Recently, I moved from New York and have been looking for a new brow salon because the one I…read moreinitially found in Georgia was farther from my house and the results were just okay. I was really hoping to find someone who could recreate the style I was used to back home. I found this salon a few months ago and had been seeing one of the brow stylists, who was fantastic. She understood exactly what I was trying to achieve and helped me gradually get my brows back to the shape I loved. Since eyebrow growth takes time, we've been working toward that goal over multiple appointments. Unfortunately, her schedule has been a bit inconsistent lately, so I stopped in today after the gym hoping another stylist could help. Before we started, I explained in detail what I had been working on with the other brow artist and asked several questions to make sure she was comfortable maintaining that same shape. She assured me she understood and told me to trust her. Unfortunately, the result was the exact opposite of what I had asked for. It felt like my concerns weren't listened to, and months of progress toward growing my brows back have now been undone. Brows take weeks to grow back and often months to reshape, so it's incredibly disappointing to feel like I'm starting over. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I spent a significant amount of time explaining exactly what I was trying to accomplish because I wanted to avoid this outcome. I left feeling like I had wasted both my time and the progress I'd made over the past few months. It was simply a very inconvenient experience that could have been avoided if the stylist had been upfront about not being familiar with the technique or shape I was looking for. I'm sure this stylist may do a great job for clients looking for a different brow style, but if a client is asking for a specific approach that you're not confident you can achieve, it's much better to be honest than to promise you can. Setting the right expectations is so important. I wondered if I was just being overly critical, but when I got home, my fiancé immediately noticed the difference and even commented that my brows didn't turn out as well as they had before. I'll continue booking with the original stylist because she truly understood what I was looking for, but I wanted to share my experience so others know to request the stylist whose work aligns with the look they're trying to achieve.

Chan made it relaxing and our conversation about my service remained private. She is fantastic. She assigned me to Shay, who was simply magnificent! She was professional and personable. She distracted me with thoughtful conversationq (so I would not feel pain), but was also gentle in the process. The only word to describe Shay is Awesome! I don't use these terms lightly. These ladies were so incredibly patient with my questions, my concerns, my hesitation. They spoke to me on the phone before I made the appointment, spoke to me again while I was there and concerned and offered any resolution in case I was unhappy. I WAS AMAZED at the level of customer service here. They have a customer for life in me. I am big on place with great service, particularly now that its become extinct. My lashes look great! I've had a few bad experiences with other wax chains, but once you try Sweet Peach you're guaranteed to be a loyal customer. Their wax is super gentle compared to anywhere else. Also, the environment is clean, warm, and welcoming, and Candy is super bubbly and friendly. Candy finished my Brazilian and underarms in a pain free 20 minutes and left no hairs. If you're looking for expert waxing I'd reccomend her at this location!

This was my first time ever being late. As I was walking in the door, my phone dinged with a $5 no show fee. My aesthetician was standing there and told me that she would not be able to take me because she'd already taken her next appointment back. She said I could come back in three or four hours when she had an opening, but that did not work with my schedule. Their website states that 10 minutes late is a no show- with no mention of how long your appointment was. Sadly, they lost three customers this morning over that five minutes.

What isn't fine is it wasn't removed from the nails before she polished. Then in a rush to go to another client put my sandals on nicking the wet nails; pressed them down with her finger and slapped clear on them. The woman who did my daughter's SNS nails did a good job. The pricing wasn't accurate when I checked out. 2 pedi's at $47/ea - one was listed correctly - one was a misc. charge for $50 and the man checking us out claimed language barrier.

She is thorough, meticulous with her work and just an overall beautiful and kind woman. The salon is very clean, bright and relaxing and the services are comparable to other salons in the area and the prices are affordable ($50 for the basic gel pedicure with add in options ie rose petals and coconut milk in the water etc if desired for an upgrade). Elan is located inside of a quiet shopping plaza in Duluth. Although there's parking for everyone, you may have to walk down a sidewalk or two to get to your preferred biz, but you'll make it. My first impression was 5-stars because it's truly a beautiful salon! Bright with natural lighting and fabulously decorated, it definitely passed the visual vibe checks. I was welcomed in by two young ladies at the front counter who quickly set me up at a pedicure station. There are three parts to the salon and I was in the middle section and it was so quiet, even with other customers in the area. I hate that I didn't get my nail tech's name, but she was so great. I went with the 3rd tier pedicure which including a hot towel, scrub, etc. etc. No corners were cut, I was so relaxed! I opted for a pretty bubblegumish pink for my toes and she really made my feet look fabulous and renewed. After my pedicure package, gel removal and tip, I walked out paying under $100 and in this economy and with the level of service and class, I took that as a deal. Such a fantastic experience, I'm so glad that I chose Elan and will think of them when I'm back in the area!
