Great job .... Very professional and the laptop was ready in one day. I will use him again if I need assistance.

Steve came to my home to set up my new computer. There were several glitches that he handled quickly and efficiently. He walked me through the nuances of Windows 11 and made sure all of my passwords worked for an easy transition. I am impressed with his knowledge and problem solving. He made a stressful situation run smoothly. He was on time, fairly priced and I could not be happier with his service. Thank you, Steve. -Highly recommend!! read more

Steve is a straight up professional and an excellent communicator. He provided an estimate for the work, sent notification of the parts order he placed, the tracking number when it was on the way, and met up with me at my earliest convenience to do my repair. It took 20 minutes, as promised. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I had to share my experience with I Will Repair - Mobile. I was trying to fix two MacBook Pros and was prepared to spend over $1,000, but thanks to his honesty and expert advice, I ended up saving all that money. It's rare to find someone with such incredible integrity and business ethics. He didn't try to upsell or push unnecessary repairs, just gave me the honest truth and the best solution. If I could give him 100 stars, I absolutely would. A true professional and a gem in this business! BC Carmel by the Sea, CA read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Steve is a God-send! We're currently in town for a conference and the home button on my husband's iPhone cracked and was no longer working. Steve helped us troubleshoot a solution over the phone and it worked!!! No charge and we didn't even have to come in! I am beside myself with at how quick he was to help us and how patient he was as he walked us through the process. I highly recommend Steve for your iPhone repair needs! This man knows his stuff and truly has your best interest at heart -- a rare find these days. Thank you Steve!!! read more

Very informative, honest & helpful. Most repair shops act like used car salesmen. He was fully transparent & recommended the best option for me even though it was getting it done with apple. read more

Although I didn't need an actual repair for my iPhone I did need some help. The man who I spoke with was extremely friendly and very helpful. He took time to explain things to me that the Apple Store didn't help me with. If I ever require a repair for my phone this will be the place I will come to and recommend. Thank you for answering my questions about my iPhone!! read more

Steve is fantastic. I messaged him on yelp regarding a quote to fix my computer that randomly glitches. He asked me some questions to see if it was even worth getting evaluated. I responded and then stalled on bringing it in. A few weeks later I called him and explained the issue again over the phone, he immediately recognized the issue and me and was super helpful. It turns out that I cannot have 15 tabs open on my browser at the same time or else my computer memory has an issue. Without charging me, he was able to help me fix the issue. I'll be going to him for computer issues in the future! read more

This man gave me service even though I didn't spend a dime. He's all about serving the community. See him first before anyone else!

Fast turn around, no BS, honest, professional, and true to their estimates are a few positives about I will. I had dropped off my iPhone Xs and it was done in less than one hour. I had also dropped off my Mavic Pro Drone for a vibration plate replacement and it was fixed in no time. They were upfront about not having experience on this product, but I understood the risk and asked them to take a crack at it and they came through with precision. I dropped off the same drone for a gimbal cable repair. This is a very common failure on this model and parts are very cheap, but the labor is not. After discussing the situation, I agreed to do some of the breakdown myself and they would physically replace the cable. No other place near Monterey does this repair and I was very pleased with the results. Saved me from having to send my drone to Sacramento. Highly recommend I will and I hope I won't need their services any time soon, but they'll be my repair shop of choice when I break CHIT ! read more

Not that one would know by the signage but this place doubles as a UPS delivery pick up. Ryan Ranch gave us only the address so after a baffling expedition, I went in to claim our packages. All I can say is the owner would do well to first repair his attitude and if he took on this service to attract foot traffic then act like it. Or give it up if it is too bothersome to help folks when no one else is in the place. I WILL REPAIR should be wondering if I WILL SURVIVE and I don't know what business can afford to be less-than-courteous and unhelpful in a small town and in this economy. Perhaps the proprietor has a different business plan. But here is a tip: Give a few business cards, if you have them, to the UPS PICK UP agents at Ryan Ranch so they might better direct customers to you. And pretend everyone who enters your shop is not there to ruin your day of interrupt your privacy. After reading your reply to me and to others here I've got two words for you:... and they ARE Good Luck. read more

I'm so glad to have I Will Repair right downtown in Monterey - it's super convenient and Steve and his team are super proficient. They fixed my phone screen in a jiffy, had charging cables on sale (I bought 2!) and gave me pointers on how to avoid being hacked. That is to say, I didn't just feel like they cared about fixing phones/computers but also about making sure their customers avoid issues and keep devices healthy. Rare to find! P.S.: Worth a mention: I especially like that they are also supporting one of my favorite nonprofits, GI Josie, and a local school as well. read more

I dropped my phone and noticed a star crack on the screen. I passed " I will repair" a few times as I walked around Monterey. So I walked in to see if it could be repaired and how much. I was met by a pleasant man and as I talked to him, he came across to me has being knowledgeable. The cost of the repair was close to what I estimated it should be. The screen had to be special ordered and I paid extra for next day delivery. The next day, I got a call telling me the part was delivered and to come in and it'll be fixed in about an hour and half. NOW THE REAL REASON FOR THIS REVIEW!! When I can back in two hours ready to pay for my repaired phone, I was in for a very pleasent surprise. It seems that my screen protector had actually protected my phone! The star pattern and cracked lines were in the protector. The screen itself was undamaged. When the guy informed me. I was speachless. Here I was ready to pay the man and he said it didn't need repair!! An HONEST Man? In this day and age of dog eat dog. Most places (people) would have not said anything and either replaced the screen or more likely do nothing. Just take the money. Not this guy. He refunded my 50% deposit minus the cost of returning the special order part. So I entered the place expecting to pay but I left with my deposit minus some money I gave him for his trouble. So if you live in the Monterey Bay area (I live out of state ) and need your phone or computer fixed. I'd stop by and talk to him before anyone else. It was a pleasure to deal with a HONEST man read more

Once again, I can highly recommend Steve who is a skilled expert in repairing computers. Beyond that Steve has assisted me in the updating and installation of the new phone system in my house. Steve is also a problem solver in that he was able to locate the source of an annoying buzzing sound that was occurring in my home. This had been going on for months and I resorted to hiring an electrician to come over and have a look. Couldn't help me. No luck. Steve came over and he found the source of the buzzing and now that problem has been resolved. I am so relieved. His charges are reasonable and he will come to your home. I now have Steve on speed-dial. read more

Don't expect warm and fuzzy. Just honest and knows what he's doing! I needed my phone to last couple more month! He was honest that carrier may not support it much longer. In and out 30 minutes. Very reasonable. Or you can stay on phone with apple support wanting Apple ID just to transfer you you to local store. Highly recommend! read more

My son's iBuy Power computer we bought in 2020 from Costco was making a terrible sound due to the fan not working correctly. I called Steve and he had so much knowledge over the phone that I knew he was the one for the job. I took it in and he schooled me on the difference between air cooled and water cooled computers and the pros and cons of each. My son's particular computer is water cooled. Steve first checked with me to make sure the price of everything was ok and then ordered everything for repair. Steve was able to repair everything that was wrong with the radiator and fan within a couple days! The computer is working better than ever! read more

I had a broken screen and needed a new battery for my iPhone. I reached out and received an incredibly quick response and super fair pricing. Came in on a Sunday to fix a cracked iPhone screen (phone display went totally black) and were completely satisfied with the service. This place delivered a fast yet thorough diagnostic and repair with fair prices and a detailed explanation before and after service. read more

The owner was honest and told me I would be better off simply buying a new (refurbished) iPad and pointed me toward a company that had significantly better prices than anything I had found on my own. He could have simply fixed my screen (which would have cost more than the refurbished iPad!) and kept quiet to earn a quick buck. Obviously, the reviews about his honestly and integrity both here and on other sites as well, are well deserved. I took his advice this time but if (ok, let's be honest - WHEN!) I need to repair any of my devices and I'm in Monterey - I will definitely have them serviced here. read more

Bf brought his phone in on Christmas Eve. This was the only store open that day. Thank god!! Steve replaces his camera lens within 40 minutes. My MAC book pro (older model) finally had it last day. As a local business owner, I took it Steve, to keep the local business flowing. He explained how the computer model has a history of issues, reviewed the diagnostic process to figure out what the issues could be. We were able to come up with a plan 1) figure out the issues 2) get the hard drive information transferred to an external drive, incase the computer could not be fixed 3) he provided a recommendation for a business ( online and with an APP) refurbished computers with warranty. Outcome: computer could not be fixed, hard drive was transferred to a refurbished computer found on the recommended business. Steve, kept me updated every step of the way, he quite knowledgeable-amazingly so. Steve, Thanks for your help and send my thanks to folks who helped out. Keep it Local! read more

One day before online instruction began, my iMAC's internal camera stopped working. I had taken my iPhone to Steve at I Will Repair previously and had been impressed by his knowledge, insight, spot-on diagnosis, and swift repair (after all, who can live without their phone these days?). I also knew that he was the go-to for a local school. So I Will Repair was my first call when my iMac went on the fritz. Steve immediately offered a short-term solution: a Logitech camera he had on hand that he had repaired. $20! Excellent. I also asked him to take a look for other reasons my computer was sluggish. His findings were eye-popping. Using optimization tools and anti-virus software, he found 4 thriving malwares (including a Trojan) plus 300 gb of junk. The slow processing issue was addressed - and solved. But something else happened along the way: Steve educated me about my hardware, about software interface, about what's good - and what's bad - about trusting the Cloud. He helped me clean up my act, too. After working on my iMac for hours, and installing 2 sharewares to protect my system going forward, he's sticking to his original cost quote. I came into this place and got a new screen put on my phone by this clown. He charged me $375. I got a couple drops of water on it when I was eating and it just completely stopped working. So I went back into his store to talk to him and he tells me "its common sense and everyone knows when you change the screen it no longer has any water proofing." And he says I'm "stupid" for not knowing that. Sure would of been nice if he would of mentioned that to me before I had it fixed cause I would of just got a new phone. Thus guy is very rude also. I called when I got to his shop to see when he would be back. He says "two minutes" and just hangs up. Not how you should treat customers. I do NOT recommend this jerk off. Go somewhere anywhere else! And to respond to your ignorant response. The difference if you would of told me is I WOULDNT OF HAD THE SCREEN FIXED BY YOU INSTEAD I WOULD OF JUST GOT A NEW PHONE FOR INSTEAD OF PAYING $375. YOU CANT "ASSUME" PEOPLE JUST KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT REPAIRING PHONES SINCE THIS IS THE FIRST ONE FOR ME. Don't call your customers STUPID and you won't get your glass kicked. Had a screen on a phone repaired by this business and it was quickly repaired at a reasonable price, however, the customer service was horrible. The attitude on the repairman was arrogant, curt, inflexible, and condescending. They should keep him in the back and let him do the repairs, while someone with people skills runs the front. If you question any of this review, please refer to his response to Ricky P's review. That's the attitude you will be faced with. read more

I had a great experience at I will repair! Steve listened attentively to my concerns with my MacBook and diagnosed my laptop( based on my concerns) immediately. Steve explained what he had done to fix my concerns in language I understood. It was simple and the fee was very reasonable. I plan to use his services in the future! read more

Steve did a great job fixing two iPhones for me. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and finished my repairs quickly.

The repair service itself was great, reasonably-priced and the owner stayed after closing to finish my screen replacement while I waited. I'm dinging the service because the owner wasn't wearing a mask for coronavirus protection, which I didn't notice until after my phone's was already taken apart on his desk. When I asked him about it, he said he didn't believe in masks, that the science doesn't support them, and that he's had his business open for 77 days as an essential business without a mask and without incident. He does not know who has unknowingly. He's entitled to his opinion but he should at least put a sign on his door or a note on his website (or told me when I called) that he is ignoring the health department's mandate. Update based on owner's response: I am a customer with a customer experience. This forum is precisely the place to let potential customers know that your business does not comply with current Monterey business operating standards and that they may be risking their health by entering. Why wouldn't you want potential customers to know of your refusal or inability to wear a mask so that they can make an informed choice on whether to interact with you? It still takes some getting used to so I did not notice you weren't wearing a mask until you coughed and it was too late by then. Ironically, this business sells masks at the front of the store. read more

He didn't fix anything. Instead, he told me that the water damage on my cell phone would be expensive to repair and that he couldn't guarantee the repair. He suggested instead that I simply get a new phone. That it would be cheaper and more reliable than a repair. In a time when honesty in business is rare, this man shines brightly. I am going to tell all of my friends and family about him. I can't say enough how technically adept he is and HONEST. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

Steve was great and was the saving grace for our computer that had extensive water damage. We originally took the computer into Apple and was told they could rebuild the computer but ALL data would be lost, or send the computer into a DataSavers company which could run 1-2 thousand dollars. Our computer was not backed up(lesson learned) and I needed that data off the computer. It had over 20 IMovie projects from vacations I had been on and documents from my wife's masters program. We brought the computer over to Steve and he worked with his team over the next couple weeks and retrieved all of our data in which we were able to upload via TimeMachine on our new MAC we had purchased. Great updates and feedback throughout the process, would definitely use his company again for any computer/phone needs. read more

First of all, I am grateful that the business was open after I left work at 6:00 PM on a Friday. The home button on my older iPod had slipped out of place. I expected it would be hard to fix and I would have had to leave my iPod for a few days. Although a more permanent fix would be costly (more than the iPod was worth), the owner assisted me by quickly identifying the problem and assessing a workable solution within a few minutes. The charge for the quick fix was very reasonable. I really appreciate the quick service I received. I will be back if I need any computer or phone repairs in the future.
