I don't know where to begin. I just don't think I'll be able to convey just how amazing the team is right now. In 2021 I was looking for a 2018 Honda HRV and there weren't any available near me. 2018 is an awesome year for reliability and it was during the pandemic. So everyone was holding onto them. I remember coming to the dealership here in Riverhead, and I didn't feel any personal connection. Fast forward to 2025 and now my mom is looking for an excellent used car. The 2018 Honda HRV STILL tops reliability lists for the HRV and used cars in general. So when I saw Apple Honda list one with low mileage, mom and I were there first thing Monday morning right when it opened. Little did we know the staff were going to be just as wonderful as the car we bought!! YOU MUST SEE RICARDO RODRIGUEZ for a wonderful sales experience. He greeted us at the door. He respected everything about our visit: That I knew what car I was looking for. That my mom and I had time constraints and only had an hour to spend there before we could return the next day. He was such a sweetheart, so pleasant, and did I mention he is an opera singer? The day we signed he sang for us (we are a musical family) and you hold your breath he's that amazing. He also handled my 78-year-old mother's test driving very well! So informative and patient with her. Once we came back the second day to take care of all details, we got to work with Peter and Rich(Richard). These gentleman are such a pleasure to do business with. The whole time we knew this was the right car for my mom, this was the right dealership for my mom!! The staff is happy and so wonderful to do business with. It felt like being helped by family, from Ricardo, to Peter, to Richard. Just amazing. These are REAL people treating you like you are real people. My mom has no regrets and we hope to stay in touch with all these wonderful people! No yucky schmooze here! No impersonal walls. Ricardo was honest and transparent throughout our entire conversations about the car, as well as Richard about the warranty and financing. (Peter helps you get your car covered by your insurance right there on site--amazing. you don't have to worry about anyting!) Stop by and ask for Ricardo!! We went to Apple Honda yesterday because our son was buying a car, he's 18. We were connected with Ricardo Rodriguez. He was very charming as a salesperson, but we were treated dishonestly. We received an email from Apple Honda about a 1.29% finance for some previously owned certified vehicles. We test drove two Honda Civic models and our son chose the one he loved. We were putting down a substantial downpayment and he brought us a bill of sale that showed our monthly payment. We were approved, so we headed to our bank to get the bank check. When we returned Ricardo told us that all is perfect with the deal, however, the offer at that rate was not beginning until the following day. So we could come and pick up the car this morning. So, we met with insurance rep and got the binder going. My husband and son came this morning and surprise Ricardo was not there, I'm sure he knew he wouldn't be. They said that what we were given was not available and it would be 5.9%. We cancelled the deal and walked away. This was a dishonest colossal waste of our time and I will never deal with Apple Honda again, I will discourage anyone who mentions them and my friends have mentioned negative experiences in sales and service. Do better, honor your deals. My next step is reaching out to Honda headquarters to find out if the promotion was even real. Anyway, the only positive is our son learned a super valuable life lesson. read more

After a couple of years of some eyebrow raising prices & recommendations, etc. I went in for an oil change and came out with a $4500 recommended list of services. I then went and got a second and a third opinion.. It appears that some services were suggested that we're not needed. No big surprise. Everyone told me that dealerships were not entirely truthful. I purchased a 2024 Civic Touring. I was made to purchase an extended warranty to the tune of $3000. I told them I didn't want an extended warranty and I bought a Honda because of the reliability. I was told that Honda wouldn't finance the car unless I took the warranty. After trying to get my deposit back at least 3 times they would make me wait until I finally agreed. So I recently went to get the warranty refunded to me because it doesn't start until after the 3 year factory warranty expires, I was offered only $1200 back. They had answers to give me before I had questions. When I contacted 2 other car companies. I was told by their sales managers that I was entitled to get a full refund and that Apple Honda despite being a Honda dealer is not known for being reputable. So I left. I bought a brand new 2022 CRV-touring 3 1/2 years ago. what a big mistake that was. Bonnie was great, but I got screwed big time. All they want is your money. I went and had service done about 3 weeks ago at the tune of over $600. Absolutely absurd. Way over price. All I asked for was the service for the 15,000 mile mark, but no they did service I didn't ask them to do. They gave me a hybrid to use. I went back the next day an asked about it. John Jay is an absolute jerk. He said I was approved for the loan. Went back the next day after work and neither him or the financial guy would give me any numbers on how much I was financing or what my payment was. Finally after telling them both I am not signing anything until I have numbers and I'm thinking about it they said. They had me buying the car with no number. I said no I want number. Well I went back to my old dealer and bought a car. Apple Honda is not the place to go. Sales and financial department are horrible. Service department prices are way over priced. read more

My first and last experience with "Gary", the customer rep. Very rude and condescending. Not at all for the customers. I asked for the 30$ car wash in additional to my other service and he said we have to run it by the inspection unit to see if you need it. After being treated like a pauper at Riverhead Nissan, where a salesman named Frank Badamo walked away from the negotiating table, I drove down the road to see if anything at Apple Honda sparked my interest. The difference was like night and day. At Apple Honda they have a 100% professional and courteous staff. Just walking the parking lot, a nice man said hello, which is more than the cold shoulder that Riverhead Nissan will give you. When I entered, I was greeted by a professional receptionist. I asked for the nice young man who said hello in the parking lot. His name is Frank Sergio. I felt welcomed there at all times, and was able to test drive several cars, without hassle. I was offered a used 2019 Honda Ridgeline that just came in! Frank was willing to speak to his manager to negotiate the price just to my liking. Every step of the process from the paperwork, to the insurance, to the finance department was smooth, easy, and professional. Since the vehicle was just brought in, it needed a few things; an alignment, a tire fixed, and the sunroof channels cleaned. Apple Honda took care of all these things at no additional cost! We had an amazingly good experience this week at Apple Tree Honda. I made an appointment for noon and was promptly greeted by my salesperson, Jeremie Reid. He was the absolute perfect person to work with, very informative, understood better than us, what our needs were and worked extremely hard to put us in a car that would best suit our needs and our price point. We test drove three different model cars and settled on a 2024 Honda Accord. Never once, did Jeremie try to pressure us into taking a car or any extras that we did not want. He was sincere and is genuinely a nice person who did his absolute best to keep our cost down and make us happy! We also met with Mike Duncan, the Financial person who explained everything simply and the deal went so smoothly because Mike was very experienced at his job. He never pressured us into taking additional coverage that we did not feel was necessary, yet did his best to explain how the warranty worked and other necessary details. They just want your money. I took my car to this place yesterday (07/06/2023) for an oil change. They told me that I needed to replace my front brake pads and gave a quote for almost 400 dollars (front only) and same price for the rear ones. Today (07/07/2023) I took my car to my local car shop and they told me that the brake pads have 80% left. I replaced them last year. The replaced my rear pads for 139 dollars. read more

Worst customer service shop ever! Would give zero stars if i could! My boyfriend got new tires from mavis and was informed by the mechanic there said that the breaks in his CRV are crystallized, and that's not normal wear and tear. Being as hes only had the vehical 1 year, the mechanic said they should be covered by hondas warentee. He made an appointment with honda, and they basically denied service and voided his warranty by denying that the breaks were crystalized even though it was confirmed by an honest mechanic who could have made money off him by jusy saying he needed new breaks but didnt and redirected him back to the dealership. Their service center treatment of scamming customers in regards to warrantee parts is really scummy! read more

So I'm giving 3 stars for 2 reasons. I would give the sales department 1 star, they were so unresponsive and nontransparent while I was buying my car that I wouldn't recommend that department. I am still trying to get information on all the warranties and extra coverage I purchased 8 months later. I'm not going to name people, but stay away or be aware and do your homework before going to the sales department because you'll never get an anon anything. However, the service department has been amazing. I've been in 3 times since I purchased my CRV and have had amazing service. Super responsive, quick service and the staff are especially great. I went to there dealership on a Saturday because they sent a advertisement about savings, bad credit, $0 down etc....They told me I had to pay them $250.00 to do the paperwork, and if they couldn't get me into a car they would refund the $250.00. I had a 2017 Nissan Altima in Great condition, Very Low Mileage I was going to use as a trade in, They said they would call me Monday and let me know if they got me approved, they were waiting on 2 other deals to come through, Monday came and went and No phone call, I called Tuesday to have them refund my $250.00, it never happened. I'm going to assume that the low marks I've seen are because angry people are more likely to rant than happy people are to praise. I can't say enough about the ease of business and professionalism at Apple Honda. Bonnie was our salesperson, and she was efficient, and not pushy, which was amazing. We told her what we were looking for and in no time at all, we were test driving. We signed on a car within 60 minutes. On top of Bonnie being wonderful, the rest of the support staff was great too. Keenan took us through all of the features on our new Accord and was an excellent spokesperson for the Honda company. Sitting in the car with him going through everything we needed to know really cemented the fact that we made the right decision. Then there was financing, which I have to be honest, is typically the worst part of any car buying experience. Brian was super quick and thorough (bonus) and was very kind to my husband, who is a NYC Fireman. Apparently, he gets a discount for that! Sweet. I hope any service experience is just as satisfying. We have a 2002 Honda Civic. 98,000 miles. There were issues with the aircondioner plus the car was bogging down whenever it was driven. We were told sell it as is by mechanics that checked it, because of the age of the car. We didn't We took it to Apple Honda, great customer service and knowledge. My experiencie with the service Dept there it's been hard from the begining; on 2020 I got my CRV2019 there BRAND NEW... A few months after a tire sensor Started to Ligth up, I took it to a tired person around checked all my tires rigth away and all of them were fine but the tire ligth kept on; I decided to brougth my car to Service dep and had them take a look at it, they didnt find any trouble with the tires; their only solution was to disconnect the tire ligth so I wont see it in the Dash... Now im not a mechanic however my commun sense told me that ligth was telling me something was wrong and I didnt agree with it!!! Everytime I took my car for service I kept asking them to take a look of everything...Once The Head master mechanic checked he noticed nails on the tires (After I bring it 4 times for the same issue) I asked them to replace them rigth away... Now 2 years after I left my car in service (JUST Oil Change) I waited 2 Hours, I been called by at the counter saying all was READY to go; I paid them, they handle my car key and go to wallgreens to pick Up my meds and my husband call me asking me to return inmediatly due the mechanic had forgotten to place back something that they took it in order to do OIL CHANGE!!! I had to get back there waited again 10 minuts for them to fixxed it... I been called by Chad (Manager) and got apologies and again got my car back... There I was driving in the Highway when my car started to shake, all ligths on dashboard ON; I couldnt drive anymore (My car wasnt acelerating) I put my feet deeply in the throttle but my car just wasnt moving as it was doing before I took it to Apple Honda... I called them, I spoke with Chad again and he came over to help me; thanks for that... However Next day I went to Apple Honda and they wanted me to take back my car without giving me a proper writting paper where explain what happened with my car or without giving me any warranty in my car Engine...
