We ordered two large pizzas on Friday August 2nd to be picked up at 6:30pm. One Hawaiian and the other green pepper and onions. We brought the pizzas to a family get together and not one person could even finish a slice because they were just awful. The pepper and onions was incredibly dry and the Hawaiian was too soggy. A go to spot for authentic Italian food and great service. I wish I could bring myself to order a pizza that wasn't the Montague but the love for it is so much that every visit we order it. It's seriously that good. Big fan of the sweet and salty and this covers that perfectly. Caramélized onions and sweet sticky figs on a toasted slice with goat cheese. We ordered several pizza's and each one was delicious. Absolutely a great pizza and excellent sauce. The garlic rolls were very good. The salads were good. The ambiance is very nice and our server was excellent. My only complain was we brought 2 cakes celebrating our son and daughter's birthdays and they charged us $25 per cake to serve and cut. I still recommend this restaurant, it was the best pizza we have had in awhile, everyone loved it and we were 12 people in our group. read more

This new location for Apizza Brooklyn is very nice. With an industrial look and a modern vibe it is a place that still makes you feel comfortable and welcoming. Some things remain the same like an open firewood oven and pizza station while everything else comes from the back. We ordered a few different things to get a feel of the kitchen so we had a large cheese pizza pie, a salmon salad, linguine with clam sauce and some apps like fried calamari and butternut squash soup. All except for the pizza was excellent. That is why only four stars. The pizza had a few extra minutes in the oven which turn the dough hard and dry. I will be back and try the pizza again. I'm sure that this was an oversight as pizza from the other location is exceptional. The butternut squash soup and the salmon salad were simply delicious. Very light and all flavors nicely balanced as was the linguini with clams. Also much pleasing is a nice bar area where a large wine display hangs on the wall. We regularly dine here and were there on Friday, took some friends that had never been. We're disappointed by 2 things: 1st, the mozzarella frita appetizer 's breading was hard, not as it's usually with delicious breading. 2nd, at the end of our meal, someone turned on the lights with still 3 tables of guests sitting and finishing the meals! That was totally unacceptable and the leather table complained but they did nothing, left lights on! No matter what time the restaurant posts its opening until, if guests are still dining, lights should not be turned on as if they were kicking everyone out! I find this strange as management here is usually very attentive and doubt this would have been approved. Shame our friends 1st impression was not great! read more

Had finished work in the area rather early, and looked for a few places to eat. Was almost going to walk into Matsuri, but ended up falling for my desire to have pizza, and thus, my affair with Apizza Brooklyn was beginning. I have been to this location three times, with two of them being on the same day (once by myself, then with a coworker), so that says something. When I walked in the first time, they had just started to write the daily specials on the board. I took my time and decided on something from it, and I was seated promptly by Daniela, towards the back, where I asked, so I could see the pizza oven. I did not survey the menu too mych, as I was immediately taken by the tri-color fusilli with saffron sauce. She commented that it was a great choice and went to the back to get me settled in. She brought me a glass of the house Malbec, which was very good. For a simple dish, the presentation was well executed. Most of the sauce was underneath, and not coating the pasta in its entirety. The saffron was notable all throughout the sauce and gave it an excellent taste. My only gripe, and the reason that this review is a 4/5, is that the chicken was unforgivably tasteless - it had no salt nor seasoning whatsoever. I have returned for other dishes, but this experience sums up my opinion. Excellent for a great part of it, but falls short on key details. Would still continue to return, and hopefully to slightly improved food. It's all it takes. read more

Just have to say the service and positive vibes at this place are off the charts. From the minute you walk in everyone is smiling and falling all over you trying to help. I felt guilty as we had an hour wait to eat sushi next door so 7 of us were pregaming at this fine establishment. But we've eaten here many times and it's always great. The food we had tonight was awesome. We warmed up with apps, some beers, Pinot Grigio, and their Malbec wine special(Alta Vista, served at the right temperature). We really enjoyed the calamari (giant rings of goodness), meatballs that were delicious and the garlic knots (we opted out of the garlic, bread was awesome). My favorite pizza spot in Miami by far! I have gone here 10+ times and it always hits the spot. My favorite appetizer has to be the calamari and fried zucchini. There's a great selection of wine as well. The pizza and pizza options are phenomenal. My go to is the Meat Luva pizza but the Montague St. pizza was a unique one that I have tried and highly recommend if you want something different! The pasta dishes are great as well. I have not eaten here in at least a year but the current quality of the food is such a disappointment. Appetizer - Fried Mozzarella The red sauce is not what it used to be. Other than being sweet there is no flavor to the red sauce. The appetizer was hot. Garlic Knots The garlic knots were cold and borderline stale with barely any garlic and oil on them. Salad - the spicy vinaigrette was great Chicken Parm - Chicken was too thick that you didn't get crispness. The red sauce was not good. See above. The meal was hot so a plus Pear pasta- The gorgonzola sauce was actually grainy and not smooth but tasty. It did not compliment the pear because I tasted none of the sweetness. The meal was hot. Wine - Inscription was great. Temp was perfect. Dessert Chocolate cake is still on point! A must have. Temp in the restaurant was uncomfortable. In the end, the wait staff was great and turnaround of hot food from the kitchen was great too. When 85% of your menu has red sauce as a staple, and said sauce is severely lacking. I just can't justify a good rating. Please let me know when you fix the red sauce so I can come back to eat at Apizza Brooklyn, as I will not waste my money with how it is right now. read more

I've come here a few times pre and during COVID. They have some nice outdoor seating for a few people which is great if you're looking for it. The service has always been great and everyone is always friendly. Let's get down to the real reason you're all here tho. The food. The pizza? It's good! Order it if you're in the mood. My friends did but they messed up, not because it's bad but because you're committing a crime. Heck its a damn travesty if you order anything besides the lasagna. Let's just say it changed my life. I took one bite and my nervous system instinctively caused my eyes to roll back in flavorful ecstasy. The first time I tried it I gave a bite to my friend and she started crying. We still don't know if it was because of how good it was or because she made the mistake of NOT ordering it. It's the best lasagna I've had in South Florida. I'll die defending this hill of melty cheese, soft pasta, delicious sauce, and savory meat. Never been to Apizza Brooklyn although I believe they have other locations. Came in during the week with some co-workers during lunch time. Place: Very nice restaurant. It has an industrial modern feel which I found pleasing to the eyes and the lighting brings it all together giving a comfortable and intimate vibe. At the back of the restaurant they have the open fire pizza oven and pizza prep station with the kitchen directly behind that. This layout is nice because everything comes to the front. Service: Our waitress and service was excellent. We received our food quickly and our waitress provided us with updates and checked on us frequently. Food: I ordered the margarita pizza very fresh ingredients used, nice thin crust with the perfect crunch. For desert, we shared a calzone filled with Nutella...yummy. This is the first time that I've eaten @ this location. When we first walked in we were immediately greeted, as I looked around everything seemed neat, clean & inviting. Upon seating we were handed Menus, and asked what our beverage order was. Menu exactly as other location in Pinecrest, which is a good thing, since I almost know it by heart lol. Hubby & I shared a Mediterranean Salad & a Margherita Neapolitan Pizza. I was hungry so I was so glad that salad didn't take forever to arrive @ our table & NOT only that! But it looked "Beautifully delicious"! Portion is big so hubby & I had no tug of war over sharing . (May I add that their Homemade Salad Dressing is delish! Simple, tasty & well... beautiful color...I know it's dressing but come on !!! who wants ugly, unappealing salad dressing, right????). Needless to say finished that & a few minutes later the Neapolitan Pizza arrived. It was " Exactly what I was hoping it would be"!!!. Thin, cheesy, "PERFECT" sauce!!! Oh... & we asked for Jalapeños on top so... FIRE!!!!! Oh my... so goooood, with every bite I could just taste all the perfect blends of sauce, cheese, jalapeños, basil, OLIVE OIL!!!!. Overall experience was very nice, waiter was nice but lacked friendliness, did not order dessert nor coffee since we were stuffed. Looking forward to returning... very sooooon.
