A & D Exteriors completed a complete roof installation at my home. Excellent work! A & D met with me to evaluate the job and provided a great overview presentation for me of what would be done. Working with Dustin setting up the project was so easy. He listened to my concerns and areas that I wanted to focus on with regard to the roof. Katrina was great, helping us select the materials that would complement our home. I had two layers of roof that had to be removed. The crew did this so quickly and efficiently. They addressed areas of wood that needed to be fixed with no problem. I also had bathroom vents routed properly to the roof as well. Bath vents were not properly routed before, and Dustin had this correction as part of our project. They use the best vents on the market for this. Robert's roof caps. The roof shingles and flashing were done with care and quality. I even watched one of the team members as he carefully positioned shingles each time so they were perfect. They took their time to do the job right, but are so efficient the project is done in one day. The crew cleaned up the property so well afterwards, which is a difficult task after taking off two layers of roofing. I had multiple quotes for this project but I would tell others not to even waste the time and to sign with A & D Exteriors for whatever your project entails. A&D recently did my siding and gutters and put on a new garage door for me. I had been needing siding for a while now and was dreading going through the process as you never really know who you can trust and who's going to take you to the bank with unnecessary add ons or things you really don't need. As I was doing all my research on companies, I reached out to Dustin who i had dealt with a few years back for my roof replacement. I was very, nay, extremely happy with the work done there so i decided to reach out and see if they did siding. I was overjoyed when i found their folder from the roof project and saw that it also said siding as well as gutters and windows on it. I emailed Dustin and got a response right away. He came out a few days later and was able to provide me with a quote after he checked out everything, then proceeded to tell me that my gutters were in really bad shape (which i was semi aware of but decided i was going to do siding first then tackle the gutters) but then made me aware that they did gutters as well, and said that they had a guy for garage doors as mine was in not great shape either. He gave me a quote for everything and after i approved the project, they were able to get it scheduled and finished within a months time roughly. I'm quite happy with the work that was performed and cannot recommend them enough for anything related to your home that is in their area of expertise. In the summer of 2014, I contacted several roofers to get an estimate for a new roof. The results were dismal: people never returned my calls, they were out of my budget, they tried to upsell me, etc. Then I contacted A & D Exteriors, who I heard about through the Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce. Heidi Grashel, their project coordinator, came out the next day and gave me a quote within my budget. I accepted the quote and asked what kind of deposit they needed (I expected to pay half). She said no deposit. She said I don't have to pay a penny until after the work is complete and I'm completely satisfied. Wow!! Once we set a date, the crew arrived on time and got right to work. They originally said the job would take two days, but they completed it all in just one day. That was a real relief for me, because I have cats and I was so afraid they would be stressed out after prolonged noise. And here's another surprise. A 10 year scheduled maintenance is included with their labor warranty. They will come here every two years for an inspection. This is the first time I am writing a review on work I have had done. Dustin came out and gave me an estimate on my roof and explained all the roofing materials and prices to me. Also gave me an estimate on new gutters and down spouts. After 1 week I decided to go with A & D exteriors not just because the price was good but because of the way I was treated. Dustin came back out and we went all over the materials again and warranties and he set up all necessary permits and ordered the dumpster. The roofing and gutter installers came out, material was delivered and dumpster dropped off that morning and everyone started working and were all done that day. The installers were very friendly and added a couple of idea's that made the job even look better on the gutters. At the end of the job they cleaned everything up and you wouldnt even know they were here other than a beautiful roof and nice new white gutters and down spouts and gutter guards. Dustin returned the next day and gave me all my warranty paper work made sure everything was done to my satisfaction and went on the roof to make sure everything was good and done properly. I had to write a review because Dustin is so amazing!!! We had a new roof put on almost 3 years ago and they did a great job, no more leaks! Recently we started getting water coming in to the house when we would have a lot of rain at the top of the ceiling by the fireplace so I thought I would call Dustin to see if it possibly was the roof. He not only responded within an hour of me calling but he drove out to our house in Barrington that same afternoon. He inspected the roof and said it wasn't the roof but that the cedar siding around the fireplace on the roof was rotten and nails were popping. He then proceeded to go back up there and cleaned around the area and caulked openings he found. This was way beyond and above what anyone would do considering it wasn't a roof problem. I wanted to pay him for his time (he was up there for an hour) but he refused to take anything. You don't often find people like this. I can't recommend them enough, Dustin is the BEST!!!!! We can't say enough good things about A&D Exteriors. We've recommended them to others and will continue to do so. We've used A&D Exteriors on 4 separate occasions. They replaced our siding, and then we had them return to replace our roof. We were so pleased with those 2 projects, we had them return a 3rd time and replace our windows. After building an 8'x10' backyard shed, we had A&D Exteriors return a 4th time to put the same siding and roof on the shed as they put on our house. Due to high winds, some of the shingles on my roof had come loose and blown off. Apparently the previous contractor who installed the roof used a installation system called high railing which make the shingles prone to blow off. I called A&D Exteriors to estimate the repair. Gene returned my call, came out, looked at the damage, and emailed me an extremely reasonable proposal. The A&D crew came out, did the prep work and discovered the shingles they selected for the repair did not quite match. They special ordered the correct shingle and returned the next morning in the rain, wind, and snow to complete the work. The tech stated that he was concerned that the high winds predicted that day would cause more damage if he didn't return to finish. He climbed up there in the wind, rain, and snow and completed the job. That's dedication and one brave guy! Should this situation occur again, I would not hesitate have A&D do the work. We recently had our whole house re-sided and when we noticed a piece of siding popping out at the top on one side of our house, we attempted to call the contractor we had used. Unfortunately, we were shocked to learn they were no longer in business and all phone numbers were disconnected. We immediately contacted the siding manufacturer who recommended us to A&D Exteriors. We got a call back from Heidi that same day and both she and Dustin have made a couple of visits to determine the best way to remedy our problem. They believe in great customer service and quality work. We are grateful that they are willing to resolve our issue that was caused by another contractor.
