I had an extremely disappointing experience with Apple Honda in Riverhead. The complete lack of customer service and apathy towards their customers is beyond belief. After purchasing a car from them, it was as if they couldn't care less about their responsibilities. The issue I encountered was with the key to the car. It malfunctioned it would not open the car; you would think It would work without the battery if you stuck it in the door and turn it... but it wouldn't! It's the weird thing, I was stranded in the middle of nowhere and walked a long distance to get to Apple Honda which makes sense they would help a prior buyer, and I reached out to the sales representative for assistance. To my dismay, they completely disregarded my concern and suggested I come back the next day to deal with the service department. Their dismissive attitude was astonishing. What was even more infuriating was the sales representative's assumption that I was trying to exploit them for something "free." With a snarky smile, he remarked, "The register is locked, and we can't just give you a new battery for your key; it's not free." This response was not only condescending but also displayed a complete lack of empathy or willingness to help a customer facing an issue with a product they had purchased from them. To add insult to injury, the sales representative went so far as to suggest I walk approximately 2 miles to Walmart and try my luck there. It was clear that their intention was not to assist me but rather to brush me off and avoid any responsibility for a product they had sold. The final straw came when I decided to seek help from a neighboring dealership, which happened to be more accommodating and customer-oriented. They promptly replaced the battery in my Honda car key without requiring me to explain the frustrating encounter I had just experienced at Apple Honda. This contrast in service left me dumbfounded. My experience with Apple Honda in Riverhead was an absolute nightmare. The complete disregard for customer satisfaction, the dismissive attitude, and the unwillingness to stand behind their product left me with a sour taste in my mouth. A few months ago I had a car accident and was in need of a new car fast due to my insurance not covering the total cost of a rental car. I saw on the Apple Honda in Riverhead website a car that I liked. I then went to Apple Honda to talk to someone about the car. When I was there I was assisted by Don Brunner. He began to go over the car with me and he was able to answer every question that I had about the car. After taking the car for a test drive I realized that this was the care that I wanted. I then decided to put down a deposit on the car and I asked to finance the car. The next day Don Brunner was able to fit me into his schedule and had everything ready for me. At this time Don introduced me to John P. Bracken who works in the finance department. He too had all the paper work ready for me and was able to get me a lower monthly payment then expected. He also went over the cost of every thing including fees, plates, registration, warranty's and so on. There were no hidden costs involved and I was told everything up front even though I was a first time car buyer with financing they did not take advantage of me. While I was finishing the paper work Don himself went outside to put my plates on and give the car a final cleaning and pamper so to say. I was amazed by how fast and true to there word this dealership really was. In all I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new or used car. They will not try and talk you into a car you cant afford or don't need. They put me first and helped me get the car that I wanted and that i could afford. Anyone who reviews this place and gives it a low rating due to customer service not being professional or friendly in my book never went to this dealership. I would like to take a moment to share the wonderful experience I had at Apple Honda of Riverhead. I purchased my Honda Accord, which I love more and more each day. I couldn't be happier with this vehicle. The gentleman who helped me throughout the process was, Don Brunner. You walk into a dealership and you see sales people. I walk into this dealership now, and I see a friend. This man brings honor and pride to the profession of sales. The way it should be. He, from the first moment, was genuinely interested in my needs for myself and my family. Large purchases like this can be scary for me. Working with Don made me feel comfortable during a process that would ordinarily make me nervous. It was like working with a family member. After the purchase, he followed up with me frequently, long after I had completed the survey. Ordinarily, you would expect any concern of a salesman to come to a screeching halt after commissions and surveys were completed. I had problems setting up my Bluetooth with my phone, he kept working with me, despite my busy schedule (I didn't make it easy for him), until the job was done. Again, long after I could have done anything for him. This is why I wanted to take a moment to post this review. When people are genuine, and do things solely from the goodness of their hearts, I believe we need to pay it forward. This man, was wonderful towards me and I hope that after reading this, you will go find him and let him help you with the best vehicle for your family. A couple wanted to buy a car, my mother was just with them, they didn't qualify to purchase the car so they sold them a car using my mothers information! Yes, this happened! Unprofessional team, not only they provided false wrong information to my mother and the couple, who thinks they own the car and they are building credit, the management team stated that regardless of what they were told when purchasing the car, now the car belongs to her because she signed the documents and they would not take the car back the next day of this terrible incident. Management being aware of how unethical his sales rep JOSE was during the sale, they continue to protect him and now, we are stuck with a $30+K car and my mother was convinced that she was NOT FINANCIALLY responsible in any way for the car, even thou is her name on the documents. They take advantage of ignorant people, sorry to say this about my mother, but my mother was asking the right questions getting wrong answers and trusting the WRONG PEOPLE. I am filing multiple fraud consumer reports to prevent this from happening to other people dreaming of a new car but being unknowingly bullied by this team. The sales floor "manager" Charlie said nothing matter after she signed the documents, so JOSE is not being reprimanded in anyway for LYING to me over the phone, to the couple and my mother. I called the dealership and said I saw a pre-owned Honda Pilot for sale on their website that I was interested in. I confirmed the VIN number that it was still available and explained I was driving over an hour to get to the dealership and I didn't want to waste my time if it wasn't available at that price. When I got there I told them who I was and they were expecting me, took me for a test drive, and I said I was ready to buy. I sat down and then they explained that I couldn't have the car unless I purchased a service plan to have my car washed for the life of the car for over a thousand dollars! I told them I wasn't interested, and that I lived over an hour away and would never use it the service. I asked to speak to the manager and he confirmed that I HAD to buy this extra service or I couldn't have the car! Don't believe a WORD they tell you, they will LIE just to get you to come in. I am writing to say that I went to apple to get a simple oil change and when the service advisior came out it turns out my 1999 civic had more then just an oil change that was needed. The Transmission was going and they said it was leaking like an old fauchet. the repairs needed where more then what the car was ever worth, they then suggested that I go to see a sales rep to see what they maybe able do for me, An hour later I was sitting in my new 2012 civic for alot cheaper out of pocket then repairing my old car would have ever cost me. I also got more then I expected for my trade which I used as a trade in cost. Since Apple Honda's renovation, the service department has been transformed into the most efficient service department I have ever experienced. My service advisor, Michael Guarino, is a prime example of what makes Apple Service Dept an outstanding dealership in the industry. Recently I purchased my second Honda, (I tried to purchase from Apple) I am a bit embarrassed not having purchased from Apple Honda, however, I will be servicing both vehicles with Apple Honda. Adversity = Excellence, Trustworthiness, Compassion and Conviction on behalf of the Service Department solving an extremely hard tecknowedgie problem, the first of its kind. It was hard work and surely a few headaches that got it fixed and that they did, spot on. Yes, the frustration was troubling but once I spoke with the General Manager & Owner Bill Taylor within minutes all that frustration went away, and I was assured and so happy that I had bought another new car from Apple. Yes, price is important, but the reputation of the dealership proved by far more important when you need your dealership to stand behind its product, and take charge and solve your problem. My oil change was done in an hour! There was a decent amount of people there before my appointment, so naturally I was nervous. There was no place to sit because of the amount of people, so I made my way to the showroom to stay warm and get some coffee. Lucky for me, my car salesman was there! We said hello and chatted for a minute and I told him my car was getting serviced for an oil change. He took it upon himself to go to the service department and check on the status (thanks Keenan!). No more than 20 minutes later I made my way back out to the cold and went to the service department. Not only was Keenan there, but my car was ready to go! I would've gotten it washed but it was one of the coldest days. They told me I can come back anytime (where it wasn't 9 degrees) and they'd wash it complimentary! I had a wonderful experience at Apple Honda! Jim was my salesman, Brian was my finance manager. They both were customer service driven, going out of their way to cater to me. They made sure I was well informed. Jim was very knowledgeable about all of the cars at the dealership. As he helped me choose a vehicle he did not rush me or pressure me. He went above and beyond to make sure the entire transaction ran smoothly. He was extremely honest and transparent. He is genuinely a nice person with integrity. Unlike other dealerships, Apple Honda does not add any hidden fees. All fees are on their website. No hidden agendas, no games. Brian also was honest and warm. He explained all paperwork to me before I signed. He helped me choose a warranty. Everyone at the dealership carried themselves with class. I wish them all nothing but success. read more

THE DEATH OF CUSTOMER SERVICE A Most unprofessional staff The behavior of the receptionist and the registration and titles clerk were beyond unacceptable, absolutely deplorable and classless. We have called 3 times in 3 weeks looking for our registration WHICH IS NOW EXPIRED!!! NO ONE are your team would find driving with an expired registration or waiting this long for a registration acceptable. We don't understand stand why our calls have not be heeded and a call to the Dmv made on our behalf in 3 weeks!!! I was hung up on, put on terminal hold and screamed at by your team. This is the second purchase we have made at apple and we are suppose to be "FAMILY" as you say. is this the way to treat family?. I bought my car from Apple Honda in 2009 and thought the salesman at the time was great. That's saying a lot because I generally don't like salespeople. I have brought the car back for every service ever since. I live 25 min. away. They give me a loaner car for free. I could bring it to a service station closer, of course. I have always been treated fairly. The service advisors are great. Only once was something minor wrong, which they remedied immediately. I am over 60 and have had a few cars and used several different mechanics in two locations. I have had more problems with each of the other shops than with Apple Honda. I don't know why the bad reviews. When there, I have never heard anyone complain. I would absolutely recommend Apple Honda. read more

Well I have to say my experience at Honda Apple was the best experience so far at any dealer when purchasing a car....my last car was a Honda CRV which I traded in at a fair price and for the convenience of purchasing my new CRV...My salesman John Jay was the best...professional....courteous and respectful....when he took us for a ride....he explained probably everything there was to know about the car...a human CRV manual.... When we went back and sat down to talk numbers....I had already done my homework and was extremely pleased with the numbers for the trade in and the price of the new car... I recently just purchased a fairly decent first car from Apple Honda a couple weeks ago. A 2007 Toyota Corolla. I was blown away by the costumer service from the sales department. A guy named Johnny Lee help me through the car buying process, which I've never had any experience in before. He was very charismatic and charming which I greatly appreciated, buying a new car can e stressful especially if you don't know what you're doing. Johnny Lee definitely made the process more enjoyable, unlike these scummy used car dealers that just try to take your money. We took the car on the test drive and I knew I found the one. NEVER AGAIN, I traded my 2011 pilot with 2014 odyssey. They took my car in exchange with the new one now I received a bill from the previous bank for $1300. Instead of buying they returned the vehicle and the bank is charging me for wear and tear. As I returned to them they refuse to take care of that. Now I'm stuck with this amount on the top of $4200 that I paid for down payment. They took my car as they are fully responsible and they never said I would be liable for wear and tear. They just wanted to make the sale. I was fooled and betrayed. I lease every three years and I never experienced such situation before. So be sure when you are trading with them. read more

I find the staff always courteous. I was impressed that my service liaison remembered me by name when I brought my 2014 Crosstour in for routine maintenance. My first experience with them was an excellent one- although I purchased my car out of state from another dealer, they fixed a minor problem with no cost. About 6 months after buying the car and moving, my turn signal went out. I tried another local Honda dealer and found them difficult to work with. I called Apple and they were so professional I took my business to them.There was no charge and they even gave it a courtesy wash! My husband and I now drive out of our way to service both of our Hondas there. read more

Apple Honda really stepped up to the plate when my 2018 Honda HRV hit a pot hole and destroyed the tire. The next day they towed my car and we were met with excellent service by Steven who showed compassion for our misfortune with our car. We were offered a ride back to our apt. complex. Steve assured us that his service guys would check the car to make sure their was no structural damage. Only our tire needed replacing and it was not long that we had our car back washed for free, looking new again.
