I waited for about 10mins before I finally left. THEN as I'm TRYING to leave, this woman grabbed my arm trying to force me to stay, telling me someone would come start with me. It didn't matter how many times I told her it was okay, they're busy, I can come back another day, she still kept her hands on my arms squeezing them. I managed to leave. I deceived to give them another try. Everything was great until it was time to pay. I chose a basic pedicure which is $35 on the price menu, I got French tip. Tell me why, as she's checking me out, my total is suddenly $50!!!!!! I told her I think she made a mistake and she said no. Do you know these people charged me to take off my nail polish and told me it was because I had gel nail polish when i told them atleast 5 different occasions it was regular polish. The lady who originally started on my toes told her the same thing, it was regular polish YET she still tried to insist I had gel polish. I had to get back to work so I told them I'd pay now and come back later since I work across the street. She did not care at all that I said that bc she started painting my toes. She asked if I wanted a hot towel, I told her no. She said it won't add time bc she will wrap the towel around my legs and do my toes at the same time, I said it's okay but she said it won't affect the time so I gave in and said yes. Do you know they charged me for all those services and not ONCE told me anything would be an additional fee. It took the customers in the nail salon to stand up for me instead of her staff. I told her not once did they say it would cost extra for French tip. Not once did they said it would cost extra to wrap a .3 second warm towel around my leg NOR did I come in with gel polish. She really tried to argue me down and I hate that. I was ready to call the police because excuse me? The only reason I didn't is because a customer said she would pay the difference and even then, the staff started trying to yell at her and tell her she couldn't pay for my nails. Very sweet of the customer but understand that wasn't the issue. They try to get over on people so bad. Why in the world would I need or want all those extra services done in my freaking lunch break. The very nice tip I was going to give completely went away. I will never come back to this place. I should've sewed them for the first encounter. Respectfully, fuck these people. They asked the younger daughter about gel and she said no multiple times. Guess what, they painted her nails with gel. I went to pay and I was absolutely shocked by the prices, definitely not $25 as I was told, plus a surcharge now to use a credit card. Not only did I way overpay (no price transparency at all) but now I "get" to pay to have my daughter's gel nails removed after 2 weeks because she cannot keep them for cheer. I'm very particular about my nails, and since my regular nail technician moved, I started looking for a new salon. I chose Nail Salon First and Spa because of all the outstanding reviews on google , so I went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, my first appointment was disappointing from the start. My appointment lasted over three hours, which is by far the longest nail appointment I've ever had. Even the technician asked me and my husband, who was sitting next to me, if something was wrong. I replied that I was tired, but honestly, a fill should not take over three hours. I bring my own custom pink acrylic powder because I have a very specific color that I love. When I came in for my fill, it had been about four weeks, so it was completely understandable that my right thumb needed to be redone from scratch. They rebuilt the nail and charged me about $5 for the replacement. What wasn't understandable was that the brand-new thumb they had just rebuilt broke in less than three days. My acrylics normally last about four weeks, even though I type constantly at work, so having a freshly rebuilt nail fail that quickly was very surprising. When I called, the owner/manager told me they would fix it at no charge, which I appreciated. However, when I arrived, the experience became even more disappointing. The owner/manager, who greets customers and manages appointments, was getting a pedicure while checking people in. I found that very unprofessional. She told me to sit at a manicure station and that someone skilled in the repair I needed would be with me shortly. My original technician was working on another client and said she'd be with me soon. While I waited, I witnessed her carrying on a personal conversation with her co-worker in another language while completely ignoring the elderly client she was working on. The client repeatedly had to say the technician's name and eventually raised her voice to ask if she was listening. Watching that interaction made me uncomfortable. Regardless of the language being spoken, clients deserve their technician's full attention during their appointment, especially when they are paying for that service. Eventually, another technician looked at my broken nail. In my past experiences, whenever I've broken an acrylic nail, the technician has always removed the damaged acrylic and rebuilt the nail from scratch to ensure it was strong and matched the rest of the set. Instead, she simply added acrylic over the damaged area, built up one side, and applied my pink powder over it. Acrylic should not simply be layered over old, damaged acrylic. The result is a crooked, uneven nail that looks nothing like the rest of my set. I'm embarrassed by how it looks and now have to look at it every day. Nail appointments are supposed to leave you feeling confident, not disappointed. The pictures don't even do it justice--it's honestly much worse in person. The nail is so crooked and uneven that the photos don't fully capture how bad the workmanship actually is. Overall, I experienced extremely long appointments, poor durability, inconsistent repair work, and a level of professionalism that did not meet my expectations. I chose this salon because of its excellent reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing like what I expected. I will never return. If you're okay with paying for poor workmanship, spending hours in the salon, and receiving unprofessional customer service, then this may be the salon for you. As for me, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I wanted to try SNS and was glad I came here! The person who did my manicure was super gentle and made sure to remove my gel nail polish completely before starting on my nails.
