I didn't feel like cooking so I ordered a small pizza and piece of cheesecake. The pizza was one of the better I've had for delivery (never having it before) and it was THE perfect size. The cheesecake was AMAZING!! I literally wanted another piece. I want to try a hoagie next time. This is truly one of my top 5 favorite pizza stops in all of Pittsburgh. I consider myself a bit of a pizza connoissour. My favorite food in fact. We were looking for a new place to try and happened upon Antonio's. The prices are terrific! They have so many different sizes of pizzas. They have an amazing selection of toppings. We ordered meatball, pepperoni, mushroom and pineapple. Yes, pineapple. This pizza was FANTASTIC! While waiting for the pizza-the experience even gets better. They have pinball machines! Got to love an old fashion (or newer) pinball machine! I didn't do very well, but it was great fun! Then, if their pizza doesn't sell ya, THEY HAVE BUBBLE TEA! Yep, you heard me-Bubble Tea. Pittsburgh has so much amazing vegan food, but if we're passing through on a road trip and can only have one meal, it's Antonio's. Their vegan buffalo chicken rolls have changed my life. They're everything I want in a food - a pillowy cloud of simple carbohydrates wrapped around vegan cheese and meat with hot sauce. The ambrosia of the gods. I also get a vegan Italian hoagie because a great sandwich is a thing of beauty. As far as I know, it's still all Herbivorous Butcher products. Everything is delicious and perfect. I'm very surprised at how delicious this pizza was! Antonio's not only has delicious regular pizza and other Italian items (pasta, sandwiches, calzones, etc), but they apparently have great vegan options as well! I tried their cheese pizza (a slice), cheese calzone, and cheesecake. The cheese calzone was very good. It was a tad on the oily side, but not excessively so. It was stuffed with a ton of cheese, and a great amount of ricotta. The crust/bread part was also really well made (although, maybe a bit too much bread). Crispy on the edges and it was topped with a sprinkling of parmesan. Delicious sauce on the inside that didn't make it soggy at all. Fair price for the portion. The cheese pizza was amazing! The red sauce is so flavorful. It has a nice hint of spice, some herbs in there as well, and some sweetness to balance it out. The crust isn't too thin or too thick. And the portion is - oh my gosh, it is huge! Delicious cheese. The only negative I would say is the crust is kind of mediocre. The cheesecake was also so tasty and clearly homemade. The top is a bit more yogurt-like and creamy. Then, it gets more cheese like and harder toward the bottom. It reminds me of Tvorog cheese if you have ever had that. So good. Somehow not too heavy. Only downside is that the cracker bottom is very crumbly and not that flavorful. All in all, this place is simply amazing. The pizza is delicious, the calzone is delicious, the cheesecake is delicious, it's all delicious! And, very clearly homemade. The prices are awesome for the portions, too. On a scale of romances to documentaries, Antonio's Pizzeria is a vegan cookbook. I noticed their commitment to VEGAN options immediately, which is a big deal when you have many vegan friends! We ordered via GrubHub and arrived a few minutes late for our pick-up time. While we had to wait about five minutes longer, the waiting was worth it. The pizza was loaded with toppings and so much cheese, and the cheesy breadsticks were mind-blowingly good. We ripped through it all, and I couldn't be happier. P.S. First of all, I never give 5 stars. That means there is absolutely no improvement needed. Very good Pizza and Meatballs. Pasta was decent and sauce had good flavor and a little on the sweet side. Crust had some strength to stand up and be bitten. A little crunch but didn't hurt the roof of my mouth. I would definitely recommend this place. Girl taking orders was helpful and friendly, even when I asked a boatload of questions. I don't believe the restaurant was at all dirty but it was cluttered. I am so lucky to have this restaurant so close to me! I couldn't even tell you how many times I have ordered from here in the last year. My boyfriend (meat eater) and me (vegan) have never had a bad meal. I've tried most things on the menu at this point but some of my favorites are the vegan Buffalo chicken pizza and the vegan fish sandwich. Whether it's an appetizer, calzone, sub, or pizza you really can't go wrong. Great value for portion size as well. The owner is also constantly doing great things for the community, I love all the open mic and game nights they do. I had a great pizza. We were wanting to get a slice to go, but after walking in I decided to get a whole pizza. It smelled great in there. It took maybe 15 minutes for it to be ready and remarkably still warm by the time we got home. I got pepperoni and green pepper. The pepperoni was crispy on the edges and the crust was baked just right. It was very tasty. I live south of Brookline which means a lot twisty roads and the cobblestoned Creedmoor. Being vegan is hard in regards to pizza, I was able to order Seitan wings and vegan pizza with sausage and pepperoni. They apparently order from Herbivorous Butcher which is a specialty vegan butcher world renown! The seitan wings were...ok. Not enough sauce. Buffalo was good tho. Pizza was really good although I would have liked more sauce. I had to add sugar to the marinara sauce they provided for my vegan breadsticks. Brookline has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to pizza, but Antonio's more than holds its own. Antonio's is consistently good, reasonably priced, and our order is always ready on time. Being from California, I've struggled a lot with pizza in Pittsburgh, which seems to be the local cuisine and as such *everywhere*. I prefer lighter crusts with less heavy ingredients, I guess. Never mind that finding a decent vegan pizza is a challenge. Now, I'm not going to say that Antinio's is off the wall amazing, because it's not, but it's close by, and pretty good and have a very extensive vegan menu which is easy to order from and not just pizza, so it deserves 5 stars for that alone. I'm working my way through the vegan menu, and have found the thin crust more to my liking - some vegan meat options are good as long as it's not laid on too heavy - perhaps I just need to experiment a bit more with the toppings. I did try the "fish" sandwich, and it wasn't really to my liking. Oh well. And check out out their hearse! Unfortunately the main street in Brookline is home to some less desirable characters, but oh well. read more

Great pizza with plenty of options for omnivores and vegans alike! One of the few places that doesn't charge extra to substitute vegan cheese. They have a variety of vegan meat substitutes and tons of veggie toppings. I got v cheese, v sausage, green peppers, and onions. Delicious! My omnivore boyfriend enjoyed the Hawaiian pizza.
