Apex Auto was on the top of the Google's list for emissions repair in the Valley, so I held my breath and hoped for a clean bill of health. To my greatest satisfaction, the team at Apex was able to accurately diagnose and repair my Jeep within a day, and one of the best parts was they also tested it for me so I could register it even before I picked it up! The level of customer service at this shop is A++ as well. They fully explained what was happening to my vehicle and the repairs they had to make to get it up to standards again. Well, Apex did the trick! Motorhome pulled strong all the way to Flagstaff on that trip and has done Monument Valley and the Rim several times since. Thanks again, Apex. So good to know there are still honest, hard-working shops out there. Fun side note: I couldn't help but notice that all the guys working there had biceps like tree trunks. They all looked like they benched 300. That, and the U.S. flag draped over the toolbox made me think maybe Uncle Sam funded the physiques. Their work ethic sure looked military as well. Cant say how happy i Am with the service and overall experience with Apex.... Came in for check engine light was on and it was time for emissions testing. They go back and take a look. While i waited I enjoyed complimentary cookie brittle. Short time later and he comes out with a hose that had been rigged with electrical tape. While he was locating a replacememt hose one of the techs came in and said he had a hose thay fit perfectly... no charge. Only small labor fee... Engine light is off, truck passed emissions. Cant say how much i appreciate the honesty and assistance. They could easily have oreered a hose and marked up the price but chose to help me find the beat way to get this fixed in a very quick and efficient manner. read more

We couldn't be happier with Apex Auto. They have taken care of our family for a few years now. I have a long-suffering, kinda beat up Honda Fit that has given me a lot of trouble due to shoddy work done by a previous shop, and Apex has been a breath of fresh air because they don't give you the runaround, they are upfront about costs, the work is done quickly and the problem stays fixed! DON'T GO HERE!! Just look at his response! I have audio recordings of my phone conversation with him and video of when I picked it up, he's lying. I even had him call me back begging to work on the vehicle again and I told him no way!! Two, three, four, five days passes by and then they tell me they can't figure it out and can't find a wiring diagram for it that I found online in about 1 minute. I was given a loaner vehicle with a failing brake system also that nearly killed my family. Took it to another shop Nasa Auto Electric, that charged half as much, diagnosed it with one of the new oxygen sensors that installed as being bad. This is the second time I've been here and I'm glad I returned. I moved out of state and when I came to visit, my car broke down. The guys here went above and beyond what they had to to help me get back home. Very rarely do you enter a business and get treatment like you're a friend of the family. My driveshaft fell off 30 miles after Dave was working on it. I had my company truck worked on there they replaced a main seal. When I picked it up it's still had the oil leak and it did not have a manifold leak when I dropped it off he said that he replaced the manifold gasket now I have an exhaust leak. Drove it to work on the following Monday after picking it up and the driveshaft fell off and left me stranded on the side of the road. So if you days later after it was back in to be fixed I got it out and they exhaust leak is still there he never fixed it read more

Moved from CA to AZ so in order to be able to register my car it was due for an Emissions Test. I can not even explain how absolutely amazed as I am with the customer service with this business!! Dave Sr was beyond amazing at helping me pass emissions. I took my car into the shop at around 11AM on a Wednesday morning, he scanned my car because i was having issues with sensors saying they weren't ready to be tested. He told me I was perfectly fine to go through emissions and so i took it to the emissions testing place down the street and the informed me that i wasn't allowed. I went back to Dave and he personally took me instantly back down to the emissions place and got my car tested so i could get tested. YES he did personally drive me and my car back down to the emissions testing and personally drove it through the line to inform them that they had the wrong information and that my car was ready for testing, they tested it and I passed!! This repair shop is BEYOND fantastic, Dave Sr. was informative, he was helpful and honestly this was the best customer service I have ever had in my life, and I'm a manager at a fast food restaurant. In the end of June, you NEED a/c to work. Although it was vacation week for the shop, Dave took me in, even though it was my first time there. He was proud to show me the work area. He fixed it up , showed me what was wrong and charged me a fair price. I'll be back-I drive a 1997 Miata with over 180,000 miles on it and things go wrong sometimes. Nice people. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! We brought in two work trucks for an estimate on brakes and when they came back with an outrageous price of $2500.00 we told them, NO, we were not going to pay that amount to replace brakes on two trucks. Their response was they had already done the work. After we brought in another mechanic to review their work he stated he would have charged $500.00 for both vehicles for the work they did. They never had authorization to do the work and they are now holding the trucks hostage and have moved them off site. We have over $10,000.00 worth of tools on these trucks and now have to pursue legal action to resolve this. read more

I'm so glad I brought my Nissan Versa to Apex Automotive not only did I save a lot of money that I don't have but I appreciate how honest and professional the staff and the owner are. I was greeted and felt welcome which I didn't felt that way with the other 3 places I went first and they also provided me with a loaner car. Who does that now a days except for some car dealers. The owner and his son work together and they checked my car with a check engine light on and they told me I needed the catalytic converter replaced. Here's why I say that they are honest because the other places I took it told me I needed the converter and two sensors replace and were going to charge me three times more plus no loaner car. Great business! always very prompt and are quick to tell me the issue & how they can fix it. never had to wait over an hour & they keep me updated with each step. i've taken two cars to them both with minor and/or major issues. they are very knowledgeable & very easy to work with. they never up the price & have even helped me to cut the price down! this last time i went, my car was making a rattling noise. they identified the issue, fixed it within 20 minutes and charged me nothing! great guys, this is the only shop i'll take any of my cars to! read more

It's been a very long time that a mechanic took the time to show me what needed to be fixed on my car versus just talking to me about it and giving me an estimate. This helps build trust and that started today with my first visit (oil change). When I asked about my shocks, struts, brakes, they took the time to show me and tell me about signs to look for, which would indicate when they need to be replaced. When I told them about the slow leak in my tire, they showed me the product I can use and how much to use. Something they could do and charge me for, but told me how to do it. I like that and tells me while they are trying to make a living, they are willing to show me how/ what to do, so I can do it myself. All three guys were friendly and personable. In the past, whenever I've had issues with my truck, I've been hesitant about taking it in to a shop. Like most people, I am afraid of being taken advantage of and talked down to.
