It does not seem hygienic or sanitary. The dogs followed me into the room and one of them just jumped up on to the chair with me. The technician working on me did not even ask if I was okay with the dogs being in the room with me. Throughout the session, I would hear her speaking to the dogs. She started with a stencil on the back of my hand, that part turned out the best, though it still didn't fully match the photo I brought. When I asked her to continue the design onto my fingers to match the reference, the front desk assistant pulled out several stencils to try to match it, but none of them looked right. The artist ended up freehanding the fingers while referencing my photo, but the lines came out thick and shaky instead of the fine, clean detail in the picture. I noticed the henna paste itself was drying out as she was applying it, which didn't help. I pointed out the unevenness and asked her to fix it more than once, but the fixes still didn't match the quality of the reference. Henna is $15, so I wanted my money's worth and asked for the full design to be completed rather than just the hand portion -- I don't think that was unreasonable. To make it worse, it's now been two days and the henna is already fading noticeably, which shouldn't happen this soon with a proper application. Overall: 4/10 experience. If a shop offers a service, they should be confident they can deliver it -- otherwise it's a waste of the customer's time and money, and now I'm stuck waiting for a design that honestly looks like it was done by a child to fade off my hand. My daughter had a "back wax" for the first time at this facility. In preparation for this service, I Googled the rating, which returned to 4.7 Stars. We called the company to find out what to expect since this was her first time. Also, she had an event to attend and wanted to ensure there were no issues with her back after the service. The company advised us to come a few days earlier in case of minor irritation (considering eyebrow and lip waxing, you might get a minor irritation). Also, the esthetician recommended that my daughter get a "Sugar wax" service. We arrived five days before the event and had the service done. The esthetician had my daughter sign a waiver and advised her to use Neosporin or Hydrocortisone in case of minor irritation. My daughter said that the esthetician used her gloved hands as she repeatedly put the product on her back, but she didn't change the gloves between applications. My daughter thought to herself that she hoped the esthetician would change the product for each new client. Immediately after the service, walking out the door, I checked her back and saw white pimples populating on her back. My daughter didn't go back into the facility to make them aware because she had already addressed the possibility of some irritation. My daughter used hydrocortisone to help with the rash; now it's red. After the event, the rash developed fully on her entire back. The earliest we could get an appointment with a dermatologist was that Wednesday. During the visit, the dermatologist said this rash was caused by a contaminated product caused by double-dipping. She prescribed a cream to be used daily for at least two weeks, possibly three. We are still working on the rash, which has been present for seventeen days. Yesterday, we showed my daughter's back and spoke to the company about the problem. We requested a refund for the cost of the service and dermatologist visit. The problem was not a minor irritation but a massive reaction to contaminated products caused by staff negligence, which caused a full-blown rash. We asked to speak to the owner, which the esthetician declined. She responded that she would give the information to the owner and get back to us tomorrow. Today, after two follow-up calls from me, they finally responded: "Your daughter signed the waiver, which clearly states that we are not responsible for anything; therefore, they will not give a refund." In all honesty, based on yesterday's conversation with the esthetician, we didn't expect them to show good ethics or integrity. If I saw a review like this and the pictures as proof, I would say, "Thank you very much!" And move on to another company. We can only make decisions in today's world through the "Reviews." So even if you have a 5-star rating along with these business practices, I would not take the chance because you or your loved one suffers; the company moves on with business as usual. They have to be held accountable! So, we will be filing this information to The State Board of Georgia because this is a health issue that requires investigating or, at the very least, recording.
