Tried this cafe for the first time and it didn't disappoint! The only thing that threw me off was the ordering setup, the menu is on an iPad right at the counter, and you can't see the prices until you're placing your order. I tried the Monkey Business and it was really good. Service was pretty minimal, nothing rude, just the bare minimum. The ambiance is nice though, with a few tables if you want to sit and get some work done, plus a restroom for customers which is always a plus.

The only place i trust a banana latte from. Everywhere else doesnt compare... the vibes in there are cool too. Super chill and quiet, good place to do homework. Coffee is pricy but well worth it. Service is also nice and quick, lots of staff working the last few times I went.

The quality of the matcha & coffee is very very good!! I loved the moody atmosphere of Ape, and enjoyed the customer service & friendly experience. As well as the speedy service! We got the incredible ape matcha, which had great notes of banana and honey. I would've loved more of a banana flavor though! The matcha quality was one of the very best I've had! As well as the tiramisu latte which is a classic & soooo delicious! Definitely think you can't go wrong with either a coffee or matcha from here!

Absolutely loved the drinks at Ape Coffee. The mango matcha was super refreshing with the perfect balance of sweet mango and smooth matcha flavor. The tiramisu latte was just as good, rich and creamy with a great coffee kick and the perfect hint of tiramisu. Everything tasted high quality and the presentation was beautiful too. Great atmosphere and definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to. Easy 5 stars.

Tried this place randomly during the day! I got the banana coffee and the banana matcha. The coffee tasted good and the matcha was just okay. I got extra matcha because the original matcha is super light and weak (my friend got the normal version). It still just tasted okay i would't get it again tbh. The banana foam is good but it's not super delicious to come back for. I think i would try another coffee drink with a regular foam instead to give it another try. The coffee wasn't super strong so i'm not sure how much shots it has. they also only have one size which im personally not a fan of :( it was 16$ in total!

A friend recommended this place to me for Matcha latte. I have tried so many in OC, LA and even Arizona so I've become a little particular but this place definitely was a great experience! The service was exceptional, the café is adorable and their logo is super cute! The Matcha latte was great quality and had good flavor! They are known for their banana Matcha, but I'm not a fan of banana so I ordered vanilla which I was very happy with! I will definitely visit again if I'm in the area!

Long-time fan here. Every latte I've ordered has been consistently good, but my go-to favorites are the Monkey Business and the Tiramisu Latte. I never thought I'd enjoy a banana-flavored coffee, but the Monkey Business completely surprised me. It's actually really delicious and well-balanced. The Tiramisu Latte is also spot on, and ordering it half sweet makes it perfect for my taste. I also love the cool ape-themed decor and the overall vibe of the space. It feels like a cool spot to relax with a solid cup of coffee. Definitely a place I keep coming back to.

A friend of mine told me about this place a while ago, and I finally gave it a try it!!! I got the mango matcha, & it was actually really good! I also tried the ham and cheese croissant, which I normally wouldn't get at a coffee shop.. but it surprised me in a good way & yes, it went really well with the drink! I can see why it gets busy here I'm starting to become a regular now !

A fun coffee shop that serves a variety of drinks and snacks. To start, parking is scarce so you may need to park on a nearby street and walk. It's dimly lit and simple with some seating and merchandise brand items for purchase. Free WiFi from the Ape, himself. Fun themed. I tried their Monkey Business latte (7/10) with banana foam and a splash of cinnamon. I feel like the latte part was not to my liking but the foam and cinnamon flavor was good. I had their bacon quiche that was fabulous (10/10) - packed with cheese, egg, bacon and a kick of green chilies. I got mine warmed and it was delicious! I would come back for another one and maybe try a different drink - even though I am a huge banana lover.

Came in heard the coffee and the match drinks is very good here. Came here and they had bakery to choose to go with your drinks when you're on the go.. Service is nice, kind and friendly.. Ambience here they have couple of chairs and tables to sit and relax and hangout , just think the music should be little lower it's kinda hard to hear the at the register.. music to loud... overall I highly recommend coming here.. think it's alittle pricey but the match drink is pretty good..If you haven't tried it..

Second time is a charm, the first time was not a success coz the coffee i want to order only comes in cold so i left empty handed. But since my co- worker highly recommend this coffee shop, i went and ordered flat white with lavender and it was good. I guess their specialty coffee are all iced and im a hot coffee drinker. They served lots of sandwiches and pastries too, I wished they served some of the cold drinks hot as well. The shop is nicely decorated and they are always packed with costumers. Friendly staff. It's like drinking coffee in Europe, they are in small cups. Enough to wake you up.

Tried out a new matcha spot in OC (Orange to be exact). Their incredible banana matcha is yummy! I would come back if I'm in the area. Also love the ape decors in the store!

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling.
