    2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

    I bought by son a new 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with 40 miles on it but the dealership sold the car as used so I am told that we only get 5 of the Hyundai provided 10 year warranty but, I could get the full warranty for an extra $2,500! So here they are trying to cash in on a warranty that is supposed to come with the car for free! I didn't go for it and spoke with Hyundai and the car does, in fact, come with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty! At the end of the day we got the car we wanted along with the warranty but the way they do business seems criminal. Our sales guy was excellent I must say but watch that snake of a finance guy!

First of all: @Tammy, I work in the automotive industry and auto insurance so what you won't do is "We did the best we could" me to death! - Bought the Car 2 years ago, still in regret -This Car has had nothing but problems since the day we bought it. Trunk issues, radio, Bluetooth, constant replacing expensive tire on this SHITTY Veloster! - I literally hate this fucking car and want to get rid of it so badly - This Car has been NOTHING but problems! This had to be a flood car with all the electrical issues we've had! - This was the first and last Hyundai we will ever by! -Shop around! Avoid this dealership at all cost! Even if you are absolutely desperate... Shop around

I spent 20 minutes waiting on "Danny" to confirm availability of a part listed on their website as available. I was largely ignored for twenty MINUTES (on chat) then told the part was "7000 days". (Yeah, the car I am looking for parts for, is 35 years old!) But their software lists it (an oil pan) as grade A and available. I really got the feeling it was too much trouble for him to hunt down. Followup calls for other parts and clarification - (I had No Idea what "7000 DAYS" meant...) not answer the phone, or hung up on me before I could even state my needs. Other attempted followup calls on phone to other numbers seems to lead to the same guy, and rather than talk with me, he hangs up on me with smart-assed quips. Attempts to use alternate numbers/alternate methods, leads all to the same guy? (maybe? or they just got clones on their sales lines?) All I wanted, was to be sure, that a part I really need for a rare car isnt just sitting one shelf down from wherever their flunky thought it should be but didnt bother to look. I mean, its not like he inspired me to confidence in this . Their Chat software seems to say they got 4 guys working, but I just get the same guy... bad luck? Plus, two different phone numbers to two different addresses and the same guy answers? If it wasn't BUSINESS I would NEVER bother them. But I expect better treatment as somebody trying to do BUSINESS with them. Now I am looking for someplace to leave an official complaint and maybe a poor rating on their customer service. They seem to have NO comments, onsite ratings or ACTUAL contact info that links to anything. I think they are a VERY poor risk to chance your money on, even if they ARE the business they say they are. Which I dont actually know, but their online inventory does not match what the people say they have! VERY poor service, VERY poor customer relations. A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT 1-star rating? Sorry, but I intend to go elsewhere for parts in the future. You should too.

Dozens of times I go in after calling Deer Park for the Riverhead guy to give me a price yearly double until I say "Deer Park gave me this price..." he'll huff and puff and say "they do this all the time".

That said, I've come here for wiper blades , etc., -they install them free and I don't have to get my hands dirty- periodically and I have found it to be a decent, 3-star kind of experience if you have a little patience. Then, today: I obtained and consumed a taco at the Taco Bell next door with the radio on and my phone charging. Ten minutes later, I go to leave and... car won't start. I then dig through my wallet and pull out my AAA card to find that my membership has lapsed. I think about re-joining online but find that my phone battery is at 1%. F%ck. Eventually I look up and see the side of the AutoZone just feet away. I go in there, dragging my dog , who has been in the car with me this whole time and is now starting to throw judgmental looks. I ask about buying a new battery, but they say that they'll try to jump if first with their little power pack. An amazingly nice guy comes out with me and after flipping through the manual for a good five minutes we locate the battery under the back seat- Priuses are weird- and he uses the charger thing and the car starts. They unfortunately weren't able to sell me/install a new battery- they only will do that for the typical under-the-hood ones, so I will have to go to a full-service repair shop- but the assistance was totally free. I'm not sure what I would have done without this friendly employee and AutoZone's very generous policies. I feel very lucky to have had the battery crap out nearby.

Another employee walks out and proceeds to help a customer that entered the store after me. Finally, I ask the cashier for a replacement battery for my car and after giving them all of the correct information, I'm charged over 150 dollars for the wrong battery. I call up the store and ask to speak to a manager to complain about the customer service at his store, and the manager just says "Ok" after each complaint I tell him about. He doesn't offer an apology and isn't at all concerned about my experience. This location simply does not care about its business. I instead tried Advance auto parts and was able to save over 50 dollars though that's based on Autozone charging me for a battery that cannot even fit in my car.

    Date of appointment 04/01/2026- Date of pickup 04/28/2026 (Went into the shop for Valve adjustment…read moreand fork rebuild) (80+ hours on the engine) [200+ on the frame] My issues started after asking if it was alright if I started my bike before taking it home as $900 isn't money I just throw around! In the process of starting the bike I broke the kick starter due to the high compression (caused as a result of replacing the head gasket incorrectly) This happened on camera of the shop and even with that I was charged for a new kick starter because "there is no way you could have broken it with the kick down it had to have hit on the peg" This I found funny as the kick starter and peg have been like this since I bought the bike in 2019 and that is the original kickstarter with original adjustments which I bought from Honda of Riverhead. Not only was turnaround slow, but work was lackluster at best.I truly wonder if it's more on the owner giving time constants to his mechanics for turn arounds as for a job like a valve adjustment you would expect them to at least start the bike after the work is done to check. However if it wasn't for me doing that I would have had to deal with all of this myself or god forbidden bring it back to HOR and waist more money.

I was told my brakes and tires needed replacing, and as I commute long distances I wanted to make sure my vehicle was well equipped to handle winter conditions on the LIE. After my inspection was finished, I was quoted $1,079 for the brake replacement, new tires and the inspection, but when I went to pick up my car, I was charged in two installments (as the repairs took place on separate days) and the total was nearly $1,400--almost $320 more than what I was told the total would come out to be. To make matters worse, they removed my front license plate covers and replaced them with their own advertising covers without asking for my permission. Not only was I upset by the unauthorized advertising on my vehicle, but they also put my front license plate on upside down. (See attached photo for proof.) The final straw was hearing my brakes grinding after they had supposedly replaced them. This was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling taken advantage of. I had hoped to find a trustworthy auto shop for future service needs close to work, but instead, I feel like this place took advantage of my situation as a young woman needing an inspection. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend you get a second opinion before trusting this business with your vehicle.

In 2021 I was looking for a 2018 Honda HRV and there weren't any available near me. 2018 is an awesome year for reliability and it was during the pandemic. So everyone was holding onto them. I remember coming to the dealership here in Riverhead, and I didn't feel any personal connection. Fast forward to 2025 and now my mom is looking for an excellent used car. The 2018 Honda HRV STILL tops reliability lists for the HRV and used cars in general. So when I saw Apple Honda list one with low mileage, mom and I were there first thing Monday morning right when it opened. Little did we know the staff were going to be just as wonderful as the car we bought!! YOU MUST SEE RICARDO RODRIGUEZ for a wonderful sales experience. He greeted us at the door. He respected everything about our visit: That I knew what car I was looking for. That my mom and I had time constraints and only had an hour to spend there before we could return the next day. He was such a sweetheart, so pleasant, and did I mention he is an opera singer? The day we signed he sang for us (we are a musical family) and you hold your breath he's that amazing. He also handled my 78-year-old mother's test driving very well! So informative and patient with her. Once we came back the second day to take care of all details, we got to work with Peter and Rich(Richard). These gentleman are such a pleasure to do business with. The whole time we knew this was the right car for my mom, this was the right dealership for my mom!! The staff is happy and so wonderful to do business with. It felt like being helped by family, from Ricardo, to Peter, to Richard. Just amazing. These are REAL people treating you like you are real people. My mom has no regrets and we hope to stay in touch with all these wonderful people! No yucky schmooze here! No impersonal walls. Ricardo was honest and transparent throughout our entire conversations about the car, as well as Richard about the warranty and financing. (Peter helps you get your car covered by your insurance right there on site--amazing. you don't have to worry about anyting!) Stop by and ask for Ricardo!!     Very disappointed with the service, but not with my Honda car. I bought my Honda CRV from them…read morebrand new and it is still running strong. However, when I went in for an oil change, they told me I needed new brakes. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes. I asked him to check my repair records on his computer because I recall recently getting them done. He looked and said I needed them. That's when I pulled out my folder of receipts and I showed him that they just did the brakes on my last service, not even a month ago. I had been bringing my car to them for a decade by then. And that was the last time I ever trusted them with my car (nor will I be buying my next car from them).
