I've been going to Holly Nails ever since I was referred by one of my coworkers in high school and now as a senior in college I make the drive from Atlanta just to get my nails done here! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating and always makes time for me even in their busy schedule! They do fill up on weekends and local school breaks so having an appointment especially if you want a specific person to do your nails is recommended. If I could do Zero stars I would. I been to this salon 3 times in past year. I understand the art, design and effort that goes into creating a good set of nails and over all experience. Communication is an important part of that experience as well. All 3 times I was never fully listened to but ultimately, they fixed things enough that I left happy twice. I am going to focus on this last and by far worse experience I have ever had at any salon. The salon itself is not the most update, the chairs are showing some wear and things were wobbly. Product line was far more limited than I expected as well but all things I could live with if the experience had been better. The pedicure was ok, I did not get what I asked for and mentioned twice while in process that I wanted. I wanted #4 Which was $50 including hot stone massage. I got basic pedicure and what might have been semi callus treatment but was unlike anything else I had experienced before with lukewarm water that asked to be warmed up right from the start and was somewhat accommodated. I have SNS on natural nail with basic curve nothing fancy. My manicurist was more Dremel happy vs allowing the acetone time to dissolve properly, I picked my battle but did speak up about the shape he was creating with the overall nail. He filed down a few sides too steep on one side that would have required shortening my nails further than I wanted this time around. I know from experience they would grow, and this could be adjusted over time, and most won't notice it. The apex was turning out wonky on several and the SNS was going into my cuticles very unevenly as well. I brought it up and he said he was working on shape of the curve nail and would fix that later with Dremel, but he did not, and I brought it up again. He tried to tell me that the blotchy pattern in the nail was the SNS I chose but got upset when I showed him same exact color done in prior setting did not do that, he stopped talking to me and began to speak in different language clearly not pleased with me. He walked away without further explanation and a female took over and corrected much of what he had done. She was nicer, I was appreciative but at this point I felt very uncomfortable and did not point out anything else. At the register I was surprised at the cost of only about $92, confirmed they had not taken a discount and was getting ready to hand over cash tip despite the service when the gentleman began to tell me that he hopes I found a place I would be happy with but that was not likely. He said they had done all they could do and it was my 1st time after all. I explained this was not my first time, showed him proof but he scoffed and continued to tell me I would not be happy. For the first time ever, I decided to stuff my $20 tip back in my wallet. I felt so guilty because I felt like the girl and older gentleman had not been that bad and they had done a service but the gentleman running the register and the place was so very rude with how he spoke to me. Not once was I rude or said anything like he spoke to me. My first experience, this same gentleman actually made me cry but fixed his errors which is why I gave them a 2nd and now 3rd final chance. This is a luxury service that many can no longer afford now days. I am very fortunate to still have the ability to enjoy my monthly splurge, I fully expect to pay anywhere from $120 -150 for my service. I should not have to go home and clean the SNS off my fingers, re file my edges for sharpness or have bare spots where SNS is not fully covering my nail. If they continue to treat clientele in this manner, there will not be a lot of new or loyal business to have. read more

I went here for the first time on Monday, and when I say this was the best experience I've ever had at a nail salon, it's 100%. The atmosphere was good, the staff is friendly and not ONCE did my nail tech hurt me, he also TOOK HIS TIME perfecting my shape and length to my liking and helping with the color I was aiming for. I went in a week ago today to get my nails done before my vacation and immediately after getting them done they started chipping and it was apparent the paint underneath the second coat of polish was still wet. I thought no biggie i'll just go back in the next day and ask for a refund and surely they would fix it for me for free whenever I get back from vacation. Wrong. They offered me a refund of $15 for the color so they didn't even offer the price of the whole manicure (which was $45), but said they wouldn't fix the nails for free even though it was their fault this happened in the first place? Why would I pay you to fix a mess up that had nothing to do with me. I've gotten my nails done numerous times before and this has never happened. The way they handled this situation was extremely inappropriate and I will never be back. I suggest you don't either. 0 stars if I could leave it. I needed to find a place closer to home so I bought the extra $5 pencil box for my own personal buffer/emory board sets (one for pedicures; one for manicures). I've had to take Lamisil for fungus after a pedicure years ago so I liked this. The nail salon is smaller than I'm used to but incredibly enough, adequately staffed and no wait on a Saturday afternoon. I was out within a hour. I was greeted warmly in English and sat in a nice chair massager and received a nice foot massage for a $22 pedicure. She did a thorough job on the pedicure and I didn't get clipped accidentally when you get your big toes trimmed around the edges. They also offer $40 SNS organic nail polish, which lasts a month, but they're $5 more than other places. read more

They are open as of 4/27/20. My SNS manicure is ok. The nails on my thumbs look like they belong to 2 different persons! One seems to have only one SNS round. You can see the line where the tip was glued. Not crazy about the shape, they look like platypus beaks. I could not find another reasonably close salon that was open so this was it. I have been regularly using Holly Nail since moving to this neighborhood in May 2020. During the past two years my experiences have been wonderful with good quality service and a friendly atmosphere. However last week I went in for a mani/pedi and I left thoroughly disappointed. The polish on my toes got smudged when they insisted on trying to put my sandals back on too soon. They tried to fix it, but I ended up with visible ridges across the polish that I didn't notice until I got home. Less than a week later, one of my nails chipped. My manicure was terrible. No effort was put into trimming the skin around my nails and cuticles, and I didn't get a massage. After only a few days, my fingernails had that grown out appearance, because they never pushed back the cuticles. Typically with poor service, I would contact the owner/manager. However this poor service was done by the owner. I am now looking for a new nail salon. read more

Two stars, only because Quan is a marvelous nail technician. Unfortunately, he has forever lost my business because the owner is what we call penny-wise and pound-foolish. Please, allow me to explain. I just paid $28.00 for a fill. A fill. This is two weeks after I paid $40.00 for a standard full set. No nail art, no gel... A standard, acrylic full set - $40 (before tip). I've been going to this place twice a month for about 9 months now, having moved from Seattle to Canton last October. I figured they'd recognize the stability of my patronage by now. Two weeks ago, I asked for a full set. My filled nails had been lifting somethin' fierce, so maybe it was just time for new ones. Within that two week period, I lost three nails. Two schluffed right off. The third was hanging by a thread, having completely detached from the nail bed because, like the other two, the initial adhesion was insufficient. Quan wasn't available, so I took whoever was. A pleasant young lady attended to me, and did a good job until it came time for shaping the nail. She could not do a natural round. It was a square nail with rounded edges. So I reluctantly opted for square. When I went to pay, the owner told me it was going to be $28. I was obviously a bit incredulous, I guess. He cited the nails that needed to be replaced, and I calmly explained that I was here just two weeks ago (he checked me in that day) for a full set, and three had come off in this short period of time. Not broken... came clean off. He, who knows me as a regular, actually says to me, "If you had come in when it happened, we would have fixed for no charge. Now? We don't know what happened." What?! How does that even begin to make sense, logically or business-wise? Three days ago, it would have been fixed for free. But today, he suspects I maliciously took a hammer to them, or peeled them off on purpose, laughing maniacally all the while? Sure, I could have come in on four separate occasions, one for each bad nail, and then for the fill. That's four separate interruptions to my day. More importantly, four separate times one of his nail technicians needs to set up and then clean up. But, because I did the efficient thing, and simply got a fill a week earlier than I normally would have, I got charged $11.00 for the replacement of three nails - which is a dollar MORE per nail than a full set averages. When I pointed out that I didn't even get the nails I came in for because the young lady did not seem comfortable or skilled enough, his response was, repeatedly, "You should have waited for Quan." Seriously? Apparently, he cannot guarantee the skill level of anybody but Quan. You'd think this guy was *trying* to get rid of me. I paid the damn $28 after moderate protest, let the man know he was losing my very reliable business after this, and still tipped the gal $5 even though she wasn't capable of what I came in for. If you come in for nails despite this, ask for Quan. ASK FOR QUAN. I'll miss you, Quan, but the owner is not terribly bright and mildly insulting to boot. read more

Tried for the first time.Everyone was very nice and I walked out very happy at first because my SNS nails looked great even though I was slightly annoyed that I walked out spending $58 for a French sns. More than I have ever spent. Giving two stars because ALL of my nails started to life after a week. I have gone 4 weeks with SNS before and that's never happened. Just had to peel hem all off because they were so lifted it was pulling and tearing my nails up. Not happy. It hasn't even been two weeks yet. read more

I wish I'd done more research before taking someone's recommendation. To preface... I have gotten my nails done for half my life so I know how they are supposed to be done. I normally just sit down, let them do their job, I'm always thrilled when they're finished. Not so at Holly Nails. In an effort to keep my review shorter I won't give every detail... I got the pink and white done. My nails look short and fat; my cuticles were not taken care of; there are bubbles and black dust particles under the clear gel polish. My nails don't look horrible but they don't look great either. Had I not known how they could look I probably would've been happy. Whenever I mentioned anything while my nails were being done I was told to wait and see when they are finished... they will be fine. Well they're not. I've never been so disappointed with my nails. I had them fix some small issues but once my nails were finished drying I noticed how terrible of a job that was done to my nails. I will not go back to Holly Nails!! I had my nails done on Friday Feb 2nd, by Monday Feb 5th, two of my Gel nails had chipped. The owner was reluctant to fix my two nails for free, He painted two coats, so now the two Nails are darker color. I mentioned this to him, well you have four coats on two fingers! Well can you paint the others to match, he again had an attitude! I had purchased a nail box for $20.00 about 6 months earlier, it is to keep nail files for my use only. Went in to get a polish change. Decided to get gel nail polish. I was in a hurry had to get back to work. Sooo after finally getting a white polish with correct number attached. He begins to paint OLD nail polish, Ive had this happen before. So he proceeds to go get white nail polish you use to paint on French (not gel polish) nails looked horrible and he wanted to do another coat.. after taking 10 minutes to get the gunk off he charged me 10 dollars! Dont waste your money or time on OLD PRODUCTS! I paid 10 dollars for him to take off his old product.. while he gave me some excuse about why it wasn't working, something about my nail bed. So why did he go get the french tip white. Who wants 3 coats of white paint, told me I wasn't patient enough! Thank you Holly Nail! Beyond disappointed with my experience Holly Springs nails. From the moment I walked in I knew I should have turned right back around and walked back to my car. The greeting I received was not friendly almost like they didn't want my money. Outside of the poor customer service, my manicure and pedicure left plenty to be desired. I absolutely could have done a better job on myself or allowed my two-year-old son to paint my toenails. Being a woman who has had my nails professionally done for over a decade I know that they skipped steps in both my Mani and pedicure. I'm new to the Canton area and wish I had done a better job of doing my homework to go to the right nail salon rather than going to the convenient one. This little nail salon is spotless clean! I used to frequent it, but they were too often slammed when I tried to go. The owner is always on site and the techs speak English. The chairs are super comfy and new. I wish they offered add on services to their pedicures- pretty straightforward and quick.
