Got here to let the GF and daughter look & feel good after this blasted hurricane... welcomed right away however no seating so they get us to sit in the back they turn the water on after 45 minutes I'm getting annoyed. Feet start to prune after an hour they pass my 11 year old and my GF to start on me?!? I explain that they always go first and I pack up and walk out while they FINALLY get started. I would never recommend this place. A hole was literally drilled into my real toenail and she gone say it's okay he paint over. Like no, that is not ok sis. terrible paint job. Instead fixing the messed up polish she told the guy who did my nails to paint over it with a clear coat that was cloudy and bubbly. My big toe now looks like a round circle because of it. I don't know if I'll be going back here. It seemed that as soon as the girl knew I was only there for a pedicure, she rushed me out of the chair. Sorry I barely have any eyebrows and I bite my fingernails. She didn't even put on a top coat. I didn't realize it until later that day. They talk about you in their language so I don't know if someone else was telling her to move me along. I went back there because they took such good care of my 85 year old mother when I brought her there. Well, they had their second chance. If I wanted polish outside of my toenails, I'd do my own pedicure. You shouldn't have to inspect your pedi before you leave the shop. read more

These girls seemed bored when we came in and with a little encouragement, we had these girls laughing and having some fun on a Thursday. Kim is the go to girl for nails and Hannah is not so bad herself. I think Tina is the waxing specialist. Regardless, go in and get to know them. And ask for a glass of wine! Why Be So Asinine???? Accosting dark spirits are ALL in this Owner/Manager. Seems angry all the time and very rude. Poor personality or very bias. Lost one of their best technicians (Van) from my understanding due to the evil owner/ manager. Selected my color and got two different colors! Wow.. Had to debate for a lengthy time as to the difference in the colors. Hello, ladies, use your eyes! Finally, they informed me, as the mean manager came over, that one color was regular and the other color was shellac. Yelling and performing irrational, speaking only to each other. I was new to Houston and I was looking for a good nail tech. Whenever I saw ladies with nice nails I would ask where they got them done. So I saw a girl at the gas station whose nails were so cute but square shaped. I asked her who did them and she said Larry at Apple Nails. I was a little nervous at first because I wear almond shaped, long nails that need to be a little on the thicker side (and not everyone that claims to do them can). But I thought I'd give it a try because it's right around the corner from the best friend's house and I hadn't had much luck yet. OMG... I'm so glad I decided to go. I've been going to probably 4 months or so now and I will not go to anyone else. My nails are pretty much perfect every single time I go! I get so many compliments on my nails! It's never an issue if I end up changing my mind, messing something up, etc.( I always seem to have nail drama). Another thing I love about Larry that's super important to me, he listens! I loved this place when I first started coming but seems like now they're kind of starting to fall off. As far as the place it's really nice and classy but their nail technicians somewhat suck now. I got a refill and shellac and a basic pedicure. I gave four stars because I was cut on both big toes. I want to say this is because she was rushing. It was a little busy. Susan did my pedicure and Tammy did my nails. The other reason for the 4 stars is that I was not offered any refreshment which I have been in the past. But honestly other then these two things, it really was a great experience. Tammy really listened to what I wanted and gave honest recommendations. I drive from Cypress to this place. I prefer this over all the nail salons on Barker Cypress and Fry. They are clean and friendly. Inside is always freshly decorated. Usually have HGTV playing on one of the many screens. Ask for Tracy. She gives back massages while your nails dry for only $5-$10 extra. Shes the only one that does that though.Their prices cant be beat. I usually get out with a shellac manicure and pedicure at $55 before tip. And thats not a basic pedicure....thats the ultimate with sea salt and volcanic ash scrubs/masks. The secret to why this is THE place for mani/pedi...attention and consistency. They get ALL the dead cuticle away ftom the nail. Each technician seems to be trained the same way. I will only go somewhere else if this place closes. Id rather glop nail polish on at home....than get service of lesser quality than Apple Nails. read more

Reposting this review from 2 years ago b/c it seems to have been deleted and every customer has a right to know what kind of people are running this business before choosing to support. I've been a long time customer here for many years. I've sent so many of my friends and family here over time but I will no longer be doing so. In December my mom made the regrettable decision to get lash extensions at this place. Shortly after her eyes were inflamed, the lashes were so terribly placed that they gave her an eye infection. She returned the next 24 hours to get a removal , not only did they show absolutely no concern for her eyes but they asked her to return for a removal some other time bc they were "too busy". I was outraged. We went to a hospital and had a professional remove them. The tech told my mom that the glue they used on her was harmful and had she waited one more day she'd have severe damage to her eyes. Well I was pissed but my mom is such a patient person she told me once again, to "leave it to God" and "stop looking for problems" bla bla bla. Well I let it go, a few months later we started returning there for nail services b/c the location was convenient and my mom doesn't like to hold grudges. Little did I know my sister had reviewed them on Yelp complaining about the lash situation. She's a Yelper, what can I say? Any who, fast forward to today. My sister, mom and I go in for nail services and some lady who I had never seen before came to question us about the Yelp review and why if we had an issue had we not brought it up to her attention. I told her as calmly as I could that we did return and that not only did she refuse a removal, she was unapologetic and didn't offer as much as a complimentary service as compensation. I even spoke to the same lady who refused to help my mom and told her to her face what I told her manager. The lady told us that her boss did not want us to continue being customers here bc we "start problems". Lmao. I gave them a piece of my mind and walked out. I'm telling you all now if you want lash extensions stay the hell away from this place. *********What I think is incredibly funny is that they knew exactly who it was that had posted the YELP review right when we walked in MONTHS LATER - so that means the lady remembers turning my mom down when she returned to ask for help b/c her eyelashes were killing her. How many places do you know are able to pin point exactly who left their review?!***************** ALSOOOOO if you're getting a pedicure here make sure you demand they sanitize their equipment bc i can promise you I've had to force them to do it every single time :-) read more

I asked for a rose gold chrome nails, provide them a picture and they did not get it right. This is the second time I have asked for this and the second time they have messed it up. The first time they laid a hot pink base and put silver glitter power over it. It was cute but not what I asked for. Again I asked for the same thing used one of the nail swatches and also provided them a picture, again they were going to use the hot pink base and silver powder. I advised them that is not what I am asking that is the same color they used last time. So one of the nail tech came over and tried to explain to me that it is correct, and decided to show me on one nail. Once I placed my nail next to the sample and then next to the picture and told her those were not the same she walked off screaming in a different language and then all of the other techs in the salon started laughing. I asked her was there a problem and she never came back. I then advised my nail tech that she would need to use a reddish orange color. The same rude lady came back with a bright orange peachy color and gold glitter powder. At this point I was done arguing with them so I just let them do what they wanted to do. I ended up with orange nails with a gold tent on them and was charged $40 (was just a refill and messed up chrome polish). Now the tech who did my nails was very nice but if you want to get something done to your nails where the tech would need to take a class to learn how to do don't waste ur time going here. Been here a few times. Some experiences were ok, others were great. Just like any salon or nail salon it really depends on who is doing the work. I will say it's one of the cleanest places I've been to. They put a plastic looking bag in the pedicure sink so you're not putting your feet in a bowl that a hundred other feet have been in...which I love. Customer Service is always great. Tina is my lady here. She shows great attention to detail. Good place to go if you're in a hurry and not to mention the prices are decent. Would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I am so pleased I decided to give this place a try. I called and asked questions about their pedicures prior to going. The girl I spoke with on the phone was very courteous, kind, and knowledgeable. When I arrived I was taken care of immediately. Susan, my nail technician, was very nice. She was focused on keeping me happy and comfortable. She also explained what she was doing and why, I appreciated this. Especially since it was my first time here. Very attentive. I opted for the ultimate pedicure. At $40 it included a mask, warm towel wraps, parrafin wax, and a hot stone massage. Soooo relaxing. She did a terrific job. I also got my eyebrows waxed by the guy that works there, not sure of his name but he did a excellent job with that too. I will definitely be returning here! I forgot to mention it's pretty nice and very clean. I will come here only for pedicures and eyebrows. Update. Not a good place to have shellac done. The job is not as neat and isn't properly done according to CND specifications. My nails were ruined when removed, which shouldn't happen. read more

I stopped here today because I saw that they had a sign that said spa pedicure and color shellac $15 each. It's close to my job. When I went to pay my total was $40. They didn't honor the shellac price above the door. My manicure and pedicure were not that great. My cuticles were not clipped properly on the manicure and my feet are a little rough. I was very displeased with my visit, however they normally do a decent job. I prefer Tiffany to do my nails. One of the nail techs told me that it would only be a few minutes before I get seated..it turned out to be at least 20. I asked for a refill and one nail fix for a white tip powder. She attempted to do it, but failed horribly. I got frustrated because she told me I now had to wait for the original nail tech, Tiffany, to come do it. After 2 hours, I'm finally serviced. When I get to the register to pay, I was quoted a totally different amount than originally told smh. This was my last time spending my cash at this place. read more

A lady who was not satisfied with her shellac was verbally attacked by all the workers there because she refused to pay full price which is understandable; if I did not like something I would expect the same.
