We've had another fantastic experience with Apek Roofing! They previously did the gutters and fascia on our house, so when we needed help with a very unique project--putting a roof on our oversized backyard treehouse--they were the first company I called. The treehouse ended up being much higher than expected, and I quickly realized DIY was beyond my comfort level. Apek was incredibly responsive and willing to take on the unusual request. They did an excellent job and had it completed in just a few hours! They saved us countless weekends of work and, very likely, a trip to the hospital. We love supporting a locally owned business, and when it's time for our actual roof in a few years, Apek will absolutely be our first call. Highly recommend! read more

Our roof and gutters were damaged in the March 31,2026 hailstorm. We contacted several roofing companies to assess the damage and provide quotes. APEK came out as soon as they could. The was an area wide storm and they were very busy. Brian Ronan checked our roof and took detailed pictures of the storm damage. He provided a quote to replace the roof, skylight, and gutters. After speaking with several other roofing companies, we decided to go with APEK. We had never filed a homeowners claim and APEK was very helpful in the process. We were placed on the schedule and waited our turn. The APEK office is very good at keeping the customer informed. Our roof date was pushed back due to weather issues impacting the jobs before ours. The weather this year has been crazy. The APEK crew arrived on August 31st and got right to work on the roof. This was a hard working and great team. The weather impacted the job, and it took two days to do the full roof. Not a problem because the final product looks beautiful. The third day was the gutter team. Again, a hard-working crew that knows what they are doing. New gutters and downspouts installed and pitched correctly. Both teams did a great job of protecting our home, plants, and other personal items outside. I am very happy that we went with APEK. I would highly recommend APEK if you have storm damage or simply need a new roof. We had a fantastic experience with APEK from inspection to new roof and gutters. read more

Two years ago after the hail storm that we had in Illinois I had my roof and gutters replaced. Apek was very efficient and professional and kept the communications lines open. I was still having a problem with the gutter in the corner of the house recently and Apek sent their gutter technician out to investigate. He came up with a solution and fixed the corner. I wish that I could remember his name because he was wonderful. Very informative and patient. I highly recommend Apek Incorporated. read more

We have had Apek help with our roof before and called them back for some missing shingles. They took a 'before' picture of our issue (since we won't go on our roof) and a pic of the finished product. We have such confidence in Apek and they did not disappoint! read more

We had been inundated by storm chasers over last few week. After many neighbors getting new roofs we called APEK. The expertise that Brian Ronan provided gave us peace of mind. We do not need a new roof yet but we will be calling Apek when we do. read more

Hired to do a complete shingle roof and smaller flat roof. Sales rep did a good job explaining. They came Out for installation in a timely manner and did a great job on installation and clean up. Only knock is when they ran into unforeseen issues during install, They were vague on additional costs until the final bill came. I would definitely recommend but make sure you know that if they run into issues, make sure you get clear pricing on any Additional items to original contract. read more

Apek did a fantastic job replacing our roof recently. Very professional, polite and friendly team. They answered all of my questions. Constant communication throughout the process. Very happy we went with Apek. Highly recommend!! read more

Liked this outfit very much ... they quoted fair prices and they accomplished what they promised. We had need for a new roof, and APEK was one of 3 bids we received. They were fair in pricing and included a couple of extras we really needed. Besides the new roof, we needed some fascia replaced on the north side which they completed before the new roof went up. In addition, the usual rule is that the homeowner is responsible for connecting the new louvered roof vents to the exhaust stacks in the attic ... something we could not do. APEK accomplished this for us also. So all in all we were very pleased with the work, the clean up, and the two extras. They sized their crew to the job, so they were in and out in a day, so it worked perfectly. We had no trouble contacting anyone at the home office, in fact they called us seemingly every other day if the start day had to be moved because of weather. So communication was fine. Recommended. read more

From the receptionist to Brian to Jesus and the workers, all was well done, professionally and quickly. I especially appreciated the explanation and details of what would be done and why, and I felt the pricing was very fair. This recent work was not my first. Following excellent gutter work to replace old Omni gutters that others wouldn't touch, I have now used APEK for flat roof replacement and roof repair. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to friends and family, as well! read more

Can't say enough about the quality workmanship and the service from APEK roofing. Had hail damage on my home Jim from APEK came and met with the adjuster and walked the roof with him. The workers tore off my old roof and installed the new. Perfect job and clean. I couldn't find a nail anywhere. They came and did the gutters after the roof. Perfect pitch water running freely. Could not be happier. Great job!! Would and have referred to neighbor. read more

Highly recommend Apek for making repairs. Very friendly, professional, and great communication. Recommend them to anyone in need of repairs!

When we needed a new roof, I spent close to a month getting bids for it. Most people recommend getting three prices; I got eight. The packet I received from Brian, the estimator, covered everything involved, and he answered every question I had. We also needed new gutters, so I asked for a separate price on those. After much deliberation (too much, I'm told) I decided on Apek, despite not having any first-hand knowledge of the company or their work. The roof crew came out early on a Monday and was done by seven. They cleaned up when they were done (in fact, my patio was way neater than it was pre-roof - embarrassing!) and the following morning the gutter crew came out, ran the gutters, picked up and were done and gone before noon. There was a wonky area of the roof in the back that I pointed out to Brian when he came to review the work. He gave me the final total, which was less than I'd anticipated; it turned out they didn't need to replace as many sheets of plywood as I thought they would. THAT was a welcome piece of news! Anyway, he said the office would be in touch to schedule the guys to fix that spot, and it was completed by that Friday (the work was done in early August). Too late to make a long story short - bottom line, they did a terrific job, professional from start to finish. I give myself a pat on the back for choosing wisely (ha!). Don't just take my word for it; everyone should do their due diligence when it comes to their home...but Apek definitely belongs on your short list. You're welcome :) read more

Today marks the second time that they did not call and did not show up for my scheduled appointment to fix my roof. I am completely done with this company. I realize it is labor day weekend so I didn't expect them to answer the phone necessarily today, but this isn't the first offense either. The first time they did not call and did not show, they promised that would keep me informed if something came up and they could not make the appointment. That was all I asked. Extremely unprofessional business ethic. Right now, the only thing I want and expect from this company is a refund. read more

APEK came out and replaced some damaged shingles. On time, as estimated, quality work.

I got 3 quotes (4 if you count the guy that came by with a notepad and handed me the sheet of paper he was scribbling on) to repair damage done to my house from a hail storm. I needed the roof and gutters completely replaced and the North side of my house needed to have the siding replaced. I called APEK and they were able to come out right away to give me an estimate. Their estimate was by far the best and I already knew good things about them so they were a no-brainer to choose to do the repairs. They came out to do the repairs, and actually showed up when they said they would. The repairs were done in the time I was away at work for the day, with no sign that they were there, other than a new roof, gutters and siding. Many of my neighbors who used other companies had a terrible time getting the crews out there and had dead spots in their grass from the construction guys throwing shingles off the roof and letting them sit too long on the ground. I did find a couple of nails on the ground that had been missed but I called APEK up and they had a guy come right back out with a magnet or something and I never saw another nail. I left the color matching to APEK, for the most part and they did a terrific job with that as well. I honestly could not have been more pleased with the work they did and the price that they were able to do it for. read more

I had some roof damage from a wind storm a few weeks ago. I called some local roofing company's but no one would return my calls. I called APEK and was greeted with a very kind response. I was told that they would send someone later in the week to inspect what would be needed and then on a later day the repairs would be made. I had asked if I needed to take off of work and they said NO. It was so delightful to come home from work today and hear from my wife that the roof was repaired. My wife said they inspected the entire roof for any other damage and everything looked fine. It was very relaxing to hear this because we could have been taken advantage of. I greatly appreciate an honest business. I highly recommend this roofing company to anyone that needs a roofer. Thank You Mike Urbanczyk read more

They advertise "15% off for Military, Police, Fire" This isn't true. They were the highest estimate out of 4 quotes I received, but claimed I already received the discount for being referred. If that was true, then their real estimate would have been over $1000 more than every other estimate. Please be honest with your customers - Taking my business elsewhere. read more

Apek roofing came and inspected my roof after storm damage. They were able to make the repairs quickly and at an affordable cost. I would definitely recommend Apek for any roofing issues. read more

They were all amazing, helpful, and fast. When they were done it was like they were never even there which is great because I have 2 young children and 2 dogs. I have heard horror stories of stepping on rusty nails left behind or tires going flat due to poor clean up, and this was not the case. Truth be told, I found one, but I had expected a mess so I was pleased. Jamie and Brian were both amazing to work with and made it such an easy process for me which I greatly appreciated. read more

Their price was great and presentation was informative but I couldn't get a hold of anybody to answer my questions afterwards. The office phone always went to a voicemail where you are encouraged to send an email. Then my email was not answered. I tried calling several different days at different times of day but could never actually reach an office person, which concerned me. I figured the sales guy would at least call to follow up after my estimate, then he could answer my questions. But he never called. We had a leaky roof and had to get the work done ASAP, so we went with someone else that was easy to reach even though they cost more. read more

I contacted Apek after a perceived problem was discovered by an over zealous home inspector trying to score points for his client. Apek understood my predicament and without any argument sent a repairman out to help sort out these issues. Rich was to the minute punctual and very professional. He explained what the issues were, took photos and provided a detailed letter regarding the work done and how it surpasses average roof installations. Some minor cosmetic issue were touched up and he noticed that during the initial install a vent was missed. He immediately installed a new vent with no additional costs. All of this service was done past the contractual warranty period! No argument, no fuss, just doing the right thing and correcting minor items to make life easier. Choose Apek if you need a roof and you want a company to be around and correct items that may become an issue 5 years down the road. This roof was installed in 2017. Punctual and no arguing. Thank you! read more

Had to find a roofing company in our area. I was dealing with a local guy, but was hard to get him out and his prices were always high. Crossed my fingers went after reviews and called Apex Inc From the young lady that answered the phone to the estimator Brian, who was awesome. I had a couple roof's for him to look at and one needed immediate repair ( I called him because a few shingles were missing from storm). Brian fixed the missing shingles (the same day) at a fair price and told me I had a 1-3 years left. I promptly recieved my estimate for the other house this am. Highly recommend them, had a talk with Brian explaining my concerns and how I run my business and they seem to have the same integrity. read more

Husband/Wife owned and operated. They were great to work with and although they were swamped with other jobs, the owner himself came out to look over the condition of our roof and gutters(very poor condition). High level of customer service, reasonably priced and quality work. read more

This is a combination review. Apek replaced my roof in March after it was damaged by last years hailstrom and I give them 5 stars for that job. I have had a leak in the upstairs fireplace from many years. It continued to drip during rains after the new roof. Apek told me they would take a look and see if they could fix it and would call me. Never heard back so called them and was told again they would look at it. Again never received a return call. Called them again and shared my irritation and was told that they had looked at it and would call me. Never received a call . I called them a fourth time and again shared my frustration with another person who apologized and told me someone would call me back. No call. That was 4 calls over about 6-7 weeks with not one returned call. Really felt like after I paid them $14,000 for the roof, they just blew me off. That is 1 star service which averages out to a 3 star review. read more

Good price. It took quite awhile to get gutter issue resolved but eventually I received a possible remedy to the issue. I would use again. They do give a 3 year warranty. read more

Apek was great to work with! They have fair prices, and were very accurate with their initial quote. All of their workers were very professional, they even stayed a little late to ensure the job was done in one day. I'd recommend them to others in the future. read more

We struggled to find someone who would come and repair a very small section of siding at the very top of our house. Most people we called wouldn't even come out for such a small job. APEK sent out someone immediately and it was fixed in a matter of minutes. The team was awesome! read more

I had APEK do a complete reroof of my tri-level home in June 2018. It included an area in a valley on the north side of the house where the lower level drained toward the wall of the upper story and where I had major leaking into the basement below. I was supposed to see photos of the repair as it went along, but never did. Hopefully it was repaired as we discussed. I have had no problems in that area since - so far, much to my satisfaction. However, on the south side of the lower level roof where it runs along side the upper story, I had a roof leak in my living room which I discovered this spring, and where I never had a problem before. The roofing supervisor came out and said the flashing was all worn out, said it was a siding problem ??? because the flashing is under the siding. He said they noticed it when the roof job was being done, but ignored it. Doesn't a reroof (complete tearoff) include replacing bad flashing? Otherwise it compromises the integrity of the roof job, I would think. I should have been told about it at the time of the job and I would have told them to replace it. His solution after the fact was to caulk it - that is NOT a permanent fix! Since then I have been unable to get anyone to come back and fix it the right way - and I should not have to pay a couple hundred more dollars to get it done. I was very pleased with the job - until this leak. Now I won't recommend your company to anyone because of the poor after service. Gail R. read more

Not a pleasant experience with this company and the people that represents it. Had an inspector to provide a quote approx. 2 summers ago to repair a roof damage. Agreed with the price, provided with a $5000 worth of repair invoice but failed to provide the work. Made we wait for weeks just to find out that they wouldn't be able to do the work because of busy schedule and the project that they have for me is too minor for them to work on. Very unprofessional to deal with! read more

While the roof looks good, the damage they did to my driveway took four weeks to fix. The dumpster was not supported correctly and when it was removed at 7 am, it left a 14 inch long by eight inch deep hole in my driveway right by the front door. The guy who took it away never rang the bell to let us know and never swept the driveway when he move it, leaving 27 nails on the driveway. It took three calls to finally get the driveway repatched. Also, the reason I selected Apex was the salesman said they would seal the corners of the gutters (which three of them dripped despite my best efforts). The first guy who came out must not of gotten out of the truck because it took a second call and another two weeks to get a second crew out. And still two of the gutters drip. I'm still picking up nails from last fall. And because they finished the job in the dark, they left a circular saw and extension cord on the roof which I found the next morning. While the roof looks good, everything else associated with the job was terrible. The price may be competitive but the overall work was poor. read more
