I came here yesterday with my daughter. We met with Ed K, our salesman. Ed was friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable. He spoke with us and gathered all our information as to what our needs were. He quickly presented us with many, many options. We went for a couple of test drives and decided on a Nissan rogue. We then met with Kenny, who also knew his stuff. He too, was friendly and knowledgeable. He guided us through financing. Next we met with Jim, their Allstate rep. Again, we were so satisfied with his service. I purchased a used vehicle, a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, also sold an extended warranty for which I was verbally promised was 100% refundable if I did not use it before 24 months, or 110,000 miles. Right from day one, the air conditioning did not work. That actually should have been covered under the Lemon Law, but after taking the car to Riverhead Auto Mall three times, including needing to take days off from work to do so, they kept refusing to repair the AC saying it wasn't broken. It is still broken to this day and has been verified to be as such by Meineke in Southampton, and absolutely anyone who has driven with me in the car. I believe the cause is the AC Clutch, which is a very common problem with Subarus. The compressor is fine etc. Next I tried taking the car to Subaru and then after to The Garage in Hampton Bays, NY and try to use the Custom Edge Plus warranty that I had been told was accepted anywhere. But that also was not true, no one would accept it. I was told I would have had to use the warranty to get it repaired at Riverhead Auto Mall. Result, I still have no AC to this day. I bought this car in a hurry because I was under duress, needing it for work and repeated trips to MSKCC in NYC driving for hours in blazing heat, because I had and was being treated for cancer, and was due to have surgery August, 2022. Now, at this point, the car is over 110,00 miles and I therefore contacted Riverhead Auto Mall for the refund so I could get the AC fixed. So far, I have been sent two refund checks that amount to less than half of the amount I paid for the extended warranty. I am simply requesting the remaining balance owed to me be immediately refunded, and additionally, possibly, that they refund me for a repair cost for the AC, whatever it costs, at the Subaru dealership in Riverhead. 12/23 purchased a new Santa Cruz XRT- several bogus charges on purchase order- title in wrong name- charged for extended warranty plus tax when it was specified as not needed- never detailed the new car before delivery and "forgot" the second key FOB- refused to take payment in full unless we paid #$2000.00 more than MSRP- did not give the 2.99 percent finance rate as promised on phone and web sites and threatened to ruin our credit if we did not take car on dealers terms and we would never be able to buy a vehicle again. Took delivery with no instructions about features of the vehicle- dirty windows-truck bed with water and leaves and protective plastic coverings over many surfaces. I thought sales department was horrific after selling me a certified pre-owned Rogue that They knew was in an accident and covered it up and lied about but their service department is even worse! I make an appointment 2 1/2 weeks in advance to bring my car in to get the 2nd key -WHICH WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE- they had my car all day and when I called at 2:30 to see if my car was ready I was told they needed to ORDER the key which I was then told would take a day or 2! Checked my dash cam the car was pulled in at 8am and no work performed and no one ever contacted me then treated me like shit when I had the audacity to complain! read more

On 2/19/23 I lent my credit card to a very close family friend so he could use it on the Nissan side of the mall for a downpayment on a used car he wanted to buy. Since I could not be there in person, I gave him a signed and dated letter authorizing Riverhead Auto Mall to make a one-time charge of $3000 ONLY. Despite reading that letter, the finance person, Kyle Price charged an unauthorized amount of $4711.64. He coerced the family friend into signing the receipt under duress by telling him if he didn't sign it he would never be allowed to by the car. When I found out what happened, I immediately called the dealership and requested to speak with Kyle. He would not get on the phone. I called several times after that and he still would not get on the phone. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I would advise people to BEWARE of this car dealership. Reputable auto dealers don't do things like this. And, if there is a problem, they should not act like cowards and refuse to answer the phone. read more

I didn't have a good experience with this dealer while I was shopping for a car. Saw an ad online and verified on their website on the price and set up an appointment through their Internet marketing team. The ladies I talked to were both very friendly and helpful so their Internet sales team is definitely the best part of the experience. However, I think they could have been more upfront about their pricing as I didn't find out until getting ready to put down a deposit on my second visit to the dealership that they charge a $995 fee for certifying their used vehicles, essentially they tack this on after listing the price which I thought was bit of bait and switch. There was a bit of mixed message I got regarding on getting the internet price. The internet team told me that it would have to be financed while salesperson said cash would be fine. Irregardless because of the extra $1000 I ended up not going forward with the purchase. Refund of the deposit took about couple weeks so at least I didn't have to keep hassling them to get my money back. Overall I felt this is just another run of the mill dealership that uses gimmicks to get people to come visit. I suppose they had to resort to these strategies mainly they're located far out in Eastern LI. 2 stars seems fair as it wasn't a complete horrible experience as long as you know up front about the extra fees I think would have made my experience much better. read more

warning: do not go here! after years of having my nissan 2019 rogue serviced here, i went in for a simple oil and filter change. i was advised there was some rust on rotors of rear wheels, and need to be sanded down of replaced. i asked to use a $249 coupon, was told yes, ended up with both front and rear brakes replaced, did not honor coupon and charged $1,100! do not go here or if you do, get prices in advance and in writing! this nissan dealer is a crook. read more

It is my opinion that I was duped into going to purchase a used 2019 Nissan Altima at Riverhead Nissan. I was told by the internet specialist Nichelle, I would get $3000 off the price of the car if I financed the car, I could put $5000 on a credit card, I would get 0% financing, I could pay off the loan without penalty within 6-8 weeks once I received the title on the vehicle and get whatever my trade was worth. Nichelle stated she spoke to her internet manager who gave her this information. I reviewed this information with Nichelle 3 times prior to going to the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealership Francois, who held himself out to be the manager, connected me with a salesperson because the salesperson Nichelle suggested I meet with was unavailable. Long story short it became clear early on that the salesperson and Francois were not going to honor what Nichelle had told me. Francois refused to confirm with Nichelle what she told me and stated even if he did confirm it with her he was not going to honor it. I asked Francois several times if he was the manager Nichelle spoke with and he stated he was not. I went and spoke to Nichelle who reported that Francois was the manager she spoke with. So it appears one of them was blatantly lieing. Francois found out I was talking with Nichelle and he came to her office. I asked her to tell him what she told me and she went mute. He told her to leave the office. At that point he was standing up over me because Nichelle and I had been sitting in chairs. I stood up to continue speaking with Francois and he appeared to physically threaten me by butting out his chest and coming up on me. I mocked him for doing that to a 5 foot woman. He then appeared to threaten me again by stating I had 10 seconds to leave. Due to my fear that he may become physically harm me I left. read more

I brought my sons 2012 Hyundia, 37,000 miles in for a clutch diagnoses and to go over the car to see if it needed anything else. The car had 2 recalls....set up appt. with Carl (very nice) did paperwork with Holly and went over $ 140. diagnostic charge. All good up to the phone call from Mary who must be working on commission. Told me new clutch, rear drums and rotors and to change all the fluids. She came on really strong....I had the cars oil, anti-freeze done this past spring by local shop and this summer no mention of brakes needed. The prices $ 1900. clutch, 400. for drums and I didn't even listen to what the fluids would cost. I knew she was scamming me to jack up the price of repairs. I picked up the car , brought it to Nicks Transmission in Rky Pt and $1000 later new Clutch and by the way I didn't need rear brakes and rotors. Bad business to deal with...Dishonest and very unprofessional. read more

My wife's car battery is dead and towed to Riverhead Nissan dealer to repair. The car is in MA license plate and break down in NY, and my wife has no any knowledge about car. You know what happened next. A lot of unnecessary services were recommended and done. The invoice ended up $808, only $315 is related to battery replacement. Replacing brake pads, flushing brake fluid et al.. This car brake system was just checked up in the Nissan dealer near my house. This was obviously a rip off. read more

Being an owner of Nissan Pathfinder, I wanted to continue and buy new one at Riverhead Nissan. So I stopped by on 7/6, was assigned to junior salesman, with whom I had nice conversation , he gave me some info about the different models ( although he was lacking technical knowledge-but he was friendly), took a test drive around dealership, it was good. When moneytalk started, he was constantly going back and forth to ask manager. There was some going up and down the price for a car as well as trade-in, so finally manager came to me, wrote down the price, was basically very rude, didn't want to negotiate the price, and when I said that I want lower price, manager became angry and basically said- now you can go, leave... NEVER BUY A CAR AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!! My daughter purchased a 2011 used Toyota scion from them. Little things were wrong with it but after she drove it off the lot, she noticed a star in the windshield, a rattle in the backend, brakes that you had to push all the way to the floor to stop, a flat spare in the trunk, and about 2 weeks after buying the car water started POURING out of the dashboard!!!!! The response she got: SORRY WE CAN'T HELP YOU...amongst other small things slowly creeping up, by the time she got her car to riverhead Toyota she had about 2 " of water shloshing around on the floor, plus it smelled of mold!!!!! Found out they overcharged her for her extended warranty, and about 5 thousand on the car and they changed the car fax!!!!! the used car sales manager, Jim was apparently mad at himself for NOT DOING HIS JOB!!!! My daughter traded in her car she asked if she could take her deck out since she paid for it and just have them rewire the old radio back into the vehicle, Jim said ok, no problem! Then he proceeded to tell me my 23 yr old daughter rewired her car radio herself and she obviously knew something about cars and she knew the transmission was bad on the trade in.....NOT!!!! He got mad because apparently the car had a bad transmission, which my daughter who is only 23 had NO IDEA there was something wrong....and he gave her 25 hundred for her trade in. Jim was mad at himself and took it our on my daughter. After driving another 2011scion at another dealership she realized there were other issues, the brakes for one, engine noise for another and again another dealership, this is the second one, told her she was overcharged for the car and the warranty! I eventually went down there and after speaking to Jim the used car salesman, I GOT NO WHERE WITH NO ANSWERS GIVEN....he even walked away and refused to speak with me, he didn't want to continue our conversation and I was not rude, just stating facts. My daughter went down to the dealership just before the 4th of July and the general manager listened to her and said yes we can get you in another vehicle after the 4th and we will give you a courtesy car....THAT NEVER HAPPENED DAY AFTER THE 4th he told her he couldn't help Her at all!!!!! I am helping her cancel her warranty with them and we are buying one at riverhead Toyota. The owner actually helped us tremendously at riverhead Toyota. PRESENTLY MAKING ALL REPAIRS OURSELVES. Riverhead Nissan did repair the windshield but did a really crappy job and repaired the flat spare....there were even other issues with the finance company too!!! Worst customer service of my life. Purchased a used vehicle from this business. The sales representatives I worked with were overall fine, and in particular I received great service from Paris and Tammy. However, post-sales-related issues were handled alarmingly poorly; I still had not received important materials over two weeks past the cited "receive by" date. Numerous phone calls resulted in little progress and mixed answers. At this point, I was merely frustrated that it seemed either balls were being dropped, or that the process was not being adequately explained to me, or both. Paris kindly listened to the issues and helped get me down the right track to resolve the oversights. Finally, after amicably resolving half the issues and cheered by a promise to have the other quickly resolved, I received a phone call from Joe who berated me, raised his voice over mine to drown out my efforts to explain what happened, waving off my comments and attempts at explaining my situation as "me and my fancy words," suggested I had been harassing the entire dealership with phone calls during my efforts to resolve my issues. He insinuated I was extremely lucky that he would even take the time to figure out what was going on with my issue (involving actually money owed to me as well). Eventually, he told me to stop contacting them, that he hoped I enjoyed my car, and hung up on me. I have never been treated so poorly. I am happy so far with the car; I am enraged by the "customer service" by Joe in particular. Would never buy a car from here again. Fortunately, the case was later taken over by another manager, who was able to explain and resolve the issue for me. Here's hoping the check is truly "in the mail." read more

DANGER!!!! After getting a quote online and being told via phone that the vehicle was available and the price would be honored my mother and I made the trip out to Riverhead Auto Mall where salesman Troy followed us into the building and then proceeded to take over the sales process from the phone contact we had already dealt with. After a lot of lackadaisical posturing and random disappearances Troy placed a price in front of us that was thousands more than the online quote we were told they would honor and also told was available! When questioned and challenged on this inconsistency Troy proceeded to yell at my 70 year old mother and I saying, "That's it, you're fired as customers! Get out of this store! Please leave!" It was psychotic and came out of nowhere and was honestly quite frightening! We asked to speak to a manager, get a business card for a manager etc... and Troy continued to follow us around the store, getting up in our faces almost to the point of being physically threatening! He then called both my mother and I 'Disgusting Animals." NO ONE ELSE IN THE DEALERSHIP INTERVENED or came to our assistance. It was the most bizarre and terrifying display of human indecency I have ever witnessed. Troy Stevenstein needs help, he is obviously mentally ill and has no place in sales where rule number one is to respect the customer. read more
