I don't know where to begin. I just don't think I'll be able to convey just how amazing the team is…read moreright now. In 2021 I was looking for a 2018 Honda HRV and there weren't any available near me. 2018 is an awesome year for reliability and it was during the pandemic. So everyone was holding onto them. I remember coming to the dealership here in Riverhead, and I didn't feel any personal connection. Fast forward to 2025 and now my mom is looking for an excellent used car. The 2018 Honda HRV STILL tops reliability lists for the HRV and used cars in general. So when I saw Apple Honda list one with low mileage, mom and I were there first thing Monday morning right when it opened. Little did we know the staff were going to be just as wonderful as the car we bought!! YOU MUST SEE RICARDO RODRIGUEZ for a wonderful sales experience. He greeted us at the door. He respected everything about our visit: That I knew what car I was looking for. That my mom and I had time constraints and only had an hour to spend there before we could return the next day. He was such a sweetheart, so pleasant, and did I mention he is an opera singer? The day we signed he sang for us (we are a musical family) and you hold your breath he's that amazing. He also handled my 78-year-old mother's test driving very well! So informative and patient with her. Once we came back the second day to take care of all details, we got to work with Peter and Rich(Richard). These gentleman are such a pleasure to do business with. The whole time we knew this was the right car for my mom, this was the right dealership for my mom!! The staff is happy and so wonderful to do business with. It felt like being helped by family, from Ricardo, to Peter, to Richard. Just amazing. These are REAL people treating you like you are real people. My mom has no regrets and we hope to stay in touch with all these wonderful people! No yucky schmooze here! No impersonal walls. Ricardo was honest and transparent throughout our entire conversations about the car, as well as Richard about the warranty and financing. (Peter helps you get your car covered by your insurance right there on site--amazing. you don't have to worry about anyting!) Stop by and ask for Ricardo!! He's the gateway to so many awesome people here. Thank you Apple Honda!!

However, when I went in for an oil change, they told me I needed new brakes. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes. I asked him to check my repair records on his computer because I recall recently getting them done. He looked and said I needed them. That's when I pulled out my folder of receipts and I showed him that they just did the brakes on my last service, not even a month ago. I had been bringing my car to them for a decade by then. And that was the last time I ever trusted them with my car (nor will I be buying my next car from them).

I purchased my first ford in my 50s. the sterotypes of the brand always kept me away…read more After driving toyota and chevy mostly, the vehicles over the years have been less and less. For example, I had a chevy equinox that I purchased from buzz chew - they were great with service dept. however, just before warranty expired, my transmission just died... had about 60k miles they made the repairs under warranty - no problem. a few months later, the transmission died again!!! they wouldn't honor warranty since it just expired, even though the same problems happened. This costed me $6000.00!!! at the time, I had no money, going through financial struggles, and worked a second job to payoff the debt that I was lucky enough to borrow I never had a transmission fail and to have a vehicle that this failed twice!!!???? no, this is not the norm. Not only will I not buy a chevy again but the dealership let me down and lost me as a customer after a family member recommended to try riverhead ford, I reluctantly went there to check. I had no intention of buying but tried to keep my sister happy. my sister introduced me to a salesman, Bill Seydel. my first impression of bill was that he looked like an everyday guy, not a lick willy sales guy that is interested in only the sale. after spending some time with me, discussing budget and type of vehicle I want, which (at the time) was suv. after having me try the options, discuss price and budget, he suggested leasing and explained the benefits of always having new and warranty coverage and monthly cost savings, I decided on edge. the vehicle was fine and served it's purpose well, no complaints. when I was ready to turn the lease and get another, I decided I wanted a pickup as the first time, bill explained the options and spent a lot of time to be sure I was happy to make the best decision I felt right about. I then got a lariat crew cab, which gave my dog ample room, with the back seats up, to move around and do cartwheels if he so chose to. the truck was great!!! this happened before covid was front an center after the lease end was near, I decided to take a look at trucks again. my financial status was better and I wanted to upgrade, which was the platinum. with supply shortages going on, the options were limited. instead of making a quick sale bill suggested to order from the factory, which at the time was 4-8 months wait, which a drag since that would be august and my lease ended in February. bill understood the concern and motioned that the lease can be extended and any issues he will work something out to keep me to have something to drive. at the time, my faith and trust in bill was pretty high since he has been straight with me since the beginning, more interested in making me, the customer, happy than making a quick buck. so, we went down the options, some i wanted and some he suggested, and explained, why I may not want. line by line, we went over everything. In the end, I got the truck loaded because I wanted it, not the salesman pushing. At my age, I wanted something great. I'm not a contractor but wanted the comfort, height, and good gas mileage. the hybrid model I got with lane assist and bluecruise is pretty cool... ford has a way to go to make self driving happen, but this reduces much driving stress as i see it. Riverhead fords service department has always been great, fair with price and with the for visa point system, I never paid for oil changes and other services needed while having the card. my only complaint about the service is loaner cars. with vehicle shortages being a thing still, they have less vehicles on hand currently and have to wait 3 weeks to schedule service. fortunately, with the point system, they have different ties, bronze, silver and blue, i used it for all purchases and auto pays, paying as soon as bill came, I became blue tier. with that tier my plan lets them come to me and switch cars out rather than go there and wait. I suggest them to anyone!

The 20,000 mile routine maintenance suggested a cabin filter replacement and tire rotation so I took it in for that. These scammers charged me $179 for that "service". An OEM filter from Ford is $35. Their lack of communication has led to my registration being held over a title issue that I was double charged for. When I finally did receive the refund it was given with disrespectful and unprofessional attitude from their manager who's got to be someone who's never done customer service before as he put me in a situation where he's blaming his salesmen and threatening to take my $50 refund out of his paycheck and asking me if "that's what I want". Looking passed their horrible manager, their title department is clearly processing my registration at a snail's pace so I've received letters from the DMV and Insurance about my new car not being registered under my name still and my old car needing to be added back. The headache is NOT worth the deal considering there are many Hyundai dealerships on the Island that are much much better. I know everyone will have a different experience here but be sure to make an informed decision before heading here, it could lead to further issues even if the price seems "right" on the website.

I originally visited the dealership over a year ago, but wasn't ready to make a decision on a car (If you remember, a year ago cars were really difficult to get). Ethan remembered, and was STILL super patient and responsive. He helped me drive away with a car that I love! Plus Volkswagens are great cars. I spent 20 minutes waiting on "Danny" to confirm availability of a part listed on their website as available. I was largely ignored for twenty MINUTES (on chat) then told the part was "7000 days". (Yeah, the car I am looking for parts for, is 35 years old!) But their software lists it (an oil pan) as grade A and available. I really got the feeling it was too much trouble for him to hunt down. Followup calls for other parts and clarification - (I had No Idea what "7000 DAYS" meant...) not answer the phone, or hung up on me before I could even state my needs. Other attempted followup calls on phone to other numbers seems to lead to the same guy, and rather than talk with me, he hangs up on me with smart-assed quips. Attempts to use alternate numbers/alternate methods, leads all to the same guy? (maybe? or they just got clones on their sales lines?) All I wanted, was to be sure, that a part I really need for a rare car isnt just sitting one shelf down from wherever their flunky thought it should be but didnt bother to look. I mean, its not like he inspired me to confidence in this . Their Chat software seems to say they got 4 guys working, but I just get the same guy... bad luck? Plus, two different phone numbers to two different addresses and the same guy answers? If it wasn't BUSINESS I would NEVER bother them. But I expect better treatment as somebody trying to do BUSINESS with them. Now I am looking for someplace to leave an official complaint and maybe a poor rating on their customer service. They seem to have NO comments, onsite ratings or ACTUAL contact info that links to anything. I think they are a VERY poor risk to chance your money on, even if they ARE the business they say they are. Which I dont actually know, but their online inventory does not match what the people say they have! VERY poor service, VERY poor customer relations. A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT 1-star rating? Sorry, but I intend to go elsewhere for parts in the future. You should too.
