Discrimination at its finest. I purposely looked from out front before I came in to see if there were customers without masks in there prior to stepping in. I see two gentlemen at a table with no mask, so I walked to the door. I was stopped by security and told that masks were required. When I pointed out the gentleman not wearing masks and offered my vaccination card, he told me that I wasn't allowed in I was coming in to get receipts for items lost in a fire for insurance reimbursement and to buy three new laptops. Guess what Apple? You lost my business permanently. You can't pick and choose who can and can't come in with a mask, especially when state and county guidelines say differently. Geeze. Highly unprofessional. Have been coming here since the store opened. Was greeted by a lady at the front who was very rude- for no apparent reason- just needed to get an Apple product. After asking to be transferred to another employee due to the rudeness- the employee ignored me. After asking an employee to discuss the issue with a manager- the employees and manager gathered together, discussed things in front of me- and then proceeded to ignore me. read more

I bought a Apple 13 pro phone less than 60 days ago and the face recognition stopped working so I made an appointment and took it in they replaced the insides but they didn't replace the screen protector and no one would help reactivate the phone so when I was trying to do the face recognition I was told to get out of the store for pulling down my mask. The customer service has gone downhill after the store reopened after COVID shut down. The techs take make up repair notes that were never said. They give you a call back number that gets one into a wonderful pass the customer to the next department. I wasted over and hour being dropped on the three previous calls then bounced a round for a half hour on the last one. Worst part is they called me. Basically their customer serve has gone to hell. I would never recommend a person to go here under the current management. read more

This Apple store is the worst I've ever been. Customer service sucks (for lack of a better word). I had just purchased an iPhone 13 ordered online and 10 minutes later tried to purchase an Apple Watch. I approached this door welcomer and asked if I could have someone help me. He looked at his iPad and told me that they were busy and could only schedule me for an hour later. Looking around the store, there were not much people at all, and there were actually three other sales persons who could've attended to us. How long can a purchase of an Apple Watch be?!! I have known apple to go out of their way to sell their product. Obviously not this location. I found them rude and unaccommodating. Arrived at the Apple store prior to 8 o'clock on Wednesday, May 12 and the staff at the door indicated they were closed. If the hours posted or until 8 PM customer should be allowed in the door until 8 PM. In addition when I can't call the store on the phone it indicated that store hours were closed as well and it was still prior to 8 PM which was the advertise closing time posted on their website. I don't post too many reviews but I thought this was important. I saw a lot of negative reviews prior to our appointment and that made me nervous. But honestly after we got there, they were very welcoming. We talked with several of the floor staff, all were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to fix my son's MacBook right then and there. The only down side is I tend to spend too much! Anyway it was a great experience. Love the store, staff and products. read more

I've been here a few times. Yesterday I came for my new iPhone Plus. Staff was efficient and friendly despite being super busy. I think it's a fair-sized store. The only issue I had is that I had a gift card with $4 left and the associate (accidentally?) kept it. But I was still programming my new phone and told another team member who refunded me cash for it. They don't put employee names on the receipt, that was inconvenient. I came to this Apple store for tech support for my iPhone 12 Pro Max for camera close up blurriness. Before getting inside the store, I was questioned by two other Apple kids my purpose there was. I would say I had three people come out to check me out, what for wearing hiking clothes after a hike? I felt I was being profiled on the clothes I was wearing. I got the Ok and my tech support looked like he should have been profiled, tattooed, piercing with one of those art work hair cuts. And I was profiled for wearing Merrill shoes and a north Ridge clothing. Ironic. read more

When you see the accusations of blatant racism and classism at this Apple Store, don't ignore it. I used to think that it was just people taking the employees at this store the wrong way when reading some of these reviews, but after last night, I know it's all true. I witnessed discrimination at this store first hand and experienced it while trying to get an appointment for our of 15+ iPads (we run a business that uses the iPads to create digital invoices) and we watched the staff here openly and unashamedly discriminate against an Asian-American woman, hispanic man and us. We were all standing in line to speak with an Apple rep and had been told "we might as well leave because we aren't getting helped today" and us and the two other customers were told shooed away but confused we stood there on our phones, trying to book our appointment for the next day. Just then a Blonde woman with a very flashy Louis Vuitton bag walks up, says her iPhone isn't working correctly and is told that they can squeeze her in! All of us dropped our jaws in shock as the Apple employee was not trying to hide their blatant racism and homophobia. The wealthy appearing blonde woman was ushered into the empty store (yes, there was basically NO ONE in there) and helped while those of the non-white variety were told to get lost. After Apple customer service couldn't help me via phone, they scheduled an appointment for me at the Genius Bar. I showed up about 10 minutes early and was helped by an employee by the name of Adam within 2-3 minutes. He was very friendly and was able to solve my computer issue in a matter of minutes! His help was free of charge but jokingly asked for $5... I told him I would give him a 5-star review instead! Overall great first experience at the store. read more

Have had the need to have apple devices repaired several times here in the past year. Every time having to wait 15-20 minutes after checking in for genius to appear past appointment time. Everyones busy i get that. Not ideal but what are you going to do. Today i was delayed in heavy traffic coming from my home in santa cruz to Monterey and was a little late for my 12:45 appointment. Went in to buy a new iPad. Shout out to Susanna and Amanda for the friendly, personal, informative assistance. I arrived at 11:30 on a Saturday. No wait at all. Five stars for them. At different times, I was helped by two gentlemen. Not as informative. One was even a little sarcastic! The store happened to be over staffed. The extra staff just stood around joking with each other, hugging each other. It didn't seem very professional. Perhaps they could have looked harder to find someone to help or someway to look busy. 2.5 stars. Before purchasing my iPad, I went on amazon to look at covers. Amazon was very specific about getting the right fit. They listed model numbers, which I did not have. I called, what I thought was my local store, to ask about the model number of the item I planned to buy. I believe I reached a call center with a very rude woman on the line. She kept telling me that there were no model numbers. She didn't give me any helpful info, like the fact it is a sixth generation. She then blew her nose, very loudly into the phone and proceeded to hang up on me! (This was at 8:45pm, 9/7). Zero stars. read more

My phone case is less than a year old, and cracked on both sides making the buttons inoperable and defective, but deemed misuse by user, because cases are supposed to be removed from the corners (I was accused of removing the case incorrectly without being asked how I remove the case), which I should have known when I bought the $60 case because I also took time out of my day to attend their iPhone 13 pro case removing class. The entire interaction was deflating, and I knew that I was going to be denied when the associate attempted to disqualify my exchange by looking at my phone and asking it it were a 12 pro. Aging my phone and case, which would have automatically placed the case outside of its warranty. And then I was offer 10% off of a new case. That only covers the sales tax in this great state, thanks Apple. Thanks for making me feel like a valued customer today. read more

The employees were either too busy speaking with one another or would send you down the line to speak to/get help from another employee. I just wanna give a shout out to this Apple store. I was there to get my Apple Watch fixed and was struggling with my two-year-old. One of the employees saw me struggling with her and immediately came over with a laptop and put on Mickey Mouse clubhouse. The genius staff member was nice, but they basically always are. One lady was annoyed that she could not get a genius appointment on the spot. The staff member was courteous even though the customer was totally annoying and clueless. Come on. It is FREE tech support. If you have to make an appt at 8am online? (easy to do, just log on) To get a 2:45pm slot? DO IT. PCs will *never* in a million years give that. I took my phone in just to have the battery changed and they proceeded to tell me the battery isn't an apple battery I was pretty shocked to hear this as I've never had my battery replaced. Apple products have not been the same since Jobs died. There is absolutely no innovation what so ever. Since 2011/12 I have invested in over $7000 in apple products. Before I started buying apple, I never, ever had a software or hardware issue with my computers. In the past 6 months I have had a hard disk drive problem and a display go out--two seperate units. My iphone SE would not work in Carmel, CA dispite having a good carrier and my old backup--iphone4 would not spit out my contacts when I wanted to transfer them to a new phone. The photos, yes, but not the contacts. Explain that one, Apple. Needless to say, you will never, ever see me in another apple store, especially this one. read more

Jeeze louise what a trainwreck this store is. Helpless. Walk in to buy an iPad. Already done your research: you know the model you want and that it's in stock. Great. Tell the greeter "I'm here to buy an iPad". Awesome. She sends you to the iPad counter where an iPad expert is giving an interminable sales demo to an elderly woman who clearly has no intention of buying. You wait. And wait. And wait. 25 minutes - no kidding. Elderly woman leaves without a purchase - shockeroo. You tell the iPad expert what you want. He says, "You're in the wrong place," and sends you toward the front of the store where people are supposed to go when they don't need sales help. You tell him, "But the greeter sent me here." He says, "She made a mistake." Awesome. So now you stand in a line which is supposedly the place where people who know what they want are supposed to be. Except the people in front of you, who also just want to buy an iPad, aren't on the list. What list? The list which the greeter is supposed to put you on when you just want to buy something. Seriously? Apparently. And, you're not on the list either. You ask, "Is there actually a list?" Apparently yes, although no-one currently in line turns out to be on it. See, what should have happened is that the greeter should have asked, "Do you need help choosing an iPad, or do you know the model you want?" Instead she *assumed without asking* that help was needed. This all makes sense, because before you could get her attention she was very focused on telling another employee how great the tacos are which are in the back room. Seemingly she has tacos on the brain instead of customers. You can't blame her for that, 'cos apparently those are some wicked killer tacos. So she sent you and everyone else to the wrong place, and the fellow at the wrong place sent you all to the right place without adding you to the list which is required if you're to be allowed to buy things from the fellow at the right place, because seemingly only the greeter can add you to lists, no-one else, and the greeter's busy with taco talk. GOT ALL THAT? Me neither. Nor anyone else. Myself, the couple in line ahead of me, and the fellow in line behind me *all left without buying iPads*, which is what we came there to do. Complete, utter disaster of poorly trained, unsupervised employees with no idea what they're supposed to do or anyone else is supposed to do or how their system works or who does what in their ridiculous trainwreck of a disastrous store. No, really. It's that absurd. Dear Apple: simple fix. Fire the manager and put someone there who knows as much about training employees as they know about ordering wicked great tacos.
