Food: We really loved their "Devils on Horseback" which were their bacon covered dates. We also really liked their crab rangoon!! The strawberry habanero jelly that came with it was so tasty! It was sweet, but had a definite kick from the habanero at the back of the throat. Unfortunately, they were out of the deviled eggs that we wanted to try. Drinks: We ordered the Passion Symphony (super refreshing), the Sacre Bleu (even more refreshing), the Flaming Youth (super sweet, but wouldn't recommend if you don't want a dessert for a drink), and an earl grey old fashion. My boyfriend wanted to try the chai tea OF, but they were out of that, so the barista substituted it with earl grey. Service: The baristas were nice, but the service was kind of slow for both food and drinks. Ambiance: Very chill! I liked that everyone was very casual. The place itself was small and definitely felt like a speakeasy! Overall good place, just be prepared to wait a bit if it's pretty full. Make sure to go on their website to check how to get a reservation.
Fun little speakeasy in Old Town Temecula! They are a pretty small spot so best to call to make a reservation. They are located within a restaurant, Devilicious, so pretty easy to find. The bartenders are really nice and friendly and will find a drink that fits your palette. They even made a different drink when we didn't like one! I got the S'Mores drink and it was fun to watch them smoke the marshmallow. They also serve small plates here too that are great for sharing!
First time visiting a speakeasy, and I can understand the popularity. The bar is conveniently located behind a wall by the register. My friends and I spontaneously decided to visit here without knowing it was a speakeasy nor that reservations are recommended, but the staff here were very accommodating and allowed us to enter as walk-ins after waiting around 30 minutes. The cocktail menu is fairly moderate with a brief description of each drink along with a history of how speakeasies came to be/how Apparition Room was founded. Our bartender Saus? (I apologize if I spelled it wrong) he told us his name is like hot sauce, was very fun to converse with and the drinks here were great. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
Very small so I wouldn't want to go at peak hours but the vibe is cool and dark. I don't really like the animals on the walls but I like the seating and tucked away corner rooms. Bar staff were friendly and patient. They were out of the only good food options though. So we just got one drink- the Campfire Sour. It's a fun experience. They roast the marshmallow in front of you at the bar and use the smoke from the marshmallow to coat the cup before filling it. It did have a slight marshmallow flavor and best of all, you get to eat the roasted marshmallow too!
Great drinks and atmosphere. Small, hidden location so not good for large groups. Definitely a great place to catch up and talk while enjoying a wide variety of delicious drinks!!
My friend who brought me and my fiancé together was visiting again and we went out to old town Temecula Saturday night and after dinner at baileys, I told them about this place as I had been here once before and knew how awesome it was. And man, was she impressed. My fiancé had never been here either and he liked it. The drinks were amazing as I remember. I love the old 20's outfits with the arm cuffs and everything. It's so cool. The decor is amazing! You gotta check this out!
This is a fun little speakeasy located inside of Devilicious. I've been a handful of times now with different friends and we've all had a nice experience at each visit. The most recent was a few weeks before Christmas when my girlfriends and I wanted to get festive Christmas cocktails. We each tried something different and they were all pretty tasty. Their regular cocktail menu is pretty good, too. I'm unsure if they're still on the menu, but my friend and I once had the bacon-wrapped dates which were absolutely delicious. It's a fun place to stop in if you have time!
Everyone here is so attentive and kind. They're very knowledgeable and know their stuff especially whenever I ask off menu items. It can get pretty busy but they're always offering a smile and wonderful customer service, creating each visit a nice experience. One of the couple speakeasies in Old Town Temecula. Fun 1920s atmosphere. Easy entrance through Devilicious, although it isn't so secret. Make sure to make reservations beforehand. You have to text a number and work out the details with someone to make the reservation. Drinks are some of the best I've ever had. I ordered a gin drink off the menu but my friend had a custom-made one from the bartender and it was amazing. They asked for her likes and dislikes and made her a floral vodka drink - I had a sip and it tasted like cotton candy. She said it was the best drink she's ever had. They also have a small menu for food but it's more like small appetizers. We ordered some mushrooms and it was an extremely small portion so I recommend getting your food elsewhere. Area itself is very small. If it's packed, you'll have people seated right next to you and behind you. Two hour max with reservation.

Boy, does it pain me to write this review. I had looked forward to visiting this Old Town speakeasy since we moved to Temecula over two years ago, and fully expected to love this place. Friends got 7pm reservations on a Sunday night (and were instructed that we had to be out by 9pm), and we entered through that "secret door" at the Devilicious hostess station. Our friends were bummed that we couldn't sit at the bar and watch the drinks being made but frankly, I thought the room where we were seated off the main bar area was cozier with sofas and comfy chairs. Every seat at the crowded bar was taken and while that would be great for just two people, I thought our seating was much better (and quieter) for two couples to be able to enjoy cocktails and converse. On to the drinks! Kassidy was mixing at the bar. Although our server Ryan seemed rushed, he did give some whiskey guidance and we ordered a Buffalo Trace whiskey tasting to start. Smoked old-fashioneds were out as we were told their "smoker was broken". I ordered an Aviation, which should be a gorgeous pale purple from the crème de violette. Instead, mine was served barely cold, with no garnish, and green in color! It was clearly not an Aviation, which would have been fine had it been more chilled. And please, you're a speakeasy - all cocktails should be garnished! We probably would have ordered some small bites, but Ryan was quite busy and never asked. With wait times for the whiskey tasting and our drinks, there was no time for food or another round. Last call came at 8:10 for their 9pm close. Overall, I was sadly underwhelmed by the Apparition Room. While I'd love to try it again to see if it was just a bad night, I'd definitely opt for the fairly new "36522 Distillery at Oak Mountain" if you want the speakeasy experience. We visited recently and were totally wowed by the ambiance, service and cocktails (all made with their own distilled spirits!)
This was a cool place to come to. The drinks were good and once we were seated the service was great. Prior to that we did not have a reservation and had checked in and were told they were going to let the bartenders catch up on making the drinks for those already sitting inside. We were waiting by the bench as instructed but another couple that was a walk up were seated immediately. The Christmas decorations were really cool and their holiday drinks were served in mugs that matched the drink. They weren't able to do any substitutions to any of the holiday drinks but the bartender was able to make a drink similar with my drink of choice.
I love speakeasy bars!!! What a cool spot for a speakeasy. Inside a sandwich type of joint, the speakeasy is behind the host desk. Really cool! We had some drinks and a couple apps. The service was good, bartenders were knowledgeable, and they have the biggest Green Chartreuse bottle I've ever seen!!

My husband and I wanted to grab drinks out after having some Thanksgiving leftovers, so I went to Yelp to find something new to try. I zeroed in on the Apparition Room and thought it would be perfect since we both like craft cocktails. But I'm glad I went on the website and saw you need to make a reservation! So I texted the number and they responded pretty quickly. We got in because it was early and were seated in no time at the bar. I told the bartender to surprise me with something not too sweet but holiday-ish. It had a hot toddy-esque flavor with cinnamon and spice to it. (It was vodka based as well) I was very impressed. My husband got the Faux Pas but with a twist to it. He loved it and I also thought it was pretty smooth. His second drink was the sleight of hand- the interesting part was they lit the rosemary on fire to get the smoke essence to it and then placed it in the drink with half of it out of the drink. My last drink was the midnight shadow. Another vodka based drink since I'm not a bourbon or whiskey drinker. I was intrigued by the egg white and lavender in the list of ingredients. It was very unique- creamy with the egg white, slightly citrusy with the lemon, and sweet due to the cane sugar. Very good! Overall, this place is a hidden gem in old town Temecula. We will definitely be back and bring some friends who appreciate great craft cocktails as well. Be sure to make a reservation before you come- you won't regret it! read more

Last night was my bachelor party and I was honored to be brought into this establishment. I came here a week prior and had no clue this was even here behind a hidden wall. The beauty of the experience was the mixologist can make a concoction of your flavor and taste you want to experience. I asked for a Reposada Tequila and was blown away with distinct citrus/cinnamon at time drinks (see video). Definitely an experience I'll never forget and definitely coming back with my soon to be wife. By far my favorite speakeasy to date! My girlfriend and I came up for her birthday from San Diego for some wine tasting & dinner over in the vineyard part of town. But I love Old Town Temecula so much we had to stop for a drink. We randomly stumbled upon this super classy and very groovy speakeasy! I am so bummed I don't live closer because I definitely would be a bar stool in this establishment if I did. The good news is it's only just an hour away so we will for sure be back! I ordered a classic Sidecar and she got a Mai Tai. Both were incredibly delish! On our way out we had the awesome luck of watching the mixologist make a Camp Fire. Now that was super cool! The presentation of that drink alone is why we'll be making a trip up so we can order! The bar staff were some of the nicest fellas. Completely knowledgeable and so friendly. Don't tell anyone about this awesome private little speakeasy . There is a hidden door in the wall of Devilicious which leads to apparition room! They make excellent quality custom classic cocktails like a Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Great place to go with a friend or two. It's narrow and small and you need to have reservations. The Apparition Room was definitely a novel experience that I'd have to recommend to everyone! It's essentially a speakeasy that's of course hidden so make sure you text them to make a reservation ahead of time! Their menu consists of two columns--the left being classics and the right being the establishment's twist on classic drinks. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I were too full from dinner to try more than one drink but the round of drinks that we did order was exceptional. I ordered Old Man and the Sea while my boyfriend got Keep Calm and Drink like James Bond. The presentation of both drinks was also amazing! If only we had more room to try out more cocktails on their menu Nevertheless, I think everyone should give this place a try if you're ever in the area. First time actually at this location. The nostalgia of going to a location that is kinda secretive is pretty awesome. We went there on Sunday night. No crowds was great and we really got the chance to enjoy the place and mingle with the staff. There is so much liquor here, the decor matches that of a 1920's or 30's bar, and the music was era fitting and awesome. Mo and Alejandro took care of us the whole evening. Every drink that Mo made for us was amazing. He sat with us, asked us a few questions and mixed some drinks for us based on out flavor profiles. We got some appetizers and WOW! This place is awesome. Tucked away behind the restaurant called Devilicious. Friendly staff and amazing drinks. Yes the drinks can be pricey, but they have a wide range of drinks and you can't beat the chill vibe. Knowledgeable mixologists that can guide you toward satisfaction. Our mixologist, Dathan was great. The next time you come down to Temecula for wine tasting....set aside a night to have some amazing drinks. read more

Loved the vibe of the place. The bar was full when we got there, so they sat us at a wall facing the bar that had a long narrow shelf that can fit like your cellphone or maybe a drink depending on the glass size. Definitely not the right seats if you want food. Didn't care for that seating. Eventually the bar itself opened and we were able to sit there and it was much better since we wanted to order food. Our bartender Joel was AMAZING and he had several good suggestions to try for drinks. All of our drinks were delicious and he catered them just right. This speakeasy is classy and intimate, right smack in old town temecula. This place's capacity is small so reservations are best. It's inside of another restaurant so it's a secret door. They have signature cocktails and delicious food. The truffle oil potato chips and charcuterie board were delicious and well made! The bartender will make you drinks with your favorite spirit off the menu and create to your taste which is so nice. Came here tonight on a date. You come in through Devilicious. Alan greeted us and showed us inside. You do need a reservation to get it. The atmosphere is so luxurious. It's small, so the bartenders and very attentive and willing to answer questions. And the drinks are STRONG! I can't wait to come back. read more

My husband and I checked this place out this past Saturday. We had a great time first time to a speakeasy. We were out on a day date and I have wanted to check this place out . They have a SOCIAL HOUR from 2-5 no reservations needed . The decor was awesome . Service was great . Bartender and waiter very nice and attentive. Drinks were fun and strong . Place is a little pricey but in my opinion worth it for the experience. read more

I see the door behind the bar....... my question is, do we just walk on in behind the bar and go thru the door? Or is there access thru the passage way where the bathroom is?
You have to have reservations but the door is right behind the hostess table.
