That means that others who are there on time have to wait! The last person who drew my blood hurt me pretty bad as she did not get in on the first stick and was wiggling the needle around trying to make it work. Had a huge bruise.

I was first to arrive, told not to sign in by receptionist and proceeded to fill papers out and present payment. A little past 8am started ultrasound, took less than 20 minutes. I waited for MRI, watched people come and go while waiting to be called. After an hour I asked receptionist when I would be called. She told me I was next. Not so, they called someone else. Then the next person called I thought was me but after walking to the tech noticed I wasn't the patient she called. She told me the Ultrasound didn't transfer the paperwork and that was why I hadn't been called. I was escorted to another waiting area and another tech arrived. She told me that I my MRI was for 930am and that they tried to call me. I told her they couldn't call me phone were shut off at their request in the waiting room. I told her that wasn't what I understood when appt. was made. Why would anyone get up at 600 am for a 930appt. shortly after I received the MRI. ( explanations . 1. other dept failed to transfer papers. 2. you're next up 3. appt 8:00am following ultrasound 4. appt. was for 9:30 5. Tried to call you. not in call history. Your tests are always at the directlabs.com portal, whether you change medical insurances, have no medical insurance for a period of time, or any other reason. Too many times, your work changes medical insurance carriers, or you yourself change medical insurance carriers, and all of your online lab tests from the past are no longer available. Too many times, a doctor has you come in just to write test orders, then reschedules you for another visit just to "read" your results, what a joke! There's nothing to understanding test results, there are high and low ranges with each result, and you can get further information on the internet, like webmd.com Directlabs currently uses Quest Diagnostics, a major lab testing facility, just like anyone else. They have a staff doctor which reviews results, and if necessary, will attach a warning-type message to your portal. I would rather pay out of pocket online for routine lab tests, and send the results to my doctor, me being in control of the tests ordered, as well as the results. If my doctor loses the results, I can go to the directlabs portal, print another one, and resend it. The only good thing about this business is the one and only employee. She runs the front desk,…read moresearches for lab requests by computer and is the Phlebotomist on staff. She is efficient, pleasant and professional in all ways. We went there two days in a row (with and without appointment) and waited an hour and a half each time along with at least eight other people. There is no bathroom in the waiting room; the bathroom is in the inner office and it is locked to the public. There is only one patient room - my granddaughter had a medical emergency after having 10 vials of blood drawn and had to lie down on the bed for about 1/2 an hour. Meanwhile the Phlebotomist was helpful and efficient and caring even though she had a roomful of people who were impatient and some were downright rude and obnoxious. This business is poorly managed and severely unfair to their employees and any patient who has to go there for insurance purposes.

I heard that DIS had an open MRI, so I was willing to give them a chance. When I got there, I arrived a little early and they went ahead and got started. The whole time they were all about making me feel comfortable. They gave me headphones and let me pick the music. The technician constantly asked if I was okay and would let know what was about to happen and what to expect. He constantly reassured me the whole time. My husband was allowed in the room with me as well. My mom had previously gone here for a different MRI and said she would recommend it to everyone. They quickly gave me a disc with my images on it and sent reports to my doctor for follow up.
