First, they were late, then there's a miscommunication between movers and a representative on yelp who also works for Apache moving. One of the movers left in the middle of the moving. Everything was pretty slow so I started helping but a lot of things weren't wrapped when they were moving. Some things were ripped or torn and some broke. While carrying they dropped a lot of furniture, luckily they are solid nothing got broken but a lot of corners were chipped. By the time we were done, it was pretty dark, the last few pieces were really difficult to move in the dark. Anyways, I wouldn't use this service next time even if it's free. read more

Attention to detail was non existent. They need to have more experienced movers that know what they are doing, at least on my job. They had one job and one job only to move a 2 year old SS refrigerator from point A to point B and managed to drop it in the parking lot off their ramp while loading it on the truck. I really appreciate Joey who was my first point of contact and helped me issues I had on my end with my move. The new place I was moving to didn't inform me that they wouldn't be able to give me my keys until 1 pm when originally thought I could receive them in the morning. I called in last minute and Joey was able to reschedule my move only a couple of days before I had to move. The movers I had Caleb and Chris were amazing! They worked hard the entire time and were very polite. They never complained while working in 100+ degree weather while taking heavy items up three flights of stairs. read more

Our experience with the guys at Apache Movers was mixed. They were given an itemized list before the move and we were quoted a price. When they showed up, one of the movers was not only NOT wearing a mask, but I had to give him one! We were told that everyone wore masks and were Covid-safe. Then, we had to walk with them through every room of both buildings and review the list, which meant I had to stand in very close proximity to Jason (the guy in charge) on and off for about 20 minutes. The list was incorrect and things were added and taken off as we did that and a revised price was given. Before they entered the house, they had asked my partner if they could move without masks and he said no. (We are both over 60 and I have neuro Lyme disease so we take extra precautions). Apparently Jason wasn't happy about it and mumbled some unprofessional stuff under his breath. Then he asked me. I said they could work maskless which meant my partner and I had to wait outside in the car for the entire move, which we did. 5 1/2 hours! They did do an excellent job of wrapping up the little furniture we have and moving all of the boxes. They did a good job of moving a few things into our leased home. And they did a great job moving the rest into storage. I felt the price was high but with two stops and a trip to and from Austin, I guess they charge more. So, to summarize, it was a good move except for three things that would make me think twice about hiring them again, especially during a pandemic!! Jason's initial behavior, which was unprofessional (especially during a pandemic but not cool at any time), the fact that one of their movers came without a mask (totally unacceptable, especially after being told there were Covid protocols in place), and the fact that the list we had sent them was not properly noted on the moving list making it necessary for me to stand close to Jason and try to point out what WAS on the list. read more

Good service and lead man, Bryan? was great. Only problem I had was a loose board on my heavy wardrobe cabinet, which I can fix with another little nail. They did a great job carrying down about 7 heavy cabinets (wall units and bedroom furniture) from a second story condo in Austin to move into a house in Round Rock 20 miles away. Needed to move - so i went to Yelp to see what they could do - Apache was one of the first to respond with a quote (I was 6 weeks out from move date) Good - REALLY nice reponsive and attentive Bad - didnt send quote originally; had to call back (not a big deal - bad email address) Good - Two days before move - called to confirm time and date Bad - Showed up 45 minutes late (they called/mechanical issue - not a big deal) GREAT - Donavynn (yes i mispelled) and Fernando - loaded the trailer freakishly fast (sorry Jimmy Johns) Good - They mentioned a broken part when loading (we knew/forgot about that) Bad - broke a door on the entertainment console (they prolly knew it but didnt mention - not a big deal) MEH?? - There were some extra parts to our bed left after they put it together - I dont know if they were ALWAYS extra, or just extra now - never got a explanation.. Do not use this company. We had a fairly simple office move. They damaged a desk, rendering it unusable. More egregiously, one of the guys did not wear a mask. His only response was "my bad." Yes. We used Apache Moving last time and it was excellent! So we decided to book with them again this time and it was a bit upsetting because we were confirmed pick up between 12 noon to 1pm and they did not show up on those scheduled times. We called and were told new time is at 2:30pm and they finally arrived at 3:30!! They wasted 3 hours of our time waiting and not gonna lie it ruined our schedule and plans that afternoon. They did not even bother to contact us to let us know about the delays. Luckily Jordan and Gerald, our movers are efficient and fast enough to move our stuff, I know it's not their fault but we would really appreciate it if the office or someone from Apache gave us heads up about the delay. read more

So bad it felt like a joke - avoid these guys at all costs - The movers were unprofessional: they acted like they didn't know what the job was and constantly asked us questions, took breaks and the move slid into the late night - Boxed our possessions horrendously: many of my wife's shoes were scuffed and her nice dresses were balled up at the bottom of a box even though we paid for hanging boxes, many items errantly thrown in unassociated boxes, some boxes hardly even filled - They didn't even bother to finish the job: two SUVs full of items were left behind at the house we moved out of (I spent the whole next day cleaning up after them) - Bad attitude from the owner: after airing these complaints, he aggressively suggested I was in the wrong Wish I would have paid more and gone with a more reputable group...don't make the same mistake we did! read more

All they had to say was they couldn't do the move in the first place and that would have been fine. Instead they stacked up work on some poor dudes who ended up arriving an hour late past their 3 hour window (6PM) and took 3.5 hours to pack a portion of our stuff until we called it because it was almost 10pm and we hadn't even started to travel to our final destination. I called them over a week ago, sent documentation per their request and they said they would get back with me very soon with a quote. I told them the house was damaged in a storm and we had structural engineer complete a report that the house was structurally sound. I waited about a week and called them back inquiring as to why they did not return my call. The person Nat said his boss said they might not be able to do the move until their insurance company said it was okay. Why not return my call to tell me this information? I received several quotes for moving my one bedroom apartment and and Apache came in with about the same quote as everybody else. I went over everything with the scheduler and told him what my large furniture items were and asked if they would help break my furniture items down (like my bedframe), and that my new place is on the 3rd story. They charge by the hour with a 2 hour minimum, and I also asked if he expected it to take much more than the 2 hours. He said he didn't think so but that they would prorate it every 30 minutes after the first 2 hours. So the morning of, these two guys show up at 9am. They tell me it will probably take about 5 hours. I tell them what the scheduler told me about the time and basically, we just agreed we'd do the best we could to knock it out. Although I specifically had asked about having the furniture taken apart beforehand, they apparently didn't have any tools with them. I provided the necessary tool for the headboard removal (a basic Alan wrench), and he fiddled around with one screw for a while before declaring he couldn't do it. I later removed the headboard with the same Alan wrench in less than 10 minutes. Then I had to get someone to help me haul the headboard and frame separately later on. It was a nightmare to move and I'm not a big girl so I had really hoped they would move it for me. (Luckily, a kind neighbor saw me and my friend struggling with it on the stairs and jumped in to help.) At the new place, the guys acted totally surprised to see how many stairs there were. It's 3 stories but there's an additional little 3 step thing at the bottom that he told me was a 4th flight. It was paid hourly, so I'm not sure why it mattered, but he made a big deal about those 3 steps being an extra flight of stairs. After the very first haul up, this one guy is standing my in living room with his hands on his knees, panting rather dramatically and telling me he's sick. I wanted to say he shouldn't be here touching all my stuff if he's sick but it was too late at that point, so I said nothing. This same guy kept taking breaks and telling me rather dramatically how tired he was and kept asking if I had weights in the boxes. I pointed to my set of dumbells that were unboxed and which I had hauled myself in my car and carried up myself. With this guy taking breaks and acting so exhausted (I was the first stop in the morning by the way), I wanted to move it along since it was hourly, so I helped unload the truck and haul things up. The whole time. This guy kept taking breaks and saying, "don't worry, I'll take 30 minutes off your time for my break." Right about noon, they got the last dolly full of boxes up. He said "I'm gonna stop your time now," acting like he was doing me some big favor, but I was thinking, "Well, that's good considering we're done!" I gave him my card and a cash tip and he called the office and gave them my credit card. It was for the full 3 hours. There was no 30-minute deduction. Several dishes that were in boxes labeled Fragile were broken. They didn't really ask where I wanted anything except one item, which they did not put where I told them to, so now I have to struggle to move all this furniture around by myself. Of the two movers, one guy was really sweet and didn't complain the whole time. The other guy complained the entire time and kept promising me 30 minutes off when he was taking breaks and I was helping unload the truck. It's unfortunate that this one guy soured the whole experience because everyone else in the company did well. The scheduling was very communicative and the other mover was professional. But in the end it's entirely unprofessional for this guy to act like that and let me be unloading the truck while he takes breaks and then get charged for the whole thing. The guys showed up on time and started packing promptly. After all the boxes were done, one guy came up to me and asked if I had a tool kit to dis-assemble the bed and L-shaped Computer desk. He said they didn't get one. Since my tool kit was already packed in boxes , I couldn't find it. He said they'll figure something out and started to move my computer desk without dis-assembling it. In the process of getting it out of the room, they damaged the table by hitting it to the door (attached the picture). At this point, I decided to get the tool kit from my friends place and left. By the time I came back, they loaded our bed on the truck as is without dis-assembling it. With the tool kit I got, they started removing the bolts of the table and in the process they broke it (attached picture). When unloading the queen bed, I suggested they do it piece by piece since its a new house and I don't want any scratches on the walls. They didn't take my suggestion and went ahead to put the bed in the room as is. Half way through they realised it won't fit and started unscrewing it in a vertical position (which is not ideal for any bed) . The way they handled it made me think that there is nothing professional about it. Tl;dr -- my 2 cents, I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

The movers did a good job of moving my items from a storage unit to two separate locations. My only complaint is that when I called the office on the morning of the move to confirm what time the driver/movers would arrive because I hadn't heard anything from them, I was told that the scheduled driver was a no-show, so they had to find a new driver. I called back several times for updates. Thankfully they did find a new driver, but the move was pushed back from the originally scheduled window by almost two hours. I would just recommend that they get in front of issues like this by being the one to reach out and over-communicate when a problem like this arises. read more
