I "tried" to get a lab test today at the Mandeville location. I should back up to say that about an hour before i "tried", I realized I would have time to go get my lab test done, so I checked the website to see if there was an appointment available today. There was, but not until much later this afternoon. I decided I would go as a walk-in; something I have done on many occasions without any issue and usually not a long wait. When I arrived at said location, I checked in with the iPad kiosk as per usual. I was asked if I had an appointment, which, as previously explained, I didn't. . I was again offered the same appointment which I had previously declined as it was almost an hour later. Then the iPad kiosk asked me if I would like to be put on the waiting list as a walk-in. I replied that "yes I would". To which the iPad responded that I "may have to wait 30 to 60 minutes" to get seen. At this point, I looked around the waiting room, which was completely empty. I checked the tv screen, which had the list of appointments waiting and saw that it was blank - no one was waiting. So I said "yes I do want to wait. I'm going to take my chances." A few minutes later, a woman peeked her head out the door to very brusquely inform me that I was required to make an appointment. When I attempted to question this, given that there was nothing about this new policy on the website nor did the unhelpful kiosk mention that walk-ins were no longer an option. She cut me off before I could barely begin speaking to reiterate that 1. An appointment is most definitely required and 2. Walk ins are most definitely no longer happening. I was shocked. Both by this new policy, but also by the absolute lack of care or consideration in the delivery method l by this person. I could understand if there was a waiting room filled with people and a line of names on the TV screen, indicating that they were harried and had way more work than they could possibly handle at the moment. But that was absolutely not the situation. They had one gentleman who came out of the back while this was going on. One patient. And who knows how many phlebotomist/lab techs behind that door?! So I left and called the corporate number to find out what in tarnation is happening. Is this actually a new policy? If so, why doesn't the website mention it? Why does the sign-in kiosk still give the option to be a walk-in? The person on the other end of the line made some apologetic noises to begin with. She insisted that this is a new policy, which had gone into effect at almost all locations. It is to alleviate the huge backlog of patients needing lab work. Patients who would sit in the waiting room for hours on end and never be seen. What patients? Where? When I explained to her that in all my years of going to Quest - at many different locations - I have never once spent more than maybe half an hour waiting to be seen and that was only because I was a walk-in. She vehemently denied that that was a possibility. She said that I was greatly fortunate that that was my experience because in the vast majority of locations, all patients, even those with appointments, have to wait very long times to be seen. And those without appointments, as she previously said, wait for hours on end, and some don't even get to be seen that day. Again, this has never been my experience. Far from it. Anytime I've gone to Quest, whether with an appointment or as a walk-in, there have maybe been two or three people at most in the waiting room. And as I've said the most I've ever waited is maybe a half an hour. She didn't want to hear that. It didn't work with her narrative. so she was really anxious to get me off the phone. So I relieved her and said as much. So here we are. Somebody's not telling the truth. But only one of us has evidence. read more

I made an appointment for Saturday, August 31 at 8:30am. I arrived at 8:20am and was brought to the back within minutes of my arrival. The employee (I wish I had gotten her name) was incredibly upbeat and welcoming. She put me completely at ease. Even with some mishaps with her computer, she remained upbeat. Her joy made my morning so much better. I have never had this positive of an experience while having blood drawn. I hope she reads this and sees how she turned my entire day around. :) read more

very efficient ! on time everytime I go and very gentle. one time my doctor did not send orders. they worked with me and let me call doctors office and then drew my blood. I. today's world very few people find anything nice to say. if they have a good experience they don't take the trouble to be nice and leave a great review. read more

Basically an answer machine manages this place...it took me forever to go through their menu and figure out how to talk to an actual human. When I did, she was rude. I'll only use LabCorp from here on out. Screw this place! read more

Run by a machine! I scheduled an appointment all with voice recording, checked in on iPad. I hear all employees in the back, so I'm assuming there are real people here. 30 mins later, still in waiting room with some wack job who's talking to himself. read more

NEVER OPEN ON TIME! Appointment for 7:15 and they NEVER arrive until at least 7:30. Ridiculous!

Well, it's never a blast when blood work needs to be done, but Quest Diagnostics really tries to make it an easy, comfortable experience. They have quite a few locations, and that surprised me. I really thought that they were just an outsourced lab that doctors use to run their tests. They are in a shopping center on Hwy 22 and full lobby with comfortable chairs while waiting to be called. All in all, not a bad experience, but I don't like giving away my blood. Hehe They were gentle. read more

The black lady who took my blood was very rude and nasty. Once you have the needle in you can take the rubber band off dumb ass.. When she was done she lifted that arm rest and said have a nice. As I'm trying to my sweater on and having a hard time she tries to squeeze in front of me and the door and she says excuse me very ugly. I'm sorry you hate your job. Being very ugly and rude doesn't get you very far these days. I definitely won't be going back there ever again. read more

Will NEVER use Quest again. You can not get a human on the phone. After 20 tries I was able to go through the billing department to get a human. They swore they sent over results after 2 weeks of waiting but my doctor and I are looking at the same documents and we are missing 3 pages of results they swear they sent, yet none of us have yet to lay eyes on these pages. This was an urgent medical matter and has prolonged treatment. I will now have to drive an hour away to take the tests AGAIN at a more competent lab since they can't seem to figure out email or fax machines. read more

The worker there was very rude and didn't want to do her job. And when I confronted her about she became very hostile towards me. When I decide to leave she slammed the door on my back. read more

There is never anyone at the front desk. They're obviously understaffed. When I've chatted with several employees about it they agree. Only one time has there staff been friendly. They are very nice to each other and test their customers like objects that are a nuisance. She didn't explain the payment I needed to make without me asking for clarification. Then was annoyed with me for asking. Then she man handled my arm, stuck the needle in, in such a way, that I experienced severe pain. She didn't care. She just said, "Shall I pull it out?" Of course I said yes. She dressed it and said "Keep pressure on it to stop it from bruising." Which denotes she knew she ways purposely rough. I've never, never had a decent experience there and will not return. read more

I went here to get lab work done, they close at 5. My mom and I got there at 4:50. We waited for an hour then they told us that they couldn't do the blood work we needed to be done because "it took an hour to be processed." Though that may be true we were there before 5 waiting and we just wasted our time. She was extremely rude, and quite obviously just wanted to go home. If you can't do your job with 100% effort then maybe find a new job someone else would be better anyway‍. read more

I went in twice in the last couple of months and they draw blood well. Just felt a pinch as the needle was going in. I had blood drawn by two different people. For me, the main thing is that they don't stab you with the needle, Quest has been very competent drawing blood. read more

Horrible acoustics in lobby. The desk is not staffed then when someone shows up at the desk you can't hear them because of all the background noise. You get told to drop a specimen off on the first trip then when you come to drop it off they expect you to wait behind 10 other people including two who came in after you because you didn't sign in because you were told to drop it off with the person at the counter and the counter isn't staffed to tell you otherwise. read more

I have always had pleasant experiences at this location of Quest. Very efficient , the women working there are very pleasant and cooperative. They seem very experienced and I have never felt any pain or discomfort when they draw blood. The only lab that I will continue to use. read more

Took my mother here for blood work. "Dana" was nurse taking her blood. She was so cruel and rough with my elderly mother. Rude and nasty. Not what any sick person deserves. They should train their workers to deal with the public. They should fire this woman Dana. Disgusting. read more
