The discount for new clients somehow did not apply. They operate in a tiny space, and working on two clients at the same time made me uncomfortable considering COVID restrictions at that time. NEVER AGAIN!

The check-in process was easy. You sign a waiver and you let Sandra know which essential oils and theme you would like in each room. They provide you a robe to change into as you begin the spa day. You start off in the infrared sauna for 30 min., then a choice of deep tissue or swedish massage, then a body exfoliation/wrap, then you shower off, and then you end with a facial. In summary: PROS: attention to the little details throughout the experience (fresh roses, comfy robes, kind workers); resting area was comfortable with fresh fruit, lemon and mint infused water, and a selection of hot tea; the exfoliation and body wrap done by Sandra were very nice. CONS: the walls were so thin that you could hear conversations in the next room and the lawn maintenance outside (which wasn't a peaceful experience); Sandra had another person conduct the massage and facial (who barely spoke English) - she didn't do everything she said she was going to do in the massage (she was to focus mostly on the upper back area due to more tension being on the upper body, but didn't); also she started massaging the body facing up which lead to very little time on the upper back area; my wife, being the mother of our 3 kids barely gets time to pamper herself and has been hinting at needing a facial for awhile, when then"analysis" was done on her skin, there was a shriek of horror at how her skin looked (which didn't make my wife feel great about herself) and she felt pressured into a $25 up charge. For a total of $350+ for this service, I would rate this experience at 3.5. I trusted that my wife was going to be taken care of, which she was, but it's certainly not worth the price given all the cons.

But she told me that the bleaching to get to the white would take another visit. Total = $389.00. Four weeks later I went in and mentioned to the owner that although the color was fine for some people, it didn't look good on me. She said that it washed me out! I reminded her that the goal was a black and white layered color but she told me that I would still end up ash blonde. What happened to the white? She said that it couldn't be done. Then why in the world would I consider going down this road? I did let her know that I really did like the different dimensions of color, but thought I should go back to darker brown with highlights. She ended up giving me GIANT stripes with the same ash blonde color. During the trim, I asked if she could trim the back so that the ends didn't flip out. She never asked me how much to trim and ended up cutting off a good 2-3 inches. The back - she cropped the bottom part of my hair, close to my scalp, so short it sticks straight out. The hair towards the top of my head is longer so it covered the scalp job and I didn't see it until the next morning. Total = $265.00. Unfortunately this place is nothing more than a group of mean girls. I was shocked to hear them gossiping loudly about other clients. The owner had to continually brag that she had a personal assistant and insisted that she had a "high end" salon. I've been to high end salons.... this isn't one. High price does not equal high end.

I am now two weeks out from the installation, and this is the worst and most damaging extension installation I have ever experienced. I have loose beads throughout my hair, extensions hanging over my ears, and areas that appear to be putting excessive tension on my natural hair. This is not one isolated problem--the issues are occurring throughout the installation. I have attached photos taken two weeks after the install. I paid a significant amount of money for these extensions, but more importantly, my natural hair should not be put at risk because of an improper installation. I am especially concerned for women with fine or thin hair who may not realize something is wrong until significant damage has occurred. I originally came to this salon after my previous stylist left. I ordered approximately $2,000 worth of extensions from the owner, Jen, and specifically requested a balayage look that was a little lighter. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The extensions were ordered several shades too dark, and the order was not placed promptly, resulting in weeks of waiting. On the day of my appointment, which I had intentionally scheduled around a wedding the following day, I was told the extensions would not arrive until after 3 PM. I asked if I could come in later that day, and Jen agreed. While I was at the salon being shampooed by her assistant, Jen called me and told me she was going to be late because she had a "b*tch of a client in her chair." I later she was referring to me and had no idea she called the wrong person. I had never been rude or disrespectful to her--I had simply asked to come in later because of the scheduling issue. Despite that interaction, I proceeded with the installation. When I got home, I immediately noticed how dark the extensions were compared with what I had requested and had concerns about the installation itself. I contacted Jen, and she told me she would no longer see me as a client. Unfortunately, the problem has become much more serious than simply being unhappy with the color or customer service. I would strongly encourage anyone considering extensions here to do their research and be very cautious. Extensions are an investment, and the health of your natural hair should come first. I genuinely did not want to leave a review like this, but after seeing the condition of my hair only two weeks after the installation, I feel other clients deserve to know about my experience.

I was looking for a new nail salon close to where I moved and tried Nick's Nails. I'm so glad I did, the salon is extremely clean, the customer service amazes me and it is a great place and great prices. The staff is super friendly and very professional. Their tools are all properly sterilized and they really take their time and make sure everything turns out perfect. The massage chair I was sitting in was also perfect! I can easily say if you come to this nail salon you will be pleased. My hands and feet are the prettiest they've been in a long, long time. Definitely go visit them, you will want to return! This nail salon is now under new management and they are doing a wonderful job!! I read some recent negative reviews complaining about the new owner and they are telling the customers to go see "Kelly" at the new nail shop. Fyi Kelly is the ex-owner of Nick's Nails and out of bitterness, is trying to sabotage the new owner by asking her clients to leave negative reviews about the shops, which is a very childish thing to do. I have my brows done by the manager at nick's nails and gel set done by her and it's very good. It did not peel after a month!! Highly recommended this place, please do not trust the negative/untrue reviews from the ex owner's clients. read more

It took years to find a decent nail spot to go to where my nails are taken care of and done properly. After trying 4 different places Nick's Nails and was super pleased with how my nails came out from day one! Tan is my main go to because he does quality work and does my nails exactly how I like. I've also used a few of the other techs in the salon and they are equally talented. Tan is sure that himself and the other techs are up on the latest designs and products and will make recommendations as to what looks good and doesn't if you ask. read more

The salon provides a peaceful atmosphere with soft lights, soothing music, beautiful chandeliers, newly decorated décor, a variety of complimentary beverages offered and amazing customer service. I have been going to Nick's Nails for over 2 years. I tried every salon within 10 miles from my house in Woodstock and found them to be the best. The salon is clean, the people are nice, and the chairs are great. And if I have a problem, like a broken nail two days after my visit, they fix it for free. read more

Additionally, there was not music or TV shows playing (aside from the same boring elevator-type music on repeat). I'm sure some people like this for relaxation, but I found it unenjoyable. I stared at the same photo of a barn was the majority of the appointment. A very unhappy woman brought me back - acting very annoyed. She filled the foot spa with COLD water and left. She didn't turn on the spa bubbles and no one acknowledged me for another 10+ minutes. I didn't get any service until the manager heard me unhappily sighing on a phone call. She then told at some employees to service me and offered me a beverage. She was surprised when I asked for wine - even though their bar was heavily advertised. Said bar was covered in boxes and unmanned. The wine was purely nasty. Once the services started, it was pretty standard, aside from the lukewarm water (after I complained and had hot water added). The pedicurist did apologize several times and stated that the water is hotter in the morning. This definitely needs to be addressed. The manicure was solid. The products used were high quality (Volcano, OPI, etc.). I really enjoyed the massages and hot towels. The pedicurist did ask me multiple times if I was okay, in pain, etc. but my experience was just tainted at that point. Once I checked out, the manager (who was on the phone and conversing with other employees) asked me how everything was only after eyeing my tip amount. This didn't seem genuine. Also, despite heavy advertisement of the 10% off first-time special, this won't be mentioned at your appointment. You have to sign up online beforehand and show a text message to receive the discount. I forgot to show mine but I believe they would honor it. As you can see, my toe polish smudged less than 3 hours after my appointment - despite being very careful. My toenails look great for at least 2-3 weeks when I visit other nail bars. Overall, if you would like a nice massage and a basic manicure, go for it. The CBD, collagen, and hot stone options are great. I haven't seen such a wide array of options in other nail salons in the immediate vicinity. I hope this business continues to grow and improve. However, I personally have no intentions of returning to or recommending this nail bar.
