I've been wondering if we need a new roof or roof repairs due to recent hail, and some water…read moreintrusion on our first floor right above one window. Had three other companies come out, and the first one said, need new roof soon and new siding soon, within 4 years. Next one said, need new roof immediately and could use new siding. Third one said need new roof in around 7 years. hmmmm..... Out comes Berg roofing--my 4th estimate. Guy says to me, your architectural shingles are in fabulous shape. The reason they look uneven to you is because they're very long, and overlap. They are not damaged by hail (or very little). Wait until you see see the coating that is on them in your gutter downspouts. They are coated with granules. They withstand up to 130 mph winds. That roof will last you indefinitely. Do you have leaks on second floor, he asks me. No. He goes inside house. Looks at 2 small leaks above first floor window. I ask, is it the siding. He says, no, it's probably a lack of insulation around that area, in the first floor ceiling. Is this the first time you've gotten moisture? I say, yes, first time in 16 years. He says try not to use a whole house humidifier (I rarely do, although I did run it for a month this past winter). He adds either circle them in pencil or cover them with Kilz and see if they re-appear next spring. If they do, call an insulation company or dry wall company, and have them add insulation around where the moisture appears. He says, it's not the window, not the siding, not the roof. It's a lack of insulation, and when the cooling turns into warming around spring, the area defrosts, and if there's not enough insulation, you can get small water spots. OMG! Is this the only honest roofing company out there? I was so impressed. Guess where we'll go when we need new roofing?

We chose Mike with Everlast over several other vendors due to quality and Mike's reputation for…read moregreat customer service. We started the process in early January and were told the windows would not be ready until perhaps early March, but were pleasantly surprised when Mike said they were ready early. We would have had them the first week of February had it not been for the famous below 0 degree temperatures in the area that week. We had them installed the second week of February instead. Pros: -Received and had windows installed earlier than anticipated. -Took 2.5 days for all of our 27 windows and back glass door replacement. Due to cold temperatures, they worked one at a time so the house wouldn't get too cold. -was honest and fair on pricing and received referral bonus up front. -Mike always answered our calls with questions promptly and personally would come by to inspect and/or help facilitate letting his vendors in if needed. -You could tell the difference in drafts in the corrected areas from inside day 1. No further drafts and they look great! Cons: -4-5 months after installation and 3 of our 27 windows have leaks. We alerted Mike to this and he sent his worker to take a look - they said it was due to the trim on the outside that they didn't replace. Before installation, they indicated that it is not part of their services to replace. However, they didn't tell us before or during that our trims were so old that they would leak - we would have replaced them prior to the new windows if we knew this. We asked if we needed to replace them before and they said no. One of the windows that is leaking does not even have trim on it. When they came out to resolve, they added caulk around the trim and bent flashing for us for the front windows. The flashing should have been installed in the initial installation to prevent leaks. We are not able to get it installed until the new trim pieces are up... Even though they did not inform us about possible leaks, they should have removed the trim and put a water barrier in place before installation and before new trim was able to be installed. -Mike and his installers have a bit of an issue with taking accountability for issues. We were disappointed when his installers broke the interior of a window upon installation - it was safe to use, and they put cardboard over it, but the resolution took 20 seconds and Mike's installers insist it was somehow the manufacturer's fault. It took weeks for us to have this corrected, even though, again, resolution took 20 seconds. -While in the process of service correction for said window, the manufacturer was inflexible on timing and was scheduling more than a week out. Mike's response was that it isn't in his hands. No apology for the inconvenience of the broken window or the inflexibility of his vendor. -The manufacturing vendor cancelled day of (1 hour before). Reschedule availability wasn't until 10 days later. -The caulking the install team did had bubbles and cracks in some windows and just didn't look like a professional did it. When we told Mike of this issue, he said caulking is an "art" and his people are really just installers and don't need to be perfect at caulking. We personally feel that if installing windows is 100% of their jobs, caulking would be part of that job and they should look 100% well done. We had to redo some of it right off the bat. -Every issue that came up, Mike would just say he hoped we could focus on the positive aspects of the experience. It felt very dismissive. -They left aluminum scraps scattered across the backyard where our young children play. Cleanup in the back specifically was just not done to standards. We referred him to my mother's windows and they generally did okay, but did break one of her personal stained glass art by not being careful. No compensation or resolution was offered, minus an apology. We appreciated his team's work and like the products in general, but there is definitely room for improvement in the customer service department and potentially the product itself with the leaks. Considering part of his selling point was 100% satisfaction, we were left disappointed in that aspect.

I was very skeptical in the beginning, but she was professional and knowledgeable, so I decided to give it a try. We signed a PA agreement and surprisingly everything went very fast. Proliance did all the work: negotiated with my Insurance to ensure I did not pay from my pocket too much, got permits, brought roofers and fixed gutters. All that was well coordinated and at every moment I knew what is going on. For example, Kim (from Customer Service) called me when quota from Insurance arrived to inform about the next steps; Faraz (from Production) called me to schedule roof and gutters repairs. I just got threatened by the Manager of Proliance stating that there going to sue me for breaking a…read morecontract for a home i do not own. WOW. Home owner of home i rent had me reach out to contractors to get estimates and after calling Proliance, first thing i did was state that the HOME owner has me calling around to get esitmates for rood damage. So after calling Proliance on our First initial visit we set up, that was cancelled due to guys car not starting in the morning, Than after receiving him on 2nd appointment he left without leaving me the estimate so that i can provide home owner with, but had me sign a keypad stating that it was only stating that he showed up and given permission to contact home owners insurance to discuss damages. While still waiting on estimate we come to find out that it wasnt covering entire siding of home so the home owner wanted to get an estimate for the entire siding and After 4 other missed appointments, and again home owner coming here and waiting for them and still not receiving an estimate the home owner moved on. I got 3 phone calls within a 2 week span from 3 managers of Proliance after all this mess trying to apologize and that there is a guy around the corner that can come now, but i told them the home owner moved on after they failed to show up on 4 missed appointments. Now the owner of Proliance after apologizing multiple times turns around and says "you signed a contract and well you owe us 10% and if you dont pay us I'm going to go after you and put this in collection". I told her i am not the owner or this home. and I never signed a contract, never looked at paper work, never saw estimates, i wasn't the owner and have no legal right to be making these decisions, she still said "i don't care, you signed a contract, you owe us". WOW, This is crazy for a company like this to be threatening people especially after they broke the contract by never showing up to any appointments and or providing anything to the homeowner than going after the renter. Just contacted a lawyer about this and he put me at ease and will be waiting to see what comes of this.

We resently had hail storms and they came and I entertained them because I don't have any idea what to look for as far as roof issues, so the guy insisted to go up to the roof and inspect and then he came down and showed me pictures, lots of them with red circles telling me those are the damages that hail causes he assured me that my insurance will cover and I have to contact my insurance for inspection which I did, I doubted anything he says since I don't hear anyone in my neighborhood complaining about damages infact none in my neighborhood had any issues, he also told me my neighbor down the road-(he gave me the address)also had damage that they are tending which I found out it is not true and I told this roofing guy that it is not true. So the insurance adjuster came along, the roofing company wants to be here as well so they can point out the issues, I was told that they don't have any doubts that this claim can be denied as I have more damages than the other customers they had that was approved. Adjuster denied all the claims and no hail damage noted. This roofing company still insisted hail damages are visible. So they wanted to come up again and inspect, that's already been inspected 3 times. He wanted to appeal and resubmit additional pictures to my insurance. Before he come up to check the roof I talked to this guy and told him about the denial of the claim and the reason why, when he came down he told me the adjuster is right, no visible damages on my roof????? I mean, where are the red circles they've been showing me earlier?? this is a straight up lies and deception!!! But I am so glad I don't have any damages on my roof but why lie to me straight in my eyes. Oh my God. Talking about trust here. 3 people from this roofing company lied to me and the sad part is their manager came here too and saying the same thing.
