When I returned, I asked why the truck's computer was still showing front brake life at 17%. They tried to reset it, but instead, reset the life for the rear brakes that weren't serviced, and now the truck's computer flashes a warning to "service the brake wear monitor system" every time I start the vehicle. I brought the truck back 2 more times to fix this, but it still has the issue and I'm told that I need to take it to the dealer. This job was fully paid for, and now I need to go to the dealer to have it completed at my expense. Very disappointing, and probably my last visit to Firestone

Right from day one, the air conditioning did not work. That actually should have been covered under the Lemon Law, but after taking the car to Riverhead Auto Mall three times, including needing to take days off from work to do so, they kept refusing to repair the AC saying it wasn't broken. It is still broken to this day and has been verified to be as such by Meineke in Southampton, and absolutely anyone who has driven with me in the car. I believe the cause is the AC Clutch, which is a very common problem with Subarus. The compressor is fine etc. Next I tried taking the car to Subaru and then after to The Garage in Hampton Bays, NY and try to use the Custom Edge Plus warranty that I had been told was accepted anywhere. But that also was not true, no one would accept it. I was told I would have had to use the warranty to get it repaired at Riverhead Auto Mall. Result, I still have no AC to this day. I bought this car in a hurry because I was under duress, needing it for work and repeated trips to MSKCC in NYC driving for hours in blazing heat, because I had and was being treated for cancer, and was due to have surgery August, 2022. Now, at this point, the car is over 110,00 miles and I therefore contacted Riverhead Auto Mall for the refund so I could get the AC fixed. So far, I have been sent two refund checks that amount to less than half of the amount I paid for the extended warranty. I am simply requesting the remaining balance owed to me be immediately refunded, and additionally, possibly, that they refund me for a repair cost for the AC, whatever it costs, at the Subaru dealership in Riverhead. Riverhead Auto Mall is consistently dishonest, unreliable, immoral and purposefully misleading.

I find the dealerships are not personal and it's more of a factory type "in and out" I don't see the same people more often on the phone or at the counter. I pass the shop daily on my way to work and was curious about the place. I always see a lot of cars there. So I recently called for a service appointment. Andrew is very nice and articulate on the phone. That is my 1st impression of a good company. The person who answers the phone is usually the face of the company. He's got a good face. He has a sense of responsibility and pride for the technicians that work for the company and I could tell that by how he spoke about them. The technicians are very detailed, they show you photos of what they are inspecting and give you a lot of information. For me it's great as I have a mechanical background so I understood everything that was pointed out. I felt confident that my truck was thoroughly looked at. The appointment process is easy, just give then a call. For me, thankfully I have not needed a major repair "yet" but if and when I do, taking my Jeep Trailhawk to R and K.

I remember coming to the dealership here in Riverhead, and I didn't feel any personal connection. Fast forward to 2025 and now my mom is looking for an excellent used car. The 2018 Honda HRV STILL tops reliability lists for the HRV and used cars in general. So when I saw Apple Honda list one with low mileage, mom and I were there first thing Monday morning right when it opened. Little did we know the staff were going to be just as wonderful as the car we bought!! YOU MUST SEE RICARDO RODRIGUEZ for a wonderful sales experience. He greeted us at the door. He respected everything about our visit: That I knew what car I was looking for. That my mom and I had time constraints and only had an hour to spend there before we could return the next day. He was such a sweetheart, so pleasant, and did I mention he is an opera singer? The day we signed he sang for us (we are a musical family) and you hold your breath he's that amazing. He also handled my 78-year-old mother's test driving very well! So informative and patient with her. Once we came back the second day to take care of all details, we got to work with Peter and Rich(Richard). These gentleman are such a pleasure to do business with. The whole time we knew this was the right car for my mom, this was the right dealership for my mom!! The staff is happy and so wonderful to do business with. It felt like being helped by family, from Ricardo, to Peter, to Richard. Just amazing. These are REAL people treating you like you are real people. My mom has no regrets and we hope to stay in touch with all these wonderful people! No yucky schmooze here! No impersonal walls. Ricardo was honest and transparent throughout our entire conversations about the car, as well as Richard about the warranty and financing.
