after a pedicure, and the price for a fill, color, and pedi with 4 nail designs (ring fingers and big toes) is $85. This is a popular place, always busy. I've been here quite a few times now. Very friendly and very reasonable. I go once a week for just a polish change (which also include filing/shaping) for $7. Once a month I get a classic manicure for $15. I get a pedicure with the manicure once a month during the warm months and it's $25 for the pedicure for a total of $40 with the manicure. Good deals. Where do I start?! My sister and I have been talking about coming to Apple Nails for about 2 years but, we never got around to it... Until today that I desperately needed a fill and my regular nail lady was MIA. I went in with the intention of getting a regular fill but, ended up having to get my set removed and get a full set. I felt terrible because the poor guy (Vinny) was going through much more than I'm sure he was anticipating. He was amazing! Removed my set and did a full set in no time! I will definitely be coming back. Now... To my OTHER Apple Nails experience. While Vinny was working on my nails, I was next to a client who was very picky (which is 100% okay). She has two nail techs working on polishing her nails, she was VERY specific about what she wanted and how. She ended up talking to who I think is the owner... Almost yelling because it was not what she wanted. The owner was very nice, telling her not to worry and they changed her design (apparently she wanted gray instead of the bright purple she had originally chose). They were very polite to her and didn't charge her anything for the polish change. I felt it was necessary to add that because I see people on here saying they get yelled at or kicked out because they complain, and that was not what I witnessed today by any means. The first time I came to this nail salon, I liked the work that was done. Very simple and clean manicure. Nothing extra. The place is clean, they are very welcoming, it's nice. Because the first time was pleasant, I decided to come back again. The second time, my nails were poorly done. I asked if the little design I wanted (a single white ghost on a black nail) could be done and they confidently said yes. When it was done, it was pretty terrible. I got them done and then literally two hours after I left, my top coat came off almost all of my nails. I called and they told me to of course come in and they'd fix it. They re did the ghost and top coat and it was slightly better but only lasted about 4 days and now my nails are in shambles and I've only had them done for a week. I was pretty disappointed with the quality of work with the amount of money I was charged. I want to give another nail tech another chance at the same location but I really do not want to waste my money if it's going to be a similar situation. Well, my experience was okay. I went for a gel manicure , and the manicure was great, but the polish didn't last. My color was black, and even with two coats you could see through some parts. Should've been thicker. With that being said , it was so thin and it started to peel from the front and the back within a week or so. Should have lasted longer than that! I had a pedicure two weeks ago before going on a cruise. The male who did my pedicure was very nice, and at the time, i thought he did a wonderful job.. After my pedicure, he had me wait for about a half hour for my nails to dry, then checked my nails and said they were dry.. I asked if I could put my socks on, as it was a very cold day. He said sure. 3 hours later, when I got home, I was about to show my husband my beautiful pedicure... But unfortunately, my socks were stuck to my toenails and I had to rip them off! They were a complete mess. I returned to the salon the next day and showed them my nails. A young girl took care of me this time. 6 of my nails had sock imprints on them. She just polished over them. My big toes were a mess.and she removed the polish on one of them completely, but the other toe had a huge clump of polish from top to bottom on it, that she poilshed right over! She sent me to a dryer for over 45 minutes., and did not come back to check on me. Finally, the elderly lady t that works, or owns the place, came and told me I was ok to leave now. I took my feet out from under the dryer and asked her to please take a look at my nails and the big lump of polish on my big toe nail. She said, "You have a bad toe nail." I explained to her that there is nothing wrong with my nail and that it is from the old polish the girl did not completely remove., and polished over. Obviously, there was a huge communication problem with her not understanding english., because she said ok, done now. I told her I was very dissatisfied with their service and would not be returning. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon to anyone who wants a good pedicure. If I could figure out how to post a picture of my toes, I would, as I do have photos of them. read more

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews. However after being there I question whether the reviews are valid. I was there about a week and a half ago. Had my nails done by the first lady that sits on the right. While doing my nails she nicked my fingers 5 times with the drill!!! I have had nails on for 22 years now and this is the first time I get nicked these many times. After 10 days all my nails are lifting. Even though she put primer down I don't think they use good primer. In addition my French manicure looks like a rookie did it. It is awful. Sorry but I cannot recommend this salon to anybody. Well I was there two other ladies came in complaining that their nails were lifting too. The owner of the salon was giving them a hard time about repairing them. Trang (who was the best). And all others are GONE! you walk in and they rush you back with no explanation. I called and booked a paraffin pedicure appointment with Trang. They said we have new owner. Nothing about Trang no longer works here! Then suddenly the language barrier became an issue and no one could explain what was going on.. (man who I think is owner. Said they were from Boston, Ma.and just took over last week). Left me with non English speaking women to finish my pedicure, so I couldn't ask where the other people are). UPDATE! Trang and most of staff are in salon at Boulevard Mall. Near Dicks Sports. Name is ELEGANT NAILS & SPA! They were nice, but every customer in there has same dumbfounded look as they sat down. ( especially regulars). They have totally different services and more expensive. It was just ok and they wrap your legs in Saran Wrap with hot towel. Very strange and nothing great. They timed the massage ( if you had more expensive service). And of course they push the higher costing pedicure. No more paraffin wax. I know nothing about nail services. Super disappointed. Based on other reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. I am so happy that I did! Seriously, until now, I didn't realize how good of a mani/pedi I *should* be getting. From the moment I walked in, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They were caring, attentive, and made sure that every minute of my stay was enjoyable. I stopped in early in the day hoping to avoid a wait. I was told 15-20 minutes, which was about right. They had a lot of staff on hand, but it just so happened to be a weekend with gorgeous summer weather. (Prime time to get your nails done, folks!). Once I was settled in for my pedi, I was offered a beverage, and the staff even made small talk, stopping by occasionally to be sure that everything was okay. (This was during the "soak" stage so no one really needed to be sitting with me.) Both my pedicure and manicure were amazing. There was no pressure to upgrade to things such as gel polish or a bigger package. They showed me a menu, asked which I'd like and went to business. It was awesome. The woman who did my nails was very sweet. (I am sad that I can't remember her name.) She paid attention to every detail and when my pedicure ended, my feet were as soft as a newborn baby. The manicure was just as delightful. I am a fan of Apple Nails and can't wait to return. Every customer I talked to in the place said they have been coming for 2-3 years and absolutely loved every experience. This salon gives you the best bang for your buck! I have been here a couple of times for pedicures so my review is based off of that. To start, the staff is extremely accommodating and attentive. You are offered a refreshment of your choosing as you sit in the massaging chair. There is no waiting around in confusion, they make sure you are comfortable and happy. There are 3 pedicure packages to choose from, ranging from $30-$40. I chose the package that included the paraffin bath. It was amazing!! I'm very happy with the results. All the different lotions, oils and scrubbing techniques left my feet and calves smooth and ready for spring! read more

Looking for a nail place in the area and saw all the great reviews so decided to try it out! I'm so glad I did! It's nice and cozy inside and everyone is friendly. The options for pedicures are great! Normally I'd just get the standard pedicure but for my friends birthday we upgraded to the jello pedicure, yep JELLO. a little wierd but felt awesome. Between that, the massage chairs and paraffin wax.. we didn't want to leave! I'd definitely recommend this place for a pedicure. I got gel nails too. Efficient and look great! My friend recommended this place. I didn't have high expectations because I'm always used to low quality pedicures (even when i pay for deluxe at a high price) and always end up feeling jipped especially on massage. I own a business and never do things for myself, I'm so happy i finally treated myself. I got the relax spa pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure exceeded all of my expectations. Beatrice took care of me and she was great. They used a nice scrub and leg mask then they wrapped a hot towel on your legs and wrapped it with cling wrap to ensure the towel stayed warm. While removing calluses they use some sort of block so you don't have to hold your leg up while they scrub your dead skin off. I had bad calluses and they didn't use one of those skin graters that are illegal in wny. They use disposable foot scrubbers and Beatrice ensured all of my calluses were removed. I'm super impressed! The massage was great, they use hot stones and actually time your massage to ensure you're getting your moneys worth! They have found a new lifetime costumer. I love this place! read more

We had a strange experience here... the setting is beautiful, nicer than most in WNY. The staff seemed professional, their chairs were nice, and you could tell they take sanitation very seriously. Here's where is gets weird... the guy doing my toes was completing the callus removal process when he started "filing", for lack of a better term, THE TOP OF MY BIG TOE! I yelled "ouch" and next thing you know there was blood everywhere. Worst part of all- he started touching the cut with his bare hands! From there on, I couldn't enjoy my $45 pedicure any further because one, my toe hurt, and two, I was worried about it getting infected! Also odd, when we got there they asked what we would like and I stated "2 pedicured and a gel manicure." Not once did anyone ever ask me about my manicure so I just didn't get one... their loss I suppose. One nice added touch they do offer is a shoulder massage while you're waiting for your nails to dry. As we were paying, they did give me a $10 gift certificate for a future visit, I just don't know if I'll ever be back..? read more

Yelp did me right again. This is the best of both worlds in a nail salon! Beautiful interior with a relaxing vibe - spacious, well decorated, clean and neat... and the right price! Usually for the quality of service and "ambiance" you get at Apple Nails you end up paying the big bucks at a spa. The owner was engaged and friendly and the employees were the same.
